* Episode 3, Drowned, from the moment he decides to play the Elegy of Emptiness, all through the nail-bitingly tense "You shouldn't have done that" section in the underground cave and the Happy Mask Shop. It culminates in a scene at the tree inside the moon, where the statue gets closer, faster and faster, [[JumpScare until there's a scream and a momentary flash of the Mask Salesman's livid face...]] [[NothingIsScarier and then silence.]]
** The statue on the moon, getting closer to Link just as he changes the camera angle... WITH NO SIGN OF MOVEMENT AT ALL. Something similar was the statue appearing on the fourth video behind the last tombstone.
* One of the most terrifying moments in the entire ARG comes a day or two after you download [=TheTruth=].rtf: It's not there anymore.
** The last part of [=TheTruth=].rtf is terrifying when you notice believe has the middle letters upper case, meaning "LIE"...[[OhCrap oh dear]].
* The video in which Link walks around with his back turned horizontally while his eyes are decidedly... different looking. Hell, all the videos themselves except for huntyoudown.wmv.
** One video is nothing more than underwater sounds with the text, "No one came." It's BEN drowning.
* How about some fridge horror? Much of the story is uploaded by Jadusable's roommate. Jadus lives in a single-bed dorm.
%%* [[NightmareFace FUCKING KELBRIS]]
%%** And the ''Moon Children'', as the latest arc has shown.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_8673eqKz8 iseeyou]] in general. [[spoiler:Those people shown in the video? It's BEN. '''''[[IAmLegion They're all BEN.]]''''']]. The whispering during the video doesn't help at all.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymWm0O51iG0 THE FATHER.wmv]], because [[spoiler: we get to meet the thing that BEN fears.]]
** [[spoiler: The FATHER]] in general is horrifying. The [[spoiler: way it looks...the eyes..the fact it ''kills'' Jad...]]
* The Moon Children.wmv has a very unsettling string of moments: After fighting through a duo of Odolwas in Clock Town [[spoiler: sent by the FATHER]], Sarah heads to the Stock Pot Inn...which is ''eerily'' dark, with Anju nowhere to be seen. Sarah slowly makes her way to the kitchen at the back...[[spoiler: where she's promptly ambushed by the moon child wearing Odolwa's face. After that brief encounter, Sarah is sent back to the Inn, which is back to sans the lack of inhabitants...and the sudden enemy music playing. As Sarah attempts to go upstairs, she finds the source: A Skulltulla guarding the way to the second floor. Even the EnemyScan is changed to ask what it could be guarding, making it further unsettling...]]
** And when Sarah [[spoiler: manages to get past the Skulltula, she finds the answer: Another of the Moon Children. The moment she spots it, the error sound plays, the game freezes and resets...and when Sarah loads the next save she finds herself back in Clock Town...''with EVERY NPC being turned into a Redead by the FATHER'']]
* The Happy Mask Salesman.wmv has a very unsettling moment when Sarah attempts to follow Anju into the Laundry Pool. [[spoiler: Anju is nowhere to be seen and eventually the Inverted Song of Healing starts to play as [[WhamShot the Happy Mask Salesman's corpse is seen at the bottom of the water...]]]]
* The Predecessor.wmv shows how you can make the moon even more unsettling. [[spoiler: As Sarah heads towards Great Bay from Snowhead, she occasionally stops to look at the moon, which is always...ALWAYS looking back.]]
* The Showdown.wmv has Sarah face off against [[spoiler: Jadusable, who appears in the form of the Fierce Diety. The FATHER didn't just kill him; he corrupted him. One can only imagine the living hell our original protagonist has been going through over the decade since his first appearance.]]
** The worst part? [[spoiler: [[TheHeroDies Sarah loses]].]]
* While not overtly terrifying itself, FOR INTERNAL CORPORATE USE ONLY - PLEASE DO NOT REDISTRIBUTE sheds an enormous amount of light on what's actually happening in the story; [[spoiler: it turns out the haunted cartridge and everything to do with it is not about paranormal powers, but actually the result of a project to digitise people's minds, allowing them to live forever in a Matrix-esque digital landscape. One of the big draws of the project? '' Being able to live in your favourite video games.'']] It removes some of the horror mystique surrounding the narrative, but replaces it with the [[spoiler: raw existential terror of living forever in a simulation, and being trapped in one with a being as malevolent and all-powerful as The FATHER.]] Worse yet, [[spoiler:the Father's corruption is no longer limited to the Majora's Mask world...]]
** The Morse code at the start of the following video - The Final Hours.wmv - drives this point home.
-->[[spoiler: trapped in an endless cycle]]
-->[[spoiler: no way to die]]
-->[[spoiler: they didn't tell us this]]
-->[[spoiler: was ascension]]
* In The Final Hours.wmv, [[spoiler: Sarah is resurrected]] and returned to the game, but Clock Town is now inescapable due to a number of large rocks blocking all the exits. In addition, [[spoiler: the moon is no longer floating above the Clock Tower; it is instead hovering malevolently behind the South Clock Town gate, ''staring directly at the player.'' [[OhCrap It's blinking]].]]
** As Link walks out from the Clock Tower, the tape distortion that usually appears at the start of the Arc 3 videos appear. At one point, you see a faded image of [[spoiler: The FATHER]].
** While there are very few [=NPCs=] left in the town, the ones that are encountered disappear upon returning to the area they're in, replaced with a gravestone from Ikana Canyon. The Great Fairy isn't even seen; a gravestone is already there.
