->'''James''': "Actually, that's not the worst bit about those six-seater cars because it could be worse if you had your wife in the front ''and'' ''both'' daughters - and ''you'' sat in the back."
->'''Jeremy''': "Ugh."
->'''James''': "No, but, you do see that occasionally. You see the mother in the front, and then... and then, *cringing* there's a bloke sitting in the back seat and-"
->'''Jeremy''': "And there's ''nothing'' more tragic!"
->'''Richard''': "Yeah, it's pathetic."
->'''Jeremy''': "It is ''the'' most pitiable sight you can see."
->'''James''': "She's effectively saying '[[FreudWasRight you've given me the baby, now get in the back]]'."
->'''Richard''': "Yep."

Any situation which is made, sometimes for comic effect, sometimes for dramatic effect, to look like another situation -- not in the sense that it is [[NotWhatItLooksLike mistaken for that other situation]] by any of the characters, just in the sense that we the audience see the resemblance. The characters do not.

This sort of situation can lead to a MistakenForIndex plot if some other character hears it out of context.

Alternatively it can refer to an [[CaptainErsatz ersatz]] of something more familiar that the audience would immediately recognize in subtext in order to make it look less {{Anvilicious}}. Doesn't always succeed in fulfilling the latter. Doesn't always have to mean anything sexual.

If unintentionally done: LooksLikeSheIsEnjoyingIt

If you see "it" everywhere: FreudWasRight

If it was done in a work meant for children: GettingCrapPastTheRadar

Similar to InnocentInnuendo / VisualInnuendo in that each of these trope attempts to draw suggestive ideas from the audience; however InnocentInnuendo / VisualInnuendo attempt to trick the audience into thinking the situation is different from what it really is, whereas this trope is upfront about the situation and merely draws parallels to those suggestive ideas.
