{{Shiralee}}: Would Tessa from Grandia II count as a subversion? She gets a portrait and I thought based on interactions with her that Elena would be kidnapped and Tessa would be the one to join your party while the portraitless sisters would be killed or captured too. It's quite unfortunate I was wrong considering Elena is a Scrappy {{PuritySue}} to an incomprehensible degree. BARF. She even has a couple scenes where she gains [[TheWesley Wesleyian]] qualities. Overall I would say the storyline suffered greatly for it, she shoulda been an [[StaffChick Aeris]] instead. Worst. Game. Character. Ever.
