''Kilala Princess'' is a {{Shojo}} Manga licensed by Creator/{{Disney}} and serialized by Creator/TokyoPop.

The basic plot is like ''Franchise/KingdomHearts'' for girls. A young girl, Kilala, has always dreamed of being like the Franchise/{{Disney Princess}}es. When she meets Prince Rei, who's looking for the Seventh Princess to save his kingdom, Kilala resolves to help him.

To do this, she travels to the lands of the Disney Princesses and works to save their lands from evil, collecting the magical gems that will save Paradiso in the process. But the Disney villains aren't the only ones Kilala has to watch out for...

!!This manga contains examples of:
* ArcVillain: The Disney villains are the villains of their respective stories.
* ArtShift: The Disney Princesses are draw closer to the Disney style, while Kilala and her friends are drawn in a regular manga style. Sometimes the change can be jarring. It's also ironic given how the whole big-eyed Anime look was [[OsamuTezuka based on early Disney cartoons]].
* ArtificialHuman / RidiculouslyHumanRobot: [[spoiler:Valdou.]]
* AttractiveBentGender: In the "Cinderella" world, Kilala asks the fairy godmother to temporarily turn her into a boy so she can get into the ball. She makes a pretty cute one, too.
* AscendedFangirl: [[spoiler: After admiring the Disney Princesses, Kilala joins their ranks.]]
* BareYourMidriff: Ariel, Jasmine, Kilala during the Little Mermaid arc, and Sylphy 98% of the time
* BigBad: [[spoiler: Valdou]].
* {{Bishonen}}: Prince Rei, and Valdou.
* BookOnTheHead: When Kilala is in Disney/{{Cinderella}}'s world, they are training together to have perfect manners; Cinderella and Kilala are once both seen with several books on the head.
* BreakingSpeech: Ursula, Maleficent, and [[spoiler:Valdou]] give these to Kilala at different points in the story.
* TheChosenOne: The Seventh Princess, aka [[spoiler:Kilala]].
* ClingyJealousGirl: Sylphy, but [[DefrostingIceQueen she gets better.]]
* CoolCrown: Kilala's tiny tiara.
* DangerouslyGenreSavvy: The non-Disney villains are this, attempting to shoot Erica while she's still under mind control, and ''successfully'' shooting Kilala as she reunites with Rei.
* DarkerAndEdgier: The last volume of the manga is noticeably darker than the rest of the series.
** The manga itself may count in regards to the movies they adapt, with depictions of blood when most of the movies had BloodlessCarnage.
* DeconstructedTrope: Being a princess isn't as easy as it looks; Kilala learns different things from each of them. In the final volume she struggles with the responsibilities of [[spoiler: running a country]], but decides [[spoiler: she will be a princess in her own, unique way, while keeping the lessons they taught]].
* DefrostingIceQueen: Sylphy.
* DisneyDeath: Kilala [[spoiler: and oddly enough, some of the Disney villains are subject to this (for example, Ursula gets caught in a blinding flash of light, but is shown moments later to have been just knocked out cold. Since this event happens before Ariel meets Prince Eric, Ursula's survival is really a ForegoneConclusion.)]]
* DistractedByTheSexy: Kilala and Sylphy use the trope to wow Gaston.
* [[DudeShesLikeInAComa Dude, He's Like, In A Coma!]] The first chapter, where Kilala kisses Rei while he's asleep.
* EarnYourHappyEnding
* EmpoweredBadassNormal: The tiara's magic helps Kilala deliver the finishing blow on villains, but everything else she does is with her own natural strength.
* EverythingsBetterWithPrincesses: Let's see...six Disney Princesses, the mysterious seventh, and Sylphy is a princess as well.
* FaceHeelTurn[=/=]HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler: Sylphy]].
* FanDisservice: Ursula's wedding dress.
* {{Fanservice}}: Kilala wearing a SeaShellBra and long skirt in the Little Mermaid arc, and Sylphy and Kilala dressing up as barmaids in the Beauty and the Beast arc.
* FantasticRacism: [[spoiler:Valdou and the rest of the RidiculouslyHumanRobots hate humans, considering themselves to be superior.]]
* AFateWorseThanDeath: The Queen prepares a poisoned apple that would make anyone who eats it so ugly no one would ever lay eyes on them again.
* {{Foil}}: Sylphy and Kilala contrast in every way. Kilala is young, compassionate, and modest, while Sylphy is haughty, rude, older, and sexy.
* ForegoneConclusion: Ariel's chapter takes place before she met Eric, so Ursula is just knocked out rather than killed.
* GenkiGirl: Kilala is full of energy.
* GottaCatchEmAll: The seven gems for the tiara.
* GracefulLoser / IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: [[spoiler: Sylphy in the end.]]
* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: [[spoiler: Valdou]] is sliced in half at the end.
* HeavySleeper: Rei is sleeping when Kilala first finds him. Out of curiosity, [[DudeShesLikeInAComa she kisses him]] and he wakes up... only to fall asleep again two seconds later.
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: [[spoiler:Sylphy]] seems good at first, but then turns out to be TheMole. She later switches sides again.
* HeroicSacrifice: Snow White tells the Queen that she will eat the apple to save Kilala.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: How the Queen goes out.
* JamesBondage: Rei is captured and knocked out quite a bit.
* MagicLand: Paradiso [[spoiler: is a subversion, as it's being torn apart by revolutionaries]].
* MagicalGirl: Kilala.
* TheMole: [[spoiler: Valdou and Sylphy.]]
* MsFanservice: Sylphy.
* ParentalAbandonment: Kilala's mother and father are in a [[MagicLand magical world called "Paradiso."]] Finding them is part of Kilala's motivation.
* PimpedOutDress: The princesses wear these, as does Kilala at times.
* ThePowerOfFriendship
* ThePowerOfLove: This helps Kilala defeat the Disney villains.
* PrincessesRule
* {{Recycled IN SPACE}}: Franchise/KingdomHearts for GIRLS!
* RedHerring: [[spoiler:Erica]] in regards to being the princess Rei is looking for.
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: Tippe the pink mouse thing.
* RidiculouslyHumanRobots: [[spoiler:The non-Disney villains and Valdou.]]
* TheRival: Sylphy.
* RivalTurnedEvil: Sylphy, [[spoiler: who then later becomes a Rival Turned Good.]]
* RomanticTwoGirlFriendship: Between Kilala and Erica, a bit.
* RoyalBrat: Sylphy
* SeaShellBra: Ariel, naturally, and Kilala wear one.
* ShadowDiscretionShot: The Wicked Queen [[spoiler: turning into a vulture]].
* {{Shojo}}
* SpoiledSweet: Rei is a male version, [[spoiler: [[LaserGuidedAmnesia the fact that he forgot he was a prince helps.]] Kilala is also one after her coronation.]]
* SugarBowl: The Princess worlds.
* TeleportSpam: The Wicked Queen does this.
* TenderTears: Kilala sheds these.
* TookALevelInBadass: The Wicked Queen wasn't much of a physical fighter in the ''Snow White'' movie, but in the manga she easily gashes Rei's arm and defeats him in combat.
* TheUnTwist: [[spoiler:Kilala is the princess Rei is looking for.]] Really, if you know anything about shoujo manga, it should be obvious.
* VillainTeamUp: In Aladdin's world, [[spoiler:Valdou]] teams up with Jafar.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Erica disappears from the story shortly after Ariel's world, though she does cameo in the last volume at [[spoiler: Kilala and Rei's wedding]].
* WhyDontYouJustShootHim: Averted; [[spoiler: Valdou]] shoots ''Kilala'' as she's about to reunite with Rei. Thanks to the Tiara's magic, and falling into Cinderella's world, she lives.
** They also try to shoot a mind-controlled Erica.
* WorldHealingWave: The Tiara's magic is used to restore Paradiso.
