Gnatlet: Somehow I think that the "accordion lessons" scene from My Favorite Year belongs here, but I don't know which example. (Short version: Benji says he can teach the painfully humorless secretary he has a crush on to tell a joke, because otherwise the only other option is for her to take accordion lessons. He gives her a joke: A man walks into a psychiatrist's office with a duck on his head. The psychiatrist asks, "Can I help you?" The duck says, "Yeah, can you get this guy off my ass?" When she completely mangles the joke ("Yes, I need some help because... I have a duck on my head... and I need to take it off.") Benji slowly stands up, opens his wallet, and pulls out a bill. "What's that for?" she asks. "Accordion lessons," Benji says, deadpan.)

What's that part about German jokes? Can anyone give any examples? I'm from Germany and I can't think of any examples for such jokes, so I think maybe someone made up that claim...
