A priest at a parochial school, Father Grady is shot in his confessional. During Briscoe and Green's investigation, it comes out he was not the real target. Father Evans was the real target. He received information outside the church about a murder that would clear an innocent man, but he refuses to cooperate, citing the confessional seal. [=McCoy=] subpoenas the priest. Bishop Durning tries to convince [=McCoy=] not to force Father Evans to testify. He tries offering a deal to the alleged murderer, Angel Cabrera, but he declines. The bishop is dismayed when Father Evan speaks to what he heard.
