Preschooler Ryan Downing is found to have a high fever. 911 is called but he succumbs to VRSA, a deadly virus. His autopsy shows he was injected with the virus, which is eventually connected to his father Aaron Downing. Briscoe and Curtis arrest him while he is packing to flee to Fiji. He and his mistress had been embezzling money from his company. While out on bail, he hangs himself.
