[[folder:Season 1]]
* Maddie's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOqhmlEKLL4 "Disappear" solo]] combines this with TearJerker. The music is excellently creepy, and Maddie does such a powerful job of conveying her character--[[spoiler:an abused girl who [[DrivenToSuicide kills herself via drowning]]]]--that it seems scarily real.
* "Where Have All the Children Gone?" is easily one of the scariest dances to date, if not ''the'' scariest. The accompaniment isn't music, it's actually [[CreepyMonotone spoken-word]], which makes it all the creepier. All the girls are wearing the exact same white dress, Vivi-Anne pushes Mackenzie on a creepy swing, and if it wasn't scary enough, [[spoiler:the girls start disappearing one by one after some act of suicide [[FridgeHorror with subtle hints]] [[NothingIsScarier as to how they killed themselves]]. Nia clutches her throat, Chloe clutches her stomach, Maddie slits her wrist, Paige jumps offstage, and so on.]]
** Probably the creepiest part is the very end, [[spoiler:where all of the girls have disappeared, but the previously used swing is still swinging by itself...]]
** [[http://dancemoms.wikia.com/wiki/Where_Have_All_The_Children_Gone The lyrics of the "song" used]] classify as NightmareFuel all on their own.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 2]]
* "I See the Kite Flying", the "sequel" to "Where Have All the Children Gone?". In this one, each girl is [[SanitySlippage a mental patient]], rocking back and forth or hitting themselves in the head. The same monotone returns for this one, making it just as eerie.
** [[http://dancemoms.wikia.com/wiki/I_See_The_Kite_Flying Just read the lyrics for the "song"]]. They just ''sound'' written by a lunatic.
* "The Last Text". It depicts the girls "texting and driving", and [[spoiler:the "car" that they're in crashes. The girls then die off one by one except for Paige (the driver), who is [[AndIMustScream completely immobile for most of the dance]], and Maddie, [[SanitySlippage who is showing subtle hints of going crazy.]] Then at the end, when everyone save Maddie and Paige are dead, Maddie goes to touch Paige and she slumps over, revealing that she was {{dead all along}}. As Maddie [[PleaseWakeUp tries to revive her]], [[DownerEnding we hear police sirens wailing in the background, and Maddie runs offstage]].]]
** The musical accompaniment, "Describing the Car Crash", is NightmareFuel all on its own. The eerie and ominous sound, the loud bang that sounds every few seconds, and the fact that it repeats over and over.

[[folder:Season 4]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9c2K9H9tAo The violent scuffle between Abby and Kelly]].
** Right before [[spoiler:Kelly attacks her]], you can see her gnashing her teeth and apparently trying to ''bite'' her.
* The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QajOwj1l4ZE "Amber Alert"]] routine, which has been said to nearly rival "The Last Text" in its level of storytelling. If the idea alone (child abduction) isn't enough to creep you out, the actual dance itself will do it, with special note going to the ending. [[spoiler:Mackenzie has been killed by her "abductors", and Maddie approaches her. [[HopeSpot She is smiling.]] She lifts up Mackenzie's head (which had been hanging downwards), and recoils in horror when she realizes that her sister is dead. [[DownerEnding She then runs away]].]]
** [[spoiler:Mackenzie's fate]] is in and of itself pretty frightening, especially due to [[spoiler:[[NothingIsScarier the lack of true details]].]]
** The song that accompanies it ("Touch" by Lights Fade Low), just adds to the eerie atmosphere.
-->"[[{{Yandere}} No one will touch you / No one will touch you / I'd rip their heads off if they tried...]]"
** Exactly when Mackenzie gets taken by the abductors, there is some creepy distortion that in the song...

[[folder:Season 5]]
* The scene with a burned-out Abby wearing no makeup with her hair in a mess having an emotional breakdown in front of the moms is at the very least unnerving to watch.
* Jojo's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrJw6szJKqI prom queen solo]], as seen in the page image. It's a ''Film/Carrie1976'' inspired dance that is being performed by an 11 year old. [[SarcasmMode Because there's]] [[WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids nothing wrong with that.]] Anyway, the dance starts innocently before [[JumpScare surprising you with some]] PsychoStrings that sound out while Jojo thrashes onstage. From then on, it becomes an intense and disquieting orchestral piece of madness that Jojo dances to.
** Her final stance in the dance, which depicts her [[AndIMustScream frozen with one hand clutching her chest and the other outstretched, with her mouth open in a silent scream]].
* Abby has now managed to upstage "Prom Queen" with a Jojo solo that's even more terrifying: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amla-aYxNa8 "Straighten Up"]], which has the poor girl dancing ''in a straitjacket'' [[spoiler:until halfway through]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 6]]
* Maddie's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlJeLxGVmtQ Lizzie Borden]] solo. Everything about it is creepy, with her disturbing ghostly facial makeup, blood-stained white dress, and the fact that she's holding a bloody ax throughout the dance.
** Special mention to the music, which is already scary to listen to; it's a mixture between an OminousMusicBoxTune and brooding, roaring synths. It's even creepier once you start to hear the words. Note that these are said by a ''[[CreepyChild child]]'' in the song.
-->He's behind you\\
He's watching you\\
He's coming
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VG5Au7dhec8 Suicide Hotline]], a dance that's equal parts grim and sad considering its subject matter. It has Kalani in a white dress dancing alongside Brynn, Kendall, and Nia in black dresses and ends with Kalani running away as her friends try to stop her. [[spoiler:The phone then rings, and as Kendall picks it up [[DownerEnding we only hear a dead tone...]]]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 7]]
* Kendall's solo, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCYnjLaVby8 The Scream]]. Guess how it ends.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 8]]
* Elliana and Liliana's solos from Episode 9 were based off two of Jojo's Season 5 solos. Elliana's solo "Carrie" was based off Jojo's solo "Prom Queen," complete with the blood all over her. Liliana's solo "Straight Escape" was based off Jojo's solo "Straighten Up" where Liliana had to dance with a straitjacket on, just like Jojo did.
** Please note that these solos were called [[ExaggeratedTrope Jojo's solos on crack]] by Abby herself. That is how extreme it is.
* The group dance "The Chosen One" from Episode 13. The concept is the following: [[Literature/TheLottery The farmers hold a lottery every year to have a "chosen one."]] That chosen one is ''stoned to death'' in order for the rest of the village to have good crops for the rest of the year.
