Gilroy has Michael stealing flight records (after Claude's failure last time, he's finally letting Michael go in alone). Also, Larry (yes, dead Larry) is back and he gifted Michael with a corpse in his loft.

----

* ArmorPiercingQuestion: Larry is so angry about Michael getting the better of him that he's prepared to open fire, not caring one bit about Mike using his current ID when phoning in a tip to the cops. He thinks he can still wiggle out by simply faking his death again and starting over. Michael points out the little matter of his current ID's money to shut him up.
-->'''Michael:''' Sure, but what about Larry Garber's investments and all of his bank accounts?
* ArmorPiercingResponse: As part of his con to turn him, Larry hits Michael with one.
-->'''Larry:''' You know what's sad? I don't see anyone else steppin' up to bail you out.
* AssholeVictim: Carlos is still alive when we see him last, but it's expected that he'll be arrested, end up in prison, and be killed on the order of his bosses.
* BerserkButton: Larry is all smiles, until he learns Michael returned the stolen money to Carlos. Then he's ready to shoot Michael dead.
* ChekhovsGag: On the subject of leaving town before the cartel comes looking for the stolen money, Larry quips, "My bags are packed." After talking to Sam, Michael realizes the stolen money was hidden in the loft's punching bag.
* DisproportionateRetribution: Subverted. Larry manages to manipulate Fiona into wanting space from Michael by telling her about their missions together, while Sam argues with Mike about handing over all the flight data to Gilroy and storms out. When Michael really needs their help, they aren't even answering the phone, seemingly in response to these disagreements. However, Larry sabotaged Michael's phone to ensure he couldn't contact them. When Mike is actually able to get a call through, they answer like they always do.
* EveryoneHasStandards:
** Michael clearly didn't like the idea of Maddie moving away, but he nonetheless fully agreed with Nate's concern about her safety and would've given his blessing if she had said yes.
** For all of her own behavior, Fiona is sick to her stomach by Larry and disgusted that Michael put up with his actions for three years.
** Sam refuses to hand over all of the flight plan data to a lunatic like Gilroy. While there's some concern for himself being on the hook for anything that goes wrong, he's mainly concerned about the friend that helped acquire the data and all the people traveling on those planes.
* {{Facepalm}}:
** Played for laughs at the dinner table, as this is Michael's response to Nate wanting to again talk about Maddie moving to Vegas.
** Played for drama when Michael realizes how Larry duped him.
* FourthDateMarriage: Nate got married a month after meeting a black jack dealer in Vegas.
* FunnyBackgroundEvent: Michael enters from the back, as Nate and Ruby implore Maddie to move out to Vegas with them. Some of his surprised reactions are framed while he's in the background.
* MaleGaze: Gilroy insists on meeting Michael in a jacuzzi. When Mike leaves, Gilroy quite obviously checks out his speedo-clad butt.
* ManipulativeBastard: Larry is in top form. He says just the right things to make Fiona not want to be around Michael for a while, takes full advantage of a disagreement with Sam, and tricks a criminal into thinking Mike ripped off some cash. Due to some covert phone sabotage, Michael's efforts to call for help fail, leaving him this close to having no choice but to fall in with Larry.
* MyFriendsAndZoidberg: Larry greets Michael and Sam.
-->'''Larry:''' Nice to see you, kid! And, Sam, I also see you.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Michael is kicking himself for falling for Larry's con.
* NoSympathy: Larry points out that the cartel bosses will have Carlos killed down the line. Michael is unconcerned, saying Carlos chose to work for a cartel and thus brought such a fate on himself.
* OhCrap: Michael's irritated expression when he realizes where Larry hid the money: the punching bag in the loft.
* RunningGag: Everyone translates "pendejo" as "like idiot, but ruder". True enough.
* SickeningCrunch: Jablonski misses the matress on the jump into the pool and ends up with a broken foot.
* SpannerInTheWorks: Larry's plan to isolate and manipulate Michael was working like a charm, until Nate dropped by the loft to complain about Mike not answering his calls.
* ThisIsGonnaSuck: All of the flight data looks more or less the same, save for one particular plan where a flight is given an extremely wide berth. As Sam says, this is the kind of thing a government has to mandate, and he clearly doesn't like thinking about what's going to be on that plane.
* ThouShaltNotKill: Michael typically prefers to avoid killing, but with Carlos blaming him for stolen cash, he states he would kill Larry to get out of this mess. Larry very much likes to hear such forcefulness, as he's pushing him to become a remorseless killer. Ultimately, to Larry's annoyance, Michael stands by his convictions: no killing unless absolutely necessary.
* WeWillMeetAgain: Forced to back off, Larry warns Michael of this.
* YouAreNotAlone: After Michael realizes how Larry played him by sabotaging his phone.
-->'''Nate:''' You really thought no one was answering your calls? Jesus, bro. Dad's dead. You're not in Afghanistan anymore. I mean, when you gonna learn there are people you can trust?
