"Of course, as it turned out, branching movies and even multiple camera angles ended up a feature utilized almost exclusively by pornography)."
LooneyToons: As is almost every technical innovation in the media field, at least at first. Give it a few years, it may yet come back to more mainstream genres.
SevenSeals: You know, that could almost be a meta-trope: TheInternetIsForPorn. :-)
LooneyToons: Do we set up a flash video of a couple of muppets singing the entry, then?
{{Tabby}}: Only if it also includes Steve's porn rant from the first season of ''{{Coupling}}''.
Flo: I take offense at that part: "... since the computer-generated characters and sequences are of lower quality than one can achieve on the typical PC of today using only free software such as DAZ|Studio, POV-Ray and Blender." Both Blender and POV-Ray are high-quality tools and are at least comparable to Maya. (And POV-Ray is not as good as RenderMan, but one of the best renderers.)
RedShoe: There's nothing deprecating about the statement, the whole ''point'' is that the free tools available today can do better than the best tools money could buy in '88.
