-> ''Turn your howling libido into power!''
-> ''Healthy Robo Daimidaler!''

''Daimidaler the Sound Robot'' is a manga created by Asaki Nakama and first published by Enterbrain from 2008 to 2012. A sequel, ''Daimidaler the Sound Robot OGS'' was serialized from 2013 to 2016. An AnimatedAdaptation was created for the spring 2014 anime season.

The world is beset by the evil forces of the penguin empire (basically a bunch of perverted guys in penguin onsies) who continuously attack cities in giant mecha (also penguin shaped) in order to steal the power of High-Ero particles. It falls to perverted and HotBlooded highschooler Kōichi Madanbashi to fight the penguin empire with the help of Daimidaler, A SuperRobot that runs on DeusSexMachina (sort of).

Yeah... it MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext.

!!''Daimidaler the Sound Robot'' provides examples of:

* AffablyEvil: The Penguins. They are generally pretty mellow, but they do mind the collateral damage and they [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking will return your]] PornStash [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking to its hiding place]].
* BerserkButton: Matayoshi and Kakazu understandably lose their cool over Kiriko and Shouma displaying their affection.
* ChekhovsGun: The Penguin Empire's teleporter will randomly lose something belonging to a living being. [[spoiler: It saves Dennis' life after he was stung by a scorpion.]]
%%* CombiningMecha: [[spoiler:Daikenzen]]
* DeadpanSnarker: Matayoshi is prone to giving out snarky remarks, ''especially'' when it comes to Kiriko and Shouma's relationship.
* DecoyProtagonist:
** [[spoiler: Subverted with Kouichi at the end of volume 10]].
** The anime adds an ActionPrologue featuring Kiriko as the original pilot before getting replaced with Kōichi
* DeusSexMachina: Hi-Ero particles are made by a Factor's arousal.
* DestructiveSavior: Daimidaler is causing massive collateral damage during battle. And all exit points seem to be placed beneath buildings, parks and the like
--> "Run away before Daimidaler arrives"
* DidntThinkThisThrough: As Shouma found out, publicly displaying affection for your girlfriend with Hi-Ero particles in high school is ''not'' a good idea.
* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: Daimidaler has one huge muscular arm and one tiny stick like arm and, well, this ''is'' an Ecchi series
* DoubleEntendre:
** How Professor Sewashiko views any line anyone says.
** "The secret to fondling breasts is something you must grasp yourself."
* {{Ecchi}}: This series primarily uses groping breasts as an energy source. So yeah.
%%* {{Fanservice}}
* GetARoom: The way a lot of characters react to Kiriko and Shoma's public displays of affection.
* GratuitousEnglish: All the Penguin soldiers have names like Dennis and Michael. Ritz, who is from America, randomly says things in English.
%%* GreaterScopeVillain: [[spoiler:The Japanese Government]].
%%* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler:Kouichi saving Kyouko]].
* HumongousMecha: Daimidaler, as well as the penguin empire mechs.
* InsistentTerminology: It's a front tail, not a penis.
* KarmicTransformation: [[spoiler:Shouma gets transformed into a penguin, one of the enemies that he's fighting]].
* MakeOutKids: Kiriko and Shoma just can't keep their hands off from each other. It's understandably upsetting Matayoshi and Kakazu. The former get so pissed by it that he mentally wants then to die, the latter hates it because [[spoiler:it's ruining her promotion]].
* MeaningfulName: Daimidaler = 大淫ら = "Huge Slut" or "Great Slut".
* MidSeasonTwist: [[spoiler: Koichi's supposed death and Kyoko's capture in episode 6; episode 7 introduces two new characters, Kiriko and Shoma, who are the focus of the next few until Koichi and Kyoko return towards the end of the series.]]
* MuggleMageRomance: Shouma Ameku, a regular high school student, has feelings for Kiriko Kiyuna, a girl who has Hi-Ero particles.
* NoMoreLies: When Shouma gets captured by Ritz outside of the school grounds, Kiriko decides enough is enough and tells the truth about trying to keep her identity exposed. After that, she professes her love for Shouma.
* PlotTwist:
** [[spoiler:Episode 10 has Shouma turning into a penguin, Kyouko waking from her coma and Kouichi returning from the penguin dimension[[note]]the setting of the author's previous manga ''Mars Robo''[[/note]] in Daimidaler Type-2.]]
** [[spoiler: Episode 11 ends with the Japanese Military attacking Beauty Salon Prince's underground base in Type-3 Daimidalers.]]
** [[spoiler: Episode 12 has Ritz aiding both Daimidalers in their fight against the Military, Commander Six turns Shouma back into a human, and the Penguin Empire leaves Earth.]]
* PortalCut: The Penguin Empire's teleporter has the tendency to lose various things held by living beings (Memory, fluids, articles of clothing, etc).
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge:
** Kyouko is on one to avenge her traumatized father. And you don't hurt penguins in front of Ritz, she ''will'' make you pay for it.
** Kiriko goes on one after [[spoiler: Shouma becomes a penguin and leaves her for the empire.]]
* SuperRobot
* ShoutOut: Ritz's "Fiery Blast Penguin Thrust", to ''{{Anime/Daimos}}''' FinishingMove. A penguin even manages to insert a line from the latter's OP: "''Show them your karate skills!''"
* TakeThat: A dub only line from Ritz in Episode 7 is one to ''Film/ManOfSteel'' and it's depiction of Franchise/{{Superman}} as a DestructiveSavior.
-->'''Ritz:''' Unlike Superman, we'll take this fight to an abandoned area.
* TeacherStudentRomance: Chieko attempts to trick Shouma into breaking up with Kiriko by seducing him. It doesn't work.
* TechnoBabble: Some talk about using Chakra was made to justify the whole HumongousMecha thing.
* ThematicThemeTune: The opening, ''[[TitleThemeTune Healthy Robo Daimidaler]]'', in a deliberate throwback to hot-blooded 70's and 80's SuperRobot openings.
* VillainTeleportation: As of episode 8.
