->''" Let's go steal a Parker."''
In Wakefield Agricultural Corporation, Parker is running for her life from the security guards early in the morning. Vorhees, the chief of security, waits patiently as he assures his men they'll capture her. At the HQ, Nate is cooking breakfast for himself while Sophie compliment his cooking skills as Nate says that he learns it in prison kitchen. Their moment was interrupted by an anonymous phone call, telling Nate that Parker's in trouble and even mentions of Steranko system. No time to waste, Nate and Sophie calls Hardison and Eliot to meet them in Parker's place. At her place, Nate is surprise her home is at a storage facility but once they enters inside (thanks to Sophie's help knowing what Parker's will key in), they're surprise to see a bunch of files, plans, equipment and a bed. Once Hardison and Eliot enters the place, Nate ask them to search the place for clues. Sophie is impress that the plans is similar to what Nate will do. Hardison is shocked to see that she's entering a building with a Steranko Security System. Sophie is clueless on what's Steranko since she's a grifter. Hardison explains that Steranko is the toughest security system in the world and consider the smartest since it 'learns' ever moves and strategy based on the response. Nate ask if Hardison can crack it for Parker but he says it's impossible to do it remotely but could crack it inside the building. Nate finds out the location and head to the Wakefield Corporation.
Outside the building, they find out that Wakefield does research on agriculture namely wheat, rice and corn and earns $200 million a year doing biotech research; consider the third-world infrastructure. However two years ago the company make bad investment and the CEO Charles Rushing is in trouble and has avoided two takeover bids as currently the board of directors are after him. Nate realize that Parker has a partner and decides that he and Eliot checks the rooftop as he recalls that her partner mentions that he's 'on' the building but not 'in' the building while Sophie and Hardison figures out a way to enter the building using Sophie's idea. Meanwhile, Rushing and Vice president of R&D, Dr. Anne Hannity checks on Vorhees about the situation and wants this done as fast as possible. Vorhees suggest to do a lockdown the entire building but Rushing refuse to allow it as he still have auditors after him and might not able to explain about this situation. Just then Rushing was inform that two auditors are downstairs right now. Vorhees then tells that he have his men going to floor to floor doing retinal scans with I.D. Badges and in 50 minutes, they'll do a full lockdown. Rushing then comes down with his assistant and the auditors turn out to be Sophie and Hardison to see 'who's going to get fired today'.
Meanwhile, Nate and Eliot walks up the building roof that is nearby Wakefield when they are greeted by Archie Leech, the world's greatest thief and also Parker's teacher. Just then they were greeted by guards but were taken down by Eliot(and a bit of help from Leech since these are not his men). Leech tells them that the reason she's doing this to rescue his 'father', namely him, as he's the one who teaches Parker everything a perfect thief needs to learn. The problem is he can't take back with him with his real family as his wife thinks he's an accountant, knowing it would blown his cover. Then he tells him that an employee ask him to break into Wakefield with Steranko unknowing how they find him even he's retired. He ask Parker for consultant and shows them the plans that he receives from the employees but all the sudden Parker just jump the gun and breaks into Steranko. Nate reassures him that once Hardison manages to access the system, they'll find a way.
Meanwhile Sophie tells Rushing that he needs him to call all his senior executives and heads of departments in five minutes into the conference room while asking him to lead Hardison to a room with computer access to check the records. Rushing complies as he doesn't want to get into any trouble. Once Hardison gain access, Nate tells Sophie to cause a bit of chaos and distractions giving Hardison some time. Sophie announce that everyone in the room is fired due to them not knowing the company's problem. It works as Hannity tells her she can't do that as she's just a consultant but Sophie decides to tells everyone that can convince her will be rehired, which again causes everyone to pick them. Meanwhile Hardison confirms that Steranko is running at level one, passive lockdown and Parker is safe as long she doesn't escape until Voorhees completes the lockdown. Eliot checks the perimeters and confirms that it's impenetrable, until he figures that one of the CEOs would have kept their office off of the sensor grid. Alec warns that if he hacks into the sensors to find Parker, Steranko will pick her up as well, and all they can do is wait for her to send up a signal. Parker on the other hand, exits the vents and realize that the guards are doing scans and tries to call Hardison using the phone call by disguising as an employee and use a cubical. Once Hardison receives the call, Parker tells him she screwed up but was surprise that the team is already in the building. Realizing she's using the landline, he tells him to hang up as Steranko manages to pick up her area and ask her to go to an empty cubical before she gets busted.
Nate and Leech are at the operation base realizing that the blueprints and plans are actually the original documents, which means someone in a high-level position gives it to Leech. Nate ask Sophie to look something out of the ordinary and she realize that while everyone is panicking, only Hannity is relaxing. Hardison checks her background and both Nate and Leech realize she's in on it meaning that this is an inside job to tied up loose ends, meaning that they'll kill her rather than taking the blame. Luckily, Hardison manages to mail her a package containing an earbud where Hardison tells her to be. Once the com is on, Leech scold her for doing this but Parker mention that if she didn't they might hurt his real family or even worse. Leech ask her to look around but was then confronted by an employee as coincidentally Parker's sitting at Cubical 27 and drags her to the severance party with the other co-workers. Just then Hardison finds a gap in the sensors in the 38th floor which happens to be the CEO's office as Nate tells him to go up there He thinks it's impossible going up there in broad daylight until he spots a cleaners coming out from the van preparing to use the window cleaning platform. Hardison then realize that she causes 60 million dollars losses last year to create some sort of 'whear' so Nate tells Sophie to ask everyone to step outside leaving only her and Hannity while making her angry.
When confronted, Hannity reveals what she spent the last year and $60 million studying; a rare blight called [=UG99=] with the potential to destroy all known strains of wheat - all save a GMO variant that she is now presenting to them. Release the blight, and Wakefield's monopoly on UG99-resistant wheat would make them a fortune beyond compare - while millions starve to death. Nate then realizes that Hannity hired Leech to steal the blight so as to distance Wakefield from the catastrophe she seeks to unleash.
Nate and Leech argues on what to do next with three people stuck in the building at the moment. Just as Parker leaves the party and manages to head into the CEO room when Eliot's outside the window using the window cleaner platform, Parker refuse to leave due to what Leech didn't teach her but what the team she's in teach her since Hannity's going to hurt a lot of people. Nate realize what she says it's true while Leech tells him that he 'killed Parker'.
Parker leaves the office but a security guard caught her but was saved by Eliot (probably breaking in the CEO's office window) and Hardison leads them downstairs using the staircase because she knows where the vault is. Hardison tells them to do it fast as Steranko is locking him out fast. Worse, Vorhees tells Hannity that Sophie and Hardison are imposters and decides to take care of them first and deal with Parker. Hardison and Sophie makes a break for it while Parker and Eliot manages to enter the room and uses the scanner that Eliot steals from one of the guards. Successfully, Parker manages to steal the blight but causes Steranko to reach a level 4 Hazmat Containment Breach. Soon, fire engines surround Wakefield as everyone leaves the building and news crew comes in to do a report. Nate and Leech then walks to steal a couple of Hazmat suits when Leech points a gun at Nate for doing this. But Nate retorts that they're trying to protect Parker and gives Leech the Hazmat suits. Back at the office, Hannity and Vorhees realize that they plan to disguise themselves as cover and enters the elevator. They decide to cut them off in the middle when they meets them at the elevator at gun point. As they lead them to the vacant office, one of the people reveals to be Leech. Leech tells her that she breach his contract and make a new deal but Hannity insist that once the virus spreads, they kill Leech and his crew and make them take the fall.
However, once Hannity tells him how they prefer to die, Leech says he refuses either and the crew reveals to be Janet Lin and her crew from Channel 6 news plus they are recording live. What happen was that before Hardison leaves the office, Nate tells him to create a fake Hazmat alarm by making Hardison open the elevator door for them. Before Nate and Leech enters, they give some of the Hazmat suits to Janet Lin and her news crew. She worries on what Nate tells her producer on the phone of his story but was reassure that it might boost her career and might win a Pullitzer. Confuse and shocked, Hannity and Vorhees then see Nate and his crew leaving the building using the window cleaning platform.
At the meeting point under the bridge, Leech thank Nate for saving Parker. Parker then goes to Leech, congratulating her for her performance. Parker broke into tears that this is all she could help him and his family as she do know she don't belong in his real family. Before they part ways, Leech ask Parker for his wallet back and she gives him back. Nate ask what did they discuss while Parker only mentions that they're talking about thief stuffs.
* BrandishmentBluff: Sophie has no true power to fire anyone, but her calm, cool demeanor armed with a folder apparently filled with Hannity's work and resume, is enough to get under the evil doctor's skin and get her to confess.
* CallBack: The code to Parker's real home is Sophie's real name.
* CaneFu: Archie uses a little on one of the men who has to guard him.
* CharacterDevelopment: Parker shows some fine development when she stands up to Archie, rejecting his philosophy "We get out" when the things get bad, defending the need to stay and steal the blight to stop Hannity from hurting more people.
* TheDreaded: The Steranko is this. Even the US government thought it to be overkill.
* IntrepidReporter: Nate pushes Janet into being one by convincing her to enter the building, which according to the police has a nuclear problem, as this whole story might win her a Pulitzer.
* MadScientist: Dr. Hannity would like to unleash an apocalyptic plague on the world to increase her company's profits.
* NoodleIncident: Nate and Archie have met before.
* PapaWolf: Archie is willing to shoot Nate because he feels Nate "broke" Parker and now she is some WindmillCrusader with a Robin Hood fantasy.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: While Sophie doesn't know the heads of the departments, after her announcement to fire all of them but rehire the "necessary" ones, it creates chaos and infighting as different heads try to work together to prove their work is needed. Dr. Hannity just sits there cool as a cucumber despite her department having spent over $100 million on a failed project.
* OldMaster: Archie still has some chops left in him with how he used CaneFu on the last guard on him.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: This is Archie's philosophy. If a job gets too serious, too dangerous, he gets out regardless of the consequences.
