SciVo: Since it isn't immediately obvious, I figured that I'd present my reasoning that just a couple professions have a special relationship with money. In many countries, "[[PrettyWoman sex with consenting adults]]" and "favors from public officials" automagically become illegal when money (or blood ties) are involved. As for HiredGuns, payment is frequently a significant plot point ("How much is he paying you?") since they're independent contractors -- sometimes even doing speculative work for just the promise of a cut.
