Sparrowhawk: I've noticed at least 2 different works (Disgaea 2 and MahouSenseiNegima) where a female ninja is also a SpoonSpeaker who uses the archaic-formal "de gozaru". Is this a recent development? A casual Google shows that this archaic phraseology is often associated with ninjas.

KendraKirai: Well, "De gozaru" is, as you said, archaic-formal...a ninja is (theoretically) all about ancient tradition and polite formality. Kind of like an Assassin from the Discworld. Things are done because that's just how it's done, and if you aren't polite about things, you're just a murderer.

Boobah: In ''Persona 2'' there's a girl who complains that she doesn't speak 'like a ninja,' but apparently does something similar to the above because there's a rumor she does, and in that game rumors become true.

GamerFromJump: Should {{Kunoichi}}/FemaleNinja be its own trope? They tend to have their own associations sufficient to distinguish them from the male {{ninja}}.
