Since {{Vocaloid}} is pretty much a blank slate for whatever the composer decides to make, many of them can turn out differently than the next. These composers and songs just... decided to try and scare you. Fortunately for them [[note]]and unfortunately for us[[/note]], these songs ''did''.

[[folder:Kikuo]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdOtYgQQjjY Breaking Things Into Pieces]] gets the point across what type of producer this person is. Do we start with the fact that if the vocals are taken out, it sounds like a [[SoundtrackDissonance rousing march]]? Even though the imagery is very [[Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion Neon Genesis Evangelion-esque]]. The lyrics, you ask? It talks about a girl who can't stop breaking things. The chorus tells us that the girl can also rebuild the objects she destroyed in order to break them even more ''"to the point [where] you forget its original shape"''. Then comes the explanation. She destroys precious objects because the more memories an object goes through, the more it become attached to a person's soul. ''She's equating property damage with homicide''. And the kicker is that [[spoiler: there is a person that loves her. Her last act is to destroy every object they possess, before killing herself as her lover is now part of her]]. Throw in NightmareFace and [[BodyHorror shattered like glass bodies]] and the HolyShitQuotient gets to be pretty high.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RRvs_sDkRw "Don't Look At Me In That Way"]] is more [[TearJerker gut-wrenching]] than scary, but some lines (and imagery) may suggest that the narrator wasn't aborted or miscarried as is commonly theorized, but [[spoiler:killed during wartime, [[AdultFear while he was out riding his bike and possibly without realizing anything was wrong with the town being empty.]]]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VV6J1GZTX6k "Chirichirijuso"]] is fairly unsettling, and not simply because the PV is vaguely reminiscent of [[YumeNikki Yume Nikki]]'s more colourful areas.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCtazW6CEBA Dance of the Dead]] is a cheerful, happy song about dancing corpses. And you should join in!
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6elFMyYYiWA "I'm Sorry, I'm Sorry".]] [[spoiler:Horrific sexual abuse or cannibalism]]; take your pick.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ce8H_aFkUzU A Happy Death]] seems to be about [[spoiler: two kids killing each other to be 'happy' in the afterlife.]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HinT8DXYdDk You're a Useless Child]] - the most horrifying thing about this song is that there are no supernatural elements. The monstrous behavior is wholly human.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4dEf5Jwe-w "We Should Not Do Bad Things"]] Take a seemingly happy sounding song and add lyrics about bad children being "taken away", and it becomes horrifying.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Machigerita-P]] ...You know, let's just say most of the songs by Machigerita-P (except for a couple of surprisingly cute songs he created for Miku) are made to scare you. And horribly scare you they do.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AU6PL0LH4_Y Dark Woods Circus]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGMO1ko5EuM Wide Knowledge of the Late, Madness]]. The fan artists are of no help. At the very end of "Dark Woods Circus" [[spoiler: she's become part of the circus. And then she [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou hands you a flyer]]]]...
** The scariest part of Dark Woods Circus is a bit of FridgeHorror in the last 30 seconds of the PV. [[spoiler: You see pictures of the children who came to the circus, and then the next picture is of one of the... Exhibits. But the thing is, they're the ''same people.'']] And right before that part, [[ParanoiaFuel the protagonist looks up to see a shadow looming over her...]]
** The other song, Wide Knowledge of the Late, Madness? [[spoiler:This is how the children became the attractions of the circus. Going though both videos the children were kidnapped while they're in the circus, somehow put into an insane asylum, get deformed, and then be put as attractions of that circus.]] The PV clearly shows [[spoiler:Meiko running the asylum and butchering its patients to sew together and make the attractions. This makes it even more scary as the protagonist of Dark Woods Circus looks like a young version of Meiko.]]
** [[BigBad The Chairman]] running the circus, an EldritchAbomination LivingShadow, with "large round eyes" and being "almost ten meters tall". It's implied that ''he'' is the one who [[MoralEventHorizon really did all of this to those poor children.]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGThHuZ3lBQ Rotten Girl, Grotesque Romance]]. It's basically about a very jealous stalker girl, [[spoiler:who spies on the object of her affections. When she realizes that person is seeing another girl, she goes insane and plans to kill the girl and send her dismembered in a box to the person. And possibly kidnapps and murders them.]] That, coupled with the audio, piano, and random screeches in the music, makes all the more horrifying. It gets scarier when you listen to the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfEFQRgmakk Rockleetist]] version, where you can actually understand it. Oh, and don't forget the picture of Miku in the video. [[spoiler:And the sound of her cutting off a kitten's head to give to her boyfriend.]] And as if it couldn't get any creepier...someone has managed to sing an English dub of it...and it happens to be rather awesome yet terrifyingly disturbing at the same time: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfEFQRgmakk Click and behold]]. And [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEglNzlLQgM here's]] a lovely PV.
** If you think about it, they probably weren't ever together to begin with...
** The PV has the stalked boy keep the [[spoiler: corpse of the murdered girl]] in his apartment for days. He even brushes its hair.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bFGDgnF5GY Red Swamp Bottom]] is a sequel to "Dark Woods Circus", and is much, much scarier. It's about Miku in ''hell'', for god's sake! Special mention has to go to the tortured screams in the beginning and this particular set of lyrics:
-->[[spoiler:It hurts, my skin is burning]]
-->[[spoiler:My intestines are being dragged]]
-->[[spoiler:Now look, rotten fruit in my melting eyes]]
-->[[spoiler:Leave no trace of themselves]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFJbK3PX7YI Hateful Wonderland.]] The artist is the same from "Rotten Girl, Grotesque Romance," so [[UncannyValley the imagery is quite unnerving...]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8L-hgyEDVlQ The Full Course For Candy Addicts.]] "I love you so much I could eat you." [[spoiler: The song is about her describing [[ImAHumanitarian what her lover tastes like.]]]]
* Once again by Machigerita, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8PCVVkmMwQ Human Destruction Machine]]. The scary thing? The translated lyrics are most likely about prostitution and abortion. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiBJwpZ1bj8 Now available with proper subtitles]].
* Machigerita-P's done it AGAIN, using either Miku Append Light or Miku Append Vivid, in "Shukujo Berry no Tsukurikata", also known as "How to Make A She-trawberry". And it's most likely some kind of unholy cross between horror and [[spoiler: porn]] from the lyrics. It's either about well... [[spoiler:rape]], or about someone eating a strawberry cake. Probably the former, knowing [[NightmareFuelStationAttendant Machige]].
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_5U92QnlOQ Here's the link, if you absolutely must have it.]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GhblsPkuoQ Sweet Poison Factory]] by Machigerita-P. Your Mileage May Vary, but if the lyrics don't scare you, the images are enough to [[HeroicBlueScreenOfDeath overstimulate]] your senses... (Don't watch if you have epilepsy or if flashing lights give you migraines.)
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlK1SHlwqyY Okaasan]] is the undeniable master of all HONF for Vocaloid, hands-down. Lyrics are in the comments.
** Now available with [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzIgTQ_kRMI subtitles.]]
** Then there's the remake, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqileYfhbes Okaasan Rebirth]]. [[NightmareFuel If you thought the original was disturbing...]] This version is also notable for containing a [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0XgxzR_9Js backmasked message]] hidden in it at some point, though it hasn't been subbed or translated anywhere yet. However, online translators all seem to translate the final line of it the same way: [[spoiler: [[ParanoiaFuel "I'm right behind you now."]]]]
* Gyakuzai Koushinkyoku. The lyrics are very confusing, but fans have theorized out that Kaito and Miku were in a relationship, but then he dumps her(saying that 'if a toy gets old, just throw it away') for Meiko. That's not the NightmareFuel. The NightmareFuel is that [[spoiler:Kaito then murders her [[ForTheEvulz for no real reason]] and manipulates Meiko into ignoring it. [[FridgeHorror The ending implies that he's going to do the same to Meiko if he sees someone prettier.]]]] And that's not even getting into the really creepy PsychoticSmirk in the PV.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:mothy/Akuno-P]]
Music/{{Mothy}} (master of the heavenly yard) had gotten a reputation from the Franchise/EvilliousChronicles; it has its own [[http://theevilliouschronicles.wikia.com/wiki/The_Evillious_Chronicles_Wiki "wiki"]], and most of his songs end with someone being murdered or worse...

Has its own page [[{{NightmareFuel/EvilliousChronicles}} here]].

* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJny2S00dOA "Moonlit Bear"]] starts off with a woman finding these magical fruits in a forest, taking them with the goal of making her husband happy and encountering an evil bear who wants the fruit back. Sounds like a nice adventure story, right? FridgeHorror gets applied at the near end of the song when its revealed that [[spoiler: the fruit are really babies and the bear is the distraught mother]]. Made even worse when its revealed that [[spoiler: she MURDERED THE MOTHER TO STEAL HER CHILDREN]]. Fits into {{Adult Fear}} too.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqVca_2WkkI Conchita, the Epicurean Daughter of Evil]] starts off innocently enough with the titular character (played by Meiko) portrayed as a BigEater who specializes in [[MasochistsMeal unusual delicacies]]. Then she eats [[spoiler:[[ImAHumanitarian Kaito]]]]. And [[spoiler:the other servants]]. Until ultimately, still not satisfied enough, she [[spoiler:'''eats herself.''']]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8L75guzMn4 The Tailor Shop on Enbizaka]] sung by Luka Megurine. The song itself is about the titular tailor being sad as she sees her lover with various girls, mentioning [[{{Yandere}} crimes happening around the neighborhood]]. Finally, when a man is killed, she notes that the four people killed were a family. PoorCommunicationKills doesn't even ''begin'' to cover it. [[spoiler:Her "lover" has no idea who she is.]]

--Other mothy's songs--

* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ivVN41ZDvs Wendy]] By [[NightmareFuelStationAttendant Mothy]] well....we can already tell it won't be happy despite the cheery tune. [[spoiler: With a girl trying to follow Peter Pan by jumping out of a window and dying,]] how could it be?
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0ceA2XZqDA Flames of Yellow Phosphorous]] is a delightful retelling of The Little Match Girl where [[spoiler: she burns down her father's house and is consequently burned at the stake for her crime.]]

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Others]]
* Though it isn't truly Vocaloid-based, the artist watashinokoko creates noise songs using the program LaLaVoice, a technical predecessor to Vocaloid. Many of these songs are incredibly nightmarish. Examples include:
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4HZese8wXg Like You]]. The song starts out very quiet, but then the noise kicks in. And the content of the song and video itself does nothing to take the edge off; the song starts off normally enough (for a noise song,) a flickering image of a girl in the background, and then words appear on the screen, requests (ranging from "fuck me" to "listen [to] me.") [[spoiler: And then it changes to "Kill me." Repeated over and over and over again, as the image of the girl in the background flips upside-down and starts to change, her eyes darkening until they're entirely blacked out.]]
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gq00N-VKuno Complex.]] A dark, mysterious, and discordant song with surreal imagery presented in black, red, and white.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2RFcrreoE8 Circle You, Circle You]]. If you don't feel like watching the PV, [[http://i26.tinypic.com/x0whf4.png this image]] pretty much sums it up. Children dismembering each other for all of eternity.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbHZ6uWeR3U Rockleetist's dub]] makes it even scarier, especially the last verse:
-->Circle you, circle you
-->[[YouWillNotEvadeMe You can't run so stay a while]]
-->Circle you, circle you
-->[[LovesTheSoundOfScreaming They won't hear your screams for miles]]
-->[[CreepyChild Let's play till the morning light]]
-->[[ParanoiaFuel Play until they come and get us]]
-->Circle you, circle you
-->[[ObliviouslyEvil We'll have fun tonight!]]
** That's not the scariest, the ending of the video is. It shows what looks like a motionless drawing of Miku holding a bloody knife and sporting a [[DullEyesOfUnhappiness blank look]] on her face. [[TemptingFate Doesn't look so scary]], [[FalseReassurance right?]] [[spoiler: After approximately 3 seconds, Miku then bears a [[SlasherSmile crazed expression]] then swings her knife [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou AT YOUR DIRECTION]], then the screen fades to black and the video ends... [[JumpScare HOLY SHIT !]] ]]
** Listening to the song with headphones is really creepy too; Miku's voice comes out of one side and Luka's comes out of another. When they sing together, [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou it actually sounds as though you're being surrounded]].
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRd7gOfIS-0 Machine Muzik]]. Seriously. There's a reason it's the page image. Just see for yourself.
** Then watch the sequel, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6M2ppKwuZY Nehanshika]]. One attempted translation made a couple of lines potentially worse ("We can account for e-e-e-errors";"Now that you're dead you sing Nehanshika-hanshika").
** The creator, Deino (on Youtube known as Deino3330), was also behind ''[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flAGH_f7ZOQ this]]'' little nightmare. The song itself isn't Vocaloid, although the video does involve [[NightmareFuelStationAttendant Calcium]]. [[spoiler:Character's named Ca Calne, with "Ca" pronounced as separate letters, and is shown in the picture above.]]
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yNB5OSqAR0 BitCrushe]] isn't as bad as the above videos, but it's still extremely eerie.
* [[http://video.niconico.com/watch/sm16866804 "Bacterial Contamination"]] (or Saikin Osen). The song is about an unpopular girl being mocked and bullied by others, in turn becoming a bully herself in an attempt to make herself feel better, and then [[spoiler:committing suicide to try and get away from the "infection." In the end, she states that, even though she could die to get away from the suffering, she still couldn't even die with dignity because of the things she'd done. And the singer herself is the aforementioned Ca Calne.]]
** the english dubbed version ( yes, it has been done ) is arguably even [[FromBadToWorse worse]] . Especially the ending, [[spoiler: where you hear the singer laughing quietly. She then says " sayonara " then devolves into [[LaughingMad insane laughter. ]] ]] watch it [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4trV0Z6IzQ here, ]] if you dare....
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0uU2PZVfM8 KAITO ga UNINSTALL]]: Kaito goes {{Yandere}} and kills the other Vocaloids so he can be his master's center of attention and affection.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVFfeTIWWco Fear Garden]], in which Rin sings about cutting the other Vocaloids' arms off and planting them like flowers in her garden.
* With a title like [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEeb9rOKn3Y Hold, Release; The Rakshasa and the Corpse]], what else can you expect? Miku in this video is the [[spoiler:still-tormented ghost of a girl from an abusive family. She wants to be 'strong' and forget all the horrible things in her life (her abusive parents, their divorce, being sold into sexual slavery) so the Rakshasa teach her how to crush her memories, and thus her former self.]]
** Even worse, [[WordofGod according to Hachi]] the song is about the horrible innocence of children. That's right, [[AmbiguousInnocence children are reciting this song for fun.]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDuFb5koFaQ The Purple Forest]] sung by Miku and Kaito. The creepiest thing about this song is that there is no ominous notes, it sounds sweet and pretty and lovely the whole way. The only way you know it is creepy is if you watch the video, and after that, the simple fact of such a pleasant sounding song with an ominous backstory is chilling. The story is about a forest that no one likes to enter. A traveler (Kaito) wanders in and meets a pretty young girl (Miku). [[spoiler:She turns out to be a dryad who lures people to her, and absorbs them into her tree for sustenance. She does this to Kaito while he sleeps, while the whole time Kaito believes he's being taken to a paradise. And then at the very end of the vid, [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou Miku looks right at you with the beginnings of a]] SlasherSmile.]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMpx1pUQiKY We Were Friends Until Yesterday]] by Miku is a deceptively cute song about a girl that becomes friends with a weird sunfish...thing. Takes a turn for the worse when their food runs low and her "friend" starts to look more like food...
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ur0LzTZmtQg "A 13-Year-Old Killer,"]] by Kagamine Rin. The subject matter is upsetting enough, but the dark, creepy sound of the song and the male narrator that you can barely make out over the music barely helps. And the final spoken line of the song is chilling, once you put it all together...
* Even Yuki isn't exempt from horror songs. This artist has apparently done a series of Vocaloid noise songs. Including more by Yuki. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Q6OjjjSBwc absence]] seems to most resemble a traditional song, but it's still incredibly oppressive and hopeless-sounding. The translation of the lyrics doesn't help. [[spoiler:"That child isn't anywhere... that child isn't anywhere... that child isn't anywhere... that child isn't anywhere..."]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxTTOaszH6c Prisoner]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfPKTzq0LRM Paper Airplane]] ride on [[AdultFear the anxiety caused by being permanently separated from a loved one]]. Except in this case, one part of the couple (Rin) is [[spoiler:a terminally IllGirl]], and the other part of the couple (Len) is in a prison--no, a '''concentration camp.''' One with backdrops derived from '''Auschwitz.''' We first, in "Prisoner", witness Len [[spoiler:being put to death in a gas chamber.]] Then in "Paper Airplane", we see Rin [[spoiler:being put on gradually more life support, until she ultimately passes away.]]
* 'Wakako and Ruriko's Breaking of Toy Blocks'. It can be found [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlCOFC9-hNE here]]. The entire video [[spoiler: is a rainy night scene with two people, one of which looks a bit taller. And then at the end you see the knife in the little girl's hand is 'DRIPPING' with blood]].
** For those of you who want the [[http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/nm11245592 interactive link]]: God save you if [[spoiler: you choose to press the button after 'Sayonara'-]] THIS is why it's NightmareFuel, for the [[SchmuckBait skeptics]], if you will...
** For that matter, [=ChikuwaP's=] [[http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/nm14068363 sequel]], [[FunWithPalindromes ItaiAtashiAshitaAitai]] is also pretty creepy. Like above, what makes it NightmareFuel is [[spoiler: that special little bonus you get when you attempt to pause when the screen wipes out (0:23 and 2:52)]]
** And on the subject of Chad's [[BlatantLies fun]] little videos, If you decide to watch [[http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/nm18669841 Incoming/Outgoing]] , whatever you do, don't:
*** [[spoiler: pause for more than 30 seconds]]
*** [[spoiler: pause at 0:24]]
*** [[spoiler: pause between 2:01 and 2:02]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDrdzhLfWJk Trick and Treat]] is about Miku being lured into a house in the woods by [[CreepyTwins Rin and Len]], and being drugged with candy to make her fall asleep. She wakes up sooner than they anticipated and suddenly remembers where she knows the pair from. [[spoiler: They're her old dolls, which she abandoned after getting a new one.]] Once Rin and Len realize that she's awake, things get worse in a hurry. [[spoiler: The twins ''want Miku's heart''... and succeed in getting it.]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znir_s4Q9BA The Riddle Solver Who Can't Solve Riddles]] is more than a little disconcerting, as it starts out with Len interrogating his sister, who apparently has murdered all the guests... but by the end of the video it's fairly obvious [[spoiler: Len is the one who killed them all and he's about to do the same to her.]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHhN5FkL-uE Parasite]]. A hard, thrashing, dark metal song featuring distorted vocals and lyrics that are probably about mosquitoes that carry deadly disease... written from the point of view of the mosquitoes.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDzjL_682_U Now with an equally terrifying English dub!]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPtWGLRwYUI Twilight Homicide Song]]. Meiko can be [[{{Yandere}} pretty scary]] too. And [[WhiteMaskOfDoom that mask]].
* Engloids are not exempt from this. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJgOSacLvFg Big Al's Beat Beat Tick Tick]]. [[spoiler: There's a line implying that Al fell from very high up, and then the realization that the picture wasn't him covered in blood from a murder - It was his OWN. He's laying on the ground DYING, and the beating and ticking is his heart slowly stopping as he does.]]
-->Beat. Beat. Tick. Tick.
* From the same writer, we have [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4inb07HqpI8 Halloween Requiem]]. A group of teenagers try to summon dead spirits but it goes horribly wrong and a bunch of evil spirits emerge from their Ouija board. The spirits are extremely offended at the fact that nobody is afraid of them because of Halloween and promptly start attacking people to "strike fear back into their hearts (and it's implied that their first victims were a bunch of [[AdultFear trick-or-treaters]]). Leon is shown running from a demon and in a total panic. Miriam, a nun, believes that it's the apocalypse. Lola and her husband are suddenly attacked [[ParanoiaFuel in their own home]]. Big Al, a doctor, tells a wounded Leon that he can't help him because "the hospital is overflowing" and that he should probably stay there because "it's safer there" and "free space is growing" (implying that more people are dying than he and Sweet Anne can treat). Sonika is lying in an ambulance and implied to be dead at the end of her verse. At the climax, something happens that causes the monsters to leave, but their fear remains in the world's heart as it's revealed at the end that due to the incident nobody celebrates Halloween anymore; instead, they celebrate the day that October ''passes''. At the end, the Engloids give us some advice: "If you choose to laugh at evil make sure you think twice".
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPkA_Qb74l4 This.]] It's a 30 second video of Miku repeatedly stabbing... someone. The amount of blood around and the sound that the stabbing makes both imply that she's been at this for a while, and she doesn't seem to be interested in stopping. Upon watching the making-of, it's revealed that the person that she's stabbing is [[spoiler: Kaito.]]
** "Love is War" playing softly in the background does not help.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQuHKtJKeBA This.]] It's a Megurine Luka song, in English, based on the following Rugrats theory: "The Rugrats really were a figment of Angelica's Imagination. Chucky died a long time ago along with this mother, that's why Chaz is a nervous wreck all the time. Tommy was a stillborn, that's why Stu is constantly in the basement making toys for the son who never had a chance to live. The [=DeVilles=] had an abortion, Angelica couldn't figure whether it would be a boy or a girl thus creating the twins."
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHpuq3vqyzY SF-A2 Miki singing the Lavender Town theme, from Pokemon,]] a song frequently used or at least referenced in the horror stories of the Pokemon fandom.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYbqjG0rIqQ This.]] Whatever the hell this even is. A... song, if you can call it that, apparently titled "Jisatsu Shoujo", or "Suicide Girl", and "sung" by Hatsune Miku.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8OIkvyozQA "50/50,"]] a Miku song about [[spoiler: a girl who is jealous of her best friend Mari-chan's new boyfriend... so she cuts him in half so that they can share. "Mari-chan and I go halfsies on everything."]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZMEl49qmeE Now available with English subtitles.]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9CNK9nBzvs "Black Hole Artist,"]] by UtsuP, the creator of the above "Corpse Attack!!" [[SlasherSmile Rin's face.]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ku3DojpEXPM "In a Rainy Town, Balloons Dance With Devils,"]] by Hachi, features an eerie, surreal sound and lyrics, and the PV has been animated to match.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VifumhRovfU "Ward Room 305"]], its sequel, is about Miku going mad after such pregnancy. It includes the same [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou creepy]][[SlasherSmile animation]] style of the above song.
* Despite its [[SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic awesome tune]], [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONyfbDPc7y0 Kagerou (translation: Heat Haze) Days]] can be a bit scary to watch, especially the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBnAY4VH9T4 PV Version]]. The song is essentially about a {{Groundhog Day Loop}} wherein a boy is forced to watch his friend die in [[CruelAndUnusualDeath increasingly horrible ways]], no matter how much he tries to prevent it. [[spoiler: In order to break the loop once and for all, he goes back to the first death (the girl gets smashed by a speeding truck) and sacrifieces himself so the girl could live.]] And just when you think that all is said and done, [[spoiler: the ending of the song shows the girl seemingly ''[[HereWeGoAgain going through the same loop, only with the boy dying instead]]''.]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4H7jJLSKKs This song]] about HIM from ThePowerpuffGirls. The PV shows a silhouette that looks like Bubbles and her Octi doll is on the floor in front of her with HIM's sinister shadow radiating from it. HIM tells Bubbles "not to cry" and that he wants her to "smile". He then tells her to "give in to her fight" and "take the anger deep inside and bring it into light". at the end, his message gets more and more garbled and then he promises to Bubbles that he will give her anything she wants. He ''then'' tells her [[spoiler: [[TheCorruption that she's "his to control"]]...and to "prepare to attack"]].
* From the same creator of iNSaNiTY, here is [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5UEB-PbPZE You Are Mine]], a Yandere Luka song.
-->"I'll die...I'll die! just to get away from you!"
-->Aw, why? Don't die!
-->[[spoiler:You know I will still own you!]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yqv13hidYM Bad End Night]]. Even though the song is fairly up-beat and jazzy, it is actually quite sinister. [[spoiler: A girl (Miku) is lost with a letter to go to some mansion. She finds it and is greeted by the other Vocaloids. Later, she tries to go to sleep, only to find that no time goes by. She runs away, only to find graves. She finds that they are pretty much planning to kill her. In her fear, she pretty much kills them all. And then the final lines...]]
** The POVSequel, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wi2gJx6osI Crazy Night]] paints the house's residents as much more sympathetic, but is still quite sinister; [[spoiler: turns out, their clock stopped because Miku interrupted their play and tore out the page that led to the ending. It turns out that she ''had'' to kill them to get to the ending. After doing so, however, she finds that she doesn't like the ending. As the family goes on to the next cycle (as there appears to be a time loop going on) Miku runs after them, begging them to give her another chance. They tell her that there isn't enough time but she'll "have another chance tomorrow", implying that she is now ''[[AndIMustScream trapped in the same loop as them forever]]'' or at least until the chain is broken]].
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3rWdfciYJg Twilight Night]], the third installment is more [[MindScrew confusing]] and even darkly humorous than scary, but it still has its unsettling moments. For example, when the inhabitants find that the last page of their script is missing, [[CreepyTwins Rin and Len]] say this:
-->'''Rin and Len''': Not good? Not good! Ah haha'''[[LaughingMad HAHAHAHAHA!!!!]]'''
* ''[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZW-6U5bCyS4&bpctr=1394376109 Karakuri Burst]]'' is a loud and violent song with frightening imagery, [[NightmareFace Nightmare Faces]], ''lots'' of blood and [[LastNoteNightmare a high pitched scream (or a loud burst of static) at the very end.]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DD8zaoFNtQQ Abre los Ojos]] ("Open Your Eyes"), in which Miku plays the role of a girl who, after being rejected by the man she loves, [[spoiler: decides to make sure that his heart is hers ... literally]].
* The fan videos do them justice. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LcfBA8W_KA Alice Human Sacrifice]] , despite the awesome music, comes readily to mind. And it is far from a single occurence.
* The lyrics to [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWIjvPuY2jo This is the happiness and peace of mind committee, by Hatsune Miku.]] It's about Miku wondering why everyone in the world isn't happy. So, she seemingly brainwashes everyone into being happy by... singing. Her face is in the video is quite an unsettling {{slasher smile}} too.
** Here, here's [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovIQ9p43e3U Rin's]] cover of it. Good night, kids! Oh, and, how would you like to die?
*** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8pY4-uLXJs The English cover]] is somehow even worse...
* By the same person as above, we have Miku's [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1bRPDSSQYQ The Path to Eternal Happiness, I found it]]. It starts out pretty cute with a Bride!Miku who tells a story of newly-wed couple on a beach and the bride asking if the groom knows about 'a paradise to the south, the city of hopes where wishes come true'. She then says that she found a way to go there and disappears to [[spoiler:find immortality.]] Then we see another Miku who acts like a host and is most likely the ruler of the place. Bride!Miku then has to play 'The Original Sin Game', while she plays we see panels with words flashing by, but you have to pause them at the right time to actually be able to read them. Miku wins and we cut back to the beach and we learn see that the Groom always continued to wait for her at the beach, until his death. She apparently wrote him a letter, but it was never read. Then we go to the game show again and see that the host is surprised that Bride!Miku is there again. This time Bride!Miku has to play 'The Game of Guilt', which she wins again [[spoiler:and as a reward she becomes a zombie.]]
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mIgodj-ULk Cackle Cackle Cackle]] I'm surprised this hasn't been posted here. In someone's interpretation on the comments, I think this is about [[spoiler:loss of virginity. Hence the flower may be referring to 'de-flowering'. And Miku must have some kind of disease and 'transferred' it to the guy who might have cheated on her and Miku wants revenge]] But overall, it is an unnerving song.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Q4ZR_Bye_4 Calalini]], written about and from the POV of [[http://www.oprah.com/health/The-7-Year-Old-Schizophrenic "Jani"]]. Possibly qualifies as a TearJerker as well.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gyM7GA0q74 Carnival]] features Gumi singing about jealousy and hatred within an abandoned carnival. While surrounded by hanged stuffed animals. And apparently, engaging in cannibalism.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxyFwDQN08s Pumpkin March]]. Oliver [[spoiler: is torturing someone-at one point giving them a GlasgowGrin-]] while talking about how HumansAreTheRealMonsters.
* Masa is a relatively unknown producer, but those who encounter some of his music will be rattled. While the videos may be creepy, having the lyrics translated make it all the more unnerving. The worst case offender is "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLwYwWlFaVA The Spider and the Kitsune-like Lion]]", where Miku is tortured to death and Gumi is turned on by her pain. It's highly graphic and very not safe for work. This song was set to private on Masa's Youtube channel (ell182a) and removed from Nicovideo for good reason. The best part? It's part of a series.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqfFieDY14E The Fox's Wedding]], another Masa song (not to be confused with the one listed below by OSTER Project). The way the lyrics are sung feels like [[{{MadnessMantra}} Madness Mantra]]. [[{{SchmuckBait}} Turn on the captions.]]
-->[[spoiler: "[[{{ImAHumanitarian}} I want to eat you, want to eat you, I oh so want to eat you]]."]]
** And let's not even get into [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJ3QfjWUgSM this one]]. It's hard to say which is creepier: the nonsensical MadnessMantra, or [[ChurchgoingVillain the lyrics]].
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcWEJWzjdTo Tarantula]] features Oliver eating a live tarantula. And describing the sensation of eating it. In English. Yes.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFQ60zIVAgY Black and White Ward]] (also known as Monochrome Ward) is the story of science gone horribly wrong. It flies by so fast that you may not realize that [[spoiler: Rin has swapped clothes/appearance with Len at the end]]. It ends with [[spoiler: Rin dead]], [[spoiler: Rin's assertation that Len is still a nobody]], and the words [[spoiler: Congratulations "Rin"]].
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yld7v9zvPGI crushed Mary]] is... something else, that's for sure. There isn't much in the way of lyrics, so interpertations are sparse, but the "music", if you can call it that, is horrific and cacophonic. This is one you don't want to listen to with headphones in.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPjW_9KZo8M Hide and Seek]], sung by SeeU. It's about a spirit-possessed girl/doll trying to go after a boy. [[spoiler:In the end, the boy got caught and was [[GrandTheftMe possessed by the spirit]]. The PV ends with him [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou turning to the audience]] and giving a SlasherSmile]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cli6w_izx0o Love Disease]] featuring Luka. Starts off as a peppy swing song about going on a date, until we learn that [[spoiler:Luka was just daydreaming about the whole thing. Then she catches her love interest going out with another woman, which prompts her to MurderTheHypotenuse [[{{Yandere}} so she can have him all to herself]], and at the same time that eyes-out-of-frame shot that's remained still the whole time zooms out to reveal a SlasherSmile with AxCrazy eyes. She stalks him and tries repeatedly to get in contact with him (and it's implied he's trying to get away from her). "IfICantHaveYou" goes into full effect by the end of the song; it's implied she either kills him or [[RapeAsDrama rapes him]].]]
* Tympole (Otamaru)'s face in the ''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}'' Isshu Rap.
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WKEtK0RnwE Wonder Girl & Labyrinth Gate]] is the tale of Hansel and Gretel, and how they defeat the evil witch! Except that [[spoiler:Hansel is a doll, the candy house is run-down shed, and the wicked witch isn't a witch at all]]. BE AFRAID. (note: turn on CC to view english subs)
* [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJXjED8KXNc A Fox Wedding]](not to be confused with the equally terrifying The Fox's Wedding) starts out as a typical TearJerker song…[[spoiler:[[{{Yandere}} and]] [[NightmareFace then]]…]]
* From Steampianist and Morbid-Morsel comes [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UI5UeDiTdRg Twaddles of a Flue Faker]]. Sung by Oliver, it gives the POV of a young chimney-sweep from England. Combining a creepy black, white, and red PV with strange, spooky music, the flatness of Oliver's voice and lyrics that are a combination between TearJerker and NightmareFuel, the overall effect is highly unsettling.
* Another from the creator of Cackle Cackle Cackle, Babuchan, (Im surprised a lot of his songs aren't on here.) [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4f38Si4RyVk Mother of Pearl Bones (with subs)]] I mean, come on. With an unsettling PV, glitch parts in the vocals, and the unsettling lyrics, what's to come? Well, it's learned that [[spoiler: she dies in a fire, a theory states, and her "lover" is dead, too.]]
* Another great from Babuchan, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4niNPUL5CY Tears of an Artificial Eye (with subs)]] The song is apparently about [[spoiler: A doll coming to life and killing ITS OWNER.]]
* From JUSF Zhou Cun, a Luo Tianyi/Yan He song: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFpaJe0qV3E Puppet Master: Finest Creation]]. It sounds jazzy and all, but... the PV begins with a disclaimer of sorts: [[spoiler: Yandere, check. Representation of blood, check. Body parts cut to pieces, check.]] It's about [[spoiler: a man trying to create the perfect doll from human parts and constantly being unsatisfied and hacking it up again. Said 'doll' is implied to still be alive.]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhEx8rWKwl4 This alternate music video for Kaito's cover of Donut Hole]] starts out as a simple TearJerker [[spoiler: and then [[ImAHumanitarian the second verse happens]]. And ''then'' things get [[FromBadToWorse even worse.]] [[IfICantHaveYou Much worse.]]]]
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMGjklPnH3E Project Distortion]]", in which Maika, Mayu and Gumi perform a [[MadScientist rather ambiguous]] [[BodyHorror cirurgical procedure]] on Yohioloid, [[spoiler:ending with him lamenting the loss of [[WasOnceAMan humanity]].]]
