FastEddie: Fear ''of'' new media. Certainly a trope. Records were to kill off live music, movies were to decimate theatre, radio would kill records, as would eight-tracks, cassettes, and the iPod. All while television had all the rest of it on the run... until cable, TiVo and MySpace destroyed all life on Earth. I'd go with MediaPhobia, in NewMedia.
