The Harmon Verse is a series of stories that are connected to the television series Series/Glee, involving the character of Jack Harmon and those associated with him. The universe was created by SoullessWarlock on [=FanFiction.Net=] in the summer of 2010 and has grown to include numerous original characters from different fanfics and writers on the site.

The series is mainly a a comedy, but often has some serious moments as well.

!!! Tropes associated with TheHarmonVerse

* Adorkable: Almost all of the OCs in the HarmonVerse have their moments.
** Examples:
*** Jack and his love of Barry Manilow and all around closet geekiness
*** Mitchell in general
*** Michelle and her love of Ezio Auditore da Firenze
*** Dylan and his love of Mickie James
*** Daniel and his open nerdiness. He becomes friends with Artie through referencing Firefly, and Gone Rampant has said that Daniel goes to conventions like ComicCon as a cosplayer for the kicks.
*** Ridley and her almost-encyclopediac knowledge of the works of JossWhedon.
* BreakingTheFourthWall: Where do we start...
* CodeName: Jack has a tenedancy to give most of his friends and associates nicknames, but has given most of the OCs code names derived from the nursurey rhyme Tinker, Tailor and as an allusion to TinkerTailorSoldierSpy.
* DeadpanSnarker: Quite a few characters (Sue, Jack, Puck, pretty much everyone who's a snarker in Glee itself), but this is Daniel's defining character trait.
** Meta-Fictional: All of the writers in this universe are this to some degree.
* DependingOnTheWriter: In the hands of Soulless Warlock and Gone Rampant, the HarmonVerse takes on a more surreal and absurd turn while Cola-Flavoured-Sherbert and ZeroBen's interpretation of it are more realistic...Well, as realistic as a universe centered around Glee can be. The character portrayals are pretty consistent, however.
* DestinationDefenestration: Jack and Daniel have both been thrown out of and through windows - and this was before they even got to Sectionals.
* DidYouJustFlipOffCthulhu: The end result of pissing Jack off. He also tends to do this a lot does Daniel.
* DysfunctionalFamily: Despite their rather heartwarming moments, the Harmon family is this in spades. seems to be a part of one as well. The Mayhew family also pretty much embodies this trope.
* FamilyBusiness: HarmCo is a great example of this trope.
* GenderBender: One for most of the Glee characters in an AlternateUniverse chapter of Pack. Turns out to only be a semi-version, as Soulless Warlock said in a private message that characters like Burt and Carole are still the same.
* HappilyMarried: The older couples tend to have this.
** Kristopher Harmon and Lisa Puckerman. Despite both of them going through bitter divorces years earlier and a 17-year age gap, the two are pretty happy together.
** Dylan's parents, Matthew and Dawn Armstrong. Until .
** There's no idication that Daniel's parents were unhappily married before .
*** Gone Rampant confirmed they were happily married.
** Mitchell's parents seem to be reasonably happy.
** Ridley's foster parents, Craig and Erica Robinson, are very happy together. It is also implied that Ridley's mother and stepfather, Elise and Byron, were happily married
* HeroOfAnotherStory: Jack, Mitchell, Dylan and Daniel to each other - while they all show up in See It My Way, A Different Point Of View, He's Alive/Through Our Eyes and Recap, they're all lesser characters in those works outside of their own.
* HypotheticalCasting: Generally, actors are chosen from Broadway shows or talent competitions - so far, Aaron Tveit. Jonathan B Wright, Neil Haskell, John Gallagher Jr, Music/ArianaGrande, VanessaHudgens, and NathanFillion have been cast in the series.
* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: Happens quite a bit, Michelle with Mitchell, Daniel with Rachel, Jack with Rachel, and Dylan and Brittany .
* ImagineSpot: Happens quite a bit, mostly in the form of flashbacks, but there have been several traditional uses of this trope (As with Glee itself, "Brittany/Britney" contains a good amount of it).
* IfItsYouItsOkay: Played straight (no pun intended) with at some point in season three. Though it's more than likely is experimenting
* KickTheDog: Happens quite a few times in both TheHarmonVerse canon and non-canon.
* LoveDodecahedron
* AManIsNotAVirgin: Played straight in most part, Jack, Daniel and Dylan are definately not, it's implied that Alex, Ethan and Trevor are not, leaving Mitchell as the odd man out.
* MeetCute: Although they didn't meet that way, Mitchell and Michelle have tendency to collide, trip and fall in each other's prescene.
* MoralityPet
** Kristopher, Rachel, Kurt and later for Jack
** Mitchell for Quinn
** Rachel and his Uncle Joshua for Daniel
** Jack for Ridley
* OddFriendship: Jack and just about anyone he is friends with that isn't Rachel. He is selfish, rude, and mildly demented, but he always comes through in the end.
* RememberTheNewGuy: Averted and possibly subverted. Considering that the whole deal with the glee club is taking in talent, it allows for the new characters to jump into the story at any given interval.
* SelfDeprecation: Most of the OC's have moments where they take shots at themselves, and the authors also do this in the notes.
* ShoutOut: Jack's behaviour, clothing style and personality sometimes mirror Sheldon from TheBigBangTheory, Sterling Archer from Archer, Pierce from Series/Community and Barney from Series/HowIMetYourMother.
** Daniel takes visual cues from Angel and has a deadpan behaviour similar to Sherlock in the BBC 2010 remake.
* SpinOff: Red Vs Glee, which focuses on stories in the RedVsBlue universe.
* StalkerWithACrush: Daniel and, on occassion, Jack and Mitchell. Though this is mostly PlayedForLaughs.
* TheStationsOfTheCanon: There are some divergences from canon with the relationships, but the main arcs are mostly faithful to the show.
* TallDarkAndSnarky: Jack and Daniel. Sue and Puck are this as well.
* TrueCompanions: The entire Glee club, whether they be canon or fanon, exemplify this trope.
* UnsympatheticComedyProtagonist: Jack and Daniel's primary function.
* WorldOfSnark: It's Glee. Everyone's had a shot at it one time or another.

!! Jack Harmon (Created by Soulless Warlock)

The eponymous character in the universe and the protagonist of the See It My Way series, which covers the first three seasons of the show. He can best be described as Jesse St. James on steroids and wants nothing more than to become a star of stage and screen. He is talented, but arrogant as hell and is not afraid to tell the members of New Directions what he is thinking at all times.

* TheAce: Taken to riduclous extremes
* ActuallyADoombot: A Running Gag in TheHarmonVerse. See below for more.
* AmbiguouslyBi: See ReallyGetsAround for more details. This gains more merit when you realise that Jack has never stated why he wants to kiss everyone on the "Gliss List"...
* AmbitionIsEvil: Played with as Jack's ambitions and ends are not evil, merely a matter of how he achieves them that can be questioned.
* AnythingThatMoves: Implied. Ties into AmbiguouslyBi.
* AcquiredPoisonImmunity: Once stated that after all the chemicals he's been exposed to, Jack is incapable of either getting sick or being poisoned.
* AttentionDeficitOohShiny: Jack has a tendency to become distracted by either the thoughts in his head or by whatever it is that is holding his interest, sometimes at the detriment of those around him.
* AttentionWhore
* BadassNormal
* BadassInANiceSuit: His basic clothes in Seasons 1 and 2 were this, and he has some nice ones for Season 3.
* CampStraight: He's called Rachel Berry with a Five O'Clock shadow for a reason.
* TheCasanova: There's a reason he can get anything that moves
* ComedicSociopath
* CovertPervert
* CrazyPrepared: He calls himself the master of the elaborate setup for a reason.
* DeadpanSnarker
* DrillSergeantNasty: In Red Vs Glee.
* EthicalSlut: He may sleep around but he makes it a point not to sleep with people who are in relationships.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Makes it quite clear that he won't prank Quinn while she's pregnant.
* FaceHeelTurn and HeelFaceTurn: Does this little two-step at least once in a story.
* GeniusDitz: He's remarkably intelligent, but his arrogance, paranoia and possible Austim make him come off as an idiot.
* HandsomeDevil
* HiddenDepths: There are reasons why he acts certain ways, we just haven't seen them yet.
* HollywoodDateless: Deconstructed in various stories
* InnerMonologue: More like a inner dialogue, but you work with what you got.
* ItsAllAboutMe
* Jerkass: Guilty as charged.
** JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Despite his carefully constructed veener that makes him come off as selfish, abrasive, and Pride arrogant, Jack actually cares about the glee club, its members and it's success
* KnightInSourArmour: He complains anything that isn't good for him.
* LargeHam: When he's not the stoic
** The expression JACK HARMON UNDERSTUDIES FOR NO MAN comes to mind.
* LonelyRichKid: Subverted. His pride keeps him from interacting with others despite the fact that he has friends.
* MissingMom: A major arc in Season Two
* NayTheist
* NeverMyFault: Played with as Jack will admit to situations being his fault to himself and Rachel, but will never admit to the situation to anyone else. It's part of his character arc for him to admit to such transgressions to his other friends.
* NonIdleRich: Could become a star based on his family's bankbook alone, but chooses not to.
* NotSoStoic: Happens during Seasons Three a lot
* OriginalCharacter
* PoliticallyIncorrectHero
* ReallyGetsAround: To the point that one of his goals is to kiss every member of the Glee Club before he graduates. Regardless of gender. He's been with more people offscreen then Brittany and Santana combined.
* RunningGag: Several. This includes:
** His declining mental state.
** Being a robot.
** His skills, which range from multiple combat skills, breaking and entering, and in the words of Gone Rampant: "Every now and then, Jack needs to get somewhere in a hurry, so he channels Steve McQueen, circa Bullet".
** Him giving nicknames to nearly every character in Glee, with the exception of Mr. Schuester and the rest of the adult characters on the show.
** Him being a light sleeper.
** His ability to read minds, which he claims not to have.
* ScrewTheRulesIHaveMoney: Basically the street where he lives
* ScrewTheRulesIHaveConnections
* SharpDressedMan: He wears a suit at almost all the time
* SophisticatedAsHell: He has a great command of the English language but sometimes he rubs his victory over people in the most immature ways.
* TheStoic: Sam has said he had "mad Vulcan skills"
* ThirdPersonPerson: Slips into this on occassion.
* UndyingLoyalty: His relationships with Rachel, Kurt and his father exemplify this trope.
** Best stated by SoullessWarlock in conversation with a friend. "Once Jack is your friend, he's your friend."
* VillainProtagonist: Could be considered this on some level
* VitriolicBestBuds
* WhatTheHellHero: Frequently guilty of these sorts of actions
* YouNeedToGetLaid: Played with as not getting laid is not the reason he's a pain in the ass nor is the fact that he has gotten laid makes him such, he's just that way naturally.

!! Mitchell Mason (Created by ZeroBen)
* Adorkable: While every one of the OCs have these moments, Mitchell deserves a special mention just for being himself.
* AlliterativeName: His full name is Mitchell Marcus Mason
* AttentionDeficitOohShiny: He may not suffer from ADD or ADHD, but this guy gets distracted at the worst possible times.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: The Sectionals chapter of A Different Point of View, Part One is a great example of this.
* DoggedNiceGuy
* OriginalCharacter
* RelationshipUpgrade: His relationship with gets one of these at the end of A Different Point of View, Part I and continues into the sequel.
* RunningGag: He tends to space out a lot and miss things and him and Michelle always seem to fall over whenever they're in each other's presence.

!! Dylan Armstrong (Created by Cola Flavoured Sherbet)
* BerserkButton
* MrFanservice: In-universe example
* FaceHeelTurn: Takes place in
* LovableJock: A soccer player yet stands up to the jocks multiple times.
* OnlySaneMan: Of all the OCs, Dylan is easily the sanest and most logical.
* OriginalCharacter
* RelationshipUpgrade: His relationship with gets one of these in Through Our Eyes
* TheBGrade
* : Seems to be his greatest flaw.

!! Daniel Lawson (Created by Gone Rampant; adopted by Soulless Warlock)

* BatmanGambit: Uses one in A Different Point Of View Part 2's version of The Substitute to join the Glee Club.

* DeadpanSnarker: Lives and breaths this trope. He also believes he is the only sane man, and that he is surrounded by idiots.
* FirstPersonSmartass: His thought train.
* InnerMonologue: Says more in his head then he does out loud.
* Jerkass: Just as bad as Jack and Understatement and that's saying something
* Reboot: The character was adopted by Soulless Warlock after Gone Rampant left the fandom and will undergo a couple of changes while attempting to remain true to the characterization of the past.

!! Jennifer "Jenn" McGraw (Created by Cola Flavoured Sherbet)
* Adorkable: Well, she is played by Music/ArianaGrande...

*
* ActorAllusion: This isn't the first time VanessaHudgens has worked with Aaron RENT Tveit...
* AttentionDeficitOohShiny: Averted. Suffers from it, but it is portrayed in a realistic manner.
* CuteClumsyGirl: Lord almighty, is she ever.
* OriginalCharacter
* RunningGag: Her clumsy nature.
* TheOtherDarrin: Goes from Avril Lavigne, to Lindsay Pierce to VanessaHudgens.

!! Trevor Rayburn (Created by Soulless Warlock)
* DeepSouth: Tries to hide his thick Southern drawl, but it comes out every now and then
* OriginalCharacter
* TheRival: He is Jack's rival from grade school.
* RunningGag: Whenever he loses his temper, he speaks in a thick Southern drawl.
* SouthernGentleman: Despite growing up in the North, his mother's influence on him is fairly obvious in his demeanor and the way he carries himself.

!! Ridley Mayhew (Created by 100YardDash)

* ActorAllusion: Once upon a time, AaronTveit had a recurring role in a little show that starred Taylor Momsen.
* AffectionatePickpocket: She pulled this trick on the New York Crew (sans Jack) when she officially met them. However, .
* BadassBookworm: Despite how she appears, Ridley is extremely well-read and is a proficient judoist.
* BerserkButton: God help you if you make a blonde joke or say anything nasty about Ridley's loved ones in her presence.
* DisappearedDad: A major plot arc for her in Season Five.
* OriginalCharacter
* PerkyGoth
* RunningGag: There are a handful of them, which include...
** Many people seem to think that her name is Ripley or Rigby. One person even thought her name was Rugby.
** She's not allowed to leave Rachel and Kurt's loft or Jack's penthouse without emptying her pockets first.
* StickyFingers: When she's stressed, Ridley will steal useless objects from people (mostly shiny things like keys but she's also been known to swipe pens or paper clips).

!! Kristopher Harmon (Created by SoullessWarlock)
* AbsentMindedProfessor
* AffablyEvil: Implied. He is charming to everyone of Jack's friends, but no sane or decent human being would allow for half of HarmCo's experiments.
* DeadpanSnarker: Jack gets it from him
* MadScientist
* NonIdleRich
* OpenMindedParent
* OriginalCharacter
* OverprotectiveDad: He has a bodyguard follow Jack everywhere he goes
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Before Ron Raines was cast in the role, Kristopher could've been played by Rick Moranis, Peter Gallagher, and Micheal Flashdance Nouri.

!! Dr. Latham
* OriginalCharacter
* TheShrink: The benevolent kind

!! Elise Mayhew (Created by 100YardDash)

* EvilMatriarch: The fact that she's a highly-respected criminal notwithstanding, Elise has no problem using the people in her life (including her daughter) if the ends justify the means.
* MyBelovedSmother: She desperately wants Ridley to follow in her footsteps and become a thief worthy of the history books. She's also in complete denial over the fact that her daughter is trying to reform and become legitimate.
* MrsRobinson: Ever since her first appearance, she unabashedly flirted with Jack and .
* OriginalCharacter
* ReallyGetsAround: Her sexual history is surprisingly extensive. Really, it's no wonder that .
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Before Heather Locklear was cast as Elise, two front runners for the character were Kelly Rutherford and Jennie Garth.
