%%
%% Keep in mind that this trope is about male characters who provide a lot of fanservice. Refrain from posting entries that are simply gushing about
%% a male character you think is hot.

* ''{{Tekken}}'' has lots of them, like Jin Kazama and his [[AllGirlsWantBadBoys evil]] father Kazuya Mishima, with their most appreciated habit of fighting [[WalkingShirtlessScene shirtless]]. Other examples are Hwoarang and [[OlderThanHeLooks Lee Chaolan]].
* ''MetalGearSolid2'' had Raiden, and even stripped him naked near the end of the game. It's also fair to note that Snake's outfit suddenly and inexplicably got very, very tight. [[ThongOfShielding Particularly around the buttocks]]. The character designer freely admitted that Raiden was to appeal to girls who liked handsome young {{Bishonen}}, and Snake to girls who liked sexy older men.
** Raiden was even intended to have visible panty lines under his suit, but, in the most recent figurine line, Raiden's underwear is nowhere to be seen - and Snake's underwear lines are incredibly visible over his stupidly well-sculpted buttocks, probably as a nod to the fact that Snake unintentionally became more popular with the girls than Raiden.
** Liquid Snake. Blond, British, wanders around [[WalkingShirtlessScene shirtless]] in Alaska.
** Kazuhira Miller in ''Peace Walker''. [[FirstPersonSnapshooter You get to take photos of him in his underwear]]. You can also [[DudeShesLikeInAComa molest him in his sleep]] and even ''[[GayOption have sex]]'' with him in one bonus mission in the game.
* Several characters in ''VideoGame/GuiltyGear'' count as this, to the point where WalkingShirtlessScene Anji looks almost ''tame'' compared to the likes of Sol and Johnny.
** Don't forget [[UnsettlingGenderReveal Bridget]], who's become quite popular amongst fangirls.
* While every male character in ''VideoGame/BlazBlue'' is attractively designed, the biggest fangirl baits in the game are Jin and Hazama. Jin is a tsundere bishounen with tight clothing and troubled past. A sexy pillowcase featuring him sold at twice the amount of Noel's and Rachel's pillowcases weeks before it was even designed. Hazama, the smooth criminal, is a very well dressed troll who dances as he fights. He is the only character, male or female, who has a bath scene in game.
* Albel Nox from ''StarOceanTillTheEndOfTime'' has an outfit that features a completely purple ensemble including a tight, [[BareYourMidriff belly-revealing shirt]] and a purple skirt. He also has an unlockable shirtless outfit (with {{sarashi}}!), an imprisonment scene, permanent shackles at his neck and wrists, and {{Panty Shot}}s.
* ''VideoGame/TalesOfVesperia'': Yuri Lowell, anyone? His outfits had built in chest exposure. Some of his alternate outfits (especially in the Japanese PS3 version) involve showing a fair bit of skin, or have him in skin-tight outfits.
* Luke from ''VideoGame/TalesOfTheAbyss'', with his midriff baring shirt and ripped abs; ([[ShirtlessScene and seems to lose the shirt altogether in many of his alternate outfits]]).
* ''Franchise/MassEffect'': The game's enormous female following is largely due to the ability to play a female Shepard, but in case that wasn't enough incentive...
** Most of the male love interests are some degree of MrFanservice, but Thane takes the cake: the [[TheAtoner assassin seeking redemption]] with a troubled past, deep raspy voice, a taste for leather, and a tendency to show off a good portion of his pecs (mind you, that's to help stave off a terminal disease, but still). He was specifically designed by the creators to provide a male counterpart to the [[GreenSkinnedSpaceBabe asari]].
** James Vega takes up the mantle in the third game. He's not a romance option, but the game doesn't mind letting players admire his body, in and out of universe.
* ''VagrantStory'' has have [[ImplacableMan Ashley]] in his assless battleshorts, muscle-revealing shirtfront, and improbable red hair, or the shirtless [[AntiVillain Sydney]] with his barely-hanging-on pants and dramatic buttcape.
* Amiti in ''VideoGame/GoldenSunDarkDawn'' is a {{Bishounen}} WarriorPrince whose introductory storyline is spent wearing [[EverythingsSparklyWithJewelry more jewelry]] [[WalkingShirtlessScene than clothing]].
* ''DevilMayCry'' with Dante, courtesy of his shirtless younger self just stepping out of the shower in the first scene of the third game. It runs in the family: see his older twin Vergil and [[spoiler:nephew Nero]].
* ''{{Persona 3}}'' has Akihiko Sanada, a white haired {{Bishonen}} who is totally adorable. He gets a couple of shirtless scenes in the game: the BeachEpisode where he walks out on the beach in nothing but a speedo, and the hot springs episode where he is once again lacking in the clothes department. In Persona 3: FES and Persona 3 Portable, you can actually have him wear his bathing suit to Tartarus, though he keeps a shirt on. In Persona 3 Portable if you play as the female protagonist, she can have a romantic relationship with him -- you even go to his room and "[[DidYouJustHaveSex spend a long time with him]]" when you max his S.Link.
** And if there was any doubt that Akihiko is and always has been MrFanservice, [[http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/3/33855/2067725-akihiko.jpg this is what he looks like in]] ''{{Persona 4 Arena}}''.
* The main character from ''VideoGame/ShinMegamiTenseiIIINocturne'' spends ''98% of the time'' shirtless. It's practically a shirtless ''[[LogicalExtreme game]]''. The only time the Demi-Fiend wears a shirt is in the prologue (the first 30-60 minutes of a ~50 hour game), before there's any actual gameplay. He's pretty buff, too.
* Link, whenever he's an adult, is a handsome {{Bishonen}}. As shown in the page image, he even gets a ShirtlessScene in ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTwilightPrincess''.
* The ''SoulSeries'' has [[LongHairedPrettyBoy Siegfried]], the subverted {{Knight In Shining Armor}}, Patroklos, the son of Sophitia, and [[HellBentforLeather Z.W.E.I.]]. ''Every'' male character in Soul Calibur V can have [[ClothingDamage their armor broken]] during battle and fight shirtless.
* ''VideoGame/SengokuBasara'' gives us Sanada Yukimura. Able to effortlessly go from {{Moe}} puppyblob to HotBlooded kickassery at the drop of a hat. And don't even get us started on those [[WalkingShirtlessScene abs]]...
* [[PrinceOfPersia The Prince]] manages to lose more and more of his upper-body clothes over the course of the first game, until he's completely shirtless.
* Kaim from ''LostOdyssey'' has very formfitting armour, with a nice sliver of flesh that shows off his hips and lower back. Not to mention the scene when he awakes after losing his memories, and is shirtless.
* ''Franchise/FinalFantasy'' loves its pretty boys. Let's see - partial list;
** ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII'' prequel ''CrisisCore'' has Zack Fair, complete with a ShirtlessScene on the beach.
** ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyVIII'' has Squall and Irvine. Irvine was specifically designed to be less attractive than Squall, who was based on a popular JPop artist. The former is brooding, snarky, with a DarkAndTroubledPast, and the latter is a carefree and highly flirtatious cowboy.
** ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXII'' gives us Balthier, the dashing, handsome pirate rogue whose mostly there for the same reason [[MsFanservice Fran]] is: the eye candy.
** ''VideoGame/DissidiaFinalFantasy'': Everybody knows Sephiroth is much more than fanservice. Still, they just HAD to make him an alternate costume where he fights [[OneWingedAngel with one wing]] and [[WalkingShirtlessScene zero shirts.]] There's Cloud and Vincent too.
** ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII'': [[IdiotHero Snow]] is the perfect stereotype of that somewhat simple but absurdly hot boyfriend that goes to the ends of the world to save his girlfriend. He even gets two {{Shirtless Scene}}s, one in ''[[VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII XIII]]'' and one in ''[[VideoGame/LightningReturnsFinalFantasyXIII Lightning Returns]]'' [[note]]but only if the fight against him takes long enough[[/note]] and boy, Snow is ''ripped''.
** ''VideoGame/{{Final Fantasy XIII-2}}'' gives us Noel. He was there to make a male presence but obviously, the fangirls played for him, not for Serah.
* THE original MrFanservice in fighting games, however, is [[StreetFighter Ryu]]. TallDarkAndHandsome? Check. HeroicBuild? Check. {{Badass}} inside the battlefield and a NiceGuy outside? Check. [[DoesnotLikeShoes Walks barefoot]]? Check. Friends of both genders that he can be {{ship tease}}d with once in a while? Check.
* Ghaleon from ''VideoGame/LunarTheSilverStar'' certainly qualifies. Just his voice alone could be considered fanservice.
** In ''VideoGame/LunarEternalBlue'' White Knight Leo takes this place.. Especially considering his rather... "questionable" battle cries Working Designs gave him. [[spoiler:Nall's human form]] may also qualify if [[ShotaCon you're into that kind of thing.]]
* The male Blood Elf player character in ''VideoGame/WorldOfWarcraft'' could qualify as this, appearing in the game at about the same time Blizzard began to realize they had a significant female playerbase.
** At the very least, his original model was pretty enough that the male fans set up a howling outcry until the developers bulked up his muscles. He still has much more delicate facial features and ''much'' more fabulous hair options than any of the other male models.
* ''VideoGame/TheKingOfFighters'' is a FightingGame franchise that has had a LARGE female following almost from the start, so [[GenreSavvy the developers are EXPERTS]] in [[PanderingToTheFanbase creating male characters that will appeal to the female demographics.]] The one who set the example in regards to this trope is Iori Yagami: Deep and sensual voice? Check. Bad boy attitude? Check. HellBentForLeather? Check. DarkAndTroubledPast? Check. Very intense FoeYay with people of both genders, specially [[TheHero Kyo]]? Check. Popular with both fangirls ''and'' [[EvenTheGuysWantHim fanboys]]? CheckPlease.
** For that matter, the TallDarkAndHandsome Kyo Kusanagi himself has become more of this with time. He's also kind of a bad boy [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold but not as jerk-ish as Iori is]], has a pretty nice body, deals the snark very well, and possesses loads of HoYay and FoeYay with others. Not to mention KOF: KYO takes his {{Bishonen}} traits and turns them UpToEleven. (And his physical beauty even gets praised by ''[[StreetFighter Vega]]'' [[TheFightingNarcissist of all people]] in VideoGame/SNKVsCapcomSVCChaos)
** And following both Iori Kyo, there's K'. A gorgeous DarkSkinnedBlond who's also HellBentForLeather, has his own share of DarkAndTroubledPast, tries to be a [[TheStoic Stoic]] JerkAss but still has a well-HiddenHeartOfGold, and is extremely well-loved by fangirls all around the world.
** Shen Woo is among the few that can rival these three in this. Another DarkSkinnedBlond? Check. A WalkingShirtlessScene with finely-sculpted abs that would give [[VideoGame/SengokuBasara Yukimura]] a run for his money? Check. Very handsome features? Check. His own share of bad boy attitude? Check. Quite a share of HoYay and FoeYay with Duo Lon and Ash, and arguably with Benimaru and Oswald as well? Check. Openly admits ''in canon'' that he [[InterplayOfSexAndViolence he likes his ladies wild and hot]]? ... Oh, my.
* The ''VideoGame/{{Suikoden}}'' games all have a pair of combination attacks ("Pretty Boy(s)" and "Fancy Lad(s)") where that game's collection of {{bishonen}} gang up to attack the enemy. Needless to say, there's usually at least one who qualifies for this trope.
** In ''VideoGame/SuikodenI'', Flik was a HotBlooded guy [[http://suikoden.wikia.com/wiki/File:Flik_s.gif with dorky hair]] who was very slow to forgive the hero for [[spoiler:Odessa's death]]. Come ''VideoGame/SuikodenII'', though, he turned into [[http://suikoden.wikia.com/wiki/File:Flik_SII.gif a grade-A bishonen]], stalwart ally, and ChickMagnet, with the above spoiler providing an appropriately tragic and sympathetic past.
** ''VideoGame/SuikodenTierkreis'' is unusually equal-opportunity in its {{fanservice}}, with a sizable portion of the male cast being {{Walking Shirtless Scene}}s. The most obvious is Asad the {{badass}}, HotBlooded, DarkSkinnedRedhead DoggedNiceGuy mage commander, but there are quite a few others.
* The ''VideoGame/DarkTales'' series gives this role to Poe's master detective C. Auguste Dupin. He's tall, well-built, and well-dressed, with bright blue eyes and a pleasant voice that always comments about how happy he is to see you.
* While very few of the male characters in ''VideoGame/MortalKombat'' [[WalkingShirtlessScene seem to be able to find a shirt]], Johnny Cage, with his literally constant bare-chestedness and passes at the ladies, seems to be the one intended to appeal to female players.
