Nathan Ford is at Boston Assurance manage to find a suitable job for him but once he sees how boring the company is and some of the workers are not too happy, he leaves. Meanwhile Matt Kerrigan and her daughter Zoe is driving on their way back being advise by Zoe to tell the cops about his problem. But suddenly the brakes didn't work and they crash at the middle of the street. Luckily, Nate was there and manage to save Zoe. Nate saw a guy, telling him to save Matt but instead he steals his briefcase while Nate manages to save Matt before the car explodes. Soon, Nate was greeted by Glenn Leary, the boss of the bank that Matt's been working and Lieutenant Bonanno, thanking Nate for saving him. Leary tells Nate that he's been drinking as the bank is going to be closed due to their bad assets and he takes it pretty hard. But as they leave, Zoe, who's in the hospital bed with his father, tells Nate there's something wrong with the car.
At night the Leverage team reunites at the theater where Sophie is starring in the lead role of Marie in the Sound of Music. But it was later shown with them seeing Sophie crying on how bad her acting is in the McRory Pub (where Nate is staying at the condo upstairs). The crew begs Nate to team back up again since they got bored and miserable but Nate refuses. However, he was assaulted by the same thug who steals the bag but was saved by Sophie; unintentionally knocking out Nate in the process. The next morning, he was waken up by the loud crunching noise by Parker, wearing a nun outfit, while realizing his former team is in his apartment scheming a plan after knowing Nate saves the Kerrigans. The crew manages to track down the hitman and also found Kerrigan's empty briefcase. After some details Nate tells them to get out of his place.
Later, Nate notice Hardison is posting some notes on the board; not amuse when he tells him to get out. But Nate realize one of his notes that the mobs belong to Brandon O'Hare in which Hardison may have accidentally brings Eliot to one of the warehouses that the mobs are taking care off. Luckily Eliot manage to fend himself with the thugs and leaves in one piece. Moments later, Nate is not happy that the crew uses the kitchen for their plans. They soon find out that O'Hare opens up fake business to bailout the money from the bank that's being closed down in a few days since their business are clean on the outside, dirty in the inside. Nate then has a change of heart and decides to do this one final job. After Nate gives them the roles and task (and even wants to call the professional killer who tries to murder him to meet him in an isolated island), Sophie comments he misses them.
Dressed as two state police, they interrogate with Leary about the incident with Matt Kerrigan while Eliot purposely let Leary sees him while he secretly planted a few detonators on the walls. Nate on the other hand was beaten up by O'Hare's thugs , explain to O'Hare that he's working undercover but O'Hare tells him he pick the wrong job. He was going to tell his goons to kill him when Sophie came to save him, explaining to O'Hare of his plans and his credit crunch scheme. She tells him that they want to get in with 30% of their business to their 'more solid funds'. O'Hare agrees while Sophie tells them they pay them 250 grand for good faith payment. Back at the bank, Eliot detonate the charges when Leary exits out, prompting him that someone wants to shoot him while Leary calls Hardison.
Meanwhile, Nate visits Zoe and her dad and Zoe blames herself since she's the one who notice something's bothering his dad and tells him to call the cops and this happens, quoting "Be careful, Zoe. There are wolves in the world." that his dad tells him. Nate tells her she's not wrong.
The next day, the team manages to set a plan where Leary goes to the State Police and report that O'Hare tries to kill him by using the 250 grand money as a frame-up. The plan was set in motion but Eliot, who's been following Leary, tells them that Leary stops at the warehouse where Nate and O'Hare is making the deal and heading towards them. Leary was arguing with O'Hare as Nate tells the crew (with the new ear-buds) that Leary's the boss and not O'Hare and decides to make up the plan as they go. Leary just notice Nate and tells them to kill him but Nate reminds him that he was suppose to send the 'good-faith payment', while revealing the money to them and assume O'Hare's in charge. Leary tells Nate that he's in charge and comes up with the bailout plan to begin with and earns loads of cash even they did get caught. Just then, Eliot was captured by the thugs and reveal to have a state trooper badge by name.
Leary tells O'Hare to kill him but O'Hare refuse. While they argue, Sophie shots Eliot dead and ask him to check for wires. Nate checks him to find a cellphone while Leary checks it. Sophie tells him to hit re-dial and it goes to O'Hare. It turns out that Nate use the phone HE calls O'Hare moments ago and pretend to take it out from Eliot's coat. Furious Leary thinks that O'Hare sells them out since he refuse to shoot him while unable to answer and confuse, O'Hare runs away but being saved by Hardison and Parker who was waiting outside the place in their own vehicle. They stop somewhere telling O'Hare that the tactical forces are moving in and tells them to make a deal with them. O'Hare reveal the plan and Parker taser him, knocking him out cold while Hardison manages to record his confession. Leary tells Nate and Sophie about them and he knows they don't have evidence against him since it would be just O'Hare's words. Nate tells him that if Matt wakes up, his bailout plan fails so Leary decides to take care of that problem while taking the briefcase. After he leaves, it turns out that Eliot use the detonator and some ketchup under his shirt to fake his death while the crew leaves the places.
Leary enters secretly to the hospital with the gun and was going to kill Matt but was greeted by Lieutenant Bonanno when he jerks off the curtain, shocking Leary. Bonanno checks the briefcase he's holding with a lot of money and tells Leary that O'Hare has been cooperative (since he's been tied up at his car with a tape confession) and conclude that since O'Hare flipped, he robbed his own bank. What happen a few days ago is Hardison and Parker dress as a priest and nun and Parker somehow duplicated the master key and use it to steal all the money in his bank. Leary denies and tries to tell him he has nothing to do with it but Bonanno ask him why is he carrying Matt's stolen briefcase as he show him Matt's initials. While Leary's being arrested, he denies and tells him that he's being frame up. Bonnanno refuse to believe him as who would believe him a case full of evidence of his own crimes.
Back at the McRory's Pub, The Kerrigans thank Nate for helping them out as Nate gives them the check from the IRS as Matt's the first to figure out the tax fraud. Zoe thanks Nate knowing that there are some good guys among the wolves. The team leaves Nate for him to drink himself alone after he finish that job but jokes to them that until he finds a job he continue working with them. Once Nate returns to his apartment, Nate was shocked to see that Hardison sets up 6 monitors on the wall while Parker brings in the old painting from the previous season. Nate was horrified to learn that Hardison bought the whole apartment and he's the landlord of Nate's apartment ending with Eliot breaking down the wall for more space.
