The video starts off mostly innocuously (if vaguely melancholy) with a few silly gags as Steve gets ready for Joe to arrive at his house. Soon Joe arrives and knocks on the front door and dramatic music builds up as Steve answers it. Suddenly, Joe turns into a giant version of his own head and sucks Steve and all of the other occupants of Steve's house into himself like a black hole, making an [[HellIsThatNoise extremely loud screeching/whooshing sound]] all the way, before the door ''slams'' back shut. The video ends with the rooms around the [[NothingIsScarier now silent, empty house]] as ''[[Music/TheWall Outside the Wall]]'' by Music/PinkFloyd plays. What the ending was supposed to mean or represent is anyone's guess, but in any case it's a [[MindScrew very bizarre]] and [[MoodWhiplash very jarring end]] to a YTP that had, up to that point, been mostly innocent and goofy.
* [=TimoteiLSD's=] "[[https://youtu.be/rtvWAM140xI I.M. Schizophrenic]]" delivers one heck of a JumpScare at 0:59-1:10. I.M. Meen does his "mirror, mirror, on the wall" rhyme, which starts out quiet and has a pause before the last line. The last line is edited to make it much louder, with [[VoiceOfTheLegion a much deeper voice speaking along with Meen]]. Meen is normally a very silly villain, but this edit makes him a lot scarier.
* Bosh's videos toe the line between SurrealHumor and SurrealHorror on a regular basis, but [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idn2UdOu5bE the fifth]] "[[WesternAnimation/ToyStory1 BAH]]" video takes a flying leap right into Nightmare Fuel territory: It's the usual "[[Memes/ToyStory BUZZ LOOK AN ALIEN]]" scene, but this time when Buzz asks Woody if he's mocking him, Woody emits [[HellIsThatNoise a drawn out and distorted version of his usual laugh]], starts pulling one heck of a NightmareFace as reality around him seems to fall apart, and then appears to send a screaming Buzz tumbling into ''Hell'', ending on a shot of Woody's [[RedEyesTakeWarning glowing red eyes]] staring at [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou the viewer.]]

* Rinse Cycle 2 is rather infamous for his nightmarish [=YTPs=], but perhaps his most infamously terrifying of all is "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmLH_-nxjag Caillou's Public Execution]]". [[PreviouslyOn Ignoring the recap of the prior episode's events, which sets the tone of this video quite well with its jarring scariness]], most of the YTP, from the start until about four minutes in, is relatively standard fare for the genre of [=YouTube=] Poop. Despite this, it does have [[{{Foreshadowing}} a few creepy moments leading up to the ending]], such as when [[ExorcistHead the family is looking both ways before crossing the street]]. Then comes the ending, and '''good Lord is it horrifying.''' After failing an eye exam, he's given a pair of glasses to wear by the optometrist, which he puts on after returning home. Then à la ''Film/TheyLive'', Caillou can suddenly [[TheUnmasquedWorld see through the lenses]] that his parents are [[HumanoidAbomination skeletal-faced abominations]], causing him to make a NightmareFace as his eyes and mouth turn hyper-realistic, yet cartoonishly distorted at the same time. He immediately starts [[SensoryAbuse shrieking at the top of his lungs in sheer horror]] and whips a gun out of HammerSpace to start shooting at them and his little sister Rosie, the latter of whom's body splits apart to reveal her true form as an EldritchAbomination as he runs out of the room in a panic, still screaming. He starts running for the stairs, hoping he can escape from them by getting to the top floor, only for the walls to violently crack apart as the roof is torn off by a colossal Caillou-like being whose entire face is replaced by a LampreyMouth, and is surrounded by other colossal Caillous, all of which lack facial features entirely. The being then sucks Caillou up as he screams in vain, his parents watching with anticipation as he's consumed by the monster. Unsurprisingly, [[MemeticMutation the ending has become something of a meme due to its uniquely horrific style]].
** Oh and as of this writing, there’s two sequels that don’t skimp out the the horror. [[https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xpHGaTPNa0w Calliou's Excommunication]] picks up where “Calliou’s Public Execution” left off and shows the demonic Caillou appearing to killing him before it decides to graphically kill both his sister and his mother. [[https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OPSN8WI0KCE Calliou's Favorite Ritual]] meanwhile starts with his father managing to survive the creature so [[HopeSpot happy ending right?]] Turns out no, as the video ends with Caillou’s father being killed [[ItMakesSenseInContext by his eye doctor and his grandpa is banished to another dimension]] [[DownerEnding just as the ritual is taking place while the same lady who killed Caillou’s father watches with glee.]]
** Cycle’s other infamous series, “Marx and Rhubarb” follows Rhubarb who seems to have taken the task of raising Marx after killing their parents, and while [[PlayedForLaughs most of it is humorous,]] the endings are what swan dive this into pure horror. [[https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=66wuTev2Jqs Marx and Rhubarb Aren’t Supervised]] ends with Rhubarb killing Louise while [[https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rXlY38PGytk Marx and Rhubarb Aren’t Detained]] ends with Rhubarb killing her grandmother [[HeKnowsTooMuch after she sees the maggot filled body of Louise.]] [[EveryoneHasStandards Marx’s look of horror when Rhubarb announces this]] [[FauxAffablyEvil and how cheerful Rhubarb sounds when she does this don’t help at all.]]
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1EV-Z4OpuY Marx and Rhubarb Aren't Possible]] gets creepy a bit more early on. Rhubarb is confronted by the FBI and subsequently arrested for her crimes, only to make a simultaneously horrifying and awesome escape that primarily involves her mutilating and electrocuting the guards. Then for the ending, Marx (having recovered from [[MakesSenseInContext flying into the sun via kite]]) has a nightmare/flashback with him confronting Rhubarb for her crimes, only for her to bring up that [[MindScrew their parents died 30 years ago while Marx is only three]]. Once he wakes up in horror, he sees [[{{Cliffhanger}} Rhubarb standing right in front of him]].
* [=NationOfOranges696=]'s "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m22SBQrI-Z4 The Villagers top the Nielson TV Ratings]]"[[note]] Formerly titled "The Villagers Declare War on Notch", before the maker found that title to be in poor taste.[[/note]] isn't a scary YTP overall, but there is a disturbingly out of place scene where the Villager's commercial advertises a noose, which is then followed by a slow zoom into a noose with no one there, with creepy, tension building music to accompany it. Making things even scarier is that instead of the regular static transition from the original video, the transition after this has louder static and an image of [[VideoGame/{{Imscared}} White Face]], bordering on a JumpScare.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nd4nY6BieY ytp pedofiles]] by SPIGOTTAN starts off like an ordinary WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy youtube poop, but it quickly devolves into a surreal, noisy mess that then turns downright disturbing when it features a real clip of a machete-wielding man breaking through an apartment door, only to be gunned down by the apartment owner in self-defense. The man's agonized screams and the apartment owner's desperate cries are then remixed and played loudly through the rest of the YTP, until it abruptly ends.
