* ''Webcomic/AnsemRetort'' has occasional Mythology Gags to its sources, ''Franchise/KingdomHearts'', ''Videogame/FinalFantasyVII'', and occasionally ''Franchise/StarWars''.
-->'''Sora:''' I wanna fuse with a talking dog! No, now wait! I wanna fuse with a pantsless duck! Wait, wait...a talking dog AND a pantsless duck!
* ''Webcomic/BrawlInTheFamily'' has a reference [[http://brawlinthefamily.keenspot.com/comic/386-hotstuff/ here]] to [[http://brawlinthefamily.keenspot.com/2011/12/05/383-nepotism/ this strip's]] {{Alt Text}}.
** And in [[http://brawlinthefamily.keenspot.com/comic/495-comicreviewe32013/ strip 495]] Pit and Mega Man meet and the author can not help to make a ''WesternAnimation/CaptainNTheGameMaster'' joke:
--->'''[[VideoGame/KidIcarus Pit]]''': Hey Man! Haven't seen '''you''' in a while. ''[[WesternAnimation/CaptainNTheGameMaster Now we just need to get]]'' ''[[Franchise/{{Castlevania}} Simon]]''-\\
'''[[VideoGame/MegaManClassic Mega Man]]''': SHH! [[LetUsNeverSpeakOfThisAgain Don't bring that up!]]\\
'''Pit''': Bring up '''WHAT'''-[[CanisLatinicus icus?]]\\
'''Mega Man''': '''AARGH!'''
* ''WebComic/DragonBallMultiverse'':
** Someone allowed [[Literature/JourneyToTheWest Sun Wukong]] to compete in this tournament. No one is safe. Luckily, Tenshinhan looked like Buddha. Guess who eventually defeated the Monkey King in ''Literature/JourneyToTheWest''?
** During U18 Pan's fight with U13 Kakorot, a gag occurs that goes back to the original series. [[spoiler: When Kakorot grabs Pan so she can't use the Kamehameha, she simply directs it out of her feet - something only done before with Goku during the 23rd Budokai Tenkaichi.]]
** In Chapter 22, Dabura expresses his approval of Beelzebub, saying he'd like to have a son like that; in ''Sand Land'', Beelzebub's father Satan (Lucifer in the Viz translation) looks exactly like, and is even implied to be, Dabura.
* ''Webcomic/MSPaintAdventures'' is ''made'' of {{Mythology Gag}}s. ''Webcomic/ProblemSleuth'' has lots of {{Shout Out}}s to ''Webcomic/{{Jailbreak}}'' and ''Webcomic/BardQuest'', and ''Webcomic/{{Homestuck}}'' in turn references ''Webcomic/ProblemSleuth'' quite a bit, along with many of Andrew Hussie's other works. [[Webcomic/DrBrinnerGhostPsychiatrist Dr. Brinner]] even gets a nod!
** The character of Equius expresses frequent references to Hussie's previous works, which were a lot [[DarkerAndEdgier Darker and]] {{Troll}}ier than ''Webcomic/{{Homestuck}}''. His lusus is a reference to ''{{Humanimals}}'', he is interested in analysing [[UsefulNotes/FurryFandom Furry]] muscle fetish porn as high art (as Hussie once ran a blog doing), and his arc involves ExtremeDoormat submission to a clown character to the point where he simply allows the clown to kill him, referencing ''{{Whistles}}'', a story about a clown whose AchillesHeel was obsessive submission to his ringmaster, to the point of self-mutilation.
** Gamzee, the Bard of Rage, wears a codpiece in his fake god tier outfit, just like the protagonist of ''Webcomic/BardQuest''.
** In Rose's room, she has sketches of some characters from ''Wizardy Herbert'', an abandoned novel Hussie had been writing that served as a trial run for ''Webcomic/{{Homestuck}}'' in terms of feel and characters. It was a ''Franchise/HarryPotter''-like story about a wizard summer camp that apparently filled with "Homestuckian convolution", and [[WhatCouldHaveBeen will apparently never be finished because it is too similar to]] ''Homestuck''. The RunningGag about characters loudly declaring that magic is not real is also a reference to the book. [[spoiler: Roxy, the A2 counterpart to Rose's Mom, actually writes the story in the series, though it seems to be the ''Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff'' answer to her mother's book ''Complacency of the Learned''. We also get to see a few excerpts of it in the process.]]
** Li'l Cal shares his name with an UncleTomfoolery EthnicScrappy character from ''Team Special Olympics'', which may explain his PrettyFlyForAWhiteGuy appearance.
* In ''[[Webcomic/{{Raruto}} Raruto Sisepuede]]'', a parody of ''[[Manga/{{Naruto}} Naruto Shippuden]]'', Chochimaru[[note]]Orochimaru[[/note]] just quits being evil and leaves the lair, after which Kabutops[[note]]Kabuto[[/note]] ragequits. Now Saske[[note]]Sasuke[[/note]] needs to feed Chochimaru's dog and can't find the fodder, so he asks the members of The Heavy[[note]]Hebi[[/note]] for help, but they self-appoint themselves as Saske's teammates. When Saske tells them Chochimaru's gone, they jump to the conclusion that Saske killed him, just as a journalist passes by. Cue GossipEvolution: just a few hours later, everyone in the ninja world thinks everything about Chochimaru's death and the forming of the Heavy went just as in ''{{Manga/Naruto}}''.
* ''Webcomic/VixenNYC'': In the second chapter, Mari gets a hand modeling gig, a nod to her comics counterpart (who is a model).
