[[folder: [[Voice Of The Legion "Everyone in this city is gonna know how it feels to live in my world. A world without power. A world without mercy. A WORLD WITHOUT SPIDER-MAN!" ]]
]]]]

* Norman Osborn, dying from the genetic disease in his one scene. The scene is shot in shadows, but his skin is deathly green, and his nails have grown to be practically claws.
* Max's ImagineSpot against Allistair Smythe, showing just how unstable he is even before he became Electro:
-->'''Smythe:''' You designed [the power grids]? Sure you did. [[AndImTheQueenOfSheba And I'm Spider-Man.]]\\
'''Max:''' ''[[[BerserkButton grabbing Smythe by the collar]]]'' YOU'RE NO SPIDER-MAN! HE'S A LEO, YOU'RE A SAGITTARIUS! YOU BESMIRCH HIM AGAIN, I'MMA RIP YOUR WELL-GROOMED HEAD OFF!
** A deleted scene also shows him having a similar Imagine Spot to his own mother (granted she’s emotionally abusive, but still).
* From the score, we have "My Enemy" and "The Electro Suite". Their creepy whispery lyrics are scary as hell:
-->''Bones are shaking / Madness breaking / I can feel the darkness taking over / DENYING / THE RISING / THE CRYING / I'M DYING''
** The implication that the song's lyrics are what Electro hears in his head makes them more unsettling.
** It first appears as he obsesses over Spider-Man, signaling how he's not all quite right in the head even before he gets powers.
** The Electro Remix gives a few more creepy lyrics, too.
--->"He lied to me! He shot at me! He hates on me! He's using me! He's dead to me! That Spider-Man! '''HE IS MY ENEMY!!!'''"
** It gets worse when Electro decides to use his powers to ''destroy Times Square''. By that point, he's been shot at by policemen and jeered at by pretty much every New Yorker present. The lyrics reflect his mental state ''perfectly'':
--->"They lied to me! They shot at me! They hate on me! They're dead to me! '''''AND NOW THEY'RE ALL MY ENEMY!!!!!!'''''"
* The Green Goblin. He looks like [[AxCrazy an absolute maniac]], and he has [[SlasherSmile a very disturbing evil grin.]]
-->'''Goblin:''' We have PLANS for you, Peter Parker!
** Harry's transformation, for that matter. You may end up asking yourself, ''"When did this superhero film become a horror movie?!"''.
** In the Director's Version [[https://youtu.be/XFBhVJW_GkM here]] (Seizure warning!), his transformation is more disturbing and disgusting.
* Everything about Max's {{transformation|Horror}} into Electro. He's basically all alone in the Oscorp building save for the electric eels giving him "company", and then the music swells up as he precariously climbs a metal bar to repair a loose cable, singing "Happy Birthday" all by his lonesome. The music stops as he succeeds...only to then immediately grow intense once he shocks himself trying to put the cable back, ultimately falling straight down into the eel tank. His body twitches and convulses violently as the eels proceed to bite him, sending several shocks throughout his body and gradually turning it blue, all while he's completely unable to stop any of it. And then the tank ''explodes'', leaving his fried body on its base, while the PA cheekily reports that the repairs were successful. Good ''grief''.
** Even worse is his body afterwards. [[BodyHorror It's basically just a human shaped lump of hardened flesh.]] And the fact that he [[WakingUpAtTheMorgue wakes up in a crematorium]] immediately confirms the worst: that incident rendered him clinically dead. And the way he breaks out of his hardened ''corpse'' looks like something out of a horror film.
** When he takes over the city's electricity, the ensuing chaos sends two planes ''on a collision course!'' At the same time, the hospital Aunt May works at suffers from a power outage, taking out the life support systems and endangering many patients. Later on, as Spider-Man swings through New York, it's eerily dark--- save for a nearby building, whose lights are lit up strategically to form Electro's face as he stares at Spidey.
--->''"Do you see me now, Spider-Man? It's time to face your destiny."''
** Hell, Max ''before'' he becomes Electro is pretty terrifying. The guy obsesses over Spider-Man [[StalkerWithACrush to the point of having conversations with himself and Spider-Man... by himself.]] It gets worse when you see the [[ImagineSpot sequence where he fantasizes about assaulting Smythe for daring to make light of Spider-Man.]] Doubles as a TearJerker, considering his fascination with Spider-Man is solely because Max has no friends and is constantly rejected and made fun of by every person he knows.
%% Gwen died from a head injury, and it's her head / body hitting the ground that you hear. That's why she's bleeding out of her nose. She probably ''did'' break her neck, but she broke ''everything else'' as well. A broken neck alone would not cause your brain to bleed. They did it differently from the comics- Peter didn't accidentally kill her, he just failed to save her.
* Gwen's death. Peter webs her, but he's too late, even if he doesn't realize it at first. What's worse is that you can both see and hear her head bouncing off the ground, so the audience can know that she's dead before Peter himself does.
* The Amazon.com exclusive UsefulNotes/BluRay set of the movie has the discs being stored in a creepy-looking bust of ''Electro's head''. [[SchmuckBait See it]] [[http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/ref=%26%2574%2561g%3d%2562l%2575r%2561yf%256fr%2575m%252d20?tag=blurayforum-20&ASIN=B00JKPHUE0 here!]]
* When Electro teleports out of his container in the prison, he makes an ''extremely'' creepy NightmareFace.
* Two words. '''ELECTRO'S DEATH.''' Right after Peter and Gwen restore the power in New York City, Electro's power starts to overload as you can see [[BodyHorror his body literally crack up as he screams in agony.]] Then after a few minutes, '''HE EXPLODES.''' Not a single thread of him remains.

[[caption-width-right:350:Carnage has never been scarier.]]

* Cletus Kasady, even before he becomes Carnage, is a DeathSeeker and SerialKiller. He targets criminals and has earned his status as TheDreaded solidified by the fact the criminal underworld fears him.
** During the climax, he isn't satisfied with just him being Carnage, oh no, he decides to spread a symbiote to morph the other Ravencroft prisoners into a family.
** During his speech to Spider-Man he is wearing a SlasherSmile even when the symbiote isn't covering his face.
* The FlavorText for the Spider-Carnage alternate costume. Since all the alternate costume descriptions are written from Spidey's perspective as he gives an in-universe explanation for them, this one has him to his horror [[OhCrap being slowly taken control of by a piece of the Carnage symbiote]] that appearently latched on to him during his fight with Carnage. Also worth mentioning that this takes place in his home [[FridgeHorror where Aunt May also lives.]]
-->["Did I get a little too close to Cletus Kasady at Ravencroft? I suddenly feel like… Oh, my god! NO—! NO—! NO—! NOOO—!... YESSS! I am reborn in BLOOD and AGONY! I am remade into a bringer of DEATH and DESTRUCTION! CHAOS is my only love - and CARNAGE is my name!"
** [[GameplayAndStorySegregation Still doesn't stop you from being a friendly neighboorhood]] [[HorrifyingHero (if terrifying)]] [[GameplayAndStorySegregation Spider-Man/Carnage.]] In fact, watching Spider-Carnage [[AdaptationalHeroism save innocent citizens from kidnappers, help out cops in shootouts and help people out of burning buildings]], all while giving the [[DeadpanSnarker typical Spidey quips]], is actually [[NightmareRetardant pretty hilarious.]]
*** At least for now that's what he does... [[Main/FridgeHorror who's to say that when you're playing the game that's what happens but when you're off he causes more mayhem and destruction?]] There's a reason Carnage is part of his name.
