{{Mabus}} is a fan of many varieties of science fiction and fantasy with an encyclopedic (though not photographic) memory. As such, he has added multiple examples to many tropes. So far the only trope he's actually launched is

{{Mabus}} is very nearly immune to ShapeshiftingSquick, BodyHorror, and many forms of NightmareFuel, being something of a NightmareFetishist. If it creeps him out, everyone else should run! Note: recently averted with {{Dollhouse}}. Mabus, while still having a MindControl fetish, now experiences {{Squick}} from it as well. He's still trying to work this out.

He is a prolific author of [[BuffyTheVampireSlayer Buffyverse]] fanfiction, including his megascale unfinished project ''[[http://mabus101.livejournal.com/33416.html#cutid2 DeadWar]]''. He's also contributed examples from (notably) StarWars, StarTrek, and the works of StephenKing, StephenBaxter, and AlastairReynolds.
