SusanDavis: Is Mousse a "villain?" ''[[RanmaOneHalf Ranma 1/2]]'' didn't usually have "heroes" and "villains", and in those places where it did (external threats such as in TheMovie), Mousse was consistently portrayed as part of the main cast ''{{nakama}}'' group.
LooneyToons: Hm. Of all the core cast, he's the only one who routinely uses edged weapons against Ranma, and he's more than willing to take hostages and subject them to danger as a way of getting Ranma to fight him. IMHO he's a bit more of a lunatic than the average cast member (but that's not saying much), and unlike, say, Ryoga, he never settles down into a tacit friendship -- Ranma is ''always'' a target as far as he's concerned, and it's only Cologne (or Shampoo) that keeps him in check most of the time. He's only slightly more sociable than Pantyhose Tarou or Herb, who are definitely both "enemies"...
MorganWick: Could someone condense my recent addition to a less rambling size?
GuesssWho: AntiHero references JohnnyTheHomicidalManiac as this, but that's not quite true: he's more of a villain with a point. Where is that? Edit: okay, changed it.
ManWithoutABody: I move that we change the picture to one of Peter Lorre in ''The Maltese Falcon''. Firstly, because it's way more iconic and better known, and secondly, because Peter Lorre looks more ineffectual, sympathetic, and villainous than this bearded astronaut gentleman. (Later) Seeing no objection, I'm going to do make the change. If anyone objects, please discuss it here. Here's the code for the Gundam picture, in case we decide to bring it back: [= [[{{Gundam00}} http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wt_patrick.jpg]]

FastEddie: Good call.

{{whitetigah}}: Pulled the latest addition -- it's simply not true that in RealLife the fascists were ineffectual and / or sympathetic, though they are often portrayed that way in media. If that was what Sabre_Justice meant it could have used a better explaination.
{{Jordan}}: It does seem common in works which already have ThoseWackyNazis for Italian characters to be even more ridiculous but also ineffectual- see AlloAllo, TheThreeStooges, and TheGreatDictator... still, I'd hesitate to add Italian Fascists as an example.

TheAdversary: I shall remove Tai Lung from Kung-Fu Panda; as his example was just pure, unadultered DracoInLeatherPants and he is nowhere near as pathetic as Po.
----
{{Madrugada}} I'll grant that Peter Lorre is ineffectual and sympathetic in Maltese Falcon, but in ''M''? Not hardly, at least not to me.

CountDorku: Uh, guys, your page image seems to have broken...
Mr. Grieves: Yeah, are we like, the only ones to notice? I put a link to a picture of Joel Cairo where the picture used to be as a placeholder, but could someone please help us out?
