'''Luci'fer Luscious Violenoue''' is one of the very few female (yes, ''that's'' a female) artists of the VisualKei movement in the late [[TheEighties 80s]] and early [[TheNineties 90s]]. As an [[AmbiguousGender androgynous]] Japanese vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, photographer, video director, writer, jewelry designer, and model, it wouldn't hurt to have some diversity in a musical movement that has been AlwaysMale, right?. And she happened to be one of the most well-known amongst obscure female VK acts, [[SugarWiki/NeedsMoreLove which is kind of a pity]].

From 1986 to 1998 she led Visual Gothic rock band, GILLE'LOVES. Renamed to "[[AllLowercaseLetters fiction]]" in 1997. She has however started releasing her own solo works in 1994, which was before they disbanded. Though afterwards, she has been drifting to her own waters while not losing some influences with her old band's music and it's still somewhat visible in her songs.

She has cited her musical influences as DavidBowie, TheCure, and {{Bauhaus}}. fiction contributed cover track "In The Flat Field" to the internationally released compilation album ''Satori: A Tribute to Bauhaus''.

During her years, she's probably been best recognized for her naturally androgynous appearance. [[InvertedTrope While most Visual Kei artists try to look like women, she tries to look like a man]]. Also, she tends to use male pronouns and play male roles in her monologues. Also a known trait is her style in music. Though simplistic, it is still rather elegant and has an "easy to listen" feel in it. Her vocals are not limited to singing and have released tracks in spoken word. Some sounding like a ''Sprechgesang'' (speech-song) as they can sometimes have spoken lyrics inserted along the way.

Then there's her anonymity--As of now, nobody knows her real name, rumors aside. Her age as well (born July 7, 19XX).

In 2006, she disappeared from the music scene and closed her official fan club, though noting in the final issue that she may "be seen again". Since that time, she has worked in Tokyo as a fortune teller in group La Miste Yasuragi under the name Nana Tarot-sensei. It is rumored that "Nana" may be her real given name--though unconfirmed, it is a popular name for girls born on July 7, as one of the name's possible meanings is "seven".

Then in 2011, she seems to have made a comeback: under her YouTube account, she posted one song that is supposed to be one of the tracks in her upcoming album called ''Iyashi no Tsuki'', to be released in November. Unfortunately, to the disappointment of some fans, this was a fraud and the tracks were plagiarized from another obscure VK band, DIE RAUM KUNST.

As for the real Lucifer, it is unknown whether she'll decide to come back into the music scene or not.

!!Provides examples of:
* AerithAndBob: Her name. ''[[MeltingPotNomenclature Yeah]]''.
* AmbiguousGender: This goes without saying.
* {{Bifauxnen}}: Seriously, even a girl (or gay man) would find ''her'' hot.
* {{Bokukko}}: An artistic variant, given her image.
* BreakupBreakout: Besides her, what ever happened to ''fiction''?
* ConceptAlbum: "Kusari ni Tsunagareta Tenshi" is an album that contains songs of experimental length and centered around the themes of WorldWarII, NaziGermany, and a {{deconstruction}} of "Lili Marleen", a famous love song at the time. It is about a girl in Germany in World War II. She had the dream of running away with her lover, but he was drafted, and she couldn’t go to war with him since she was a woman.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: Her ''GILLE'LOVES''' songs' recordings haven't had the recording technology then.
* FracturedFairyTale: Her 2000 album has two of them in song. "Literature/SleepingBeauty" and "Usotsuki Literature/{{Cinderella}}" (Lying Cinderella).
* {{Goth}}
* GratuitousEnglish: When it comes to making the titles of her work but not so much when considering her lyrics in the songs.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: Her GILLE'LOVES vids and her ''LILLIE MARLENE'' VHS as a solo artist are hard to find online. Though a number of them are sold in Amazon.jp which some have bought, its content is still not shown on the internet.
* LadyLooksLikeADude
* LighterAndSofter: The materials released particularly from 2000-2002, in contrast with the ethereal and echo laden songs she's made in the 1990s.
* MysteriousPast: Perhaps, we might not know about her life too soon.
* NarrativePoem: One of her unique qualities. Some songs of hers, in fact.
* TheNineties: Is when her fame started to grow.
* PetitePride: She seems to flaunt her small-breasted state quite all the time by wearing exclusively male garment. Her chests are just too invisible, even for a female.
* PurpleProse: In Japanese! Abundant kanji, deep words, detailed sentence structures. What her [=PVs=] so minimally show, she makes up for it with flowery lyrics and narrations.
* SomethingAboutARose
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Her name is stylized in different ways: ''Lucifer Luscious Violenoue'', ''Luci'fer Luscious Violenoue'' and ''LUCI'FER LUSCIOUS Violenoue''
* SpokenWord
* TheUnpronounceable: "Violenoue", eh? It's pronounced, 'viola-new' or 'viola-nu'... whatever floats your boat.
* VisualKei
* XMeetsY: There's an interview between Mana and Lucifer. [[http://web.archive.org/web/20090828053952/http://luciferluscious.com/trans/lucifermana.html One of the most awesome things to happen in VK history]].
