[[http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/discussion.php?id=imo58r27&trope=BeautifulAllAlong From YKTTW]]
Should this one be merged with HollywoodHomely? It seems to be the same trope, and carries many of the same examples.
I'd say leave them split because some HollywoodHomely examples don't get pretty with a makeover. Just maybe clarify that BeautifulAllAlong differs from HollywoodHomely in such cases.
----
*Subverted in ''AvatarTheLastAirbender'': Katara and Toph, while in Ba Sing Se were in makeup twice. The makeup was so very overdone that the girls looked like clowns or dolls compared to other females in the city. Toph insists that because she's blind, she doesn't care what she looks like, but is still gratified to hear Katara tell her she's pretty. (Katara appeared as "The Painted Lady" in season 3, and her makeup was much less overdone, despite the fact that she was supposed to be painted.) Azula, on the other hand, is never seen ''without'' makeup.
** Except when Zuko awakens her from a sound sleep to demand to know what she's planning. This troper thinks she was much prettier without her makeup and with her hair loosely tied up.
** As does ThisTroper, which makes him glad that she usually wears the stuff. Being attracted to Azula doesn't strike him as particularly helpful.
***Especialy with her being completly evil
{{Lale}}: None of this has ''anything'' to do with a plot where a character previously considered to be unattractive suddenly reveals they can beautiful. All 3 girls have always been considered [[FanService attractive]] by members of our universe or their own or both.

DaibhidC: Pulled this.
* Subverted to hell with dwarven and trollish women on the {{Discworld}}.
I'm all for getting Discworld examples on as many pages as possible, but women who have foot-long beards or are made of rock are clearly NotASubversion of being BeautifulAllAlong.
