* Apparently Music/Shakira with her truthful hips is the TropeCodifier.
* especially in the late '80s/early '90s, and especially with the Sex book.
* Emily Haines, the frontwoman for Canadian band Music/Metric, is known for her gyrating dancing during live shows and outfits that display her long legs.
* Veronica Varlow, one of Emilie Autumn's Bloody Crumpets, is a burlesque dancer who has the most revealing of the Bloody Crumpets' costumes and will kiss muffins (EA fans), most notably during the "Rat Game" which is mostly her kissing a muffin on stage.
** Music/EmilieAutumn herself, for that matter.
* Music/ChristinaAguilera.
* The Music/PussycatDolls.
* Music/JanetJackson.
* Music/BritneySpears, outside of 2006-2007.
* Music/MariahCarey.
* Music/Cher.
* Music/GirlsAloud.
* Music/JenniferLopez.
* Patricia Morrison from TheSistersOfMercy. Andrew Eldritch admits that's the main reason he chose her to join the band.
* Natalie Horler of Cascada. She's hot the way she is, but then when you take into consideration the lingerie she routinely wears on tours, and the music videos with her NOT WEARING PANTS, the "imagination" runs wild.
* Simone Simons of Epica. Aside from appearing naked (albeit tastefully in an allusion to the Eve character in Garden of Eden story) in the cover artwork of their "The Divine Conspiracy" album, just watch the music video for Kamelot's "The Haunting," wherein she guest-stars. If that outfit wasn't her own idea, I'll eat my hat. Oh, and never content to be just another pretty face, her voice is rather pleasant as well.
* KatyPerry
* Music/KylieMinogue (not counting her child career, of course)
* Music/LadyGaga, when she isn't being flat-out weird.
* NickiMinaj. When she isn't sitting in the UncannyValley, which is increasingly frequently.
* Sabrina Salerno. Her 80's video of Boys was banned in places due to a slipping bikini, became a sex symbol for a generation of young people, and appeared in her videos kissing a variety of females including a ballerina and a robot woman.
* MileyCyrus, at least in her "Can't Be Tamed" video. Winged Humanoid girl in black leather leotard and thigh high boots, who dances around with a bunch of stripperific guys and girls. Yeah...
** Increasingly not just in that video.
* Music/KodaKumi
* Norwegian bubblegum star Lene Alexandra is one of the most blatant examples in recent memory. One of her singles is literally a song devoted to her breasts, with a video that consists of roughly three minutes of her posing in increasingly skimpy fetish outfits.
* Anne-Sophie Mutter achieved success and fame as a (hot) violinist.
** Ofra Harnoy was Mutter's equivalent on the cello.
* The video for Eric Prydz's "Call on Me" has a scantily-clad aerobics class doing sexually suggestive moves, which is a turn-on in itself, but the real fanservice girl is the one in the tank-thong.
* Rihanna.
* favors tight jeans and tank tops for performances, has done at least one shoot for Playboy, and has a tradition of grinding during the second chorus of her hit single, "Hold Me Down". None of her fans, regardless of gender or sexuality, seem to mind.
* PixieLott.
* Music/CarlyRaeJepsen often does this through cropped shirts and short shorts.
* Music/CherLloyd. Her music videos are rife with this, thanks to her dress styles.
* PopMusic girl groups in general, with that country's boy bands, hitting the other demographic. They're especially associated with this trope in Japan.
* Music/ShaniaTwain, who was one of the first major CountryMusic artists to embrace this trope. In particular, she popularized baring your midriff among a whole generation of both country singers and pop stars, a few years before Britney.
* Hippie/space rock band Music/Hawkwind played shamelessly on the charms of their stage dancer Stacia, whose role in the band was effectively to dance to the music, in a spaced-out stoned kind of way, and take her clothes off. As she was over six feet tall with an impressive poitrine, this drew many impressionable fans to the front of the stage.
* Doris Yeh of Music/Chthonic
* Nancy Sinatra owned this trope in 60s pop music.
* The heavy metal band Butcher Babies is fronted by two very attractive women (Heidi Shepherd and Carla Harvey), and their stage outfits tend to be rather stripperiffic.
* It's not unusual for Super Bowl national anthem singers to be female these days because of the predominantly male audience.
* In the BBC's impressive library of music films, there is a late 1970's performance of Meatloaf and Karla de Vita performing Paradise by the Dashboard Light sometime around 1979, from the music show Series/TheOldGreyWhistleTest. This is an enegetically acted song. What makes this clip especially mesmerising is that Karla is performing in a filmy black top slashed to below the navel in front and open at both sides. She gets within millimetres of inadvertent exposure several times, but perhaps due to strategic tape never quite gets there.
* The all-female string quartet Bond, known just as much for their skimpy dresses as they were for their music (which was essentially pop/classical crossover).
