->'''Ned:''' Missy, we need to talk. I've found someone else.\\
'''Missy:''' You're so cute when you say things that you know will get you and whoever you're talking about ''seriously injured''.
--> -- ''Series/NedsDeclassifiedSchoolSurvivalGuide''

She's often cute, sometimes to the [[{{Kawaiiko}} point of twee]]. She's affectionate, too but she also has [[TheGlomp a grip like a hydraulic press]], and seems to want to be an article of clothing wrapped around the body of the guy she likes. Woe to him if he so much as [[GreenEyedMonster looks at another girl]] (or if another girl looks at ''him''), for she's usually armed with an ArmorPiercingSlap, a MegatonPunch or a HyperspaceMallet, and she's willing to use it on him whether he invited the attention or not. She's the Clingy Jealous Girl, and she can be anywhere on the spectrum from a [[MadLove fondly-regarded nuisance]] to a [[StalkerWithACrush psycho stalker]].

If she's a {{Yandere}}, she'll snap and try to MurderTheHypotenuse at least once. Especially IfICantHaveYou. If she's a {{Tsundere}} instead, her violence towards the male lead will be a RunningGag. If she has a SugarAndIcePersonality, she'll be more prone to snide comments and verbal violence than open clinginess. Depending on how [[AllTakeAndNoGive possessive]] she is, their "boyfriend's" [[FriendVersusLover friends will also be targeted.]]

Expect her to be the victim of ''lots'' of fan bashing for [[DieForOurShip getting in between The Protagonist and his True Love]], even if she actually loses. If she ''does'' manage to start a relationship with her object of affections, it will range anywhere from annoying gushing, AllTakeAndNoGive, or even {{Love Martyr}}dom.

In FanFiction, she is often what the RelationshipSue turns out to be in the end. Also, if a MarySue appears and snatches the love interest's attention away, the possible love rivals will become Clingy Jealous Girls to make her look better than she really is.

Her SpearCounterpart is the CrazyJealousGuy.

[[folder:Anime & Manga]]
* Reilan from ''Manga/HaouAiren''.
* Sayaka from ''MazingerZ'' fell into this trope whenever a beautiful girl started hanging around Kouji: Hitomi, Erika, Misato... The most egregious example, though, is "Minerva X", a Sentient Mecha that loves Mazinger Z and is openly jealous of Sayaka's Aphrodite A.
* Momoka from ''KeroroGunso'' fits this trope perfectly. She makes a satellite to spy on Fuyuki's time in the manga, pretends to drown just to get a kiss from him, and ''buys an island and builds a hotel'' just to get closer to him. Granted, these are more like [[ThePlan typical gambits]] to get closer to him dialed up to UpToEleven levels due to her money, but add to that her subconscious Anti!Momoka who gets jealous of ''everyone'' around Fuyuki - including his sister - and she definitely falls under this trope.
** Tamama fits this just as much as Momoka does, if not more.
* Shirley Fenette from ''Anime/CodeGeass''. Too sweet a character to entirely fit this trope: she's more anxiously fretful than jealously clingy — although she does get irked at Lelouch when he hangs up on her. (In his defense, he's usually hanging up on her because his life is in jeopardy at the time. Not that she'd have any way of knowing that.) Nevertheless, she spends an extraordinary amount of her time and energy worrying about him, much of it specifically wondering if he likes some other girl more than her. In the aftermath of the Battle of Narita (which at the time strikes her as remote), her concern for Lelouch's whereabouts above all else is played for laughs — [[MoodWhiplash until suddenly it so isn't]].
* ''Anime/HeavyMetalLGaim'': Amu. She never missed a chance to try to lung on TheHero Daba and cling to him with both arms and legs. When the group met Leccee she turned ballistic when Daba showed sings of being attracted to her and trust her. Her enmity did NOT improve when Leccee began to openly show that she liked Daba (it must be said that Leccee is also jealous of Amu, but she is less clingy). Cue many {{Cat Fight}}s between both (some of them using mechas).
* Kaede from ''{{Shuffle}}'' is an odd example. It wasn't Rin hanging out with other girls [[spoiler: that caused her to snap]] but that he was hanging out with other girls ''and excluding her.''
* In ''Manga/GirlsBravo'' Yukinari has Lisa and Yukina, and Miharu and Kirie to a lesser extent, acting as his harem of [[ClingyJealousGirl clingy jealous girls]].
* ''LovelyComplex'': Mimi and Risa in regards to Otani.
* Yuno towards Yukiteru in ''Manga/MiraiNikki''. ''Very'' much so. She is perfectly willing to eliminate whatever competition she may face by ''[[MurderTheHypotenuse any]]'' means necessary.
* ''PeachGirl'': Sae to whoever attracts her "interest", though it can be argued that she just acts clingy and lovestruck because she is trying to undermine Momo; as well as Jigoro towards Sae. Both Kairi and Toji have displayed certain aspects of this behavior, all of it directed towards Momo; Momo herself is this way towards both Toji and Kairi as well at times.
** Kairi has a trio of obsessive {{Clingy Jealous Girl}}s who once attacked Momo and threatened to ''set her on fire'' if she continued taking up Kairi's attention.
* ''Manga/ToLoveRu''. Oh yes indeed. For those of you who like names, [[GenderBender Run's]] two halves to Rito and Lala respectively. Although the male half gets forgotten as time goes on.
* Ruuan, Kaori, and arguably, Shao in ''MamotteShugogetten''.
* In ''Manga/{{MAR}}'', Snow gets incredibly jealous when Dorothy starts hitting on Ginta.
* In ''Manga/RosarioToVampire'' every girl in Tsukune's UnwantedHarem acts like this towards Tsukune to varying degrees.
* Usagi, Fish Eye, Ann, Beryl, and arguably, Chibiusa act in such a manner towards Mamoru in ''Anime/SailorMoon''. Also, Rei in regards to Mamoru and Tuxedo Kamen at times; as well as Emerald whenever Prince Diamond is around or even ''mentioned''. Ann and Ali even act like this towards ''each other''. [[CrazyJealousGuy On the male side]] there is Prince Diamond and Ali both clingy around Usagi and also Umino acts like this in regards to Naru.
** In Usagi's case, it's less about being super obsessive and more about her own immaturity and childishness, specially compared to Mamoru who takes stuff on stride. Also, it's kinda zig-zagging: on one episode she was VERY jealous of Rei when Mamoru had to spend some days in the Hikawa shrine since his apartment was under repairs, but on another she completely dismissed Chibi-Usa's claims and distress over Mamoru's kouhai Saori who had a HUGE crush on him.
** This is made a plot point in the Super S movie: [[spoiler: at some point Usagi asks Mamoru if he loves Chibi-Usa better and is confused by his reply, then realizes [[LotusEaterMachine something strange is going on]]...]]
** Also one-time character Janelyn was this to her boyfriend/partner Misha [[spoiler: because she was forcibly turned into a Youma alongside him.]] Once [[spoiler: they're debrainwashed]], she stops acting that way... but not before seeing Misha train and get along well with Makoto sends her over the edge and attacks them both.
* Reiji (Rage) from the ''{{Gravitation}}'' manga series is a robot panda-driving FagHag fixated on Shuichi, even following him to America and becoming his band's manager because of this obsession.
* Akane, Shampoo, Ukyo and Kodachi from ''Manga/RanmaOneHalf'' all display one degree or another of this behavior -- all of it focused on Ranma.
* After LightNovel/HaruhiSuzumiya sees Kyon and Mikuru acting a bit too friendly with each other, her jealousy [[spoiler:nearly brought about the end of the universe]]. In her defense, Haruhi ''does'' restrain her jealousy a lot and doesn't really intervene in these cases other than by making disguised sighs of disgust and frustration... but, given that [[spoiler:[[RealityWarper the whole universe is hanging on her mental balance]], inner frustration ''is'' everything it would take for the world to implode]].
** [[spoiler: Haruhi does ''not'' know she's a RealityWarper. In fact, she regards the night when she was about to bring the end of the universe as a simple ''nightmare'' she had. It's a sure thing that it's ''much'' better to keep her LockedOutOfTheLoop...]]
** Haruhi's behavior can be understood in part because Kyon is the only human being who voluntarily associates with her out of choice rather than obligation. Therefore, he's the only one who has a calming influence on her, [[MoralityChain and shall she lose him...]]
* Nanami Kiryuu from ''Anime/RevolutionaryGirlUtena'' is fixated on her brother Touga. Also Kozue for her brother Miki. She's extremely possessive of Miki to the point where she physically hurts anyone who tries to hurt or "steal" him. And to a lesser extent there's Wakaba [[LesYay towards Utena]].
* Shiho Munakata from ''Anime/MaiHIME'', in regards to her "big brother" Yuuichi Tate.
** Shiho is an interesting case, because in the ''MaiOtome'' {{Elseworld}} ([[WildMassGuessing or whatever it is]]) she retains all the craziness, but loses the crush--turning her from TheScrappy to an [[CrazyAwesome absolutely hilarious secondary character]].
*** Eh, YMMV: others thought that Shiho was purely DemotedToExtra and lost a good part of her motivation to even ''be'' there in the plot.
* Asuka from ''Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion'' is a ClingyJealousGirl around Ryōji Kaji and Shinji Ikari (notice her particular agitation towards Rei). This is bumped up in many of the {{alternate universe}}s.
** Ritsuko also exhibits traces of this behavior towards Rei, whom she fears after the latter starts spending a lot of time with/and earning the favor of her old lover Gendo Ikari.
** Interestingly, when Armisael merges with Unit 00 in the manga, the Other Rei tells Rei that while she may not outwardly show it or be fully aware of it, she has some of this towards Shinji as well. It goes on to say that she gets jealous whenever Shinji visits Asuka in the infirmary after her MindRape, and that deep down she has a selfish desire to have him all to herself which stems from her loneliness (that parallels to Asuka telling she wants to have Shinji all for herself).
* ''ParallelTroubleAdventureDual'' has all the girls noticeably show this trait towards Kazuki. However D Rei's {{Expy}} clings to him the most.
* Lum in ''UruseiYatsura'', in regards to her "husband" Ataru Moroboshi. In her defense, she wouldn't care if he looked at other girls etc.; she just wants him to stop throwing himself at every woman he sees. Also Ryōko Mendō, aimed at her brother Shūtarō ''and'' his arch rival Tobimarō who is TERRIFIED of her for the exact same reason Shūtarō is.
* Hikaru in ''KimagureOrangeRoad'', competing with her best friend Madoka for Kyōsuke's affections. It's more of a childish, innocent kind of clinging, except in TheMovie where the girl [[HeroicBSOD has a total breakdown]] when Kyōsuke breaks up with her and hooks up with Madoka.
* Merle in ''VisionOfEscaflowne'' is clingy and jealous with respect to Van, whence her sometimes-FriendlyRivalry with Hitomi. [[IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy She gives this up]] once it becomes apparent [[PluckyGirl Hitomi]] just can't be beat in Van's heart.
* Although it's part of an act at first, Flay Allster of ''GundamSeed'' is definitely this towards Kira Yamato.
* Yuka in ''ElfenLied'', though she attempts (and fails) to grapple with her jealousy throughout the series. The main character, Lucy, is an even greater example, as '''her''' grappling with jealousy involves [[spoiler: murdering her romantic interest Kouta's family and sparing Yuka's life ''only'' because Kouta would hate her if she killed her]].
* Although it is debated among fans whether her motives are romantic or not, C-ko Kotobuki is this to A-ko Magami in ''[[ProjectAko Project A-ko]]''.
* Kizaki Tamayo from ''KidouTenshiAngelicLayer'' acts this way towards her classmate Kobayashi Koutarou. When Misaki (the main character) starts getting close to Koutarou, Tamayo's already excessive friendly-violence steps up a notch. Then again, in the manga, she acts this same way and has only one scene to suggest any romantic motives ([[spoiler:and ends up with someone else; the anime, on the other hand, pairs her with Koutarou]]).
* Amagi Michal from ''MermaidMelodyPichiPichiPitch'' is fiercely possessive of Kaito once she saves him, but she's also a LonelyRichKid AND an IllGirl, so no violence here -- she'd probably collapse.
* Takamiya Rina from ''KaitouSaintTail'' becomes so possessive that she ruthlessly blackmails, gossips and overrides commands, pulling the dirtiest tricks she can think of to get her rival out of the way. On one occasion, she even aims a rocket launcher into a room full of priceless artifacts with both rival and boy inside.
* Kagura Sohma from ''FruitsBasket'' is extremely clingy toward Kyo, but doesn't hesitate to get violent. [[spoiler: She ends up being rejected by Kyo for the main character, Tohru.]]
** In Kagura's defense, [[spoiler: she's a friend of Tohru as well and not only does [[CharacterDevelopment get over Kyo choosing Tohru on her own]] even before Kyo rejects her for the last time]]... although the author has also said that [[spoiler:while Kagura might accept that Kyo chose Tohru, she will never get over him. Not to say that she won't get on with her life; she just will never stop having feelings for him.]].
* Miu from ''Manga/StrawberryMarshmallow'' reacts like this whenever [[OneeSama Nobue]] shows too much attention or admiration for one of the other three girls--which happens regularly. It's likely non-romantic, although with Miu all bets are off.
* Ranpha's path in ''[[VideoGame/GalaxyAngel Galaxy Angel Moonlit Lovers]]'' has her snap when she walks in on Tact and Chitose [[NotWhatItLooksLike picking up fallen papers]]. Tact's solution? Convince her that he could never love anybody else -- by way of [[http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/291/ranphamoonlitloverscgob5.jpg self-humiliation]].
* Sakurako falls into this role to various extents in ''DemashitaPowerpuffGirlsZ'', to the point where in one episode she deliberately changes into Sedusa so her [[JekyllAndHyde Hyde self]] can take appropriate revenge when she sees Souichirou with another girl (nearly twice, but the PPGZ (in civilian guise) prevent the second occurrence, thwarting what would otherwise have been a HereWeGoAgain ending).
* Koboshi of ''{{Pita-Ten}}'' often gets very jealous and infuriated when Misha glomps Kotarou, and just as often is shown contemplating her chances with Kotarou and whether Misha is getting more attention from him, particularly when Kotarou won't push the angel away and just lets her hang there.
* Mei Ling of ''Manga/CardcaptorSakura'' was [[ChildhoodMarriagePromise sort-of engaged]] to [[KissingCousins her cousin Li Shaoran]] since childhood and holds this ''very'' dearly, to the point it becomes quite a running gag. However, when she realizes he has ''really'' fallen for Sakura ''and'' also ends up befriending her, [[IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy she "breaks it off" and ends up helping them get together]].
** Then there's Nakuru Akizuki who appears to be this towards Touya, [[InterruptedDeclarationOfLove constantly butting in whenever Touya is trying to admit a certain something to Yukito]] and draping herself on the guy. However [[spoiler: what Nakuru a.k.a Ruby Moon is actually after is Touya's magic power, which Touya is attempting to give up to Yukito / Yue who is fading away and will die without - as well as confess his love. Once Touya fully makes clear to Nakuru that she is '''not''' to interfere, throws her out of a room where Yukito is sleeping after passing out and Spinel tells her that she has definitely lost, she backs off and limits herself to be TheRival to Yue.]]
* Skuld of ''Manga/AhMyGoddess'' acts in a manner resembling this trope -- ''about her '''sister''''' -- when she perceives that Keiichi and Belldandy are becoming more romantically close.
** Similarly, but much less severe, could be Belldandy herself. Things have been known to randomly ''explode'' if she sees Keiichi receiving excessive attention from another girl. Even when she keeps it under control, however, she makes it quite clear to others that she would [[AlwaysSaveTheGirl save Keiichi's life even if meant the destruction of the entire universe]] in a heartbeat and [[BewareTheNiceOnes will not tolerate people randomly interfering with their relationship]]. This becomes especially apparent when she flatly refuses the personified Gate of Heaven's request for Keiichi to teach her about love; when the Gate accuses her of being unusually selfish for a goddess, she calmly replies, "Yes; with Keiichi, I am not so generous."
** In the second season of the anime, when [[HotAsHell Hild's]] loli-form goes back in time to seduce a younger Keiichi, she acts like a ClingyJealousGirl towards him every time Belldandy (who has also come back in time to stop Loli-Hild) tries to talk to Keiichi.
* ''KareKano'': When first introduced, Tsubasa Shibahime is very clingy towards Soichiro Arima, often attacking Yukino Miyazawa, with whom Arima had a burgeoning romantic relationship. Arima, however, doesn't buy on her act and swiftly stops her from trying anything against Yukino. [[spoiler: Tsubasa's romantic interest [[SecondLove later shifts]] from Soichirou to [[FlirtyStepsiblings her stepbrother]] Kazuma.]]
* Tamami of ''[[{{Mahoraba}} Mahoraba Heartful Days]]'' is obsessively clingy to Kozue, and while not particularly violent, she heaps the verbal abuse on Shiratori when he and Kozue get close.
* In ''Manga/MahouSenseiNegima'', Anna "Anya" Cocolova, Negi's wizard-world friend who is seen very briefly in an early FlashBack, is very jealous about him. At least, she wants ''very badly'' to be so, but mostly sits in the hot springs and whimpers, because she's [[ACupAngst so darn intimidated]] by the size of a significant portion his UnwantedHarem's chests and later, by their level of combat ability, which makes her fear that Negi will forget about her in the end.
* Mayu Miyuki from ''Manga/AiYoriAoshi'' is notorious for this, outraged when any other girl does anything with Kaoru and she does not, and regularly (and dramatically) proclaiming her love and plans for their future. Made even worse by the fact that [[spoiler: she never really stops, just tones it back somewhat... even after Kaoru is married.]]
** Averted by Tina who handled her disappointment ''far'' better than Mayu did... funny, considering how Mayu was always [[TheOjou criticizing]] ''her'' for being graceless.
* Christine Hanakomachi from ''Manga/DaaDaaDaa'' seems to have [[{{Yandere}} two personas hiding inside her]]: the meek gentle girl who adores Miyu Kozuki as a friend, and the crazy devil capable of superhuman feats that would murder anyone who tries getting "romantically close" to Kanata Saionji (namely Miyu herself, though non-intentionally).
** Both of them are aware of this, and in moments of GenreSavvy have taken advantage of it. For example, in one episode the cast is [[IncredibleShrinkingMan shrunk]], so Kanata pretends to get romantic with Miyu while standing in front of the button that will turn them back to normal size, causing Chris to attack with sufficient strength to press the button.
* Subverted in ''HellTeacherNube'', with Yukime the Snow Girl. First, she goes all jealous when [[spoiler:Nuubee goes into a fancy date with his workmate Ritsuko, but another spirit [[PlayingCyrano who had arranged the date in the first place via her powers]] sees this and ''punishes'' Yukime [[TheChewToy messily and]] ''[[TheChewToy repeatedly]]'' through the second half of the episode.]] Some time later, [[spoiler: Yukime kidnaps Ritsuko and attempts to kill her -- but ''only'' after having been subjected to [[KickTheDog an extremely cruel]] BreakingSpeech from her father's [[PoisonousFriend Poisonous Lackey]], who almost manages to convince her to [[MurderTheHypotenuse murder her victim and then get together with Nuubee]]... but Yukime not only is very unhappy about doing this, but she apologizes to Ritsuko and releases her, which ends up in ''Yukime's own death''. She gets better, though.]] Finally, [[spoiler: it's one of the rare cases where the Clingy Jealous Girl actually ''wins her dude's affections'', but only ''after'' all of this has happened and Yukime's CJG stint is mostly done for.]]
* Misa Amane in ''Manga/DeathNote'', who indicates to Light that if he dates any other girls, even to throw the authorities off their own relationship, she'll kill them with her Death Note. For that matter, Kiyomi Takada later on.
* ''Anime/{{Naruto}}'' has Sakura Haruno and Ino Yamanaka who, in the beginning, are clingy to a T whenever Sasuke is involved, and (in Sakura's case at least) violent when he isn't. Both [[CharacterDevelopment kinda grow out of the fangirlism]], if not of their feelings for him, by the time ''Shippuden'' starts, though. Although FanDumb [[DieForOurShip refuses to aknowledge that]].
** Part II has Karin obsessively pining after Sasuke and Shiho fangirling Shikamaru. Karin in particular [[DieForOurShip earned the wrath of Sasuke/Sakura fans]] due to this, but after [[spoiler:Sasuke sacrifices her to kill Danzo]], she no longer fits this trope and has [[RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap become more accepted by the fanbase]] because of this.
** In some of the anime filler, Sakura gets upset when a girl tries to gain Naruto's affections. Doesn't go beyond ShipTease, as Sakura is a deconstruction of AllGirlsWantBadBoys towards Sasuke.
* Out of Akito's [[UnwantedHarem half-dozen or so]] love interests in ''MartianSuccessorNadesico'', the two most successful, Megumi and Yurika, are the clingy jealous type. Fortunately for everyone involved, this ''never'' involves violence (except Akito getting [[MemeticMutation Bright-slapped]] by Ryoko once or twice), or Yurika abusing her powers as captain to punish her rivals. Although it's possible that [[TheDitz that just didn't occur to her]].
** Megumi's jealousy and clinginess took awhile to set in, but once it did, it effectively murdered her chances of getting Akito's affection at all. [[spoiler: She actually does gets the seeds of a serious relationship started, but she destroyed it all by trying to take things too far, which utterly repulsed him. Trying to get him to leave the crew of the Nadesico to their fate when they were in trouble didn't help either.]]
* Yubel from ''Anime/YuGiOhGX'' is apparently a clingy jealous ''hermaphrodite''... dragon... demon... person. Uh. They are also a body swapping parasite that's jealous of all the HoYay going around.
* In the ''PrettySammy'' series, Haida is this to Hiroto in spite of the fact that the latter has never once condoned this.
* May Wong from ''KaleidoStar'' counts as a non-romantic ([[ShipTease maybe]]) version of this, since she's ''very'' possessive of her idol and prospective partner Leon Oswald and has to compete hard with Sora to become his official partner. She also blames Sora for indirectly destroying her cherished dream to perform with her ''other'' idol, ex-Kaleidostage star Layla Hamilton. [[CharacterDevelopment She gets better, though.]]
* Kazuki Ibuse in ''Manga/BitterVirgin'', to the extent that Daisuke plays along with being her boyfriend because he knows she's likely to harm Hinako (the girl he ''does'' like) if she isn't placated. [[spoiler:Towards the end of the series however, Kazuki cuts Daisuke loose after finally learning Hinako's secret and that Daisuke loves her while having known all about it. She's content to just wait for Daisuke and Hinako to break up, a fate that everyone [[BittersweetEnding (up to and including the couple themselves)]] fully expects to eventually happen.]]
* ''{{Armored Trooper VOTOMS}}'' has Coconna, who gets extremely jealous of the attention Chirico pays to Fyanna. She is always having to convince Gotho and Vanilla to save Chirico when he gets captured during the first arc.
* Pinoko is definitely like this in regards to Dr. Manga/BlackJack, and tends to be deliberately rude to any cute-looking woman that walks within ten feet of him, only becoming nicer once she's assured that they pose no threat. The fact that she's WAY too young for him [[OlderThanTheyLook (physically, anyway)]] never seems to cross her mind.
* ''LightNovel/ACertainMagicalIndex'':
** Index herself whenever a girl takes Touma away from her.
** [[SchoolgirlLesbians Kuroko]] threatens Touma the moment she sees him out of suspicion over his relationship with Mikoto, telling him that if he wants to make a go at Mikoto he'll have to go through ''her'' first.
** While she doesn't realize it, Mikoto shows signs of this too, including when she and Index first meet and HilarityEnsues.
* Lolly and Menolly from ''Manga/{{Bleach}}''. They're such [[spoiler:Aizen]] fangirls that they torment Orihime Inoue purely because of his interest in her, beat her up brutally once and later tried to kidnap and kill her during the [[spoiler: Ichigo vs. Ulquiorra]] fight... [[spoiler:despite Orihime having ''revived'' the two, after Grimmjow brutally murders them.]]
** Neliel also counts as this towards Ichigo, though hers are a ''much'' more light-hearted version. Orihime may have expressed jealousy at some points, but she never even ''thought'' of clinging to Ichigo, though [[FanDumb fandom]] [[DieforOurShip would rather think she does]].
** Rukia's [[spoiler:adoptive younger sister Homura]] from the third movie is one. Whether it's romantic or not, it's in the eye of the beholder: some see a prospect PsychoLesbian, others see a merely clingy girl who wants [[spoiler: her "older sister"]] back.
** A 100% LesYay version is the resident LipstickLesbian and {{Meganekko}} from Karakura, Chizuru Honshou, who plays the role towards Orihime. Completely played for laughs.
*** ''Another'' LesYay version, arguably; Soi Fon in filler and side materials is not very happy with Ichigo for having bathed with Yoruichi. This is also speculated by some to be the reason [[spoiler: she refuses to help the Vizards until Hachi says he'll seal up Yoruichi's best buddy/possible love interest Urahara for a month]] -- [[DieForOurShip Yoruichi/Urahara rabidshippers turn it up to eleven]]...
* Almost every member of the UnwantedHarem in ''OmamoriHimari'' is a Clingy Jealous Girl. The only exception is the ForeignFanservice {{Meido}} tea-cup spirit Lizlet.
* Sekai Saionji from ''VisualNovel/SchoolDays''. Very, very, much so. Kotonoha Katsura as well. Although, they both differ on how they express their affections towards Makoto and jealousy towards anyone who might take his attention away from them: Sekai gets angry with Makoto, while Kotonoha goes in passive-aggressive denial.
** Otome Katou, who was already a bully AlphaBitch to Kotonoha and became ''even worse'' when Kotonoha started dating Makoto. She gets to the point that [[spoiler: she tackles Makoto in a secret spot and has sex with him -- ''when he was dating Sekai behind Kotonoha's back''.]]
* Ritsu Tanaka from ''Manga/KOn'' demonstrates extreme traits of this trope towards [[LesYay Mio]] in Episode 11 when Mio seems to be spending more time with Nodoka than paying attention to her.
* Momoko from ''WanderingSon'' displays this behavior toward her childhood friend Chizuru and often acts very upset when Chizuru pays more attention to other people. Still, Momoko is not above giving Chizuru a piece of her mind when she thinks her friend has done something stupid to other people--which is quite often.
* ''RurouniKenshin'': At first, [[{{Tsundere}} Kaoru]] was very jealous of Megumi, who was better than she was [[YamatoNadeshiko at the traditional female tasks]]. Sometime before the start of the Kyoto they move past this and become friends. For instance, see [[spoiler:Megumi snap Kaoru out of her HeroicBSOD when Kenshin leaves her for Kyoto. One of the reasons Megumi cites to push Kaoru to go after him is that Kenshin said goodbye to her and not to Megumi, which can be seen as her accepting that she had lost.]]
* Naru from ''LoveHina'' may say she hates Keitaro every time until they finally get together, but boy is she ever one towards him.
** Kanako, Keitaro's stepsister, is ''much'' more obvious about her clinginess towards him, although she does eventually [[IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy concede him to Naru]].
* Teresa "Tessa" Testarossa from ''LightNovel/FullMetalPanic'' is this towards Sousuke - ''big time''. She's normally a ditzy, MoeMoe {{Dojikko}}, but if anything concerns Sousuke, she gets ''very'' possessive and wily. She throws herself at him, and has been shown several times to (purposefully) sneak to where he's sleeping [[DudeShesLikeInAComa so she can molest him]], which eventually implied to result in his habit of sleeping ''under'' the bed. And as for the "jealous" part, ''TSR'' has her chewing him out and lambasting him for his HeroicBSOD and depression over being jerked away from Kaname (whom he developed one of the few human attachments he's felt for). Ironically enough, it's suggested that Sousuke was actually ''put off'' and [[NoGuyWantsToBeChased made to be more afraid of her due to her incredibly aggressive advances than if she had just lightened up]]. (Considering the only person to have had any romantic inclinations toward him was Gauron, and that he pursued Sousuke in a similarly aggressive manner, it's no surprise he's like that.)
** Kaname acts this way towards him as well when Tessa is around in ''Anime/FullMetalPanicFumoffu''.
* In the ''Manga/OnePiece'' anime, Hancock is jealous of the women in Luffy's crew (who she's never so much as ''seen'', only having heard their names), and fears that Luffy will choose them over her ([[ChasteHero Not that]] [[PlatonicLifePartners it's likely]] [[NoHuggingNoKissing to happen]]).
* Eri Sawachika from ''SchoolRumble''. Also [[DeconstructedTrope deconstructed]], as her jealousy brings her genuine trouble and almost wrecks her friendships with Mikoto and Tenma. Her more distant friendship with Tenma's sister Yakumo ''was'' destroyed over their common interest in Harima, after all.
* Hitagi Senjougahara from ''LightNovel/{{Bakemonogatari}}''.
* ''LightNovel/ZeroNoTsukaima'': Louise and Siesta towards Saito, though Louise is much more extreme about it.
* Azaka for Mikiya in ''LightNovel/KaraNoKyoukai''. Also a version where she fully embraces a relationship with him would be BrotherSisterIncest.
* ''VisualNovel/{{Ookamikakushi}}'': Isuzu for Hiroshi.
* ''LightNovel/GoshuushouSamaNinomiyaKun'': Although she tries to deny it, Reika is very much in love with and possessive of Shungo. This is made obvious, when she takes a maid job to get closer to Shungo, and her [[{{Yandere}} more ruthless]] alternate personality emerges.
* [[MoeAnthropomorphism Belarus]] from ''Manga/AxisPowersHetalia'' wants to get [[MadnessMantra married married married]] to her [[BrotherSisterIncest brother]] Russia. A flashback to their childhood shows that she was even jealous of her ''sister'' Ukraine, frowning (though that's admittedly her [[PerpetualFrowner default expression]] and it's easy to see it more as childish sisterly rivalry) and clinging to Russia's side when Ukraine gave him his trademark ScarfOfAsskicking.
** Mostly averted with Taiwan. Her first apparition has her poking China on the cheek and telling him to lay off Japan; however, her interactions with Japan and the other Asians do '''not''' have her clinging to him and being a bitch to whoever approached him. Not to mention, while she ''does'' argue with China, it's '''never''' about Japan aside of that aforementioned one sketch, and she has shown {{Tsundere}}-like behavior towards China as well.
* Momo in ''Manga/{{Saki}}''. After learning that Hisa was now on a FirstNameBasis with [[SchoolgirlLesbians her girlfriend, Yumi]] after the two played Mahjong for most of a night (although Hisa's saying "[[AccidentalInnuendo let's do it again today]]" didn't help), she spent the rest of the training trip shooting death glares at Hisa whenever they crossed paths.
* Asago in ''TokyoCrazyParadise'' is like this towards Ryuji [[spoiler:to the point of shooting Tsukasa's brothers when she admits her feelings for Ryuji]]
* In ''{{Maburaho}}'', Yuna becomes one for Kazuki shortly after he [[spoiler:turns into a ghost]]. She still keeps up her "I'm his wife" routine, but now with the added element of magically blasting anyone who so much as looks at him.
* Rose from ''LightNovel/DragonCrisis'' is this towards Ryuuji, in that, he tried to leave for three days, and she almost destroyed the room they were in at the time.
* ''InfiniteStratos'' has almost all of the girls be jealous with whoever is with Ichika. So much that fans have called this show as [[FanNickname Ichika and the]] [[Literature/CharlieAndTheChocolateFactory Jelly Factory]].
** Not one, not two, but ''three'' [[ClingyJealousGirl Clingy Jealous Girls!]]
** In the Anime version, it gets up to five. It's just that only three of them have any real chance.
* Meroko in ''Anime/FullMoonOSagashite''. Emphasis on "clingy", she's always all over Takuto, and in the beginning, won't even let him LOOK at Mitsuki for very long. Even though he's showed zero romantic interest in her, Meroko likes to announce to the world that he is "hers". She eventually matures into IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy. In [[Manga/FullMoonOSagashite the manga]], she's clingy and jealous over Izumi as well, although sometimes he brings it on himself, doing something to make her jealous in order to test her love for him.
* In ''Anime/{{Pokemon}}'', Ash's Chikorita and Aipom had crushes on him and at first didn't take his bond with Pikachu very well. Oshawott would count as this too, but it's male.
* Uruka from ''SteelAngelKurumi2'' [[LesYay for Nako]].
* Sora for Haruka in ''YosugaNoSora''.
* Mariko from ''OniisamaE'' is very much this to [[LesYay towards Nanako]].
* Mayu Okada from ''KaguyaHime''. She is very possessive of Akira, and doesn't let men or women near her. She has a sweet appearance but will do anything to get her way, such as pretending to be sick and fainting on the spot to get attention.
* Poor Jiro from ''MayoChiki'' has at least 3 girls who exhibit this trope. All 3 are pretty violent as well, and often beat him up when they suspect he's getting too close to the other ones, and a 4th girl who likes to tease him about it.
* Rei from ''HighSchoolOfTheDead'' is definitely this for Takashi, especially towards Saeko, although she acts reasonably civil towards her. (Probably because [[LadyOfWar Saeko could kick her ass]] ''and'' because they all depend on each other for survival, so Rei would be TooDumbToLive.) Lampshaded by Saeko herself, who notes that Rei's usually a levelheaded person ''unless'' she's in jealous mode, and adds that this is really annoying.
** Similarly, [[InsufferableGenius Saya Takagi]] seems jealous of Rei over Takashi, but displays small signs of it towards Kohta as well.
* ''LightNovel/{{Inukami}}'': Youko adores Keita and hates when he flirts with other girls. A typical event ends with him arrested for streaking because she teleported off his clothes in anger. Unusual for this trope in that she's a BattleCouple with him instead of an obstruction to another LoveInterest.
* Alice of ''PandoraHearts'' for Oz. She calls Oz her "property" and frequently gets jealous if [[HoYay Gil]] interacts with him. [[CrazyJealousGuy The reverse applies too.]]
* ''DNAngel'': Mio Hio for Daisuke, but she gets over it and [[IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy willingly gives him up to Riku.]]
* Koharu of ''KoharuNoHibi'' for Akira.
* Kirino from ''LightNovel/OreNoImoutoGaKonnaNiKawaiiWakeGaNai'' acts this way towards her brother Kyousuke. She gets extremely irritated anytime his childhood friend Manami spends time with him. In one incident, Kirino even goes so far as to put porn mags and an {{Eroge}} game on in his room as he's about to bring her to it, which hilariously backfires when [[MegaNekko Manami]] seems more interested that Kyousuke seems to prefer MegaNekko girls (as evidenced by the mags and the girl in the game), than the fact that he's playing eroge games and has porn openly laying about.
** Kuroneko, Ayase, and Kanako, three of Kirino's friends, also act this way towards Kyousuke in the later novels and during season 2 of the anime. The former likes to wonder what exactly the other two are doing with him in the first place, while the other two wonder why the former is visiting him [[spoiler:since she broke up with him after dating him for a short while.]]
** Oh boy. This is definitely cranked {{Up to eleven}} during Kyousuke's housewarming party. When Kanako comes over to give him his lunch she cooked for him(note: this is only the second time, but she's acting as if like she's done it for ages), Kyousuke angrily comes down to tell her off, but then Ayase ''and'' Kirino come down and start screaming at ''Kanako'' for coming over and giving Kyousuke a lunch. They both looked like lions!! Then when Kanako lies that Kyousuke is her boyfriend, well, Ayase, in a fit of ''jealousy'' of all things, gives Kyousuke the classic karate kick to the face.
* In Manga/{{Mahoromatic}}, both Mahoro and Shijiko act this way towards Suguru, anytime one of them is getting a little too friendly with him.
* Miu of KenichiTheMightiestDisciple gets ''very'' upset when Kenichi starts getting friendly with other girls, or visa-versa, even though she once insisted [[SheIsNotMyGirlfriend He Is Not My Boyfriend.]] The first time this happened with Ma Renka, Miu had no idea ''why'' she was getting so worked up.
* In ''LightNovel/KonoNakaNiHitoriImoutoGaIru'', several of the girls display this trope towards Shougo, primarily Konoe and Miyabi. In one hilarious incident, both girls insist on training him to "only like girls" after they see [[SweetPollyOliver Mizutani]] trying to climb on top of him in bed [[note]] Mizutani had just learned where babies come from, and was trying to "practice" it with Shougo[[/note]] and [[HoYay assuming the worst.]]
* In ''Manga/MedakaBox'', Medaka acts this way towards her [[ChildhoodFriendRomance childhood friend]] Zenkichi, and will usually either hit or lecture him if he seems too interested in another girl.
* Let's say ''every'' girl in ''LightNovel/SakurasouNoPetNaKanojo'' has signs of this.
** [[IdiotSavant Mashiro]]
*** In Episode 7, after seeing Sorata take a piece of rice off Yuuko's face, she puts one on hers, prompting Nanami to take that off. A moment later, Sorata sees both Yuuko and Mashiro putting pieces of rice on their face.
*** In Episode 8, she decides to stay in his room after he says Nanami would get upset seeing her in there. Later, she seems annoyed that Sorata compliments Nanami's bikini, but won't do the same for hers.
*** In Episode 9, when she saw Rita [[BedmateReveal lying on top of Sorata]], her only interactions with him for the next few hours was calling him "idiot" each time they pass each other. Later, after clearing things up, she invites Rita [[spoiler:-- whom she previously kicked out the dorm --]] to sleep in her room to prevent a repeat of said incident.
** [[PluckyGirl Nanami]]
*** She refuses to talk to Sorata during the first half of Episode 2 due to some out-of-context dialogue regarding Sorata being Mashiro's "first", at least until Mashiro clears it up.
*** Again in Episode 5 upon moving to Sakura Dormitory because she wanted to see what kind of relationship Mashiro and Sorata had, after Mashiro discussed said relationship in a way that made it sound like "dating".
** [[GenkiGirl Misaki]] also has a bit of this when she sees Jin and Mashiro standing in front of a love hotel in episode 3.
** [[BigBrotherAttraction Yuuko]] spent the entire Episode 7 doing this. She almost instantly disliked Mashiro and Nanami for taking up most of her brother's time, though she eventually softens up to Mashiro after she comes to understand the [[IdiotSavant latter's condition]].
** "Maid", an ''ArtificialIntelligence'' designed by [[GadgeteerGenius Ryuunosuke]]. When Rita started showing affection for Ryuunosuke, the latter, [[NoGuyWantsToBeChased ever the gynophobic]], chooses to spare himself the inconvenience of having to directly communicate with Rita by having "Maid" filter all her messages and love letters... who proceeds to start an online FlameWar with her.
** In episode 9, both Nanami and Mashiro seem a bit upset at Sorata when they see Rita on [[BedmateReveal top of him]] in his room when Nanami goes to wake him up for school.
** For a ''non-human'' example: Hikari (Sorata's first ''cat'') may actually be this to Sorata even. It greatly dislikes Mashiro, who it may perceive to be a rival. But it's implied in the finale when [[spoiler: Mashiro and Sorata have an AlmostKiss which Hikari interrupts by scratching Sorata's face. Mashiro suspects the cat was jealous, which is further supported by its angry reaction to Mashiro's kiss on Sorata's cheek.]]
* In ''LightNovel/OreNoKanojoToOsananajimiGaShurabaSugiru'', Eita's [[ChildhoodFriendRomance childhood friend]] Chiwa does not take the news that he's dating Masuzu, the most popular girl at school, very well. Made worse by the fact that Masuzu uses BlackMail to force him to date her, and threatens to release embarrassing things he wrote in a notebook years earlier on the internet if he tries to reveal the masquerade.
* Hiyori of ''Manga/KotouraSan'' is one, especially because Manabe shows genuine interest in Haruka without the latter trying anything like she did to win his affections.
* Practically all of the main female cast in ''LightNovel/BokuWaTomodachiGaSukunai'' exhibit this trope at one point or another towards Kodaka, the male protagonist. Him being or acting ObliviousToLove only makes it worse for them, and they're not too happy being in a BalancedHarem as well.
* [[AloofDarkHairedGirl Kuroyukihime]] of ''LightNovel/AccelWorld'' is this toward her [[SempaiKohai underclassman]]/[[BattleCouple comrade/boyfriend]] [[TheHero Haruyuki.]] The quote below demonstrates it rather well:
-->'''Kuroyukihime''': Haruyuki-kun, listen... you belong to me. Up till now, and from now on. For eternity, I will not give you to anyone.
* [[NiceGuy Kimihito]] [[ButtMonkey Kurusu]] of ''Manga/DailyLifeWithMonsterGirl'' is often injured because of Miia's [[HotBlooded EXTREMELY passionate affection]] and her inherent jealousy of the other members of his [[UnwantedHarem "harem."]]
** His [[AlternateUniverse fantasy]] [[{{Expy}} counterpart]] Mamoru Onodera of ''Manga/DeadlineSummonner'' fares no better--his ENTIRE harem wants to be the Main summon at all times. It doesn't really help that, in both cases, the girls are [[CuteMonsterGirl only half-human]] and can [[OutWithABang easily destroy them with their affections.]]
* This trope kicks off ''Manga/SakuraTrick'''s plot; as after moving to high school, Haruka, a bit of a loner, started to get jealous of her friend Yuu's popularity. They decided to do something special to keep their relationship special--in this case, TheBigDamnKiss.
* Ichika from ''Manga/OneechanGaKita'' acts in this way towards her NotBloodSiblings brother Tomoya. She gets jealous of Fujisaki, a female classmate that he likes. In another episode, after he stares at her friend Marina's breasts, Ichika hilariously slaps her friend's breasts out of jealousy.
* Kojou Akatsuki suffers from several girls with this affliction in ''LightNovel/StrikeTheBlood''. The girl that he partners with the most, Yukina Himeragi, really hates it when he spends too much time with the other girls, especially when she isn't around to observe him.
* In ''Manga/ZettaiKarenChildren'', Aoi, Kaoru, and Shiho, the three main girls of the show, do not like it at all when their supervisor, Minamoto, doesn't pay enough attention to them, or worse, is with another woman. Even if it was against his will...
* A couple of examples in ''Manga/BokuraWaMinnaKawaisou'':
** In episode 8, after Ritsu saves Usa from the high school students mocking him, two of the guys in the group mention they could dig the fangirls of this restaurant when they see how beautiful Ritsu looks, and one mentions working there as well. The three girls with them immediately have a gloomy look with DullEyesOfUnhappiness on their faces as they stare at those two guys out of jealousy.
** Ritsu begins to display some of these traits in episode 10 when Hayashi comes back to apologize to Usa. Chinatsu pointing out he's nice to all girls doesn't help things, and when he later mentions to Mayumi that his friend did visit him at the restaurant, Ritsu gets extremely irritated at him and leaves the room in anger.
* {{Manga/Citrus}} is a yuri manga of a relationship between 2 NotBloodSiblings, Mei and Yuzu with a ClingyJealousGirl for both of them.
** For Mei, it was the childhood friend Himeko. Ever since she saw Yuzu dash out of the chairman's room, with Mei inside, she has been dead set on separating the two as much as possible. Of course, with them being step-sisters, it's a bit of a feat to accomplish.
** For Yuzu, it is Matsuri, an ex GirlNextDoor, who came to town solely to see Yuzu and confess her feeling towards her, after discovering her booth photo with Mei and Yuzu in a HeldGaze with each other, she challenged the notion of having a relationship with one's own step-sister.

[[folder:Comic Books]]
* Knives Chau from the ''ScottPilgrim'' series combines this trope with {{Yandere}}
* Kayleigh from ''DorkTower'' is this in regards to Matt [=McLimore=]; just the ''thought'' that he might be interested in someone else sends her into a rage.
* Lana Lang has been occasionally portrayed as this for [[{{Superman}} Clark Kent]], to the point of once leaving her panties in the Kents's bed after failing to convince Clark that Lois is a lousy wife.
* This is essentially the motivation of the Venom Symbiote towards {{Spider-Man}}.
* Played with in ''ComicBook/{{Exalted}}''. Due to the differing social positions of men and women in Creation, Peleps Taguro is the Clingy Jealous Guy versus the Crazy Jealous Guy to Aruna.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Fan Fic]]
* Pauline from the ''FanFic/TamersForeverSeries'', although she still manages to be a sympathetic character and becomes an outright {{Woobie}} later on.
* ''Fanfic/TheSecondTry'': Asuka was one in the original series (part of her animosity towards Rei was due to her misconception of Shinji liked Rei instead of her). Her jealousy had mellowed down due to she feeling more confident about herself and their relationship with Shinji; however, she was completely hostile towards Kaworu and she warned him she wanted him nowhere near from [[spoiler:her husband]].
* Rarity in the ''FanFic/PoniesOfOlympus'' series is like this first when Spike shows interest in Wavedancer, then later when [[TheRival Ran Biao]] tries to seduce him. Sweetie Belle uses this attitude as evidence to get Rarity to admit she ''does'' return Spike's feelings for her.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Films]]
* Ellen Harland (GeneTierney) in ''Leave Her to Heaven'' is an extremely pathological version of this.
* Evelyn Draper from ''Film/PlayMistyForMe'' combines this with StalkerWithACrush.
* Norma Desmond from ''Film/SunsetBoulevard''. As Joe is walking out on her, she comments desperately, "No one leaves a star. That's what makes one a star." Then she [[spoiler:shoots him.]]
* Esther towards her adoptive father in ''Film/{{Orphan}}''.
* Stacy, Wayne's psycho ex in ''Film/WaynesWorld''
-->'''Stacy:''' Happy anniversary, Wayne.
-->'''Wayne:''' Stacy, we broke up two months ago.
-->'''Stacy:''' Well, that doesn't mean we can't still go out, does it?
* Christy from ''Film/TheSocialNetwork''. She flipped out on Eduardo for not replying to her text messages that he came back from California and for having his Facebook status as single. And she sets his gift for her [[{{Yandere}} on fire in a trash bin and knocks it over his bed.]] Then she has the audacity to ask if he's going back to California - completed with a pouty face and big puppy eyes.
* Rachel [[MeaningfulName Witchburn]] from ''SydneyWhite'' is borderline StalkerWithACrush to her ex-boyfriend Tyler (who ''she'' had dumped). Especially the way she shows up in Tyler's room, claiming to have read his emails.
* ''Calamity Jane'': While Calamity Jane is very interested in Lieutenant Danny Gilmartin, he doesn't reciprocate her feelings at all and instead desires the affections of Katie Brown. Seeing them kiss later on infuriates Calamity and makes her wild with jealousy, to the point where she shoots a glass out of her romantic rival's hand and orders her to leave town. Bill Hickock, a close friend of Calamity, understands what it will do to her if she succeeds in scaring Katie off and tries to help her gain some CharacterDevelopment in that department. She does[[spoiler: and the two of them end up getting married.]]
--> '''Bill:''' Who are you to tell people who to love? Suppose you did scare that girl out of town, would that get your lieutenant back? That stop Katie from lovin' him or him her? That's female thinkin'. He'd bring her back and they'd both hate ya... You had to lose tonight, Calam, or you'd never win again.
** Her possessiveness is demonstrated earlier in the movie as well. When Danny reacts excitedly to finding a picture of Adelaide Adams in his cigarette packet, she snatches it away from him and bursts out:
---> I didn't save you for no other female.
* Raven wasn't too fond of seeing Charles hit on other women in a pub in ''Film/XMenFirstClass''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Literature]]
* Blanche Ingram from ''Literature/JaneEyre'', but she doesn't have any real affection for Rochester - she's just a RichBitch GoldDigger. Easily gotten rid of when Rochester lets a rumor reach her saying (falsely) that he's broke.
* ''Literature/HarryPotter'':
** Ron's girlfriend Lavender Brown in ''[[Literature/HarryPotterAndTheHalfBloodPrince ''HalfBloodPrince'']] '': In addition to being insufferably cutesy and granting Ron the entirely unwelcome nickname of "Won-Won", she's hyper-jealous of Hermione (admittedly with good cause, as Ron's only really dating her to [[OperationJealousy make Hermione jealous]], anyway).
*** Though the infamous bird attack scene and [[OperationJealousy dating Cormag McLaggen]] to get back at Ron kind of shows that Hermione was NotSoAboveItAll.
** Ginny veers towards this trope a bit in ''[[Literature/HarryPotterAndTheDeathlyHallows Deathly Hallows]]'', when after Harry [[ItsNotYouItsMyEnemies broke up with her]], she gets jealous of eleven-year-old Gabrielle Delacour having a crush on Harry. She doesn't go '''too''' far, [[DieForOurShip though fangirls like to think she would.]]
* Dawn of ''Literature/TheBabySittersClub'' shows a dose of this in ''Mary Anne's Makeover'', in which she admits that she's jealous of all the time Mary Anne's been spending with her father and that it makes her miss her own terribly. Dawn comes off as being resentful of Mary Anne for having her father around...apparently forgetting that ''this is Mary Anne's only living parent''.
* Snork Maiden of ''TheMoomins''. Partially inverted in that she's Moomins' actual love interest and hence is justified in becoming really clingy whenever he falls in love with a block of wood (yes, this actually happens).
* Eponine of ''Literature/LesMiserables'' is notable for being about as clingy and jealous as you can get while still remaining TheWoobie. While she desperately wants Marius to pay attention to her, she lacks the self-confidence and the boldness that would make her fit the trope. Obviously, [[spoiler:trying to get him and herself killed on the barricade]] is taking clinginess to an extreme level, but she had lost all hope at that point.
* In ''[[http://www.fictionpress.com/s/2535577/1/Charlie_Daniels_Teenaged_Schmoe Charlie Daniels, Teenaged Schmoe]]'', Charlie's girlfriend Lynn acts like this towards him, trying to make him jealous by kissing another girl and then spreading the rumor that he raped her when that doesn't work, and yelling at him because another girl flirted with him (and he tried to brush her off).
* Caroline Bingley fills this role in ''PrideAndPrejudice''; having clear intentions on Mr. Darcy, she is less than impressed by the obvious attention and interest he has in Elizabeth (obvious to her, that is; not to Elizabeth herself) and spends a lot of time attempting to belittle and put-down Elizabeth as much as possible. Darcy, for his part, takes the ignore-her-long-enough-and-maybe-she'll-go-away approach towards Caroline.
* Angelina in ''TheStainlessSteelRat''. Admittedly she's his wife, but most partners draw the line at threatening their husband-to-be with a [[HandCannon .75 calibre recoiless pistol]] just because he's having second thoughts about their marriage.
** She was in her ''third trimester with twins'' and he was ''still'' waffling! But she does display this behavior quite well later in the same book, as well as subsequent ones.
** Well, despite the Corps' highly advanced personality rewriting devices, Jim did insist that they not reform her ''entirely.''
* Edward and Bella both toward each other in ''Literature/{{Twilight}}''. Jacob Black developed into something like this as well, later on (at least until [[spoiler:Renesmee]] came along...).
* Ohara-sensei of ''Literature/DigitalDevilStory'' [[spoiler: snaps the neck of her student out of jealousy of the fact her demon master/lover was about to rape the poor girl]] in front of her.
* Simone Lecoutier is like this towards best friend [[PluckyGirl Joey Bettany]] at the beginning of the ''ChaletSchool'' series, getting tearful and resentful if Joey befriends anyone besides her. Given how friendly Joey is, this happens ''a lot''. At one point, Simone chops off her plaits in an attempt to get Joey to pay attention to her after Joey makes a remark about girls with short hair. Joey isn't pleased.
* Tinker Bell from ''PeterPan'', to the point of making multiple attempts on Wendy's life, a trait only slightly toned down for other adaptations.
* In the ''Franchise/{{Disgaea}}'' [[LightNovel/DisgaeaNovels novels]] every girl in [[Characters/DisgaeaHourOfDarkness Laharl’s]] UnwantedHarem acts like this to a certain degree, especially [[Characters/DisgaeaHourOfDarkness Flonne]].
* Lysa Tully from ''ASongOfIceAndFire'' takes this to such an [[{{Yandere}} extreme]] that, when her husband makes entirely unwanted advances on her (barely) teenage niece, she [[spoiler: tries to shove her off a castle. Unfortunately for Lysa ''he'' shoves ''her'' off -- as a) it was all AccordingToPlan and b) Littlefinger [[{{Yandere}} out-Yanderes her]] by miles. ]]
* Medea from Creator/AaronAllston's ''Literature/GalateaIn2D''. Roger takes advantage of this, coupled with the threat to never let her go back to Jason, to get her to work for him.
* Literature/TrappedOnDraconica: Jenna she throws petty insults at Daniar the instant they meet and pulls (her brother) Kalak away from her. [[TeamPet Ritchie]] says she's like this with every girl Kalak has contact with. He thinks its BigSisterInstinct but by insisting that Kalak never has to have a child (and thus, never have sex with another woman) she borders IncestSubtext.
* Lucy Pennykettle from [[Literature/{{Dragons}} The Last Dragon Chronicles]], when Zanna takes interest in Tam.
* In ''Literature/ThoseThatWake'''s sequel, Rose takes this to horrifying levels when she tries to replace Mal's memories of Laura with herself.
* From ''Literature/TellTheWolvesImHome'', June is this for her uncle Finn, getting jealous when Toby tells her about their relationship (because there were parts of Finn's life she wasn't privy to). [[spoiler:Greta]] is this for June as well, being jealous that she grew close with Toby.
* Eleanor from ''Literature/EleanorAndPark'' is this for her boyfriend Park, turning on the GreeneyedMonster when Park brings up the fact that he used to go out with [[ArchEnemy Tina]]. Somewhat justified by the fact that Eleanor is a victim of RedheadsAreUncool (a lot of which is Tina's doing).

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Live Action TV]]
* ''Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer'':
** Buffy was frequently jumping to conclusions about Angel being involved with Drusilla or Cordelia or Faith. Her jealous nature was tempered in later relationships, partly because she wore the pants by that time.
** Kennedy is a mild case: one of the first things she says to Buffy after seeing her after hearing about her "experiment" with Satsu is to stay away from Willow.
* Missy from ''NedsDeclassifiedSchoolSurvivalGuide'', undaunted by the fact that Ned has absolutely no interest in her. Fortunately, Ned finds the perfect solution: a HugeSchoolgirl bodyguard.
* Jenny towards [[spoiler: Shane]] in the final series of ''TheLWord''
* ''ICarly'': Carly displays this in the hallway scene of the [[{{Recut}} extended]] version of ''iSaved Your Life''. When Freddie becomes popular to the Ridgeway students after his accident, one of the girls flirts with him by insistently inviting him to a party. Possibly in her pants. Annoyed, Carly hugs Freddie and initiates a French kiss that forces the girl to leave. After the kiss, Freddie then prompts, "Wow, my kitty's got '''claws'''!"
* Olive Snook from ''PushingDaisies'' began this way, but eventually drifted to a [[IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy nobler mindset]].
** Ned is prone to this sort of behavior himself, although he's usually more of a doormat about it.
* Wilson's girlfriend Amber on ''Series/{{House}}'' (who was later killed off) used to disagree with [[CrazyJealousGuy House]] over how much time Wilson should be spending with him. They challenged each other for Wilson's "custody," and they disliked each other immensely.
** This one comes across more as House being a Clingy Jealous ''Guy'' and not wanting to share his HeterosexualLifePartner Wilson with anyone, while Amber seems to be doing it partly as revenge for House firing her and partly because she thinks that the House/Wilson relationship is bad for Wilson (there is admittedly some justification for this opinion).
* ''NYPDBlue''''s Adrienne Lesniak had a few shades of this. After avoiding a relationship with James Martinez for all of season 2, she starts a relationship with him in 3. No sooner do they spend their first night together then she begins attempting to control almost every aspect of his life, finally driving the exhausted James to break up with her.
* Myra from ''FamilyMatters'' took this trope to [[StalkerWithACrush rather frightening extremes]], going so far as to blame Steve's infatuation with Laura on Laura herself.
* Mel from ''FlightOfTheConchords'', to hilariously creepy levels.
* Lorelai shows shades of this to Luke's love interests in the early seasons of ''GilmoreGirls'' until they finally kissed at the end of season 4.
* Chloe was this during early seasons of ''Series/{{Smallville}}'', to the point where, by her own admission later on, she was willing to sell Clark out to Lionel Luthor after she saw him with Lana. An episode also centered on her being slipped a "love potion" which made all who drank it this trope temporarily, during which she tried to kill her cousin Lois in a jealous rage. Thankfully, she outgrows this mindset and becomes a more mature person as the show goes on.
* Elena from ''Series/TheVampireDiaries'', especially in regards to Stefan. She got very jealous and suspicious of first Caroline, then Lexi (who only turned out to be Stefan's [[PlatonicLifePartners best friend]]), then Katherine and then Rebekah, who all happened to harbour either an attraction, obsession or affection for Stefan. As of recently, Elena has even gotten very jealous of Stefan and Tessa and jumped to the conclusion that they were sleeping together. It seems as though Elena gets jealous, angered and suspicious of ''any girl'' that gives Stefan the slightest affection or attention or any girl who so much as even ''looks at Stefan'' or shows any kind of interest in him (and Elena is supposed to be in a relationship with Damon!)
** Katherine strongly qualifies as well in regards to Stefan, but more to the {{Yandere}}, IfICantHaveYou, StalkerWithACrush, VillainessesWantHeroes, LoveMakesYouCrazy, LoveHungry, NotGoodWithRejection and MurderTheHypotenuse levels.
** Caroline was jealous over Stefan in the beginning as well. She didn't understand why Stefan paid Elena more attention than her. However, this later changes as she becomes the biggest [[ShipperOnDeck Stelena supporter]] ever. Caroline does become very clingy and jealous in regards to both Matt and Tyler though.
** Rebekah in regards to Stefan as well. She did not react well when she discovered that Stefan was in love with Elena.
*** Seems as though [[FatalAttractor Stefan has a habit of attracting obsessive, jealous, psychotic and clingy girls]]. In regards to Elena/Katherine/Stefan/Rebekah, it's become a PsychoticLoveTriangle.
** Qetsiyah in regards to Silas. She was so [[GreenEyedMonster jealous]] of Silas' true love, Amara, that [[MurderTheHypotenuse she separated Amara from Silas by making her the physical anchor to The Other Side and creating a purgatory for dead supernatural souls to go to when they die (The Other Side)]] just so [[IfICantHaveYou that Silas' soul would be trapped with her on The Other Side and he would be separated from Amara for all time just so that she could have Silas all to herself.]]
**** It's not certain whether or not Amara was also the jealous and clingy type, but it could be assumed that she competitive with Qetsiyah considering that Amara also loved Silas passionately and that she wanted to spend an eternity with him.
*** Qetsiyah also displayed jealousy over Stefan briefly especially when it came to Elena. It seems as though Qetsiyah was transferring her 2,000+ year old obsession with Silas onto his doppelgänger and distant descendant Stefan.
* As her relationship with Mulder evolves in ''Series/TheXFiles'', Scully exhibits a milder version of this trope... except in "Syzygy", where it's absolutely full-blown pathological jealousy due to some sort of star alignment making everyone in the town go haywire. She also gets ''very'' jealous whenever [[BerserkButton Diana Fowley]] comes into the picture. Hints of this can be seen as far back as the first season, when Mulder's ex-girlfriend from Oxford showed up but at that time, she was mostly annoyed that those two were fooling around when they were on duty and were acting very unprofessionally.
* Matsu in ''Series/ToshiieToMatsu'' is so jealous that she doesn't allow him to have any mistresses ([[ValuesDissonance normal for men at the time]]) and he gets ribbed by his colleagues about being on a short leash. Nene similarly flips out whenever Hideyoshi strays, but since she can't give him any children (and he's a pervert) he just ignores her complaints--it got so bad that Nene almost divorced Hideyoshi at one point, but is [[ValuesDissonance talked out of it to avoid a scandal]].
* From the BBC's ''Series/RobinHood'': Kate. Her rival Isabella is ''not even in plain sight'' before Kate is demanding to know who she is and why Robin has brought her to Sherwood Forest, snapping: "What's the reason for ''her''?" This is her most pressing concern in spite of the fact that they're all running for their lives at this stage. In later episodes she responds to Isabella's mere presence by sulking, and later (after her RelationshipUpgrade with Robin) tries to actively ''kill'' her every time they cross paths, either by her own hand, or by indirect means (at one stage encouraging Robin to abandon Isabella to her murderous husband). [[DesignatedHero And she's supposed to be one of the good guys!]]
* ''Series/DoctorWho''
** Rose Tyler demonstrated tendencies towards this trope: she reacted rather poorly when she learnt that she ''wasn't'', in fact, the Doctor's very first female companion ever. She was also visibly displeased at any indication that the Doctor might be impressed by someone other than her.
** Sarah Jane Smith reacts to Rose in much the same way that Rose reacts to her.
** If Rose counts, then the Doctor, particularly Nine, counts as a male example. Notice his jealous treatment of Mickey, Rose's current boyfriend, and emotionally manipulative phone call at the end of "World War Three" in which he effectively seduces Rose away from her family with the promise of a really cool supernova sighting. It might be more accurate, however, to simply state that Rose and the Doctor both cared about each other to the extent where they sometimes failed to consider to feelings of others.
** Martha Jones also displayed elements of this trope, especially when Rose Tyler's name came up until she get over the doctor.
** In the episode "Human Nature", John Smith (aka the Doctor turned human, with no memory of his real life) and Joan Redfern believe Martha (who is posing as Smith's servant) is this, and ignore her when she's desperately trying to get John to be the Doctor again, as the aliens they are hiding from have found them.
** River Song is, if not jealous, certainly obsessive and single-minded about her relationship with the Doctor.
** Hilariously enough, the TARDIS has shown elements of this, acting a bit testy when people bring up the large number of female companions the Doctor has had. She especially doesn't like Clara. She locks her out at least once, and another time, when Clara needs to use the holographic interface, the TARDIS uses Clara as its avatar.
--->'''TARDIS:''' Out of all the billions of images in the databanks, it was determined that the form [[StealthInsult you would react best to]] [[{{Narcissist}} would be your own]].\\
'''Clara:''' Ugh! You are a cow, I knew it!
* Ianto Jones from ''Series/{{Torchwood}}'' typifies this trope throughout the second and third series of the show in relation to the more free-wheeling Captain Jack.
* Tsubasa Aoi (Fire-4) from ''TomicaHeroRescueFire'' is a male example of this towards Ritsuka (Fire-3).
* Jade from ''{{Victorious}}''.
* ''TheBrittasEmpire'' has a gay male version in Tim, who gets emotional and storms out if his partner Gavin talks to another man in the pub.
* Fiona in ''Series/{{Degrassi}}'' is like this towards ''her own twin brother''.
* ''Series/{{Glee}}'''s Santana will throw down with people who get involved with her sexual partners, even if she claims not to want a real relationship with them.
** Rachel has similar tendencies when it comes to Finn - well, not the violent ones, but if Finn ends up dating someone who's not her at any point there's nothing she won't try in order to destroy their relationship.
* Rose in ''TwoAndAHalfMen'' is this to Charlie.
* Annie on ''Series/{{Community}}'' does this to Jeff at the start of season 2.
* Sebastian from ''LittleBritain'' is this for Michael, even towards Michael's own wife.
* Lily is something of this in ''Series/HowIMetYourMother'', although only occasionally. She can hardly control her fury whenever she talks about Ted's ex-girlfriend Karen, because she "lingered" when she walked in on Lily painting Marshall nude way back in college. She also once beat the shit out of another woman for kissing Marshall when drunk, even though the woman apologized profusely. However, showing her jealous streak is probably more related to possessiveness than insecurity, she rarely gets suspicious of Marshall himself, even encouraging him to fantasize about other women rather than be guilty about it and telling him to loosen up and enjoy himself when they go to a strip club.
* Maggie to [[Series/MrLucky Mr. Lucky]]. No matter what excuse he gives when he has to break a date with her, she assumes he's with another woman and, more often than not, tracks him down herself to find out the "truth." As far as we're told on the show, they're not even dating exclusively; apparently Maggie just considers him her own personal property.
* From ''Series/UnGarsUneFille'' (A Guy, A Girl) there's Sylvie (the titular Girl), who gets very jealous at the slightest provocation, and even tries to set her boyfriend Guy (the titular guy) in compromising cheating situations.
* Carly on ''Series/GeneralHospital'' was like this, to the point where she relentlessly bullied one guy's girlfriend until the poor girl finally gave up and left town, verbally and/or physically assaulted every girl or woman who dared to even ''talk'' to a man she was interested in or involved with, and ''continued'' to bully and berate the first girl when she returned to town, even though they had both moved on from the first guy.
* Both of Mark Green's wives on {{ER}} acted this way regarding his friendship with Susan Lewis. This is especially bad in the case of his first wife, given that (a) he repeatedly (and truthfully) assured her that nothing was going on between him and Susan, and (b) his WIFE was the one having an affair. And with his second wife as well, who rudely rebuffed several attempts Susan made at befriending her, and thought it was perfectly fine for HER to work closely with her ex-boyfriend, but horrible for Mark to work with someone he merely had UnresolvedSexualTension with.
* Lysa Arryn in ''Series/GameOfThrones'', so very much. She's always been jealous that Petyr Baelish loved her sister, Catelyn, who didn't love him back. When she marries Petyr in season 4, she gets very angry at the thought that Petyr might be romantically/sexually interested in Sansa, enough to physically hurt her own niece.

[[folder:Mythology]]
* The ultimate, original Clingy Jealous Girl would have to be Zeus' wife, Hera, in ClassicalMythology, whose stories are mostly about the myriad punishments she inflicted on her husband's few thousand human mistresses (never mind the fact that half the time, [[DoubleStandardRapeDivineOnMortal the relationship was]] ''[[DoubleStandardRapeDivineOnMortal not]]'' [[DoubleStandardRapeDivineOnMortal consensual]]). She's the goddess of ''family and marriage'' as well as the Queen of the Olympic Pantheon. No wonder she's pissed off.
** Subverted in that many versions of the myths state that Hera wasn't jealous; she just HATED Zeus (he did, after all, ''trick her into marrying him'') and only went after his love interests because she was too pragmatic to try to attack the king of the gods. In ContinuitySnarl, there are legends were Hera gets sick of Zeus & separates from him. When Hera does this, it creates problems for the mortal world until Zeus decides that he misses Hera so much that he asks Hermes to help win her back. There is also a myth, where after his first affair, she tried to kill him and was hung from a cloud by manacles until she repented of it.
* From ClassicalMythology, Theatre/{{Medea}}, whose wrath at being dumped by her husband Jason (for whom she had renounced to everything) is legendary. Interestingly, Jason managed to marry Medea due Hera's favor (he needed help to get the Golden Fleece, and Hera had Eros make Medea fall for him), but lost it when he dumped his wife. She decided to punish him for leaving her by ''murdering their children''.
* Aphrodite had her moments, despite not being the most faithful herself. She cursed Eos with insatiable lust for sleeping with Ares, who was Aphrodite's lover at that time. According to some myths she also instructed Nessos to have Deianeira soak a robe in his poisoned blood and present it to Heracles, causing his painful death. All for seducing Adonis, another one of her lovers.

[[folder:Newspaper Comics]]
* ''{{Peanuts}}'':
** Lucy van Pelt is obsessively infatuated with Schroeder and goes to ridiculous lengths to beat out her competition for his attention -- namely, his piano.
** Lucy's brother Linus also has to keep reminding Sally, Charlie Brown's sister, that "I'm not your 'sweet baboo'!"
* Hernia, Hamlet's (wannabe) girlfriend from the ''HagarTheHorrible'' comic strip. In one strip she sewed name tags onto his clothes with ''her'' name on them, and in another she chains him to the spot, which is bad for a wandering hunter.
* Andrea, a character from the Filipino newspaper comic ''[[http://www.beerkada.net/about/about-the-characters Beerkada]]'', had a peculiar way of clinging to her object of affection: she ''chomps down'' on the shoulder or neck of the guy and doesn't let go, earning her the nickname "Chompy." She later becomes his girlfriend.
* Anthony's fiancee, then wife, Therese from ''ForBetterOrForWorse'' behaved this way whenever his childhood girlfriend Elizabeth was around, even at their ''wedding''. Justified in that Anthony probably ''was'' cheating on her emotionally even then.
** Liz got a stint of this in her teens when she attempted to break up with Anthony before a school dance, only to get insanely jealous when the friend she asked to help her break up by proxy felt so bad for him that she offered to take him instead. As this occurred before [[TheUnfavorite most]] Pattersaints [[ProtagonistCenteredMorality could do no wrong]], Lynn repeatedly {{Lampshaded}} Liz's own responsiblity for the whole debacle.
* ''{{Luann}}'' features both Bernice, who harasses and smothers Zane (including ''asking him to marry her'' despite her being a teenager), and Luann herself, who obsesses over Aaron Hill and hates anyone he likes.
* Roxanne in ''{{Candorville}}'' is an extreme example, and apparently plans to [[MurderTheHypotenuse kill the girl Lemont really likes]]. She's also somewhat of a deconstruction in that she's never shown love for him, only a desire to control him and have him obey her every whim.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Puppet Shows]]
* Miss Piggy towards Kermit the Frog in ''TheMuppetShow'' and associated specials and movies, especially ''MuppetBabies''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Theater]]
* Nessarose from ''Theatre/{{Wicked}}'', who abuses her authority to keep Boq near her, enslaving him, and goes to the point of [[spoiler:shrinking his heart and turning him into the Tin Man]] to keep him from marrying [[AlphaBitch Glinda]]. It was Glinda's fault in the first place, as she tricked Boq into dating her.
* Helena in ''Theatre/AMidsummerNightsDream'', though to what extent is determined by the actress playing her. Some tug the heartstrings and others are just annoying. Though Shakespeare establishes that Demetrius ''definitely'' led her on, and other characters in the play call him out on courting her and then dropping her for her best friend.
* Amneris from Verdi's opera ''{{Aida}}.'' Hoo boy.
* Lucy from ''Theatre/{{Thirteen}}'', to the point where [[spoiler: she ruins her relationship with her best friend because she was his girlfriend, getting in a fight with said best friend, yelling at Brett for "flirting" (for example: saying "hi") to other girls, and starting a rumor about her former best friend with another guy when Brett dumps Lucy for her.]]
* Cleopatra from ''Theatre/AntonyAndCleopatra''.
* Fausta in DorothyLSayers's ''Theatre/TheEmperorConstantine''. Constantine divorced his wife to marry her -- albeit in a political match -- and is faithful to her, and she complains that he is faithful because he thinks it's the respectable thing to do.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Video Games]]
* Amy Rose from ''SonicTheHedgehog'' borders on the psycho stalker version (though just ''how'' close she is to being a StalkerWithACrush [[DependingOnTheWriter depends on the writer]]). And has a large hammer which she isn't afraid to use on Sonic if he refuses. ''It leaves behind a trail of hearts''.
** Her evil comic book counterpart, Rosy the Rascal, from an alternate evil universe. Unlike Amy, who has enough common sense to back down from her clingy tendencies and willing to help other potential female rivals out of concern for their well-being, Rosy is so mentally unstable that she believes the only way to get Scourge (anti-Sonic)'s attention is to smash him with her hammer... which, unlike Amy's, is COVERED IN SPIKES.
* Luna is this to [[HeroicMime Alex]] in the original ''VideoGame/LunarTheSilverStar''. Given that she spends a rather short stretch of the game with him, it leaves a bad impression. Talk to any female, and she'll snap back at him. It also doesn't help that [[NotBloodSiblings they were raised together since birth.]] The remakes tone this down considerably.
* Ruby the baby red dragon is this to [[TheHero Hiro]] in ''[[Lunar2EternalBlueComplete Lunar: Eternal Blue]]'' when it comes to [[MysteriousWaif Lucia]]; Hiro in this case is clearly smitten with Lucia.
* ''{{VideoGame/Persona 2}}'' has [[TokenMinority Lisa Silverman]], in a case where the protagonist (named Tatsuya) actually ''isn't'' dating her (although at one point late in the game, he's asked which of his four party members he loves the most, and Lisa is an option). Due to her low self-esteem, she actively pursues him, as he's considered the [[AllGirlsWantBadBoys popular bad boy]] of their school.
* Chihiro Fushimi in ''VideoGame/{{Persona 3}}'' is a rather minor version of this -- certainly clingier than the other girls, but not nearly as extreme as many others on this page. (Don't tell the fans that, though.) If you also opt to become romantically involved with [[TheResenter Yukari]], she will also become this. In Persona 3 Portable, ''[[RobotGirl Aigis]]'' becomes this for [[LesYay the Female Protagonist]].
* ''VideoGame/{{Persona 4}}'' has Ai Ebihara. Often while you're on a date with her, the two of you run into another of your female "friends". You then get to witness a grudge match where Ai chases off the other girl and then reprimands you for daring to speak to another girl while out with her. Unless the other girl is [[YamatoNadeshiko Yukiko]]; she actually manages to scare off ''Ai'' and then confronts you to find out just what you think you were doing with her. Fortunately, the MC is pimp enough to be able to easily defuse these situations without risk of a reversed S-Link. Yukiko apparently manages to cling more than Ai; if the above event happens, the MC will go out on a date with Yukiko instead and gain relationship points with her!
** Taken UpToEleven and PlayedForLaughs in [[Anime/Persona4TheAnimation the anime series]], where at some point Ai confronts Chie over [[spoiler: Kou Ichijou]]. She then slaps Chie across the face, and the deal ends up in a CatFight [[CrowningMomentOfFunny where they childishly pull on each other's cheeks.]]
* ''KingdomOfLoathing'' features "Clingy Pirate" as an opponent. If your character is male, she'll be a girl. She attacks by hugging you and hurting your feelings. You may simply beat her senseless like any other monster, or write a bogus phone number on a cocktail napkin so you won't have to fight her for a few dozen advetures.
* Clarine in ''FireEmblem: The Sealed Sword'' ''worships'' her older brother Klein to the point where she ''yells at another healer'' for healing Klein before she had the chance. [[WhatTheHellHero Klein is NOT happy when he finds out.]]
** In ''FE 4'', Sylvia is initially this towards Levin and gets annoyed with Fury for (supposedly) suggesting she's not good enough for him. She's also pretty insecure in her love talk with Levin if you pair them. Then again Sylvia is just 14, she isn't half as clingy when with other love interests (like Alec or Claude), and in the Oosawa manga it's explained that [[BecauseYouWereNiceToMe she has]] [[IOweYouMyLife her reasons]]...
** Maribelle in ''Awakening'' is this to Lissa at times. Her entire B support with Chrom has her asking him to keep a sharp eye on the men who look Lissa's way, and she flat-out says in their Harvest Scramble talk that she's sick of sharing Lissa with the others.
* Papillon from ''[[VideoGame/LaPucelle La Pucelle Tactics]]'' behaves this way towards Captain Homard. As she's an {{Expy}} of Tinkerbelle, who herself is quite the Clingy Jealous Girl towards Peter, this makes sense.
* Rare MMO example: in ''GuildWars'', players who cross into Cantha for the ''Factions'' campaign are treated to an exchange between the monk Mhenlo, his apparent girlfriend Cynn, and his "old friend" Jamei:
-->'''Cynn:''' That's Jamei? Mhenlo, he's a ''girl''! All those stories about your old friend growing up, and you never told me...\\
'''Brother Mhenlo:''' You never asked, Cynn, and I don't see that it matters.\\
'''Jamei:''' Ah, the stories. There are so many, eh, Mhenlo? I swear, it seems looking back that there was not a day we were apart.\\
'''Cynn:''' Not a day apart?! Listen lady, he may not be much, but that Monk is mine! Don't even think about it!\\
'''Brother Mhenlo:''' Now Cynn, calm down...\\
'''Jamei:''' Oh, Mhenlo! You got yourself a little girlfriend! How... sweet.\\
'''Cynn:''' "Little girl"?! Lady, this "little girl" will show you big pain if you're not careful....
* Marta in ''TalesOfSymphoniaDawnOfTheNewWorld.'' She ''immediately'' latches on to Emil. Thankfully, CharacterDevelopment settles in and she eventually grows to be a bit more reasonable about her love... though this does not prevent her from flipping out in skits and victory poses when Emil so much as compliments another girl.
-->'''Emil:''' Nice moves, Sheena.\\
'''Sheena:''' Thanks.\\
'''Marta:''' Noooo! I can't believe Emil is looking at Sheena's chest!\\
'''Emil:''' What? No I wasn't!
** This is reversed later on as Marta realizes what a {{Jerkass}} his alter ego is, yet at that point, it is he that applies TheDulcineaEffect to her. FridgeLogic results when you realize [[spoiler:he thought HumansAreTheRealMonsters and wanted to destroy them all.]]
* Iria from ''VideoGame/TalesOfInnocence'' also counts with a twist: she is not in love with Luca [[spoiler: (at least not in their current lives)]]. She simply loathes the other girl who is in love with Luca [[spoiler: because they were love rivals in their past lives]]. Seeing Luca talking to Chitose is Iria's BerserkButton.
* Even though Neeshka is not romanceable in an unmodded ''NeverwinterNights2'', she gets very... possessive if the main character is male and he's paying attention to any of the other females in the party. [[EpilepticTrees Fan speculation]] supposes that she was once intended as an actual romance, though other than the aforementioned clinginess and overjoy at being praised there's no hard evidence of this (i.e., no cut dialogue files).
** The romanceable Elanee isn't much better, though she at least seems to save her jealousy for women inside the party, whereas Neeshka is ready to unleash it on random dancers.
** One community expansion, entitled Dark Avenger, gives a villain a Clingy Jealous Girlfriend who he's trying to get rid of so he can exercise his AnythingThatMoves tendencies.
* ''VideoGame/KnightsOfTheOldRepublic 2'' gives examples from both genders in cut content. Visas, the Handmaiden, Atton, and the Disciple all have a cutscene on Malachor in which they attack whichever character of the same gender the player has been paying more attention to (i.e. has a higher Influence score with).
* Anise from ''VideoGame/TalesOfTheAbyss'' fits the bill for the first half of the game. Ironically, her interest in Luke stems not from genuine affection, but more from the fact that she desperately wants to marry into money.
* Kiki, the lawyer girlfriend from ''VideoGame/GrandTheftAutoIV'', has some serious psychological problems when it comes to relationships. If you wear inappropriate clothing she will berate you for letting "your other whore" dress you up for your date, and if you get her drunk she'll chew you out for supposedly checking out another girl at a bar. She is also ''very'' possessive but sweet, a definite Type B {{Tsundere}}, sending you text messages that alternate between "This is a picture of me thinking of you, I love you so much!" and "Come date me when you're not fucking one of your whores."
* Yoshio Saotome's younger sister Yumi, from ''TokimekiMemorial''. Not only she's one of the girls who'll fall faster for the main guy (as well as the youngest, meaning she's more immature than the rest), she also can "bomb" him ''very'' easily out of envy (meaning, their relationship will go sour and ''all'' the other girls will lose interest in him) ''and'' has a special event triggered by seeing the local SupremeChef, Saki, sharing her food with the boy.
** Also Minori Akiho... [[LesYay towards Saki.]]
** And in ''Tokimeki Memorial 2'', [[VictoriousChildhoodFriend Hikari]], and when she's in love with the protagonist, [[{{Tsundere}} Mei]] (leading to an Event - appropriately named "You are my 'only' slave" - where she delivers the quote above).
** Also, [[spoiler: Miyako]] from ''Tokimeki Memorial 4''. Who even [[spoiler: goes the {{Yandere}} route.]]
* Reika from ''GetterLove''. If she finds you, she'll follow you around for a game-day, chase off any other girls you try to talk to, and generally ruin your day, unless you use certain cards or get lucky enough to run into your good buddy Alfonso.
* Tsubaki Yayoi from ''VideoGame/BlazBlue'' is a rather good example with a dose of LoveMakesYouEvil. She really does love Jin Kusaragi, but thanks to [[spoiler: Yuuki Terumi/Hazama]]'s manipulations that lead her to believe that her best friend [[spoiler: Noel Vermillion]] ''stole'' her rightful place to be with him, this becomes her driving point to madness. [[spoiler: She still can't bring herself to murder Noel in ''Continuum Shift'', however, despite Terumi's manipulations.]]
* Elis in ''{{Canvas 2}}'' gets very jealous whenever Hiroki shows interest in anyone apart from her. Except for one case where she feels completely outclassed by her 'opponent.'
* Eiko in ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyIX'' is extremely jealous that Zidane only has eyes for Garnet/Dagger.
* Etna from ''VideoGame/DisgaeaHourOfDarkness'' harbored a crush on King Krichevskoy after he, the first person to show her kindness, took her in. However, he later married, so she... didn't approve. She initially hated their son Laharl for existing because of that.
* According to TheOtherWiki, Succubi from ''VideoGame/WorldOfWarcraft'' frequently fall in love with their summoners and become insanely jealous of any members of the opposite sex their summoners meet.
* Maybe belongs in FanFic, but among the ''[[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaOcarinaOfTime Ocarina of Time]]'' fandom, Ruto will usually fill this role [[DieForOurShip when she's the rival for Link's affection]]. And occasionally when she's the female lead.
* Morrigan becomes one of these in ''VideoGame/DragonAgeOrigins'' if romanced (her new CatchPhrase: "I ''do not'' share!"), despite her loud and frequent protests that she and the Warden are just FriendsWithBenefits.
** [[TheChick Leliana]] of the same game may disagree with Morrigan on [[BettyAndVeronica many things]], but one thing that she does agree with her is this: she will ''not'' tolerate the Warden even looking at another woman if romanced. Woe betide a male Warden who [[GuideDangIt accidentally]] romances them [[CatFight both]].
* In ''VideoGame/DuelSaviorDestiny'' Taiga's little sister tends to be all over him and tries getting in the way of his relationships with mixed success. In her own route, she takes it up a couple notches.
* Mai Shiranui from FatalFury and TheKingOfFighters. She thankfully doesn't get jealous towards other women, but is pissy as HELL because her would-be boyfriend Andy would rather team up with his older brother Terry and their common friend Joe than her, which also doubles as her believing he doesn't take her worth and ActionGirl skills seriously enough to form a BattleCouple with her. That's one of the biggest reasons why she ''always'' chases after him.
** Subverted by Athena Asamiya in the KOF: KYO continuity. She ''seemed'' to be heading here at first in the KOF:KYO manga, transferring to Kyo's highschool to be close to him and see the extent of his powers after [[AllAmazonsWantHercules he fought and defeated her in KOF]], but she dropped said attitude almost immediately after learning that Kyo already has a girlfriend (Yuki) ''and'' after Iori Yagami showed up at the school grounds. From then on, they seem to be more of PlatonicLifePartners.
* The ''PacManWorld'' games establish Pinky to be this towards Pac-Man.
* In ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyX2'', Yuna gets mad when she sees a recording of what ''looks'' like her lover Tidus, but is actually Shuyim, talking about saving a girl named Lenne.

[[folder:Visual Novels]]
* Rizu in ''VisualNovel/AProfile'' [[spoiler:as a result of trauma]] was extremely clingy with Masayuki in the backstory. Though she's better now, she's largely responsible for screwing up a large amount of his relationships... and she knows it too.
* In ''VisualNovel/{{Clannad}}'', after drinking one cup of sake, Nagisa becomes this in regard to her own ''mother''. Sanae gets drunk and fuels the whole thing further as well. Needless to say, HilarityEnsues.
* Pearl Fey from the second and third ''VisualNovel/PhoenixWrightAceAttorney'' games fits this trope. She's jealous not for her own sake, but for her cousin Maya, whom she's convinced is romantically involved with Phoenix. She will not hesitate to slap Phoenix up and down if he fails to be sufficiently romantic (which is often).
* Touko in ''VisualNovel/{{Suika}}'', to a rather disturbing extent.
* Akiha Tohno of ''VisualNovel/{{Tsukihime}}'' tends to not trust any woman Shiki associates with, but that's normal jealousy, not clinging...except [[spoiler:during Kohaku's storyline, where she deals with Shiki's rejection rather violently. She was, admittedly, [[NotHimself not herself]] at the time.]]
** Outside of the original VisualNovel, however, Akiha more firmly falls into this trope. Shiki's awareness of this seems on-and-off, but it's illustrated rather poignantly in ''Kagetsu Tohya'', when a minor (female) character is reduced to near-incoherent terror at the thought of being seen with Shiki by Akiha. [[RightBehindMe Poor, poor Seo...]]
** In Ciel's route in the VN both Arcueid Brunestud AND Ciel become this, just to give an idea about how bad Arcueid gets. In this route you learn why Arcueid is so infamous when [[spoiler:she sits back and lets Shiki's [[MindRape mind get raped]] for a while so she can use it as leverage to make him her servant so that he'll have to be by her side for the rest of his life]]. Plus all the evil glares, or what happens if she is rejected (True End).
* Sakura Matou in ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'' exhibits some of these tendencies, particularly in her own route, and especially when the potential rival is [[TheAce Rin]] [[{{Tsundere}} Tohsaka]]. She does, at least, have an excuse: her [[HeroicSelfDeprecation lack of self-worth]] leads her to not really understand that Shirou likes her for who she is, and [[InsecureLoveInterest she's constantly scared that he'll fall for some other, "better" girl]] [[PleaseDontLeaveMe and leave her alone.]] Due to her personality, all she really does is go rather cold and quiet whenever Shirou's being friendly with another girl.
* Mizuhara in ''KaraNoShoujo'' has a borderline yandere fixation on Toko, meaning that while Reiji is one of the few people or things she claims not to hate[[note]]Indeed, if you get her sex scene she actually seems attracted to him[[/note]] she is always very hostile towards him. [[spoiler:Ends up getting Toko hit by a truck.]]
* As mentioned above, both Sekai and Kotonoha are this in ''VisualNovel/SchoolDays''. Also [[AlphaBitch Otome]]: she already bullied Kotonoha alongside her GirlPosse, but the bullying ''increased thousandfold'' when Kotonoha became one of Makoto's love interests.
* [[spoiler: Hanako Ikezawa]] shows some slight tendences of this in KatawaShoujo. She's [[FragileFlower too sweet and shy]] to fit the trope completely, but she is shown to become anxious whenever Hisao looks at or spends time with other girls or women. Her anxiety is somewhat understandable because [[spoiler: despite his feelings for her and them growing close, Hisao doesn't actually show any signs of attraction towards Hanako until the very end -- ironically, ''out of fear of scaring her off''.]] Her anxiety over losing Hisao to someone else- [[spoiler:her best friend Lilly, whom she feels is more attractive, and even ''the route-less Yuuko'']]- ultimately causes her to [[spoiler: initiate sex with him, despite neither of them being emotionally ready for it yet.]]
* [[PatientChildhoodLoveInterest Mikae Morikawa]] from VisualNovel/TrueLoveJunaiMonogatari. She doesn't go after the girls for catty revenge, thankfully, but she takes her jealousy on the MC. '''A lot.''' [[spoiler: And please, ''please'' [[BerserkButton don't make her think that you're leading her on]]. [[PlayerPunch PLEASE]].]]
* Yukino in ''VisualNovel/MyGirlfriendIsThePresident''. The only thing that can make her really angry is somebody taking Junichiro away from her. At one point she bans exports of Junichiro to prevent Putina from taking him to Rusia.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Web Comics]]
* Helene from ''[[http://www.avalonhigh.com Avalon]]'', although she never really snaps at Ceilidh. It might be because Ceilidh wouldn't give Alan the time of day... or because Helene's dumb as a post ([[spoiler:[[ObfuscatingStupidity or at least would rather seem that way]]]]).
* Melissa of ''Webcomic/ElGoonishShive'', was a Clingy Jealous Girl around Justin -- a StraightGay whom she inadvertently outed. [[IJustWriteTheThing To the writer's surprise]] her [[CharacterDevelopment character developed]] until she wasn't one any more.
* Oasis of ''Webcomic/SluggyFreelance'' takes this to the [[AxeCrazy extreme]], attempting to [[http://www.sluggy.com/daily.php?date=000426 kidnap Torg and kill any rivals for his affection]].
* Put Emily and Missi from ''Webcomic/{{Misfile}}'' in the same room as [[GenderBender Ash]] and watch them both try and outdo each other in the Clingy Jealous Girl stakes. Actually, put any possible partner for Ash in the same room as Emily and watch the jealousy flow. She and Ash [[JustFriends are only friends]].
* In ''TheInexplicableAdventuresOfBob'', Jean Poule tends to get extremely possessive of Bob whenever Princess Voluptua shows up. Even Jean is startled by her own behavior in these situations.
* For some reason, many ''LyricalNanoha'' FanWebComics portray [[LesYay Fate as this in regards to Nanoha]], such as this ''[[http://ashitahadocchida.sakura.ne.jp/top.html A's/StrikerS Nano]]'' ([[http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/8400/strikersnano51trs.png sample strip]]) and ''[[http://www.entropymax.com/ Nanoha StrikeOut]]'' ([[http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/6263/nanohaso06tr.gif sample strip]]).
* Angela from ''PunchAnPie'' is a rare example of the ClingyJealousGirl as the main (or at least co-main) character. It is given a realistic treatment, as her girlfriend Heather breaks up with her over it.
** She's also one of the more extreme examples, as MistakenForCheating comes into play with every single one of Heather's friends.
--> '''Heather:''' I WAS HUGGING HER GOODBYE!
* In ''{{Catena}}'', Ivy has shown tendencies of this sort upon discovering Bear paying attention to another girl.
* Lucy of ''BittersweetCandyBowl'' is an example of this, although she tries very hard indeed not to show it.
* X of ''AMagicalRoommate'' is so obsessed with keeping her status as the most important person in her twin sister's life that she got into the habit of scaring her boyfriends off with explosives. It got to the point that Alexis was forced to keep her engagement a secret from her sister until the day of the wedding, and needed to have security on hand to prevent the inevitable SpeakNowOrForeverHoldYourPeace that X attempted.
* Yuki of ''Webcomic/MenageA3'' is clingy to both Yuki and Gary. In one strip, she floors Didi when Didi asks her to give up on Gary so he can give her an orgasm and tells her "Gary. Is. Mine."
* Zimmy from ''Webcomic/GunnerkriggCourt'' is incredibly possessive of her best friend/love Gamma, to the point of freaking out if someone touches her or speaks to her.
* In MSFHigh, Lana, the local Yandre becomes violent the second someone even so much as looks at Donovan.

* Lois from ''FamilyGuy'' has expressed jealousy towards any women who gained Peter's attention.
** Meg. Anyone willing to show kindness to her beyond her status as a ButtMonkey will become an object of her obsession.
* Elena Potato in ''MonsterAllergy'' falls under this trope in when it comes to Lay Mamery, a girl Tamer.
* Lizzie towards Numbuh One in ''WesternAnimation/CodeNameKidsNextDoor''.
* In ''WesternAnimation/CodeLyoko'', Sissi towards Ulrich, although he has no interest in her. Yumi can act jealous too at times, but isn't very clingy.
* Thunderblast ''tries'' to be like this in ''TransformersCybertron'', despite the fact that neither Megatron nor Starscream actually care. It later turns out she just acts like the whore to whoever happens to be in charge at the time in order to secure more power for herself.
* Wendy, a few times to Stan, when they were dating at least, in ''WesternAnimation/SouthPark''.
** Once, she actually gets her substitute teacher (who Stan has a crush on) kidnapped by terrorists and catapulted into the sun, even though the teacher was in fact a lesbian. And earlier, she stays after class to tell the teacher "Don't fuck with me!" You can't get much more extreme than that.
* Helga is this to Arnold of ''HeyArnold''.
* Starfire directed towards Robin in the animated version of ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitans''.
* Sam to Danny Fenton and Paulina to WesternAnimation/DannyPhantom.
* On ''{{Jimmy Two-Shoes}}'', [[EnfantTerrible Heloise]] got pretty mad when she saw what appeared to be [[ObliviousToLove Jimmy]] dating [[RichBitch Jez]] when in reality, Jimmy was only keeping Jez company so Lucius could date her after his business. Also, several episodes have centered around her being jealous of Jimmy's [[HoYay friendship]] with Beezy.
* There are a few from ''TheFairlyOddparents'': Tootie to Timmy is the most obvious example, and [[GreenSkinnedSpaceBabe Mandie]] to Mark and [[RichBitch Trixie]] to Timmy in "Just the Two of Us!" take it to its logical extreme.
* ''WesternAnimation/EdEddNEddy'': The Kanker sisters, especially Marie.
* KimPossible practically went insane when Ron went off with Yori. Everyone else [[EveryoneCanSeeIt could tell]] she was jealous.
* Suzy from ''PhineasAndFerb'' sure does hate it when any other girl gets attention from her big brother, Jeremy.
** While not nearly as malevolent as Suzy, Candace has this going on sometimes as well. Any time Jeremy's around another girl (or the foreign exchange student who looks like one), Candace isn't going to take it well.
* Courtney to Duncan in ''[[WesternAnimation/TotalDramaIsland Total Drama Action]]''.
* ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'', "Griffon the Brush-Off": Gilda threatens Pinkie Pie with physical harm for coming between [[LesYay her and her old friend Rainbow Dash]].
** In the season 2 finale, everyone views Twilight Sparkle as acting this way concerning [[BigBrotherWorship Shining Armor]], hence her opposition of Princess Cadance, his fiance. [[spoiler:She's actually ProperlyParanoid, as a {{shapeshifting}} imposter has taken Cadance's place.]]
* Lo becomes this regarding Reef in season two of ''{{Stoked}}!''.
* Linka from CaptainPlanet showed two or three signs of this towards Wheeler, despite being ''very'' {{tsundere}} for him as well.
