* ''The Adventure Games'' don't shy away from this either. In "[[Recap/DoctorWhoTAGE02BloodOfTheCybermen Blood of the Cybermen]]", the Cybermats return, now spreading a virus that [[BodyHorror converts flesh into metal]].
** The fourth game in the series is titled [[spoiler:"[[Recap/DoctorWhoTAGE04ShadowsOfTheVashtaNerada Shadows of the Vashta Nerada]]"]], which features the creatures of the title, now ''[[PrimalFear underwater]]!''
* Ramón Salamander. Last seen on-screen, [[Recap/DoctorWhoS5E4TheEnemyOfTheWorld being thrown out of the TARDIS mid-flight into the Time Vortex]]. [[FateWorseThanDeath Funny thing is]], [[AndIMustScream he never]], ''[[AndIMustScream ever]]'', [[ICannotSelfTerminate died]]...
* In the [[Magazine/DoctorWhoMagazine DWM]] comic 'The Flood', a group of Cybermen from the future use what can best be called 'emotional rain'. This rain causes humans to experience extreme emotional attacks. This leaves the victims so traumatised by the intensity of their experiences, that when the rain cuts off, and the Cyber Leader offers the humans freedom from their emotions, they all go willingly for conversion!
* Astrolabus' final fate in "Once Upon A Time Lord", as Voyager reclaims his star-charts. We only get to see Astrolabus' arm afterwards, but that's enough.
* Literature/FactionParadox are a group of time-travelling psychos who are screwing about with time ''[[ForTheEvulz because they can]]'', led by someone who is the accumulation of ''everyone's'' [[FutureMeScaresMe evil future version]]. Their starships are built from skeletons and they wear skull masks taken from beings that don't actually exist.
** Search in this site for a bit of truly horrifying Literature/FactionParadox. See how you like the [[EldritchAbomination Yssgaroth]]. A ''vampirized'' [[LivingShip TARDIS]] eating entire dimensions. An [[EldritchLocation extradimensional realm created by mutilating Earth's history]]. Have you ever wondered how utterly horrific [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast The War In Heaven]] was for the Time Lords in Series/DoctorWho's core universe? Now, imagine something worse. ''[[UniverseCompendium The Book of the War]]'' will give you an idea. Just for comparison, [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast The Last Great Time War]] was considered better.
* As a ViralMarketing campaign, there was a BBC site called "Ghostwatch" (not to be confused with [[Film/{{Ghostwatch}} the horror Mockumentary]]), which was meant to tie into "Army Of Ghosts", where your goal is to get the "ghosts" on camera. After that's said and done, you're [[UnexpectedGameplayChange put in a different type of game]] where you direct the cameralady to a "Ghost" before time runs out. There are many ways this can go, such as finding a cat first, but it will [[ForegoneConclusion end the same way every time]], whether you wait for the time to run out, find the "ghost", or look at [[SchmuckBait a conspicuous truck]], the cameralady will shriek in fear as [[spoiler:A Cybus Cyberman deems her incompatible and murders her]].
* Even the official ''Doctor Who'' documentary ''Thirty Years in the [=TARDIS=]'' ends scarily! The little boy who's guided us through the documentary is at the mercy of a Sontaran-controlled Creator/ElisabethSladen, Creator/NicholasCourtney is trapped in a Lexus with an Auton chauffeur...
* Creator/NeilGaiman's installment in ''Literature/DoctorWho11Doctors11Stories''. He gives us The Kin, an EldritchAbomination that devours a small girl at one point in the story, donning a Big Bad Wolf disguise to do so.
* ''ComicBook/DoctorWhoTitan'' gives us the [[https://scans-daily.dreamwidth.org/6448979.html?thread=177837395 Volatix Cabal]], a group of Daleks allowed to be twisted and mutated so that the [[CreativeSterility normal Daleks]] could exploit their creativity. MadScientist? Check. BodyHorror? Check. MadnessMantra? Check ''indeed.'' And their catch phrase is "EXTERMIN'''HATE'''". God (or the Doctor) help you if you end up StrappedToAnOperatingTable with these freaks...
-->''Fascinating. It has a pretty scream.\\
An idea, an idea! Mightn't we weaponize its voice?\\
I desire one of its teeth I cannot be denied''
** And by the way? Their plans involve creating ''divine'' Daleks, and corrupting Paradise into their ideal of hate and slaughter. In particular, the Volatix were made to exploit creativity, driven insane by the Dalek creed of hate into sadistic solipsism, and their sense of aesthetics was increased to the point they become ever crazier as they design more and more pointlessly sadistic techniques and weapons with the expectation that once they are done, their ultimate triumph will culminate with their self-destruction. But until then, they only wish to become better and better monsters.
* From ''Radio/TheParadiseOfDeath'', it is slowly revealed that, not only has [[MultipurposeMonoculturedCrop Rapine]] cultivation reduced most of Parakon to a barren wasteland, but [[MegaCorp the Parakon Corporation]] wages engineered wars on other planets and [[HumanResources converts their corpses into Rapine fertilizer]] to keep the crop going. There're also no {{Eldritch Abomination}}s needed for this horror -- the whole concept sounds like something out of ''VideoGame/{{Ultrakill}}''!
