!!Tropes in this episode include:
* AlmostKiss: When Batman and Selina reunite after he helps her deal with the two "dog catchers", the two share a moment together with Selina flirting with him and leaning in to kiss him, only to be interrupted due to the arrival of the police.
* BadPeopleAbuseAnimals: One of the "dog catchers" outright dislikes animals, and is more than happy to infect them.
* BondVillainStupidity:
** Rather than pursue her, Milo and his thugs just let Catwoman succumb to the deadly disease Isis gave her. She is immobilized, but Batman comes to her aid.
** Averted later when Batman gets submerged in an icy pond and Daggett's goons keep watch to shoot him if he emerges. Unfortunately for them, he breaks through the ice right underneath them and catches them by surprise.
* CallBack: The events of Catwoman's last major appearance, "[[Recap/BatmanTheAnimatedSeriesE15TheCatAndTheClawPart1 The Cat]] [[Recap/BatmanTheAnimatedSeriesE16TheCatAndTheClawPart2 and the Claw]]", are referenced in the opening scene at Selina's trial, where the judge says that since she helped Batman save Gotham from annihilation she is given a much lighter sentence of only five years probation.
* ExactWords: Selina promises Bruce "You won't see Selina Kyle anywhere near Daggett Labs". She never said anything about "Catwoman".
* KarmicJackpot: PlayedWith during Selina's trial in the beginning. Selina pleads guilty to all her criminal charges as Catwoman, which is stated to hold a sentence of 25 years in prison. The judge notes that although her reason for comitting these crimes was to help benefit animals and wildlife, this is ''not'' a mitigating factor because "theft is theft". However, since she helped Batman save Gotham from annihilation against Red Claw, she is given a much more lenient sentence of only 5 years probation. But the judge also warns Selina that if she ever breaks the law as Catwoman again, then there will be no mercy next time.
* LovesMyAlterEgo: Alfred asks Bruce if he plans to see Selina now that she's no longer a wanted criminal. He replies that Selina loves Batman but not Bruce, which is confirmed in a later conversation:
-->'''Selina:''' Your bail money is safe.\\
'''Bruce:''' That's not important, Selina. You are.\\
'''Selina:''' ''[awkardly]'' Bruce... I like you, a lot... [[LetsJustBeFriends but as a friend]].\\
'''Bruce:''' I understand.
* NoOneCouldSurviveThat: While Daggett's goons watch the icy pond when Batman is submerged in it, ready to shoot him as soon as he emerges, they eventually say there's no way her could still be alive due to how long he has been under and in the sheer cold temperature. As soon as they are done TemptingFate though, Batman breaks through the ice directly beneath them.
-->'''Milo:''' No one could withstand this degree of hypothermia.\\
'''Jessy:''' Guy's gotta be an ice cube by now!
* NotWhatItLooksLike: When Selina witnesses the "dog catchers," who are clearly not who they say they are, collecting stray animals, she attacks. To Montoya, it looks like she was assaulting two public servants, and she is arrested.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: After Isis is infected with Daggett's strain of rabies, she ends up biting Catwoman when she arrives to rescue her.
* PetTheDog: In the final scene, Batman returns the now-cured Isis to Selina's apartment.
* PoisonAndCureGambit: CorruptCorporateExecutive Roland Daggett has stray animals infected with an incredibly virulent new strain of rabies that he plans to sell the cure for.
* PoundsAreAnimalPrisons: Invoked in reverse by Batman when he captures Daggett's mooks and tells them they're on their way to "the pound."
* SnowMeansLove: Batman meets Catwoman in the snow, and she has to ask, "Are you getting soft on criminals, or just on me?"
* SpannerInTheWorks: Daggett's plans are ruined due to Catwoman deciding to investigate him, because one of his lawyers bailed out the two thugs that were arrested alongside her.
* TheUnmasking: At the beginning, Catwoman, having been arrested and outed as Selina Kyle at the end of [[Recap/BatmanTheAnimatedSeriesE16TheCatAndTheClawPart2 her first appearance]], is put on probation--if Catwoman is sighted, Selina is to be arrested immediately. However, with the possible exception of "[[Recap/TheAdventuresOfBatmanAndRobinE9Catwalk Catwalk]]," this is the only episode to actually use this plot point in any way. Either the writers forgot or Selina is just that good.
** More precisely, the judge warned Selina about putting on her costume ''to commit any more crimes''. Also, the newspaper at the end of the episode describes her as helping Batman foil Daggett's scheme. That ought to leave her with enough wiggle room to continue being Catwoman as long as she avoids getting caught in any clear illegalities.
