Hirohiko Araki (born Toshiyuki Araki), is the legendary manga-ka behind ''Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure'', one of the longest-running manga series ever, running continuously from 1987 to date. He is well-known for his distinctive (read: FABULOUS!) art style, incredibly clever fights, use of strange character poses, and the fact [[http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/343/315/b9c.jpg he never ages]]. He's also [[http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/symmetricalaraki.jpg almost perfectly symmetrical]].

!!Tropes common in Araki's works beyond JJBA:
* AnyoneCanDie: To the point where he commonly crosses into WeHaveReserves territory.
* CloudCuckoolander
* CostumePorn: Even for historical figures!
* {{Gonk}}: Especially short fat people.
* KickTheDog: Almost literally, evil is frequently shown as something that likes to kill dogs or other animals.
* OlderThanTheyLook: He was born in 1960. There's a reason why fans think that Araki is immortal.
* WeHaveReserves: This seems to be an intergral part of his writing style. No shonen mangaka has killed off as many characters as him.
