Oh, how we love this show for all the {{Parental Bonus}}es and sneaking some questionable content into the show. [[WesternAnimation/RockosModernLife Guess what other show known for adult content had a lot of the same crew...]]
For the radar for the movie, see [[Radar/TheSpongeBobSquarePantsMovie here.]]

[[folder: Before you add an example, ask yourself the following: "Am I purposely taking a quote out of context?" "Am I reading way too deeply into an innocent joke?" "Is the 'hidden' joke the ''only'' joke?" If you answer yes to any, that's not this trope. ]]

[[folder:Pre-Movie Seasons]]

[[folder: Season 1 ]]

* In "Pickles," [=SpongeBob=] wears a pair of underpants over his head. His nose makes a prominent imprint in his underpants, making it resemble an erection.
* In various early episodes, there is a recurring background fish with a visible penis. This was edited out in more recent airings.
* In "Employee of the Month," Squidward badmouths the titular award but is interrupted by patty meat being sprayed from a fan and a loud fart-like sound, obviously standing in for the word "shit." So both times he ends up saying "a load of (ffffft!)... garbage" and "a bunch of (ffffft!)... baloney".
* From at least some airings of "Squidward the Unfriendly Ghost":
-->'''Squidward''': Quiet! Now, do as you're told! Lest ye incur the wrath of Squidward!
-->'''Patrick''' (''whispering to [=SpongeBob=]''): I think they make a cream for that now.
* In "Texas," [=SpongeBob=] shakes his butt and says "Tex-aaaaassss!!", much to the chagrin of a blushing Sandy.
** In the same episode:
-->'''[=SpongeBob:=]''' Patrick, your genius is showing.\\
'''Patrick''': ''(covers crotch)'' [[HandOrObjectUnderwear Where?!]]
* In "Walking Small", Plankton asks [=SpongeBob=] about his new tan.
--> '''Plankton:''' Is that an all-over tan?
--> '''[=SpongeBob=]:''' Well, not all of me.

[[folder: Season 2 ]]

* At the beginning of the episode "Your Shoe's Untied," [=SpongeBob=] is watching a TV show with a live-action orange sea anemone gyrating to energetic go-go dancer-style music, which he finds "entertaining" (leaning forward eagerly in his seat at one point). Suddenly, [[CaughtWithTheirPantsDown Gary walks in on SB]], who panics and changes the channel to a football game, claiming unconvincingly, "I-I-I-I was just looking for the sports channel, Gary..."
* In the brief montage in "Grandma's Kisses" of times that Patrick has been wrong, the final shot is of [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick wearing g-strings on the beach.
* In "Something Smells", [=SpongeBob=] yells [[ComingOutStory "I'm ugly and I'm proud!"]]
-->'''Squidward:''' [[IsThatWhatTheyreCallingItNow Is THAT what he calls it?]]
* At one point in "Bubble Buddy" Squidward is getting tired of having to wait on the eponymous inanimate object hand and foot. One of Spongebob's many complaints about the food he is bringing leads to an outburst from Squidward. Though Mr. Krabs [[CurseCutShort cuts him off]], it's fairly obvious what he was about to suggest:
-->'''Spongebob:''' Bubble Buddy's lactose intolerant! He can't eat cheese! What should we do?
-->'''Squidward:''' We?! How about ''you'' take these patties and sh-
-->'''Mr. Krabs:''' Mr. Squidward!
** The reveal that Bubble Buddy is a sentient being means the fact that he stood idly by and watched Scooter ''drown'' is much more disturbing.
** And just what ''was'' he doing in the bathroom for two hours?
* In "Dying for Pie," [=SpongeBob=] performs open heart surgery on Squidward [[RuleOfFunny for some reason]]. When he pokes Squidward's heart, '''''[[HighPressureBlood blood starts squirting out of it]]'''''.
* In "Christmas Who?," as Squidward mocks [=SpongeBob=] for celebrating Christmas, a picture of a [[VisualPun donkey]] shows up as the scene plays. It appears again after Squidward realizes the error of his ways.
--> '''Squidward''': I feel like a... I feel like a...! ''(image of donkey shows up over his face, complete with "heehaw" sound effects)''... big jerk!
* In "I'm Your Biggest Fanatic," [=SpongeBob=] tells Kevin he'll do anything for him, and Kevin asks him to jump off a building. Yes, Kevin literally told Spongebob to kill himself.
** At the end of the episode, the other Jellyspotters take Kevin C. Cucumber's crown and give it to [=SpongeBob=], who exclaims, "I didn't know this was a hat!" A tearful Kevin responds, "It wasn't." While this brutal mutilation is questionable enough, in real life, the sea cucumber's "crown" actually corresponds to its anus, something marine biologist Stephen Hillenburg was undoubtedly aware of.
* In "The Smoking Peanut," Sandy's response to [=SpongeBob=] running off, exclaiming that he has to go get his hair cut.
-->'''Sandy''': [=SpongeBob=] doesn't have hair...''(pause with a disgusted look)''...or ''does'' he?
** Patrick appearing to lick [=SpongeBob=] was a bit [[LecherousLicking suggestive]], too, even though it turned out to be a lemon-flavored popsicle that just happened to be colored like [=SpongeBob=].
* In "Gary Takes a Bath," as [=SpongeBob=] hands Gary some bars of soap which he claims are "doubloons", he tells him: "[[PrisonRape Don't drop 'em]]!"
* In "Procrastination," there was a scene where [=SpongeBob=] looks out the window and sees his friends having fun, and at one point it shows Patrick rubbing sun tan lotion on Sandy's back while Patrick happily shouts "Come on, [=SpongeBob=]!" This scene was never shown again in syndication for unknown reasons, but some say it was because it looked like Patrick was trying to take Sandy's bikini top off.
* During the infamous "Sailor Mouth," it's pretty obvious what they're actually saying. "Hi Patrick, how the fuck are you?"
* In "The Fry Cook Games," [=SpongeBob=] comes out as wearing feminine pink underwear and Patrick is wearing yellow underwear at the end and says "[[UrineTrouble You know, these were white when I bought 'em.]]"
* In "Band Geeks", after an upset Squidward storms out of the band practice, [=SpongeBob=] asks Larry the Lobster, "When your heart gave out after you used too many tanning pills, who revived you?" To which he replies, "Some guy in an ambulance." In other words, Larry suffered a ''drug overdose'' and had to be revived.
* In "Secret Box," [=SpongeBob=] disguises himself as a burglar by using a pair of pantyhose as a mask. As he slips it on, his head briefly takes on that of [[ShesGotLegs a woman's leg]].

[[folder: Season 3 ]]

* In "The Algae's Always Greener," Plankton mentions the only thing he's ever reviewed were "[[PoorMansPorn foreign exercise videos]]" his cousin sent him.
** Not to mention, Plankton's less-than-subtle CurseCutShort:
--> '''Plankton:''' No more intrusions! I'd like to begin writing the memoirs of my success story, so everyone just '''stay the—''' *ground shakes*
--> '''Pearl:''' Daddy! DADDY!
** And even before that,
--> '''Plankton:''' I'll boil the customer in hot oil! I'll rip out his - (''[=SpongeBob=] points the customer to him'')
* This exchange from the episode "Spongeguard on Duty"
-->'''Patrick''' Being a lifeguard is so dumb! All they do is blow, blow, blow on their stupid whistles, rub, rub, rub that white stuff on their noses and show off their ''gross'' '''''misshapen bodies!'''''
--> [A fish walks up seeing Patrick's belly bulge out over his shorts]
-->'''Fish''': Dude, put that thing away! There are, like, children here!
* In "My Pretty Seahorse" a fish called Scooter tries to insert a coin into a real seahorse that he thinks is a kiddie ride. "I can't find the coin slot... [[AssShove here it is!]]" Or, considering that Mystery [[GroinAttack is a girl]]...
* In "Just One Bite," a fish squirts a load of white cream into his mouth, which Squidward calls "disgusting." It's mayonnaise.
* In the beginning of "The Bully," [=SpongeBob=] is seen constantly rearranging his pencils. When he asks a student where one pencil goes, she says "I think it goes stuck inside [[CurseCutShort your-]]."
* The episode "Nasty Patty" is quite possibly the most triumphant example. Convinced they ''[[AccidentalMurder killed]]'' the health inspector, Mr. Krabs and [=SpongeBob=] attempt to bury his corpse in a shallow grave. Facing pressure from the police, they snap and turn on each other. It doesn't help that the show was rated TV-Y when this episode aired.
* In "Snowball Effect," when it is showcasing snow sculptures, there is a flat-chested snow mermaid. Right next to it, there are two grinning boys that are each holding a very large snowball.
* In "Rock-a-Bye Bivalve," when [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick are on a walk with the scallop, they walk past a couple with a baby. [[RebusBubble Thought bubbles appear]], with the equation "Sponge + Starfish = Scallop?" with the woman making a confused face.
** The scene where [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick are going to bed makes it look like they're about to have sex.
** Patrick promises he'll be back from work by 6:00 - and then stumbles into the house at midnight [[LampshadeWearing with a lampshade over his head]], saying "Boy, that was some party!"
** The episode ends with Patrick saying "Let's have another", given the fact that they're still acting as parents...
* In "Party Pooper Pants," [=SpongeBob=] walks past the grog aisle. That's right, the liquor section.
** From the same episode, during one of the live action segments, there is a brief moment with a well-endowed women made up to look like a figurehead from the bow of a ship. A wooden sea captain slides across the floor with his eyes clearly pointed at her cleavage. Her smile quickly turns into a frown.
** Also, Larry says he's aired out the bathroom enough, [[{{Fartillery}} clearly indicating the bodily function he had just performed]].
* In "Chocolate With Nuts," [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick are lamenting their inability to make any sales.
-->'''Patrick:''' I got it! Let's get naked!\\
'''[=SpongeBob=]:''' No, let's save that for [[TakeThat when we're selling real estate]].
** From the same episode:
-->'''Patrick''': ''(reading billboard)'' "Eat Barnacle Chips. They're delicious."
-->'''[=SpongeBob=]''': They are most certainly ''not'' delicious!
-->'''Patrick''': Not the way I use 'em!
* In "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy V," The Chief says that Barnacle Boy's group of villains is tormenting kids in [[MakeOutPoint Make-Out Reef]].
-->'''Squidward:''' Ahhhh, Make-Out Reef. Good times, good times.
** One of the teens at Make-Out Reef is shown making out ''with a pillow''. Double points when you realize that "waifu pillows" exist.
** Also in that episode, Mermaid Man is telling everyone how superheroes get their powers from costumes. Then we get this:
-->'''Mermaid Man:''' Sure! Power's all in the costume. Why else would we run around in colored undies?
-->'''Squidward:''' ''(smirking)'' I can think of three good reasons.
* "Clams" has Mr. Krabs constantly [[ADateWithRosiePalms rubbing]] [[MoneyFetish his dollar]] in between his legs and behind.
-->'''[=SpongeBob=]:''' What's wrong with Mr. Krabs?
-->'''Mr. Krabs:''' Nothing, lad! *holds up dollar* Do you know what this is?
-->'''Squidward:''' A very dirty dollar?
* In "Mid-Life Crustacean," where Mr. Krabs wants to feel young again, he leaps into what he believes is a nightclub yelling "[[AnythingThatMoves Any port in a storm!]]"
** And who can forget the classic Radar-nuking moment of the panty raid? Yes, [=SpongeBob=], Patrick, and Mr. Krabs literally sneak into a woman's house at night and attempt to rifle through her [[IncrediblyLamePun drawers]]. The Kicker? It's ''[[CrossesTheLineTwice Mr. Krabs's Mom's House!]]'' And they've been raiding that house ''[[UpToEleven for years]]!''
* In "Krabby Land," [=SpongeBob=] [[ColdBloodedTorture hires two buff men wearing BDSM gear to torture him for the amusement of children]].
* In "The Camping Episode," Squidward refers to [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick as '''ass'''tronauts (his emphasis).
* In "Plankton's Army," Mr. Krabs flushes Plankton down the toilet... and then says "And now for the chaser!" just before it cuts away. It's not hard to guess [[ToiletHumor what Mr. Krabs was planning to send down after Plankton]]...
* "The Sponge Who Could Fly" has [=SpongeBob=] misinterpreting a prank phone call:
-->'''[=SpongeBob=]:''' Who is this? [[YourMom Joe Mama?]] Well, listen up, Joe!
* In "[=SpongeBob=] Meets the Strangler," there are two blink-and-you'll-miss-it shots of Squidward dancing with [[LampshadeWearing a lampshade on his head]] during a party. He also seems unusually happy in that episode whenever you see him, especially since he's happy to go to [=SpongeBob's=] party, which he normally would never do.
** Not to mention the fact that the Tattletale Strangler is apparently a SerialKiller.
* At the end of "Pranks a Lot," Mr. Krabs calls [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything "Live Nude Pranksters"]] after [[OpenTheDoorAndSeeAllThePeople somehow gathering a bunch of other fish into the Krusty Krab]]. Patrick and [=SpongeBob=] then [[HandOrObjectUnderwear cover each others' butts and crotches]] as the crowd of fish cheered. HOLY SHRIMP! Not to mention the wolf whistle near the end and Mrs. Puff taking ''pictures'' to further Spongebob and Patrick's humiliation.

[[folder:Post-Movie Seasons]]

[[folder: Season 4 ]]

* In "Shell of a Man," [=SpongeBob=] is offered grog and accepts it. Grog is a form of watered down rum.
* In an example far more explicit than the infamous "One Coarse Meal", a guard in "Dunces and Dragons" turns his spear on himself, clearly intending to [[DrivenToSuicide stab himself in the throat]]. He decides not to, saying "Someday, but not today."
* In "Chimps Ahoy," [=SpongeBob=]'s reactions while scratching his back with the Goofy Goober Back Scratcher look positively orgasmic.
* In "Ghost Host," the Flying Dutchman is seen hitting on a female fish at a party. She eyes him skeptically and asks him "[[YourCheatingHeart Is that a wedding ring?!]]"
* Pretty much all of "Karate Island."
** Sandy has to fight a French martial artist called "The Tickler". A French Tickler is a feathered condom.
** Also, at one point, [=SpongeBob=] is tied to a chair, and Udon reaches into his robe, grasping something that makes a clicking noise. [[StabTheSalad It turns out to be a pen]], but [=SpongeBob's=] reaction makes it clear he thought it was a gun.
** Let's not forget the part where Sandy faces off against Udon and expands her oh-so giant muscles, while wearing [[FanDisservice nothing but her casual bikini.]]
* "Bummer Vacation" has Squidward telling [=SpongeBob=] a customer's order of "One shell on a shingle". This is a shout-out to military slang for standard mess hall dining fare, except in the military they say "shit on a shingle".
** "I've been waiting for you, Patrick!" can be taken the wrong way.
* In "Squidtastic Voyage," Squidward accidentally swallows his clarinet. [=Spongebob=] tries to help him and we get a shot of a mother and son walking past Squidward's house. All you can hear are sounds of [=Spongebob=] grunting and Squidward making choking noises, and the mother covers her son's ears and looks disgusted.
* In "Rule of Dumb," a royal minister informs Patrick he's the heir to the throne. When Patrick doesn't understand, he says, "Allow me to show you something!"[[note]](a scroll depicting the royal family tree)[[/note]] -- and starts [[ADateWithRosiePalms rummaging around in his trousers.]] [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick exchange confused glances.
** Double points for also being a ShoutOut to a very adult joke from ''Film/BlazingSaddles'' ("S'cuse me while I whip this out...").
* In "Squid Wood," [=SpongeBob=], Squidward, and two random fish are shown twerking very explicitly.

[[folder: Season 5 ]]

* In "Spy Buddies", When Plankton is about to attack, Squidward calls it "That time of the Month".
** [=SpongeBob=] calls Mr. Krabs on Patrick's "Panta-a-Phone" (where he talks to Patrick's butt). After the phone call ends, an automatic voice says "If you'd like to make another call, please deposit 25 cents". [[AssShove SpongeBob takes out a quarter and Patrick smiles.]]
* In "The Krusty Sponge," [=SpongeBob=], who thinks the Krusty Sponge is being attacked by zombies, pounds on Mr. Krabs' office door. Mr. Krabs then says "Uh, go away please, I'm busy." For any older fan of the show, it could have been implied that Krabs was on ADateWithRosiePalms, especially since Krabs turned out to be [[MoneyFetish bathing in money.]]
* "The Donut of Shame" has [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick looking very inebriated at Patrick's birthday party.
* In "Blackened Sponge," one of [=SpongeBob's=] stories about Jack M. Crazyfish has the villain sporting a massive cold sore on his lip. In other words, he has herpes.
* In "20,000 Patties Under The Sea":
-->'''[=SpongeBob:=]''' BYE SQUIDWARD! BYE MR. KRABS! (seductively) Bye, Squidward.\\
'''Patrick''': Hey, you said 'Bye, Squidward' twice!\\
'''[=SpongeBob=] (remaining somewhat seductive):''' I ''like'' Squidward.
** This was actually a reference to the 1974 satirical Western film ''Blazing Saddles'' in which the dialogue goes
-–> '''Applicant''': Qualifications?\\
'''Hedley Lamarr''': Rape, murder, arson, and rape?\\
'''Applicant''': You said rape twice.\\
'''Hedley Lamarr''': I like rape.\\
* In "The Two Faces of Squidward," Squidward gets hit on to the point where it becomes stalking and harrassment because he's handsome. Mr. Krabs attempts to objectify him for profit.
-->'''Mr. Krabs''': Don't worry folks, there's plenty of Squidward to go around! For a small fee of $14.98 per person, everyone will get the opportunity to touch Squidward!

[[folder: Season 6 ]]

* In "Suction Cup Symphony" [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick keep making noises are playing doctor, and [=SpongeBob=] looks like he is about to reach under Patrick's hospital gown. The camera cuts away as we hear Patrick give a happy scream and a squeaky noise. It's revealed later in the episode that they were actually playing with an unseen rubber duck.
* In "The Slumber Party," Pearl says that her friends have "zombie shock syndrome." The only disease with a similar name is toxic shock syndrome, which can be caused by leaving a tampon in for too long.
* During a scene in "Slide Whistle Stooges," Squidward is called a "''baby assaulter''." Then if you listen closely, one of the background characters shouts to him "'''[[CrossesTheLineTwice Go assault your own baby!]]'''"
* In "Overbooked," when [=SpongeBob=] trying to get Patrick a birthday cake, the cake he got originally said "Sorry about the scabies" written on it in frosting.
* In "Sand Castles in the Sand," Patrick yells at one point "[[LargeHam FEEL ME!]]"
* In "Truth Or Square," Mr. Krabs has cameras in [=SpongeBob=]', Patrick', Squidward', and Sandy's bathrooms!

[[folder: Season 7 ]]

* In "Stuck in the Wringer," [=SpongeBob=] [[PrisonRape drops his bar of soap]] and screams as it slowly falls to the floor.
* In "Model Sponge," [=SpongeBob=] passes an audition, though what it's for is unclear. When he gets on set, the first thing the director tells him is to "lose the pants."
* How they got Plankton's [[DrivenToSuicide attempted suicide]] in "One Coarse Meal" past standards we'll never know.
-->'''Plankton:''' Can't you see I'm trying to get run over!
* "The Cent of Money" has a scene where Mr. Krabs is using Gary to find loose change on the beach. At one point, he ends up having Gary pull out change from a woman's bikini, which causes her to glare at Krabs and Krabs to chuckle nervously before bolting off.
* This double-barreled bit from "The Curse of the Hex":
-->'''Mr. Krabs:''' ''(to [=SpongeBob=])'' You gotta get up PRETTY early to sneak a pair 'o buns like that by Mr. Krabs!\\
'''Squidward:''' [[DeadpanSnarker Or at least before he takes off his sleep mask.]]\\
'''Mr Krabs:''' [[FridgeHorror ...how did you know I wore a sleep mask?]]
* "Krusty Dogs" has this less-than-subtle exchange...
-->'''[=SpongeBob=]:''' Well, that didn't work at all...\\
'''Squidward:''' It only seemed to INCREASE their [[DoubleEntendre appetite for wieners!]]\\
'''[=SpongeBob=]:''' We need stronger tactics!\\
'''Squidward:''' Right. Something that would make Mr. Krabs' whole wiener thing [[DoubleEntendre blow right up in his face!]]\\
'''[=SpongeBob=]:''' Yeeaah... blow up...

[[folder: Season 8 ]]

* In "The Hot Shot," three boating school students, two male and one female, ask Tony Fast, Jr. to sign their stuff. The first male fish asks Tony, Jr. to sign his lunchbox and the second one asks him to sign his steering wheel, but the female boating school student is cut off before she explains what she wants Tony, Jr. to sign and isn't shown holding anything, which infers that she wants him to sign her breasts.
* In "Squidward's School for Grown Ups," [=SpongeBob=], while preparing for an opera, pulls out a note with a familiar intro, which he proceeds to read to the audience:
-->'''[=SpongeBob=]:''' There once was a man from Nantucket...\\
'''Crowd:''' *gasps*
* In "Mermaid Man Begins", Mermaid Man dials a payphone and asks "What are you wearing?"
* In "Bubble Buddy Returns", [=SpongeBob=] describes Bubble Buddy's son Shiny as being full of soap and vinegar, which is a play on the phrase "full of piss and vinegar."
* In "Are You Happy Now?", [=SpongeBob=] tries to make Squidward happy by doing various activities to no avail. Eventually Squidward goes into a depression and refuses to leave his house. At one point, he throws a rope up into the air hanging it while muttering that perhaps "this would make him happy" [[DrivenToSuicide as if to signify... Oh No!]] [[spoiler: Turns out he was just hanging up a cage with a pet scallop inside.]]
** Right before he sticks his head in the oven... [[spoiler:and pulls out some brownies.]]
* Karen 2 from the episode "Karen 2.0" has a [[HartmanHips noticeably shapelier body]] than the original Karen, which is even commented on when Plankton describes Karen 2 as having "[[FanservicePack a sleek space-age design]]" while his new computer wife poses provocatively. At the end of the episode, when Plankton uses Karen 2's battery to restore power to the original Karen, [[AssShove the battery is located in Karen 2's rear]].
* In "Squiditis", [=SpongeBob=] telling Mr. Krabs that he was howling for pleasure makes it sound like he was having sex.
* In "Demolition Doofus," Mrs. Puff will do anything to get [=SpongeBob=] ''killed'', because he mutilated her. They weren't being sneaky about it, either. At one point, she angrily shouts "Why are you still alive!?".
* In "For Here or to Go", Mr. Krabs was trying to flush buns down a toilet in one scene. A customer walks into the bathroom and hears Mr. Krabs struggling to force down the buns, with the customer's face implying he had [[ADateWithRosiePalms another idea of what Mr. Krabs was doing]].
* In "The Good Krabby Name," [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick leave a bathroom stall in the Krusty Krab and approach a customer fixing to use the bathroom. What [=SpongeBob=] says takes the cake:
-->'''[=SpongeBob=]''': We left a present in there for you!
** Also, the way Mr. Krabs getting the mailman ready to eat a Krabby Patty...it looks like he was getting him ready for a date...or maybe even ready to kiss him.
* In "Hello Bikini Bottom," a female fish seen playing a loaf of bread like an accordion. During this, she appears to be topless.

[[folder: Season 9 ]]

* In "Little Yellow Book", [=SpongeBob=] says "I need a break" and goes outside and starts blowing bubbles. The way he does this is ''very'' similar to smoking.
** Earlier in the episode, [=SpongeBob=] throws out a ketchup packet. Patrick (who is in the dumpster) says that it'll "go great with this old diaper" and takes out a used diaper. '''''[[FridgeLogic This implies that]] [[{{Squick}} Patrick literally ate shit]]!'''''
* A very nice one in Married to Money. Mr. Krabs falls in love with Cashina, who is a wad of money with a face. He later plans to marry her, putting Spongebob in charge of the wedding. He gives Spongebob one dollar for the budget.
-->'''Spongebob:''' Mr. Krabs, I am gonna stretch this dollar 'til it begs for mercy! ...No disrespect to your new bride.
* At the end of "Sanctuary", Bob Barnacle, a stand-in for Bob Barker who is even voiced by him, tells [=SpongeBob=] to remember to spay and neuter his pets.
* When [=SpongeBob=] first walks through the Krusty Krab with his new long pants in "[=SpongeBob=] [=LongPants=]," a child points at him and asks his mother if he is his father. The mother replies by giving a lustful look at [=SpongeBob=] and saying "I wish."
* In "Larry's Gym," Mr. Krabs keeps rubbing a towel between his legs, leading to this suggestive dialogue:
-->'''Larry:''' Do you have to do that in front of me?
-->'''Mr. Krabs:''' Yes.
* In a similar example to "The Hot Shot," back in Season 8, "Goodbye, Krabby Patty?" has a scene where the now famous Patrick is handing out autographs, including to a woman who isn't holding any paper. The kicker? We actually see him signing her chest.
* In "Mutiny on the Krusty," Mr. Krabs' dime sheds blood when [=SpongeBob=] saws it in half.
* In the episode "The Sewers of Bikini Bottom", Spongebob and Squidward explore the sewers. On the way, Spongebob starts singing his song, "Sewer Sewer Cha Cha Cha". This is a reference to the "Diarrhea Cha Cha Cha" song from ''WesternAnimation/BeavisAndButtHead''.
* The episode "Patrick! The Game" ends with Squidward implied to have been raped by a burly prisoner.

[[folder: Season 10 ]]

* In "Mermaid Pants", Patrick has a grappling hook shoved up his butt.
* In "Burst Your Bubble," Spongebob is sadly walking along, when he passes by Mr. Krabs at his own boat... washing it with his behind in a risque manner. You have to wonder if the censors were asleep that day.
* In "The Getaway", Mrs. Puff has a romantic fling with a getaway driver, by the name of Dorsal Dan. While they're in a car together, he tickles her foot, which greatly arouses her. It gets more inappropriate when you realize feet are among the most common sexual fetishes.
* In "Out of the Picture", the art expert mimes hanging himself when explaining that Squidward's paintings would be worth more if he was dead, which is pretty dark for a kid's cartoon.
* "Feral Friends" has several of the show's main characters reverted to the forms of non-sapient sealife and being left nude after they finally return to normal. Given that most of the characters have been shown naked before, this wouldn't bear any mention if the episode didn't also feature Mrs. Puff and Pearl as the first female characters shown in the nude.
* "Code Yellow" has [=SpongeBob=]'s performing surgery on Squidward get pretty graphic at times. We see Squidward's heart fly up into the air at one point, some BlackComedy when [=SpongeBob=] chops Squidward into sushi, and accidentally chopping off his head off-screen. A milder example is when [=SpongeBob=] asks other doctors to hand him a "medical sea chicken" - "chicken" being a slang term for marijuana.
* In "Patrick's Coupon", Patrick tells the Ice Cream King "[[GroinAttack You'll wish your cone was a]] ''[[GroinAttack cup]]'' when I whip you into cream!" before they fight.

[[folder: Season 11 ]]

* "Cave Dwelling Sponge" has a Ketchup-Container Facepaint gag - perhaps the most blatant reference to blood on the show to date.
* In "The Check-Up", Squidward puts a vial near his crotch and fills it with ink like a urine test. He even asks the nurse for privacy right before he fills it.
* In "Teacher's Pests", Plankton insults Krabs by telling him to "[[https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=get%20bent get bent]]". How in the high hell did they get away with '''''that?!'''''
* The entire episode of "Old Man Patrick" is full of BlackComedy involving death. Patrick is seen sitting next to an old fish whose heart monitor goes out. He then covers her head up with a blanket and she pops up and says that she was just kidding. Later, Patrick and a random fish dance with each other, get a seizure from the strobe lights, and die. Spongebob sees this and revives them by giving them an electric shock. After that, Patrick walks into a coffin and shuts it. The other fish come to pay their respect.
* In "Grandmum's The Word," when Plankton's grandmother is getting away with the formula and Plankton is barely holding on to it, she kicks Plankton, causing him to fall. He lands on a ketchup packet, causing ketchup to splatter everywhere, making it look like he violently splattered on the ground.
* In "Bottle Burglars", as Spongebob and Squidward try to find out who stole the Krabby Patty Formula by looking through camera footage, one of the cameras were filming inside the Krusty Krab restroom. They find Bubble Bass using the toilet. As they zoom out, they find that he took his pants off, much to their disgusted reaction.
