Boxers, briefs, [[BreadEggsBreadedEggs boxer briefs]], bras, panties, corsets, garters, stockings, socks, and other forms of underwear. In more prudish times, these were known as "unmentionables". This also made them ForbiddenFruit, and thus the subject of numerous tropes. Needless to say, many of them are no longer ''literally'' unmentionable.

Now while a lot of these can be {{Fanservice}}, just as many can be PlayedForLaughs too.

* PantsPullingPrank: A prank where you pull down someone's pants to expose their underwear (though some versions might have the underpants pulled down with the pants).
* PantyFighter: Any series in which nubile young women engage in martial arts, frequently involving flashing their underwear.
* PantyShot: A gratuitous exposure of a female character's panties.
* PantyThief: A character who steals women's underwear.
* ParachutePetticoat: A falling woman has her skirt function like a parachute, which will inevitably expose her undergarments.
