** He forced Yang to break Darrel's heart, otherwise he would kill him, and go after Ruby.
** Yang is "persuaded" to be his team's personal maid, which she says was "unbearable".

* Kor's [[DarkAndTroubledPast backstory]]. A member of a team in the past, during a mission to defend a small village, Kor was [[EyeScream blinded]] by a [[WarElephants Goliath]], and [[FromBadToWorse it all went downhill from there]]. One member had their back broken, another lost an arm, and [[HeroicSacrifice the final member was killed to make sure the others got out alive]]. Then when Kor wakes up, the leader goes [[UnstoppableRage absolutely apeshit on him]], [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown strangling him]], and using him as a HumanShield against security. Kor tries to gain the upper hand, but the leader quickly takes the advantage back, and begins perforating Kor's chest before [[DrivenToSuicide cutting his]] [[SlashedThroat own throat.]]
