->''[[Manga/{{Hellsing}} Releasing control art restrictions level 3. Level 2. Level 1. The Cromwell approval is now in effect. Hold release until target is silenced. Now... I WILL SHOW YOU HOW THE ''REAL'' JOJI NAKATA DOES BATTLE!!!]]''
''[[VisualNovel/FateStayNight Rejoice, troper. Joji Nakata will be described here.]]''
The other (and newer) go-to guy for deep voiced villains. Joji Nakata, often called ''[[GratuitousEnglish George]]'' Nakata, is a man gifted with a [[EvilSoundsDeep deep, astringent voice]], which lands him veteran roles. And, as we mentioned, villains. In fact, he has become so known for it that it is often easy to identify a person as evil just ''because'' [[PigeonholedVoiceActor Joji Nakata is voicing him.]] If he is playing heroes, you can be sure that the hero is either old, or at least an AntiHero. Either way, they also tend to hold mentor roles for other characters because his voice also lends itself well to exposition, explanations and {{Hannibal Lecture}}s.
He first made himself known in the English language fandom as [[Manga/{{Hellsing}} Alucard]], but wasn't quite prominent as the character's English language actor, Creator/CrispinFreeman. It wasn't until later when he became quite prominent on his own.
----
!!Notable roles by Joji Nakata:
* Alucard in ''Manga/{{Hellsing}}'' (Type V AntiHero/outright VillainProtagonist[=/=]ByronicHero/[[AlternateCharacterInterpretation whatever you want to view in him]].)
* Corporal Giroro in ''Manga/KeroroGunsou'' (OnlySaneMan.)
** Notably [[ThrowItIn ad-libbed a ''300'' reference into one episode]], regarding which see below.
* Sol Badguy in ''VideoGame/GuiltyGear 2 Overture and Accent Core+ and [=Xrd=] -SIGN-'' (including Holy Order-Sol. AntiHero.)
* Edmond "The Count of Monte Cristo" Dantes in ''Anime/{{Gankutsuou}}'' (ByronicHero par excellence.)
* Goodman in ''VideoGame/NeoGeoBattleColiseum'' (Villain.)

** Kirei Kotomine in ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'' and ''LightNovel/FateZero'' (Villain in the former, had his StartOfDarkness in the latter.)
** Nrvnsqr "Nero" Chaos in ''VideoGame/MeltyBlood'' (Villain.)
** Souren Araya in ''LightNovel/KaraNoKyoukai'' (Villain.)
** Neko-Arc Chaos in ''VideoGame/MeltyBlood'' (Parody of Nrvnsqr Chaos, LethalJokeCharacter)
*** The crossover manga ''All Around Type-Moon'' makes Nakata the manager of the cafe the crossover is set in. "George" is apparently able to channel the spirits of all three villains, and everybody is terrified of him.
* Van Grants in ''VideoGame/TalesOfTheAbyss'' (Mentor. [[spoiler:Also, villain.]])
* Diethard Reid in ''Anime/CodeGeass'' (Villain''ous''.)
* Uesugi Kenshin (On the opposing side of the force that has the poster boy (Yukimura), overall, kinda of an AntiHero) & TokugawaIeyasu (Actually good, but used to be a SmugSnake, is the poster boy's final archenemy, and so many wants a piece of him in the second game) in ''VIdeoGame/SamuraiWarriors''
* Leonidas (GerardButler) in the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPjffXLJ2sM Japanese dub]] of ''[[Film/ThreeHundred 300]]'' ('''[[PunctuatedForEmphasis THIS IS! SPARTA'S STYLE!!]]''', he then corrected it later in ''Manga/KeroroGunsou'')
* Algol in ''[[VideoGame/SoulSeries Soulcalibur IV]]'' (Antagonistic. More BloodKnight than villain.)
* Several villain roles in ''Franchise/SuperSentai''. To wit: [[ChoushinseiFlashman Sir Cowler]], [[ChoujuuSentaiLiveman Grand Professor Bias]], and a MonsterOfTheWeek in ''Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger'' that is an ActorAllusion to Bias. (Villains.)
* {{Dracula}} in ''VideoGame/CastlevaniaJudgment'' (One of the only cases where NorioWakamoto did not voice Dracula. Also, Villain.)
* Kageyama in ''Manga/BlackLagoon'' (Villain.)
* Bandou in ''Manga/ElfenLied''. (Villain/ Type V AntiHero.)

* Baki in ''Manga/{{Naruto}}''. (Antagonistic. [[spoiler:He gets better, as a TeamDad to the former resident WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds.]])
* James "Jack" Bukhar in ''Anime/SentouYouseiYukikaze'' (A complete anomaly in Nakata's resumé, as he's not only a thoroughly positive character, but at 34-36 he's quite young as well.)
* Roy Revant in ''Anime/SoltyRei'' (Protagonist... WHA? Still an AntiHero, though.)
* Gouto in the ''[[RaidouKuzunohaVsTheSoullessArmy Raidou Kuzunoha]]'' Drama CD (Non-villain mentor.)
* Jin the Taxi driver in ''Anime/{{Canaan}}''. (HeroicBystander.)
** That was a {{Nasuverse}} work where he ''wasn't'' a villain! [[note]]Well, that's debatable, check the Nasuverse page.[[/note]]
* MPU in ''Anime/CowboyBebop''. ([[AIIsACrapshoot Renegade AI]]. Episode antagonist. [[spoiler:Completely non-malicious, and surprisingly chipper on top of it.]])

* Soichiro Takagi in ''Manga/HighschoolOfTheDead'' (Extremely scary japanese [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uyoku_dantai right-winger]], though this is mostly glossed over in the anime. Non-villain.)
* Luxord in ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsII'' (Villain.)
* The narrator/voice of the Birth Driver of ''KamenRiderOOO'' (Disembodied voice with no affiliation beyond episode recaps.)
* The AcePilot Joshua O'Brien in ''VideoGame/ArmoredCore 4''. (Heroic example [[spoiler: except in the end, when he becomes a TragicMonster]].)
