While going to the store to get toilet paper for Jake (who spends the entire episode sitting on the toilet reading a teen magazine), Daria gets lost in the homecoming parade, where she meets several people from past episodes.

!!Tropes:
----
* AnimalTesting: Tad tries to defend Daria from Sandi using a hairspray on her, claiming that those products were tested on animals, to which Quinn reacts horrified. Sandi then excuses herself saying it's ok to use them so the animals didn't die in vain.
* BrickJoke: At the beginning of the episode, Quinn is looking for her teen magazine. Later, after Daria leaves to buy Jake's toilet paper, Jake mentions that he's reading said teen magazine.
* ContinuityNod: Almost every character that ever had a speaking role in the show up to this point in the series makes at least a cameo.
* DidIJustSayThatOutLoud: When Tom makes a snark comment about Lawndale High, Daria snarks back before realizing she just defended her own school. Daria and Tom agree never to speak of this conversation again.
* EveryoneHasStandards: It's telling that Quinn's horrified as soon as Tad mentions their make-up was tested on animals, while Sandi doesn't care.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Once again, Daria and Tom share a long look at each other as Tom is leaving with Jane. They would eventually develop feelings for each other.
* ITakeOffenseToThatLastOne: Tad Gupty gets into an argument with Sandi, calling her a mean old witch. Sandi just snaps back, "I am ''not'' old!"
* LongingLook: As Daria is leaving covered in paint, and Jane is dragging Tom, he turns to give Daria a long look as she leaves.
* ShoutOut:
** When Tad asks Daria to help him find his parents, he says it'll be like the adventures of ''Literature/{{Babar}}''.
** Upchuck addresses Daria as "[[Creator/BetteMidler the Divine Miss Mmmmm]]".
** The guy in the lion costume who has been pestering Daria and Tom turns out to be Mr O'Neill. Tom quips "[[Franchise/ScoobyDoo and he would have gotten away with it, if it weren't for us meddling kids]]."
** Daria gets splashed with paint by the end of the episode. She just brushes it off, saying she always wanted [[Theatre/JosephAndTheAmazingTechnicolorDreamcoat an amazing technicolor dreamcoat.]]
* SomethingWeForgot: By the end of the episode, we see that Jake is still stuck in the bathroom with no toilet paper (which Daria had lost anyway trying to get through the parade).
* TokenMinorityCouple: Highlighted in this episode by Mack and Jodie being elected Homecoming King and Queen, something they're both aware is just an attempt by Lawndale High to hide the school's lack of diversity.
* TooMuchInformation: Daria's response when Jake tells her there's no toilet paper in their other bathroom... because he was in there first and then went into this bathroom looking for it.
