[[LoveTropes Romantic relationships]], {{sex|Tropes}}, and romantic and sexual attraction are staples of fiction, and--unless you're dealing with {{asexual|ity}} characters or a NoHuggingNoKissing setting--characters will express at least some desire for it. The vast majority of the time male characters are attracted to women and female characters are attracted to men, there are some [[QueerAsTropes gay and lesbian characters]], and very rarely you'll get a {{bi|TheWay}}sexual character (unless it's a QueerRomance, where naturally the last two categories are more common), but others aren't so definite. Sometimes there's a male/female character who doesn't express interest in women/men but does seems to show interest in people the same gender as they; they're AmbiguouslyGay. Then there are characters that seemingly show romantic and/or sexual interest in people of multiple genders; they're Ambiguously Bi.

Most of the time this character's interest in people of a different gender to them is explicitly stated or written to be obvious, while their interest in people the same gender as them is subtle or downplayed, but the inverse does exist. Characters with a {{Heterosexual Life Partner|s}} are especially prone to this, as while they might have an actual love interest of a different gender or try to get a love interest through flirting and having crushes on women, the relationship with their HLP often has a romantic/sexual element as well. GettingCrapPastTheRadar can be a reason for this trope, the writers wanting to include hints a character is gay or bi but with enough heterosexuality to appease the MoralGuardians.

It should be noted that what makes a character Ambiguously Bi and what differentiates them from BiTheWay characters is largely a matter of opinion. The character does not have to officially be declared bi to qualify. As the latter page demonstrates, the B word doesn't have to outright be said to make a character qualify, and, as NoBisexuals demonstrates, even if a character is clearly bisexual to the audience, much of the time the writers donít consider it as a possibility. Obviously, some form of attraction to people of different genders is required, but the exact extent varies; for some people, an offhand comment or a prolonged glance can be enough; for others, nothing short of onscreen sex can suggest bisexuality as a possibility. Characters who express IfItsYouItsOkay further muddle the issue, as, by definition, that makes a character bisexual, but there ''are'' otherwise straight, gay, and lesbian people in real life who do have exceptions to the "rule" of their sexuality.

Compare/Contrast AmbiguouslyGay, AmbiguousGenderIdentity, BiTheWay, and DepravedBisexual.

[[folder:Anime and Manga]]
* ''Manga/{{Adekan}}'':
** Ippei falls for Anri when he thinks he's a girl while he's DisguisedInDrag and also gets quite close and fanboyish around Kojiro.
** Shiro is occassionally seen with scantily clad woman and also doesn't mind getting intimate with Anri or Koujiro but often protests against [[EvenTheGuysWantHim the many guys that are attracted to him]] and denies being into men.
** Kojiro is a ChickMagnet with a fondness for girls and in regards to boys he can get quite close with Shiro and Ippei, but also maintains disgust for it being assumed he's interested in men when it's commented on by other people.
** Umeno-suke is crazy for Mutsukuchi-sama (a beautiful female) and also demonstrates some interest in Shiro and Anri even after discovering they're male, calling them "beautiful" and "sensual".
* In ''Anime/AngelBeats'', Hinata often tells Otonashi he likes him (it's used as a joke, maybe). Later, he tells Yui he likes her and would marry her if they met when they were still alive.
* Leone from ''Anime/AkameGaKill'' is definitely one of these, so much that it's arguable how ambiguous she really is. She acts like a huge tease towards Tatsumi, claiming him as her "territory" shortly after meeting him. But she also seems to have a crush on Akame, and interests with her in much the same way.
* Rosiel of ''Manga/AngelSanctuary''. NoSenseOfPersonalSpace in a CastFullOfPrettyBoys? Yes. Combine with [[FashionVictimVillain the outfits]] and dilute with NoSexAllowed [[CrapsaccharineWorld In Heaven]]? ''Oh yes''.
* Reiner Braun from ''Manga/AttackOnTitan''. He claims to be gay in one conversation, but has been known to express the desire to marry [[DudeMagnet Krista]] whenever she's kind to him, and has stated his [[DeclarationOfProtection intentions]] to protect her. [[spoiler:He's also shown to be suffering from [[BecomingTheMask identity]] problems, and is a spy and confirmed liar]], as such it's unclear whether he's genuinely gay, bisexual, or just messing with everyone.
* ''Webcomic/AxisPowersHetalia'':
** Prussia is implied to like Hungary and also likes Italy very much, going so far as to ask him on a date. He stalks and teases Austria and has HoYay with him and seems jealous of his relationship with Hungary for whatever reason.
** Germany acts awkward around woman suggesting he has an attraction to them but also has a HoYay ridden relationship with Italy that toes the line between text and subtext.
* ''Manga/AzumangaDaioh'':
** Minamo has a rather LesYay filled relationship with her friend Yukari, and Yukari mentions [[NoodleIncident a love letter in the past]] (the manga confirms they went to an all-girls school, so unless she fell for a male teacher or a boy outside of school it's probable she gave a girl the letter). Still she talks about dating men and has been implied to have had sex with them.
** Kaorin has a SingleTargetSexuality towards Sakaki yet when confronted on it she gets flustered and says she wouldn't mind if Sakaki was male. It's hard to tell if she's deeply closeted about being lesbian, is bisexual, or if Sakaki is the [[IfItsYouItsOkay exception]] for her.
* Graham Spectre from ''LightNovel/{{Baccano}}'' tends to come off like this. His utterly massive man-crush on Ladd Russo, his [[NoSenseOfPersonalSpace complete disregard for the personal space]] for pretty much every male he comes in contact with, offhand comments about other men's attractiveness ("Firo, or whatever his name wasÖ Who could have expected such a cute face to ever be capable of such [[{{Fingore}} horrifying cruelty?]]"), and ''then'' there's that thing he seems to have for Jacuzzi ("Should I let this woman go in deference to you locking up my heart?"), which peaks when he waltzes up to Jacuzzi entirely unprovoked and declares "I like you", [[http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/justmakeoutalready.jpg while cocking his head as if he were about to kiss him]] before telling him he has free access to his warehouse and wandering off. But he also expresses some interest in Chane, claims that he [[LikesOlderWomen likes older women]], and he [[AllThereInTheManual supposedly]] has a thing for [[BrotherSisterIncest his own sister]]. He's [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} a]] [[AxCrazy total]] [[TalkativeLoon nut]], so who knows.
* ''VisualNovel/BakaAndTestSummonTheBeasts''
** Hideyoshi is flustered whenever he's forced into the girls dressing room, suggesting that he may be attracted to women. While he's annoyed by all of the male attention he gets, Akihisa included, there are occasional hints that he may like Akihisa as more than a friend, which pushes him into this territory.
** Akihisa's borderline obsession with Hideyoshi, which, while seemingly excused by his confusion over the latter's gender, is made rather ambiguous by the occasions when Akihisa admits that he knows Hideyoshi is a guy. He's also quite touchy feely with both Yuuji and Kouta, which is once again always played for laughs and is a CluelessChickMagnet (he occasionally shows interest in the girls who like him).
* Suruga of ''LightNovel/{{Bakemonogatari}}''. Despite declaring herself a lesbian, she seems to have a number of lewd ideas involving Koyomi.
* ''Manga/{{Berserk}}''
** Griffith at least before the Eclipse where he probably doesn't concern himself with sexuality or romance anymore. Even though we know that Griffith [[spoiler:screwed Princess Charlotte just to make himself feel better after Guts left]], he might very well have had some unrequited feelings for both Guts ''and'' Casca, judging from how a) he was a complete {{Yandere}} when it came to Guts and even is depicted thinking about him while having sex with Charlotte in the movie, b) before activating his crimson behelit a la DespairEventHorizon, Griffith did have a vision of [[spoiler:he and Casca sharing a quiet, peaceful life together, [[BabiesEverAfter child and all]]]], and c) he gave Guts and Casca the KubrickStare when it was evident that they had become a couple.
** Also, [[spoiler:DarkMagicalGirl Rosine]]. [[RomanticTwoGirlFriendship Platonic or not]], she has a very strong obsession with having [[spoiler:her MoralityPet Jill]] stay with her after being separated for so long. Which she demonstrates by telling Guts that Jill is "hers" after realizing that Jill has somewhat of a crush on him. While flirting with him, commenting on his attractiveness, and attempting to kill him. And later, when Jill definitely refuses her WeCanRuleTogether offer, Rosine captures her and tries to turn her into one of her pseudo-Elves by force.
* ''Manga/BetrayalKnowsMyName'':
** Luka was Yuki's lover when Yuki was a girl but also seems to still have feelings for Yuki now that he's been reincarnated as a boy.
** Hotsuma shows a {{Tsundere}} side around both girls and boys (Yuki especially) and when Shuusei spent at least one former life as a girl, she and Hotsuma were married then. After this is revealed Hotsuma starts talking about how beautiful the female Shuusei was, and how beautiful male Shuusei would be if he wore girls clothes, and it all ends with Luka calling them on acting like a married couple still and walking away to the sound of Hotsuma's vain protests.
* Several of the boys in ''Manga/BigWindup'' have expressed very explicit interest in girls but they have a lot HoYay between each other.
* ''Manga/BirdMen'' gives us Eishi Karasuma, a pessimistic boy who finds his friend Tsubame attractive, gets a sudden crush on a female classmate, and then comes across as blushing and flustered more often than not around Takayama.
* ''Manga/BlackButler'' has several characters like this, given their tendency to engage in HoYay.
** Viscount Druitt takes a liking to the maid Hannah and plenty of pretty ladies, but also appears to flirt with Ciel both when he's DisguisedInDrag and when he's dressed normally as a boy. He also comments on [[DudeLooksLikeALady Joanne's]] looks and gets very excited when he looks at Edward in the behind the scenes episode and sees flowers and BishieSparkle. However, in one strip he acts completely disinterested and even shows contempt towards guys at his party instead preferring girls.
** Sebastian did have sex with Matilda and Beast, and also has a ton of blatant HoYay with Ciel and other males.
** Ciel gets this with his blatant HoYay with Sebastian especially and other males and his romantic feelings for his fiancée Lizzie.
** Elizabeth is pretty much an OfficialCouple with Ciel as they are happily engaged to be married, and is implied to be turned on in the behind the scenes episode for season II when she watches Ran Mao treat Meirin in an intimate and flirtatious manner. She responds very excitedly to seeing this and takes pictures. Also, in terms of merchandise, the 2016 Funtom Café includes a Valentine's Day-exclusive charm of what looks like Elizabeth giving Sieglinde a heart-shaped chocolate while the two girls are inside a bottle filled with chocolates. They were also depicted together for the Valentine's Day picture the year prior. She also is very appreciative of Nina when she hit on her and chased Meirin around once because she wanted to dress her up and make her cuter.
** Edgar enjoys dancing with ladies but his [[HoYay interactions]] with Ciel are suspect. There's also his actions around Joanne.
** Ran-Mao sits on Lau's lap and acts flirtatiously around him and Ciel but also once stripped Meirin in the behind the scenes episode and had them both [[SexyShirtSwitch switch clothing]] before rubbing Meirin's thigh seductively and grabbing her boobs.
** The Trancy triplet Timber is attracted to the beautiful maid Hannah, comments that Alois's crying is cute, and says that he'd be willing to love Alois because of how heated and violent he can be. However, he also says that he doesn't know what Alois finds so attractive about Claude.
** Bravat comments on the feminine features of a busty woman and Elizabeth's more flat chest, implying that he likes well proportioned woman, as well as acting ambiguously [[HoYay flirtatious]] to Sebastian and calling him pretty.
** Lau has Ran Mao on his lap as eye candy and appears quite close with her. He also shows signs of being teasingly flirtatious towards Ciel.
** Meirin is definitely attracted to Sebastian but shows some questionable moments around females. Chapter 93 features Meirin [[CovertPervert peeking through her fingers]] when Snake's pet snakes slithers in between a maids boobs with the maid saying "Not there!" In season 2 of the anime when the sexy maid Hannah sticks her fingers in her mouth to wet them to play an instrument we see Finnian, Baldroy, and Meirin blushing and looking interested at the sight. Also, Meirin and Ran Mao get some LesYay in the behind the scenes OVA where Ran Mao pins a struggling Meirin down to strip her, and the scene is censored before we see they have switched clothes with Meirin blushing as Ran Mao caresses her thigh and grabs her boobs. Meirin calls Angela "beautiful", takes care of her, and nosebleeds at the sight of Angela getting it on with Pluto.
* ''Manga/BlackLagoon'': Revy acts as a ClingyJealousGirl to Rock and once hinted at a possible past sexual experience playing the man's role to a group of women while in prison. She claims, whether truthfully or not, to have been so good that the women couldn't acheive orgasm with their fingers anymore. She then threatens Jane to make her sexual partner if she tried to rope Rock into an orgy.
* ''Manga/{{Bleach}}'': Riruka falls to her knees when first taking a glimpse at Ichigo's face and later acts {{Tsundere}} towards him. She also takes a great deal of interest in Orihime. She invades Orihime's personal space, shares her doughnuts with her; they end up sharing a bed when recovering and secretly appreciates Orihime crying for her. When she returns to the action, she isn't just tsundere with Ichigo, she focuses on Orihime, too. The Chapter 451 cover also depicts them together under an UmbrellaOfTogetherness.
* ''TheCaseStudyOfVanitas'':
** Vanitas gets HoYay with Noe from the beginning on, telling him occasionally that he's very interesting. He also flirts with Jeanne heavily and professes love for her though its not clear whether its genuine or just him messing around.
** Johann mentions that he thinks Vanitas "has a pretty dishy (attractive) face" with a heart in his speech bubble. He also throws an arm around Dante to pull him close and worries about a female comrade, claiming to know a lot about the female heart, and hugging her when he finds her.
* When Ryou and Nagisa meet in ''VisualNovel/{{Clannad}}'', Ryou thinks it's a love confession. She ''accepts'' before noticing it wasn't that.
* ''Anime/CodeGeass''
** Suzaku has a canon love interest in Euphemia, and flirts with Lelouch quite a bit. In one of the extra "Q and A sessions" with the characters, Suzaku is asked who the most important person in his life is. He answers he can't choose between Euphie and Lelouch.
** Lelouch himself: for all his tendencies to come off as attracted to men, he has enough moments with females that it's a bit hard to assume he is completely one way or the other.
* Most likely Jeremy and definitely Ian from ''Manga/ACruelGodReigns'', although theirs may be more a case of IfItsYouItsOkay. Also hinted at with Jeremy's roommate William.
* Tome from ''Manga/TheDaughterOfTwentyFaces''. The finale hints that she may have something going on with a male detective character, but a much earlier episode seemed to insinuate that she's attracted to women. After hearing Tome say that she used to play flirty games with other girls when she was a teen, Chiko and Shunka wonder aloud [[SchoolgirlLesbians what that means]].
* Tsukushi and Kazama from ''Manga/{{Days}}'' are both explicitly into girls but have heavy HomoeroticSubtext with each other, even for a sports series. Kazama gets happy just remembering Tsukushi's smiling face (not soon after they met at that), he gets [[BerserkButton easily offended]] when people say things about Tsukushi, they hug quite a bit, and Kazama even [[spoiler:thanks his mother for giving birth to him because he met Tsukushi]].
* ''Manga/DeathNote'':
** Strong hints abound that Touta Matsuda is this, if not just outright gay - though he does seem attracted to Light's sister Sayu in the second half of the series. He is known to be quite "fond" of Light, following him in a manner that could easily be indicative of a crush. His actions near the end as [[spoiler:he shoots Light and screams at him]] almost look like the reaction of a lover learning the truth about his significant other. And then there's his throwing an arm around a blushing male coworker...
** Sayu, whose interest seems to be primarily in women; she happily flips through the PornStash she finds in her brother's room, states that Misa is "her type", and says she has no interest in dating men. However, she also mentions having a crush on a male celebrity, and when she's 18, she says that she might consider dating Matsuda if he were closer to her own age.
** L claims to be attracted to Misa (even though he says he finds her annoying), but he has enough HoYay[=/=]FoeRomanceSubtext with Light to power a small village. L also has NoSocialSkills, so his tendency to stare creepily at/obsess over men and women might just be him being weird.
** Possibly Matt. He's very close and devoted to his companion, Mello, and lives with him. On the other hand, he definitely takes notice of Misa and comments on how attractive she is.
* ''Manga/DescendantsOfDarkness'': Tsuzuki is very frequently attracted to women, but also enjoys flirting with and teasing Hisoka on occasion. However, he has also called BoysLove "icky".
* Lavi of ''Manga/DGrayMan'' goes nuts whenever he sees a pretty girl but he also seemingly has considerable HoYay towards Allen and Kanda.
* ''Manga/DNAngel'': It's hinted that Satoshi Hiwatari may have feelings for Risa, and in the anime it's hinted that he may have romantic feelings for Daisuke. When this is brought up, he doesn't openly confess to anything, though he never denies the accusations either. If anything, he encourages the idea, which has led to the source of much confusion regarding his motives. It has been stated outright by Dark that Daisuke is the one who causes Satoshi to turn into Krad. Krad himself has hinted at Satoshi possibly wanting more than a friendship from Daisuke at least once in the anime, and more than twice in the manga. In any case, he at least wants to be close to Daisuke despite the danger of Krad to both of them.
* ''Anime/DigimonAdventure02'' has a few notable instances:
** Davis/Daisuke Motomiya has a blatant, albeit one-sided, crush on Hikari and is shown to be very jealous of Takeru's close friendship with Hikari. Despite this, he has a LOT of HoYay moments with Ken Ichijouji (and even FoeYay when the latter was still the Digimon Emperor), even if a lot of them are thanks to the nature of Jogress Evolution such as being able to hear Ken's heart. When Ken gets kidnapped, the two characters who show the most concern for his safety are Wormmon and Daisuke!
** Yolei/Miyako Inoue is shown to like boys, most notably Ken [[spoiler:(whom she ends up marrying in the future)]] and Michael. Then there is the infamous "Mimi fantasy" where it appears that she has a crush on Mimi Tachikawa.
** Veemon seems to have a crush on Tailmon/Gatomon [[BigLippedAlligatorMoment which comes out of nowhere, lasts for about 10 seconds and is never brought up or mentioned again]]. But the way he talks to and acts around Daisuke really makes it seem like he considers Daisuke something more than just a friend...
* ''VisualNovel/{{Durarara}}'':
** Izaya loves humanity. In the light novels, Izaya thinks that Mikado is "humanity itself!" He also directs other HoYay towards Mikado and has told a girl trying to kill him that he loves her and jokingly comments on her becoming his "girlfriend". He also comments to Celty that he's not turned on by her disembodied head (like Seiji is) or her headless body (like Shinra is) implying that he is turned on by woman in general.
** Mikado has a [[{{Yandere}} psychotic devotion]] to Kida and Anri and is mutually fascinated with Izaya.
* Soushi Minashiro in ''Anime/FafnerInTheAzureDeadAggressor''. He has a very intense relationship with Kazuki, and the first season of the show deals extensively with the two of them struggling to understand one another. In the movie he hugs Kazuki quite intimately from behind while vowing [[spoiler: to return to his side]]. However, the official relationship chart for the second season states that he may be interested in Maya.
* ''Manga/FairyTail'':
** Lucy certainly enjoys pinups of Mirajane, and is awfully... impressed by Erza, yet she's also shown attraction to Leo, and has a decent amount of ShipTease with both Natsu and Gray.
** Speaking of Lucy: Levy, who was fangirling Lucy when she was introduced, but later seemed to develop a crush on Gajeel while not really dropping her flirty nature around Lucy.
** As of the second half of the series onwards we have Cana, while she has mentioned having boyfriends in the past she's been shown flirting and groping various female members of the guild ''especially'' [[EvenTheGirlsWantHer Lucy]] after the two became close. [[spoiler: Hell her first reaction to seeing Lucy again after a year apart post the second TimeSkip? To [[SkinshipGrope grab her boobs and ask if they've gotten any bigger]]]].
* ''LightNovel/TheFamiliarOfZero'':
** Julio is canonically in love with Louise, but may or may not also have an interest in her boyfriend Saito as shown when he tells Saito whether jokingly or not that he loves him and wants to kiss him as well as Louise.
** Kirche is very fond of both Saito and Colbert, and she seems to like Louise and Tabitha as well.
* ''Manga/FruitsBasket'':
** Ayame is in love with Mine Kuramae but has no trouble flirting with Shigure (though for the most part it isn't serious and it's treated as an inside joke by both of them). Apparently, when he was Student Council President he claimed that if needed, he'd give himself to both men and women alike.
** Hatsuharu stated early on that Yuki was his first love. While the other characters have mixed reactions and Haru still teases Yuki a bit, he seems to take it quite seriously. However, the only other person he shows interest in for the rest of the story (and as far as we know, his entire life) is Rin. Haru's closer to {{BiTheWay}} territory, but his deadpan sense of humor when referencing his crush is enough to tip him into the ambiguous category. The other characters find it hard to tell when he's joking or not.
* ''Anime/{{Gankutsuou}}'':
** Albert has a romantic relationship with Eugenie, and it's heavily implied that they get married at the end of the series, but he also has a LOT of HoYay with the Count, to the point that the only reason he qualifies for this trope and not outright BiTheWay is because it's never confirmed that he's in love with the Count.
* ''Anime/GirlsBravo'': Miharu is clearly in love with Yukinari but also has an ambiguous LesYay filled relationship with Koyomi, including groping her while both are in the bath and calling her beautiful.
* ''LightNovel/GoshuushouSamaNinomiyaKun'':
** Hinako. On the one hand she seems to like, whether jokingly or not, to flirt with and harass Shungo but also appears to like to SkinshipGrope Mayu (whether or not its out of genuine interest or because Mayu is a succubus is never made clear).
** Ryoko. While it's not made clear if they're dating, Ryoko and Mikihiro are often seen [[BattleCouple battling together]] and often spend time together and get along quite well. What's more clear is that Ryoko has a [[LesYay crush on Reika]] what with her molesting her despite her protests and dragging her off for some "alone time".
* Ippo Makunouchi of ''Manga/HajimeNoIppo'' has got a quite sweet crush on Kumi Mashiba and she more or less reciprocates, but his attitude towards his very handsome rival Ichiro Miyata is so tinted with HoYay that his friends don't hesitate to say he's "gay for Miyata". And there's his also very good-looking Russian friend Volg.
* ''LightNovel/HaruhiSuzumiya'':
** Itsuki Koizumi seems to like [[NoSenseOfPersonalSpace invading the main male character's personal space a little too much]] in the anime, and in the novels especially he makes it quite clear that he trusts and likes Kyon. He claims to act the way he does because Haruhi expects it and would make it real if he didn't, which would be a plausible explanation if he actually did do so while Haruhi is watching. In the 4th novel [[spoiler:his alternate universe self admits to having a crush on Haruhi]], but this isn't brought up in the main storyline - although many of his actions and words towards Haruhi, especially his constant claiming of being "the expert of her heart" imply some secret affection for her. Whatever the case may be, Itsuki's bond with Kyon could be seen as a fumbled attempt at a bromance or an actual romance slowly developing.
** Haruhi Suzumiya herself. She makes it very clear right from the start that she doesn't care about the gender of the one she is with, as long as he or she is not an ordinary human being. She doesn't seem to have been dating girls though, but perhaps that was simply because only guys confessed to her. Kyon is the only person she's shown any real interest in, but also likes to SkinshipGrope Mikuru (whether its out of genuine interest or not remains to be seen).
* Zange in ''Manga/InuXBokuSS''. Zange shamelessly hits on Soushi and openly states he'd like to sleep with him... he's also peeked at Ririchiyo's panties to prove a point, and when Watanuki wound up clinging to him out of fear in one incident, Zange thought "this would be better if it were a girl".
* Zagi Fenrir of ''Manga/JyuOhSei''. His relationship with Karim is [[MasochismTango complicated]], but definitely of a romantic nature. And his attraction to [[EvenTheGuysWantHim Thor]] is so blatantly obvious that Karim gets ''jealous''.
* ''Anime/{{K}}''
** Izumo Kusanagi has a decent amount of ShipTease with Seri Awashima in the anime, but starting late in season 2 and into the post-series short stories, he's having some with Reisi Munakata as well.
** Kuroh also counts, as he ''also'' blushed upon first seeing Neko naked, but then becomes [[UndyingLoyalty extremely loyal]] to Shiro and dedicates his time to [[spoiler: finding him after the first season]]. It doesn't help that official art often depicts them in suggestive poses/positions, including one piece where Shiro is lying on top of Kuroh and ''attempting to take his shirt off''.
** Misaki Yata CannotTalkToWomen, which may or may not be based on attraction. He has an all-but-canon relationship with Saruhiko Fushimi.
** Some fans see Shiro as having some attraction to Neko (that's not purely parental), and he has tons of ShipTease with Kuroh.
* ''VisualNovel/KamigamiNoAsobi'': Loki is [[CrazyJealousGuy rather possessive of Balder]], whether its romantic or not is never made clear, and he also develops feelings for Yui.
* ''Manga/KatekyoHitmanReborn'':
** Gokudera has considerable HoYay towards Tsuna (though its not clear if its really love or just UndyingLoyalty). He also blushed and had a nosebleed upon seeing Lal Mirch (a beautiful woman) naked.
** Mukuro has subtext with Tsuna, Hibari, and Chrome.
** Doctor Shamal loves and pervs after pretty ladies, namely Bianchi, and in one of the earliest episodes, Doctor Shamal accidentally kissed Tsuna. Both of them were obviously disgusted and never mentioned it again afterwards, but still. Not only that, but it was Tsuna's FirstKiss. It's also worth noting that Tsuna's one of the few exceptions to Shamal's "I don't treat men" policy and their other cases of NoSenseOfPersonalSpace around one another.
* ''Manga/KenichiTheMightiestDisciple'': Upon meeting Tanimoto, Kenichi spends about as much time worrying that he'll steal Miu from him as he does just being utterly floored by his good looks.
--> Kenichi: Oh my god, I can see roses.
* ''LightNovel/KyoKaraMaoh'':
** Sara flirts with everyone especially with Yuuri and both the girls and the [[EvenTheGuysWantHim guys]] want him.
** Conrad is implied pretty heavily as having been in love with Julia when she was alive, but he also has a lot of [[HoYay homoerotic subtext]] with both Yuuri and Josak. [[spoiler: Doesn't help that Yuuri is Julia reincarnated]].
** Yuuri actually seems appreciative of the HoYay he receives from his male comrades (and especially gets ShipTease moments with Wolfram whom he's accidentally engaged to be married to) and even seems to reciprocate some before responding with his usual [[HaveIMentionedIAmHeterosexualToday "I'm heterosexual"]] comment.
* Ayumu from ''Manga/{{Life}}'' develops a crush on a boy but also has a very strong emotional bond with her best friend Miki. Miki herself has a [[GirlfriendInCanada lover in another town]] but is just as close to Ayumu.
* ''Manga/LoveHina'': Kaolla Su is among those attracted to Keitaro, but she also [[SacredFirstKiss stole Shinobu's first kiss]].
* Sheryl Nome of ''Anime/MacrossFrontier'', [[LoveInterest definitely into guys]], takes a seemingly random interest in Ranka when they first meet (and stares at her QUITE a bit), and makes an off-hand remark about Nanase's voluptuousness (which Nanase then calls her out to stop staring at her with those "lecherous eyes"). She also has a habit of creating multiple holographic versions of herself on stage in the movies, which she uses to french kiss ''[[ScrewYourself herself]]''; the second movie takes this one step further with the holographic Other-Sheryl [[GenderBender appearing to be a guy]]. And the one guy she has an interest in suffers from DudeLooksLikeALady.
* Fate Averruncus from ''Manga/MahouSenseiNegima'' is heavily implied to have been in love with Luna's older sister, and then later outright states that [[spoiler:that Negi Springfield is "his." What he means by that is, in keeping with the trope, ambiguous, but the girls vying for Negi's love clearly see him as a rival]]
** Either this or case of a EarlyInstallmentWeirdness, but [[DemonSlayer Setsuna Sakurazaka.]] She has a [[BodyguardCrush huge crush]] on [[WhiteMagicianGirl Konoka Konoe]], her [[{{Ojou}} mistress]], one that is reciprocated [[spoiler: and is heavily implied to end in matrimony]]. Nevertheless, early on she has some minor ShipTease with Negi.
** From the [[StealthSequel sequel series]], ''Manga/UQHolder'', [[FlyingDutchman Karin Yuuki]]. She's madly in love with [[DayWalkingVampire Yukihime]] (aka Evangeline Athanasia Katherine [=McDowell=] from ''Mahou Sensei Negima''), to the point of being [[{{Yandere}} murderously jealous]] of protagonist [[TheHero Touta Konoe]]. However, beginning Stage 108, she gets some major ShipTease with Touta, and it's implied she's fallen for ''him'' as well.
* Sachiko from ''LightNovel/MariaSamaGaMiteru'' has an [[RomanticTwoGirlFriendship extremely strong relationship]] with her friend Yumi that is [[HideYourLesbians all but confirmed]] to be romantic. Despite the fact she DoesNotLikeMen, she apparently has had feelings for her [[KissingCousins male cousin]] in the past.
* ''Manga/MobPsycho100'': Hanazawa Teruki seems to have a crush on Mob. In his introduction he's seen on a date with a girl and his fellow gang members comment that this is a frequent occurrence. Then he meets (and gets his ass kicked by) Mob, and his entire outlook changes. He jumps at the chance to help Mob rescue [[spoiler: Ritsu]], offering his help in a most flirtatious manner, even flipping his hair and then trying to get Mob's attention and sympathy by pointing out he'd also [[spoiler: nearly been burned alive]]. In the manga, he tells Mob that girls are staring because he's handsome and takes Mob clothes shopping. In the most recent manga updates, [[spoiler: his attempts to exorcise Dimple are a way of sparing Mob's feelings and says that he will tell Mob Dimple simply moved on peacefully. After Dimple manages to brainwash Teru, he uses Teru in an attempt to manipulate Mob by referring to Teru's "true feelings" for him. A brainwashed Teru says that he will end their "relationship" if Mob doesn't lay off his attacks on the Divine Tree, refers to Mob having been the most important thing to him before his brainwashing, apologizes before hitting Mob with his power, and manages to comment through his brainwashing that Mob is "so amazing" while being blasted out of the Divine Tree.]]
* ''Manga/MonthlyGirlsNozakiKun'':
** Yuu Kashima is a {{Bifauxnen}} who's very popular with girls for her handsome looks. She definitely enjoys flirting with girls, and is seen going on dates with them (although those are always ''group'' dates). At the same time she has a lot of ShipTease with her male upperclassman Hori, always trying to do things she thinks will make him happy and worrying whenever she thinks he doesn't like her. It is also stated in her character profile under [[HasAType "Type"]] that she thinks all girls are cute and her type concerning boys is "unknown", implying that while she has a strong inclination towards girls, she's definitely still open to the possibility of being attracted to guys.
** Nozaki's little sister Yumeko. She's definitely ''very'' into boys, but in one chapter, Nozaki shows her a photo of Mikoshiba (his male best friend) and the above-mentioned Kashima, and asks her which one she thinks is hotter. Yumeko picks Kashima, and when Nozaki chuckles and informs her that Kashima is a girl, she simply reiterates that Kashima is the hotter one of the two. When Nozaki is visibly surprised by this, Yumeko says that gender doesn't matter when admiring hotness.
* In ''Manga/MyMonsterSecret'', Shishido Shiho, who presents herself as a "pervert", has no problem groping girls or contemplating to do it, and even has a nosebleed [[spoiler:when fondling Nagisa's butt]] in chapter 89. However, she also regularly teases the main character Asahi (and possibly has a light crush on him) and briefly mentions having liked a boy in grade school. It doesn't help that her character remains rather impenetrable.
* Hikigaya Hachiman of ''LightNovel/MyTeenRomanticComedySNAFU'' is definitely attracted to girls (he isn't averse to enjoying the eye candy surrounding him), but he's also definitely attracted to his male classmate Totsuka Saika if the blushing and spacing out are any indication.
* ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'':
** Sai, what with his midriff bearing top, HoYay with Naruto, and (fan exaggerated) tendency towards penis jokes. He also called Ino "gorgeous" once, [[spoiler:and in the finale they are married and have a son.]]
** Orochimaru preys on both boys and girls but shows a particular interest in Sasuke.
** Naruto himself gets obvious HoYay with Sasuke (it is likened to an obsession and commented on by other characters) and other males as well as initially having a crush on Sakura and [[spoiler: marrying Hinata in the finale and having kids]].
** Some of Suigetsu's mannerisms and body language could also be interpreted this way, such as the scene where he threatens Sasuke from behind while naked, though his TeethClenchedTeamwork with Karin can be viewed as BelligerentSexualTension.
* ''Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion'':
** Shinji Ikari is shown to be attracted to both Rei and Asuka, and has UnresolvedSexualTension with his guardian Misato, but also has ''much'' HoYay with Kaworu and became closer to him than he did anyone else. His sexuality is never definitively stated, though given that this is ''Evangelion'' "screwed up" is always an option.
** Kaji flirts heavily with the ladies and is in a sexual relationship with Misato. He also appears to be hitting on Shinji in a couple scenes, though it's debated on whether this is out of genuine interest or him [[ForTheLulz just messing with people]].
* ''LightNovel/{{No 6}}'': Possibly inverted. When [[spoiler:Safu]] tells [[spoiler:Shion]] she wants to have sex with him, he is taken aback because to him they are JustFriends, but gets flustered at the idea and pledges to do it with her when she comes back from studying abroad. Of course, this gets derailed entirely when [[spoiler:Safu AscendsToAHigherPlaneOfExistence]], and [[spoiler:Shion]] appears to be much more infatuated with Nezumi anyway.
* Tomoko Kuroki, the main character of ''Manga/NoMatterHowILookAtItItsYouGuysFaultImNotPopular'', has a habit of sexually harassing her best friend Yuu, and on several occasions revealed a deep lust for her. She once peeked at a strangers panties and was later seen enjoying the memory. That said she is constantly trying to come up with schemes to get laid by men, including her own ''brother''. She also has a deep love for the BastardBoyfriend character trope. She did however entertain the idea of becoming a lesbian when she thought it might be easier to get laid with women. During that time she reflects on her relationship with Yuu as something totally normal. As the manga goes on Tomoko starts to move into AnythingThatMoves territory, probably because it's made clear that she DesperatelyCravesAffection.
* ''Manga/PandoraHearts''
** Elliot [[DidIJustSayThatOutLoud comments on liking girls with sexy underwear]] and gets a ton of HoYay with Leo, defaulting to his {{Tsundere}} personality. He also gets a fair share of more ambiguous HoYay with Oz.
** Leo states that he likes older women at one point, but his most important relationship is his incredibly close and meaningful one with Elliot, not to mention how he [[spoiler: completely loses his mind following Elliot's death]]. He also gets occasional minor HoYay with Oz and Vincent.
** Vincent eventually falls for [[spoiler:Ada,]] but he is also obsessed with his [[IncestSubtext older brother]] Gilbert. What kind of love is up for debate (although most agree it does ''not'' seem brotherly), but it's strong enough that he's willing to erase his own existence to make Gil's life better. He also flirts with Lottie, has slept with a ''lot'' of noblewomen, and does some ambiguous HoYay-inducing teasing with Leo.
** At the beginning of the series, Oz flirted with plenty of girls and seemed to have something for Sharon. However, he also generates HoYay with Leo, Elliot, and Break--not to mention his possessive streak regarding Gilbert, his AmbiguouslyGay servant who seems to be totally in love with him. In an omake, he enthusiastically entertains having lovestruck fans of both genders and states that he is slightly attracted to a cross-dressing Break.
** Break is implied to have been in love with Shelly Rainsworth and has had some questionably flirtatious encounters with Lottie rife with odd sexual tension. In spite of this, he also enjoys teasing and having NoSenseOfPersonalSpace in regards to Gilbert, Oz, and Reim.
* Yuujirou of ''Manga/PrincessPrincess'' is shown to have an interest in girls but may or may not also have feelings for Tooru, who occasionally is shown to reciprocate.
* Sayaka Miki of ''Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica'' explicitly has a crush on her [[ChildhoodFriendRomance childhood friend]] Kyosuke Kamijou. However, there is a bit of [[LesYay subtext]] pairing her with Kyoko Sakura. While in the main series proper it seems one-sided on Kyoko's part, there has been a fair amount of ShipTease in SpinOff material (including some confirmation that [[http://wiki.puella-magi.net/File:Sayaka_kyouko_spinoff.jpg the]] [[http://wiki.puella-magi.net/File:Kyoko_sayaka_more_spinoff_ova.jpg staff]] [[http://wiki.puella-magi.net/File:Sayaka_kyouko_pocky_game_Nitroplus.jpg ships it]]) that suggests at least a possibility of reciprocation. And with the release of ''[[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagicaTheMovieRebellion Rebellion]]'', the two are living in the same house, hold hands, [[BashBrothers fight together]], and enjoy teasing each other.
* Almost anyone in ''Anime/RevolutionaryGirlUtena'', like Utena herself, Anthy, Wakaba, Saionji, Touga, Miki, Juri and Shiori, depending on your interpretations.
* In ''Manga/RosarioToVampire'', young Yukari announces to her classmates that she's fallen in love with both Moka and Tsukune, but it's not clear if she herself fully understands the implications of that statement.
* ''Manga/SailorMoon'':
** Michiru Kaioh from the manga version is in a clear relationship with Haruka, but she's also seen flirting with Mamoru and providing some ShipTease.
** Usagi Tsukino has the whole "destined lovers" thing with Mamoru, but is also clearly attracted to other women. She followed Rei home the first time she saw her because she was entranced with her beauty, [[WingdingEyes hearts in her eyes]] the entire time, and goes along with Haruka's flirting even after learning she's a woman.
* ''Manga/SeraphOfTheEnd'':
** Yoichi acts interested in the Serapuchi comics when he sees the girls skirts get flipped up by the wind and in the fanbook asks Yuu if he thinks Mitsuba looks cute in civilian clothes. He also has HoYay with Yuu and Kimizuki.
** Ferid claims to feel love for a female vampire but she thinks he only loves her for her power. For that matter, Ferid seems to have distinctly rapey overtones whenever he is talking to/about Mika or when he is near Yuu.
** Yuu has ShipTease with Shinoa but also has an obsession with protecting Mika and being close to him. He also comments that Yoichi looks 'seriously good' in casual attire. It's also not made clear if his response of "Shut up" when asked which type of girl he likes is him acting in a {{Tsundere}} way or if he just simply doesn't like women that way.
** Shinoa is implied to have a crush on Yuu and also teases Mitsuba and gets close to her in the shower. In a scene from the video game she tells Mitsuba that she'd like to see her body once more in detail after telling her she has a nice body.
** Crowley acts flirtatious toward Yuu calling him "my cute little livestock", notices the attractiveness of women and men in the novels, kisses Ferid in one fanbook along with other HoYay with him, once manhandles Shinoa to the ground to drink her blood in a scene resembling AttemptedRape, and has occasionally been depicted with Cress and Horn in ShipTease art in the manga.
* ''Manga/SkipBeat'': Kyoko has shown attraction towards men and may or may not like her friend Moko in [[LesYay that]] way.
* Reina from ''Literature/SoundEuphonium'' explicitly states she has a [[TeacherStudentRomance crush on her male teacher]] but that does nothing for the large amount of HomoeroticSubtext between her and Kumiko. Episode 11 has a scene that [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything reeks]] of a silly high school love confession where [[spoiler:Reina asks if Kumiko will ever leave her. Kumiko states that she won't and that Reina can kill her if she does. Reina agrees and then Kumiko puts her hand on Reina's hand that was on her cheek, and repeats a line Reina told her several episodes earlier--"it's a confession of love, after all." This makes Reina ''very'' happy]]. All throughout the scene their faces were literally centimeters apart.
* ''Manga/TokyoGhoul''
** Eto claims to love Kaneki to a {{Yandere}} degree but given her [[ManipulativeBastard reputation]] it's difficult to tell if it's genuine. She also acts ominously seductive around Kanae [[spoiler: who is revealed to be a girl and she strips her when torturing her, including putting her hands on her body]].
** Kaneki/Sasaki has ship tease with numerous ladies (including having a crush on Rize initially before he found out she was a ghoul and thinking that Touka is cute too as carrying her in a BridalCarry). He has also blushed around men and commented on the attractive qualities of them, in addition to other HoYay which includes carrying Hide in a BridalCarry in the anime and [[{{Transgender}} Mutsuki]] in one in the manga and calling him "cute".
** Hide shows interest in the ladies, like Touka and Rize, but also has a relationship with Kaneki that borders on HoYay at times. He happily accepted Kaneki despite knowing that he's a ghoul. The anime depicts him choosing to save Kaneki and spend his final moments with him rather than seek medical attention for his injuries.
** Tsukiyama blurs the line between murderous and amorous intentions towards Kaneki and was also mentioned to have a thing for Touka.
** Touka gets plenty of ShipTease with Kaneki and both are implied to be attracted to one another. Also, Touka gets very blushy around her female human friend Yoriko. As a bonus, she forces herself to eat her cooking even though it's vile to her, just to spare Yoriko's feelings.
** Uta comments that Urie's moles are "sexy", gets rather close to Kaneki/Sasaki, comments on [[UsefulNotes/{{Transgender}} Mutsuki's]] good looks and also discusses girls with Shirazu. Also, Yomo and Uta started out as rivals, with the later becoming fascinated with the former. Itori likes to tease them about their past and in one of the Seiyuu events, the Live Drama involved Uta flirting with Yomo while touching his kagune.
** Mutsuki was [[UsefulNotes/{{Transgender}} born female and identifies as a male]]. He seems to find MaleGaze disturbing but is rather close with Sasaki and the other members of his team, one of whom is a girl. He also seems to either express interest/curiousity towards Touka (he calls her "super cute") or is jealous of her relationship with Sasaki.
** Naki is either this or AmbiguouslyGay in that he is a masochist when it comes to his big brother Yamori who he fawns over but also gets ShipTease moments with Miza one of which includes them doing SweetheartSipping in the 2016 calendar.
** Seidouís strong admiration towards Amon and Akira. Itís also implied that Seidouís one-sided rivalry with Akira (who is Amonís partner) might be jealousy. There's also the omake where Seidou gets jealous of Suzuya when he sees him giving Amon some sweets thinking he's trying to get on Amon's good side and despairs over how he's been unable to grow closer to Amon thus far.
** Banjou has an established crush on Rize but also has his share of HoYay and protectiveness towards Kaneki.
* Minto from ''Manga/TokyoMewMew'' has a hero-worship for Zakuro that definitely verges into LesYay at times (she confesses her love at one point, though in context it's ambiguous what kind of love she was talking about), but also shows interest in guys and when Ichigo asked the other Mews what they considered attractive, she pictured a male dancer. 4Kids actually ''played this up'' in their dub by swapping that male dancer to Zakuro herself (Renee in the dub). They also changed almost none of the dialogue with her confessing her love and adoration to Zakuro/Renee.
* Sumire from ''Manga/VenusVersusVirus'' has a very intense bond with her friend Lucia, who is later confirmed in the manga to be in love with her, but also has a very important male love interest. The manga's end is rather ambiguous whether Sumire likes Lucia back or whether it's a one-sided love affair.
* ''Manga/WanderingSon'':
** Mako seems predominantly attracted to guys but has a crush on her transgender female friend Nitori at one point, though due to the latter still being living as male she sees her as a boy.
** Momoko has a RomanticTwoGirlFriendship with her best friend but has been teased for liking a former male classmate.
* ''Anime/YourName'': The RedStringOfFate means Mitsuha is most likely meant to get together with Taki, but her comment about wanting to use Taki's body to go on a date with Miki certainly leaves one wondering.
* Marnie from ''Anime/WhenMarnieWasThere'' has a RomanticTwoGirlFriendship with Anna that consists of romantic seeming things such as love confessions, rowboating together, and IntimateHealing. She also has feelings for a boy named Kazuhiko. It's later revealed that [[spoiler:Marnie is DeadAllAlong and Kazuhiko was her eventual husband.]] Anna ends up [[spoiler:self-inserting as Kazuhiko in flashbacks]] which makes her relationship with Marnie even more romantic looking. The reveal that [[spoiler:Marnie is a LongLostRelative of Anna's (namely her ''grandmother'' as a child)]] makes it hard to understand if Marnie sees Anna [[spoiler:as family or [[IncestSubtext as a love interest]]]], especially since it's left vague if Marnie [[spoiler:[[GhostAmnesia realizes]] their relationship.]]

[[folder:Comic Books]]
* Nancy from ''ComicBook/AfterlifeWithArchie'' canonically has a boyfriend, Chuck, like in the [[ComicBook/ArchieComics main comics]]... She also has a girlfriend, Ginger. The vague part is if Chuck is a [[TheBeard beard]] or if they were a legitimate couple [[YourCheatingHeart before she fell for]] Ginger.
* ComicBook/BlackCanary, especially under Creator/GailSimone's pen. At one point she was going to quip that she was "75% heterosexual" thus making her BiTheWay, but placeholder dialog confusion turned it into "heterosexual to the bone". And when she believes she's going to have to fight a DuelToTheDeath she tells ComicBook/{{Huntress}} to tell both [[ComicBook/BirdsOfPrey Barbara]] and [[ComicBook/GreenArrow Oliver Queen]], her ex-husband, that she loves them. In that order. To say nothing of [[http://i573.photobucket.com/albums/ss175/galateus/comics/babsdinah-25uo2a0.jpg this]].
* Comicbook/{{Deadpool}}. Plenty of attraction to girls, but also flirts with guys constantly, and his canon attraction with Comicbook/{{Cable}}. He has the "faintly hysterical overreaction to being called gay" thing down pretty well, too, and the less said about the crossdressing the better. Cable himself comes from a gender-ambiguous future and so may not recognize present-day sexual norms anyway, and people frequently comment on his [[OddCouple unlikely]] affection for Deadpool. WordOfGod described Deadpool as 'omnisexual', making the 'ambiguously' part somewhat less ambiguous.
* ''ComicBook/FantasticFour'': Johnny Storm, according to some [[http://titanstogetherr.tumblr.com/post/152136986151/johnny-storm-is-officially-bipan fan theories]]. In addition to doing things like dating non-binary aliens, it was strongly hinted that he and Daken had a fling in ''Dark Wolverine''. While the comic never confirmed the exact nature of their relationship, when a fan asked Marjorie Lu if Johnny and Daken were sleeping together, she replied with: "They better have been, given all the hard work we put into creating sexual tension between their characters."
* [[ComicBook/TheIncredibleHercules Hercules]] was implied to have had relations with a large number of women and Northstar. A RunningGag is Amadeus Cho repeatedly denying that he has the same relationship with Herc as Iolaus did. In the ''X-Treme X-Men'' alternate universe, he's explicitly shown to be in a relationship with Wolverine, making both characters a little less ambiguous.
* Tony Stark aka Comicbook/IronMan. (It also shows up in the movies he appears in). He's TheCasanova and all of his canonical love interests have been women, but he also seems to have a thing for teasing/making DoubleEntendre remarks towards male characters.
* Kimber from ''ComicBook/JemAndTheHolograms'' obviously had a case of AdaptationalSexuality, but it's hard to tell if she's lesbian or bisexual. In the ''WesternAnimation/{{Jem}}'' cartoon she's exclusively into boys (though her RomanticTwoGirlFriendship with Stormer in "The Bands Break Up" makes her Ambiguously Bi in her own right). In the comic though, she leans towards girls. Her [[SmittenTeenageGirl interests outright includes "Girls"]], her sisters mention her frequently crushing on girls, and she falls InLoveAtFirstSight with Stormer. Some dialogue in early issues imply she could be bi, and considering her cartoon version that wouldn't be unusual. Though in the Valentine's Day issue she gets disgusted when she learned she kissed a man while under a spell, suggesting that she's gay.
* ComicBook/LadyDeath was originally as Evil Ernie's love interest and even then that didn't stop [[EvenTheGirlsWantHer women being all over her]], despite saying she is not into them. However in the Avatar publications, while she prefers men, its implied she swings both ways when she casually kisses a barmaid in the lips in one scene, though she treats it as nothing.
* Violet Paige, AKA ComicBook/MotherPanic, is seen this way in-universe, with tabloids abounding with rumors that she's had relationships with both men and women.
* ''ComicBook/{{Runaways}}'': Nico Minoru has been on-panel only seen attracted to guys, but has a lot of ShipTease with her LipstickLesbian friend, Karolina (especially under later writers). It's also implied she was initially jealous of Xavin, Karolina's girlfriend.
* In ''ComicBook/{{Seconds}}'', when Kate speaks to Max after the first revision, the man he is having dinner with is crying, implying that they just broke up. Later, when Kate is talking to Hazel, the conversation leads to Kate asking her if she likes girl or boys. Hazel replies that she hasn't decided yet.
* Amy from ''ComicBook/SonicTheComic'' apparently has a crush on Sonic, at least in early chapters, but her friendship with Tekno is the butt of fan jokes. They're quite close. In turn Tekno is [[ShipTease teased]] with Shortfuse however fans utterly ignore him and, as said, her and Amy are close buddies who travel around a lot.
* Jessica Drew a.k.a. ComicBook/SpiderWoman. All of her love interests in the mainstream continuity have been men like Comicbook/{{Hawkeye}}, but she's also had ''a lot'' of LesYay with some female characters, especially her "best friend" [[ComicBook/MsMarvel Carol Danvers]]. Additionally, when asked her opinion on the female Comicbook/{{Thor|2014}}, her response was "One word, Carol: hawt." Blurring this further is that her [[ComicBook/UltimateSpiderMan Ultimate Marvel]] self is openly lesbian and has a crush on Comicbook/KittyPryde.
* In ''ComicBook/StarbrandAndNightmask'', Nightmask, in his civilian identity as college student Adam Blackveil, is flirted on by both a female and a male student while working out at the gym. While he recognizes that they are flirting with him as it goes due to his little familiarity to human interaction, he looks very pleased about it and declares that he enjoys it.
* Franchise/WonderWoman, with more or less subtlety DependingOnTheWriter. After all, she grew up in a LadyLand called Paradise Island. The New 52 removes the ambiguity entirely when [[http://www.eonline.com/news/688220/wonder-woman-officiates-gay-wedding-of-2-brides-talks-marriage-equality-with-superman-look Diana officiates a gay marriage]], telling Clark that she sees no difference between it and heterosexual marriage. Creator/GregRucka has given a WordOfGay that she's bisexual, but this has yet to be stated in-universe.
* Selene from ''ComicBook/XMen'' isn't openly bisexual and is in fact a widow of a man named Marcus Gallio. But she also possesses some amount of LesbianVampire traits.
** The relationship between Charles Xavier and [[ComicBook/{{Magneto}} Erik Lehnsherr]] is at least as strong and complicated as those they have with romantic female partners. Its very easy to interpret them as being in love with each other, which would make them sort of bi.
** Comicbook/{{Storm}} is probably one of the most famous examples of this trope. She's had strong romantic relationships with a lot of men, including Comicbook/BlackPanther, Comicbook/{{Wolverine}} and Forge, but she's also had extremely close {{Romantic Two Girl Friendship}}s with Yukio and Comicbook/JeanGrey since the '80s. Yukio has even flat out admitted that Storm is one of the most important people in her life.

* The ''Franchise/{{Naruto}}'' fanfic ''FanFic/ChasingTheShadow'' explores this, both Haku and Naruto having somewhat questionable sexual orientations. The author discusses it at times.
* Kaworu in ''Fanfic/AdviceAndTrust''. He only ever shows romantic interest in Rei during the story proper, but [[spoiler:he mentioned that he loved Shinji in at least one alternate timeline. The ambiguity comes down to how much those alternate Kaworu's can be considered to be him.]]
* {{Creator/Madsthenerdygirl}}'s ''Fanfic/MCURewrites'' portray Steve Rogers/Captain America as this: in ''[[http://archiveofourown.org/works/6461902 Age of Ultron: Redux]]'', he acknowledges what he could have had with Peggy Carter and a number of characters in-story wonder if his relationship with James "Bucky" Barnes/The Winter Soldier has the potential to be more than platonic. In ''[[http://archiveofourown.org/works/11652534 Captain America: Ghosts of HYDRA]]'', while being interviewed about Bucky Barnes, Steve states that being asked about his friend would be like asking a wife to testify against her husband. WordOfGod states she intentionally wrote the story this way so that the reader could interpret their relationship as platonic or romantic.

[[folder:Films - Animation]]
* The Goth Kid from ''WesternAnimation/TheBookOfLife''. When introduced to the pictures of La Muerte and Xibalba he called them both "so pretty" in the same dreamy-like fashion.
* ''Disney/TheLionKing'': Timon and Pumbaa. While they are HeterosexualLifePartners, there is so much blatant HoYay that went on between them. However, they do have crushes on several girls throughout the series. Pumbaa fits this trope more as he tried to kiss Timon in ''House of Mouse'' in the Valentines day special.
* Pitch Black in ''WesternAnimation/RiseOfTheGuardians''. If his backstory where when he was human, he had a wife and a daughter is in the movie-verse. He also flirts a bit in the official prequel comic with Tooth during his introduction. However, he also seems to be very touchy-feely with Jack. In the Antarctica scene, he always claimed that he and Jack were the same, touching him when he proposed him to join his side (and in one of early artworks, he even strokes his jaw with a smug smile) and is hurt by his rejection. Furthermore, he even called Bunnymund "cute" for mocking him, making Bunnymund slightly scared (though Bunny was probably just worried Pitch might try to harm him).

[[folder:Films - Live-Action]]
* ''Film/FortyEightHours'': Lisa and Casey sleep with Billy and Ganz, and are implied to be sleeping with each other.
* Morse in ''Film/Alien3''. When the prisoners all find out that Ripley has crashed on their prison planet, Morse declares that he has taken a vow of celibacy "...and that includes women." Later in the Assembly Cut of the film, Morse is [[spoiler:finally persuaded to let Golic out of his restraints]] when Golic says to him "I love you, Morse."
* ''Film/AllTheBoysLoveMandyLane'': Chloe is into Garth, and heavily implied to be into Mandy.
* ''Film/ButImACheerleader'': Joel is sent to [[CureYourGays a comversion therapy camp]] due to liking boys, and is implied to reciprocate fellow camper Graham's faked affection for him. However, it's unclear if the brainwashing got to him, he's lyimg to get through the program like Graham is, or if he's genuinely into her.
* Karen from ''Theatre/TheChildrensHour''. The movie centers around her and her best friend Martha, [[spoiler:who is later revealed to be gay and in love with her]], being MistakenForGay. Karen is engaged to a man, though her relationship with Martha is full of subtext. Even people in-story think they're too close, no thanks to a child's MaliciousSlander. At the end she wants to run away with Martha [[spoiler:even after Martha's AnguishedDeclarationOfLove]], though it doesn't work out [[spoiler:because Martha is DrivenToSuicide]].
* ''Film/DarkHarvest'': Alex is dating Darcy, who thinks she has BelligerentSexualTension with Sean.
* ''Film/{{Deathgasm}}'': Medina is Brodie's LoveInterest, and her metal fantasy has heavy lesbian imagery.
* ''Film/TheFinalGirls'': Kurt hits on literally every woman he sees, but briefly mentions that he thinks gay men have a cool lifestyle.
* James (Will Ferrell) in ''Film/GetHard'' was disgusted over having to give oral sex to a man and is married to a woman, but also didn't mind getting close to Darnell (Kevin Hart) and using suggestive double entendres in regards to him.
* ''Film/{{Gutterballs}}'': Hannah has threesomes with Steve and the canonically bi Julia, but it's not clear what these threesomes entail.
* David Skylark of ''Film/TheInterview''. Dave seems omni-sexual, judging from his obvious attraction to women like the CIA agent, as well as some weird things he says (apparently he watches gay porn). He also didn't mind kissing Kim, the male leader of North Korea, when playing spin the bottle with him or his best male friend Aaron.
* ''Film/JennifersBody'': Anita "Needy" Lesnicki has a boyfriend, whom she cares about very deeply. She also makes out with [[DepravedBisexual Jennifer]], and seems to be really into it before she breaks it off.
* ''Film/JupiterAscending'':
** The driving force of the film is the conflict between the Abrasax siblings and Jupiter, the genetic recurrence of their mother. While the Abrasax patriarch is never mentioned or seen, the two Abrasax brothers definitely have an unhealthy interest in their mother. Titus is TheCasanova whose defining scene is a ZeroGSpot pseudo-orgy of heavy petting with women. He plans to secure his claim to Earth by marrying Jupiter, and all that implies. There's also the scene where Titus tries to kill Caine which reeks of HoYay, complete with whispering his evil plan in Caine's ear while circling around him.
** Kalique has two suggestive scenes with both genders. In one scene she strips naked in front of Jupiter, looks at her seductively, and then rises from her bath with a glamorous young body (in one of the only nude scenes in the movie. There's also her compliments on Caine's physique when he barges into her palace with no shirt on.
* Jack Sparrow of ''Franchise/PiratesOfTheCaribbean''. He's shown on screen to be interested in woman and has considerable HoYay with other male characters, and Creator/JohnnyDepp (the actor who plays him) [[WordOfGay has said that he's bisexual]].
* ''Film/RepoTheGeneticOpera'': Amber Sweet sleeps with the Graverobber and is implied to tap the Genterns.
* ''Film/ScaryMovie'': Buffy and Cindy have boyfriends, but mention going down on each other one time. However, given that they swore to never speak of it again, it could have just as easily been bicurious experimentation.
* Franchise/JamesBond villain Silva in ''Film/{{Skyfall}}'' aggressively flirted with both Severine and Bond. While Bond's tied to a chair and Silva is suggestively touching him, the following exchange happens.
-->'''Silva:''' Well...first time for everything, yes?\\
'''Bond:''' What makes you think this is my first time?
* ''Film/StealingHarvard'': Honorable Judge Emmett Cook was married and denies being homosexual. However, he has Duff, John Plummer and later, Mr. Warner and many other males (as evidenced by photos he takes of them all) dress up and role-play as his diseased wife because he misses her too much. He also lays in bed with the men and spoons with them.
* ''Film/Stitches2001'': [[BigBad Mrs. Albright]] is perfectly willing to act seductive towards men and women, and has sex with Ms. Lester to get what she wants. It's unclear if she'll have sex with men too.
* Jay of ''Film/TheViewAskewniverse'' enthusiastically hits on women, but when accused in ''Film/{{Dogma}}'' by Rufus of fantasizing about other men while masturbating, his response is "Dude, not all the time!" Later, when waking up suddenly, he babbles "I didn't come in you, Pete, I swear!" Wikipedia [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jay_and_Silent_Bob lists most of the many times he and Bob do something ambiguous]]. WordOfGod is that Jay ''is'' most likely bi, though onscreen evidence suggests that he's severely closeted.
* ''Film/{{Wrestlemaniac}}'': Dallas, Debbie and Daisy are willing to be sexual with each other and Alphonse on camera, but it's unclear how much (if any) of their activity is based on actual sexual interest and how much is [[SituationalSexuality the pay]].
* ''Film/{{Hatchet}}'': Jenna is introduced making out with Misty [[GirlOnGirlIsHot for a porno film]], and later flirts with Marcus. However, she and Misty hate each other and are only doing it for the cash, so it's not clear if she's willing to sleep with women in her free time or [[SituationalSexuality just wanted the money]].
* ''Film/TragedyGirls'': [=McKayla=] and Sadie both express interest in men, but it's clear that their only true emotional connection is with one another. They're extremely affectionate towards each other, do everything together, and would do anything for their friendship. [[spoiler:In fact, both kill the guys they were interested in at the other's behest.]]

* Many women in ''Literature/ABrothersPrice'' are well able to appreciate beauty in their own sex. Cira is the only one who is explicitly bi, but as her homosexual relationship is treated as nothing unusual, it can be assumed that bisexual women wouldn't exactly feel the need to "out" themselves.
* ''Literature/TheCatcherInTheRye'':
** Holden describes Luce as a "flitty" seeming guy who has a strong {{Gaydar}}. He also notes that Luce seems to talk about sex with, presumably, women a lot. Luce himself mentions that he likes "a mature ''person''", not "a [[LikesOlderWomen mature woman]]", though he could have been referring to in general.
** Holden's former Mr. Antolini teacher is either this or AmbiguouslyGay. He married a much older woman, which might make her a [[TheBeard Beard]]. Later Holden wakes up in an AmbiguousSituation where Mr. Antolini is petting his head in his sleep. It's vague whether it's paternal like Mr. Antolini implies or sexual like Holden thinks.
* Rinaldi of ''Literature/AFarewellToArms'' [[LatinLover talks about sleeping with women constantly]], but he is also very affectionate towards Frederic, trying to kiss him on several occasions. He calls Frederic "baby" and appears slightly flamboyant, though this may be DeliberateValuesDissonance being used to contrast him against his American friend.
* In Erica Jong's ''Literature/FearOfFlying'', it's easy to make a case for Adrian's bisexuality. While he's deeply enamoured with Isadora's body and mind, he also hints at an attraction to her husband Bennett at times, up to [[spoiler:stroking Bennett's back after Bennett and Isadora have sex in front of him]].
* The protagonist of ''Literature/TheGallagherGirls'' has several relationships with men of varying importance, but she also has a tendency to describe the beauty of her female TrueCompanions, ''[[spoiler:even while bleeding out from a gunshot]]''.
* The ''Literature/{{Hurog}}'' duology has Ward, who is attracted to women, according to himself, but does notice that his [[OurGhostsAreDifferent newly inherited, immortal slave]] Oreg is a pretty boy. It causes him to pity Oreg, as he suspects some of his ancestors to have been rapists. ''However'', later on they become quite close friends, and Ward notices that Oreg working magic is a beautiful sight, and he can also feel the magic, and is a bit embarassed because it feels like "a hand touching [him] intimately". Ward is also well able to understand why the king's "favourite" has this position - Garranon is an exceptionally beautiful and elegant man, and Ward mentions that he likes Garranon better than most of the other courtiers.
* Eragon from ''Literature/InheritanceCycle'' comes off as this. Despite his obsession with an unattainable elf girl, he travels and becomes EXTREMELY close to his half-brother Murtagh, and starts getting vengeful and sulky when Murtagh turns out to think he's an annoying little twerp. Additionally he never notices Arya's characteristics (read: breasts), but he spends a lot of time ogling his master's muscles, "port-red lips" and long, flowing hair, and starts staring intently at the guy's "hairless groin" during a naked bath scene. [[FoeRomanceSubtext He also ogles the "hard and lean" muscles of his crippled ex-nemesis]].
* ''Literature/JaneEyre'' gets together [[spoiler: with Rochester]] by the book's end but there's also the ambiguous LesYay she gets with Diana, Mary, and, particularly Helen.
* In ''Literature/TheLongWalk'', [=McVries=] seems to care about Garraty in a way that extends beyond friendship. He's also mentioned to have had a girlfriend.
* ''Literature/LesMiserables'': Victor Hugo never explicitly states the nature of Grantaire's love towards Enjolras, but he ''does'' compare them to several pairs of mythological/historical male lovers and that was probably as close as you could get to WordOfGay in the 19th century. At least, without being thrown in jail like Creator/OscarWilde. Unlike Enjolras, however, Grantaire is also said to show interest in women.
* Aiden from ''Literature/OfFearAndFaith'', who flirts with literally every woman he meets but also admits to using his [[TheCasanova considerable charms]] on men to get what he wants and he seems to flirt with his male friend Tel on occasion.
* Ilke from ''Literature/{{Phenomena}}'' is either this or AmbiguouslyGay, her ShipTease with Jolsah is mostly from his side. Yet does it seem that she LikesOlderWomen by her [[NarmCharm weird]] over-attraction to mothers, and a slightly RomanticTwoGirlFriendship with Millian that sorta resembles [[WesternAnimation/TheLegendOfKorra Korra and Asami's]] the way it was in the beginning, expect in that Millian is in love with [[FishPeople Azur]], [[spoiler:and they (Millian and Azur) become a couple, if it'll last is yet to be seen]]. [[NatureSpirit Hisj]] has shown some interest in a WifeHusbandry way only to be told by her that she doesn't belong to anyone. According to WordOfGod is she not {{asexual}} either, but her type is someone as powerful as herself, and her being one of the most powerful characters in the series will it not be an easy task. And with Norwegian sharing words for both girlfriend and boyfriend, kjæreste (word he used for partner), meaning 'dearest', does it stand as ambiguous.
* Amaliya of ''Literature/PrettyWhenSheDies'' has a lot of hints dropped that she's attracted to women as well as men. It's practically text at some points she's had lesbian relationships in the past.
* Kavinsky of ''Literature/TheRavenCycle'' is hinted to be a DepravedBisexual and in ''Blue Lily, Lily Blue'', [[spoiler:Adam Parrish, who previously sort-of-dated Blue]], notices [[spoiler:Ronan]]'s crush on him and is flattered by it. He has also made a few comments that indicate he finds him good looking, including staring at him from time to time. It has yet to be seen whether he reciprocates [[spoiler:Ronan's feelings]] or if he just likes being wanted. At this point, [[spoiler:Adam himself might not even be aware that he likes Ronan in that way]].
* In ''Literature/TheSorcererOfTheWildeeps'', two of the relationships Demane has been involved in so far have been with men, including his first love, but he also mentions almost marrying a woman at some point, and expresses some regret about not having done so. Though it's not entirely clear whether he loved her or it was just a 'she's been courting me for a year, that's got to mean something'-thing.
* Shreve from ''Literature/TheTwelveFingeredBoy'' has some rather suspect moments (to the point where he himself wonders. [[spoiler:Complicated by him being an EmotionEater with a taste for love and happy memories, regardless of the gender of the people involved.]]
* ''Literature/{{Twilight}}'':
** Bella is in a steady relationship with Edward. His adopted sister, Alice, is her best friend. Many of Bella and Alice's interactions mirror her interactions with Edward, particularly when Bella gets very huggy and clingy towards Alice. This includes a scene in ''New Moon'' where the two basically snuggle on the sofa. Bella also repeatedly talks about how "breathtaking" and beautiful Rosalie is.
** Despite being HappilyMarried to Esme, Carlisle seems a lot more passionate about his adopted son, Edward. More than a few people have noted that when Carlisle had to choose a traveling companion, he instantly went for the pretty young boy and went for a wife second.
* Colonel Mary Malone in ''Literature/{{Victoria}}'' eagerly joins the LadyLand Azania's overtly lesbian AmazonBrigade, and rises to a position of senior authority in a culture where all such are normally reserved to [[UnusualEuphemism "women of full consciousness"]]. On the other hand, nothing is openly stated about her relationships beyond a heterosexual love affair with a male police captain.
* Patches of ''When A Man's A Man'' (by Harold Wright) unsuccessfully proposes to two women over the course of the story and has no problem understanding the other cowboys' attraction to Kitty. However, his happy ending is riding off into the sunset with Yavapai Joe, saying he's going to teach him "how to be a man". This is meant to be interpreted philosophically rather than sexually, but you have to wonder.
* ''Literature/{{Wicked}}'':
** Whether Elphaba is in love with Glinda is left vague, but they share a lot of LesYay. Elphaba does have an affair with Fiyero and [[spoiler:ends up pregnant by him]].
** Glinda is canonically in love with Elphaba, even decades after her death--however, she is married to a man. She uses him for money and it's unknown if she's attracted to any men or if he is [[TheBeard a beard]].
* ''Literature/TheHeartsWeSold'': Dee is very much in love with James, but is flustered by a pretty girl she meets at a party, and deeply admires her roommate and best friend, Gremma. Gremma actually ''is'' an out-and-proud lesbian, which doesn't help.

[[folder:Live-Action TV]]
* ''Series/AgentCarter'':
** Howard Stark, notorious playboy and womanizer, has his feelings for Steve paralleled with Peggy's twice, easily interpreted that Howard loved Steve romantically, just as Peggy did.
--->'''Howard:''' I know how much he meant to you, because I know how much he means to me.\\
'''Peggy:''' ''[as Howard is risking his life in an attempt to save Steve]'' I know you loved him. I loved him too. But this wonít bring him back. Steve is gone. We have to move on, all of us. As impossible as that may sound, we have to let him go.
** Peggy's doomed love for Steve forms an important part of her character, and she also spends a lot of time developing a close, possibly romantic relationship with her neighbor Angie. For bonus points, they fall into the romance cliche of the action hero with the secret identity and the supportive GirlNextDoor.
* On ''Series/AgentsOfSHIELD'', Leo Fitz acknowledges out loud that he subconsciously finds another male character ([[spoiler:Alphonso "Mack" Mackenzie]]) attractive, and he says this to [[spoiler: hallucination]] Jemma Simmons, who he has {{ust}} for.
* Penelope Taynt of ''Series/TheAmandaShow'' is utterly obsessed with Amanda and once had a thing with a guy who was just as obsessed with Amanda as she was.
* Gob on ''Series/ArrestedDevelopment'' has a few moments in the first 3 seasons - including hitting on Gary the intern (and getting Gary to sit on his lap) and mistaking a middle-aged married couple for escorts but being prepared to have sex with both of them anyway. In season 4 [[spoiler:he has sex with Tony Wonder, and Michael's reaction implies he was aware Gob wasn't completely straight ("I knew it! I ''always'' knew it!")]]
* ''Series/{{Arrow}}'': Sin, who rocks boyish short hair and androgynous clothes, is this in-universe, as when Thea is helping her get ready for a fake date, Thea says she'll help Sin get her man--or woman. Sin herself has never said much on the subject one way or another.
* Amy Farrah Fowler from ''Series/TheBigBangTheory'' makes constant remarks about how sexy her (female) bestie Penny is, but still vies for the affections of men [[MyFriendsAndZoidberg and Sheldon]].
** Raj has shown to be attracted to women, yet has strong HoYay tendencies with Howard.
* ''Series/BrooklynNineNine'':
** Jake has had a number of female love interests, and is still bitter years later about his childhood crush dumping him at his own bar mitzvah. Despite this, he has a habit of commenting on the handsomeness of other men, and asks out Holt's art teach in one episode (though it's unclear if this was a joke or not). [[spoiler: He also has no problem with kissing Holt on the mouth to break out of jail, and later comments that he had really soft lips.]]
** Charles clearly loves women, probably a little [[DoggedNiceGuy too]] [[CreepyGood much]]. Despite this, he's ''very'' InTouchWithHisFeminineSide, and has such a strong friendship with Jake that it calls the "heterosexual" part of HeterosexualLifePartners into question. He even says at one point that his ideal marriage would be a [[{{Polyamory}} polyamorous]] relationship consisting of himself, a wife and Jake. That's not even getting into his habit of making homoerotic {{Accidental Innuendo}}s.
** Gina constantly thirsts after hot guys and makes it clear that she has a thing for Terry. She also ''very'' eagerly offers to teach Amy how to kiss at one point, and implies in another episode that she has an attraction to Creator/TeaLeoni from ''Film/BadBoys''.
* ''Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer'':
** Faith routinely has sex with guys--though, if her treatment of Xander is any indication, she never has any emotional or romantic feelings for them--but also has [[HoYay/BuffyTheVampireSlayer huge Les yay/Foe yay with Buffy]], and occasionally Willow. She also has some innuendo with Lilah in her first ''Series/{{Angel}}'' arc (it's been said in interviews that this was so strong in early takes that the actresses were ordered to tone it down). Her having a crush on Buffy is seemingly confirmed by [[ItMakesSenseInContext the First as the Mayor]] in season 7, and her actress, Eliza Dushku, said that she always thought that Faith definitely had something for Buffy. In season 8 Faith herself denies this, but it isn't like this would be the first time Faith has lied about something personal, and the very same arc included some heavy-handed lesbian innuendo between Faith and Gigi.
** Buffy was definitely in love with Angel and Riley (and [[DestructiveRomance whatever she had]] with Spike), but her legendary LesYay with Faith was hardly one-sided, her and Willow have all the signs of a RomanticTwoGirlFriendship, and season 5 kept drawing parallels between her and Dawn and Willow and Tara. In season 9, she thinks she slept with Willow after a night of partying, but didn't. This ambiguity is likely due to the Buffyverse having NoBisexuals.
** In the first three seasons this was the case for both Willow and Xander, having explicit crushes and relationships with men and women respectively, but also creating lots of subtext and various (intentional and unintentional) homoerotic comments. Then Willow came out [[NoBisexuals as a supposed lesbian]] and they both...became even ''more'' ambiguous (especially when Spike was involved, in Xander's case.
** The group of Darla, Angelus, Drusilla, and Spike were implied to be in a sort-of poly relationship on top of the usual Darla/Angelus and Drusilla/Spike couples, and are shown to be very affectionate (in their [[InterplayOfSexAndViolence own way]]) with each other and plenty of others regardless of gender. Vampires in general are implied to be bisexual by nature, but these four were the only ones that got more than a comment or two towards it.
* ''Series/{{Daredevil 2015}}'' has Russian crime boss Anatoly Ranskahov. When Wesley [[spoiler:pretends not to know about Anatoly's death]] while talking to his brother Vladimir, he asks whether Anatoly has "a girl - or a boy - he might be celebrating with". Since Wesley is unfailingly polite and would probably not risk insulting a Russian man's beloved brother by insinuating him to be bisexual without cause and Vladimir lets it slide without comment, there may be some truth to it.
* ''Series/DoctorWho'':
** Ace. Although she sometimes has romantic subtext with a male guest character, especially Mike in "Remembrance of the Daleks" and Sorin in "The Curse of Fenric", she also forms some '''very''' intense relationships with other young women. Especially in "Ghost Light" (in which she dresses up in male Victorian evening dress in a way that in a classic Hollywood movie would scream [[GettingCrapPastTheRadar "lesbian"]] and then runs around holding hands with a girl, with whom she has two separate {{Cat Fight}}s, one on a bed) and "Survival" (in which the scriptwriter explicitly [[WordOfGay declared]] that the very "Women Who Run With The Wolves" relationship between her and werecheetah Karra was deliberately homoerotic). However, her appearances in adult-aimed ExpandedUniverse material with more overt sexual content depict her as straight.
** Clara. There are multiple versions of her throughout history becauseÖ ItsALongStory. ''One'' of her, a guest star from some time ago, was in a relationship with a woman at one point. The one who is now a main cast member has a man as her only known love interest but, aside from the one who was with a woman at one point being her too, she also regularly makes homoerotic comments. For example: She mentions that Jane Austen is a "phenomenal kisser". When shown a picture of Amy Pond, she loudly admires the fact that "That woman's ''made'' of legs!"
** The good ol' Doc himself. The Eleventh Doctor has a metric buttload of playful HoYay with Rory Williams, full on snogging him once. There are other offhand lines, such as referring to Amy's male friend as "the good-looking one," or saying of the American founding fathers, "Lovely fellows. Two of them fancied me," or of a wedding, "I danced with everyone at their wedding. The women were all brilliant. The men... were a bit shy." However, he's accidentally been married to women on multiple occasions, and though the NoHuggingNoKissing rule exists he's had an ImpliedLoveInterest relationship with more than one female companion in the new ''and'' old series, and he does have a granddaughter. ''However'' however, the Doctor's view of sex and romance has always been very alien. Being kissed and left totally bewildered by it is a RunningGag over multiple incarnations, and there are also a ton of instances like where someone said he wouldn't mind putting the "Dark Water" that makes non-organic matter transparent while leaving organic material present (thus hiding until the climax that the skeletons in a mausoleum [[spoiler: aren't skeletons, they're Cybermen!]]) [[PowerPerversionPotential in a swimming pool]], the Doctor was genuinely confused as to why. It would seem that he ''has'' a sexuality, but it's quite alien. On top of that, throw in regeneration; his idea of sexuality might be as malleable as other aspects of him that change with the incarnation.
** More than one male character has not minded his HoYay moments with the Doctor much at all, but it went no further than that. ''Also'', as this is a show that, since the {{Revival}}, does not shy away from having characters who are gay or bi, ambiguous moments are more ambiguous than in other series. What would be clear GettingCrapPastTheRadar in any other show is a bit less clear in this one - in the series that gave us [[AnythingThatMoves Jack Harkness]] and has had an ancient reptile-woman AceDetective ''and her wife'' as {{Recurrer}}s, characters who have HoYay and ShipTease moments ''but no further'' are a bit harder to pin down when it comes to their intended sexuality or relationship status.
* In ''Series/FallingWater'', when Tess brings her agent to meet her mother Charlotte, Charlotte asks if the two women are sleeping together, implying that the agent would not be the first woman Tess has brought home with her. Of course, it later turns out that [[spoiler:Charlotte has been gaslighting Tess about her sex life for years to cover up the fact that she gave Tess' son to the Green]], so it's possible that Charlotte is exaggerating.
* Chiana in ''Series/{{Farscape}}''. She is never clearly stated to have slept with a woman, but she flirts with '''everyone''' at some point, including several female regulars. Then it stopped being ambiguous when the gang encountered a shapechanging EmotionEater monster that could permanently remove emotions from people after provoking them. It ate Chiana's libido (don't worry, she got better). While disguised as a humanoid woman.
* In one episode of ''Series/FatherTed'', Father Jack Hackett, a foul-mouthed, skirt-chasing horndog, climbs naked into bed with Bishop Brennan (albeit while sleepwalking), and, after waking up and realizing where he is, remains in bed with him.
* ''Series/{{Firefly}}'': Kaylee is in love with Simon, but looks just as ecstatic as Jayne when she learns Inara is with a female client.
* JP on ''Series/FreshMeat''. Although he's shown having a healthy interest in women, he also [[ExperimentedInCollege experimented in public school]] with his male best friend. He angsts about what it means when he finds out that his friend is gay. Later on he gets a little too much into kissing Kingsley on a dare.
* ''Series/GameOfThrones'':
** Margaery Tyrell married Renly and Tommen, attempting to sleep with both and succeeding with the latter. However, when talking with Sansa about romance, she lists the guys in a monotone voice, but perks up when she gets to "pretty girls." Then she talks about how sad it is that most girls don't get to try everything they want, and looks directly at Sansa.
** Ramsay has an explicit relationship with Myranda but his "games" with Theon/Reek are filled with 100% nightmare-inducing homosexual undertones. In Season 4, he helps Theon/Reek bathe and even asks if Reek loves him.
** Daenerys has more than a few quasi-romantic moments with Doreah and Missandei, and she seems amused when Yara Greyjoy flirts with her. She's only ever consummated things with men as far as we know, though. In the books, she ''does'' take Irri into her bed on a couple of occasions between Khal Drogo's death and when she eventually hooks up with Daario.
* ''Series/GilmoreGirls'': Rory primarily dates guys, but when her friends mention that her and Paris would make a cute couple, she denies it on the grounds of Paris being "too high maintenance," implying gender wouldn't be an issue.
* ''Series/{{Glee}}'': Given all the LesYay and HoYay and straight relationships a lot of characters come off as this, namely Rachel, Artie, and Sam.
* In the third season of ''Series/HaltAndCatchFire'', Donna seems to have a small crush on Diane, Mutiny's new financial backer. She is visibly disappointed when Diane doesn't want to take her to a networking function, and when Diane offers her the use of her house for a weekend, she sniffs Diane's clothes and even strips down and tries them on. And then there's the matter of her drug-fueled fantasy of having a heart-to-heart conversation with Cameron...
* Ste Hay in ''Series/{{Hollyoaks}}'' who identifies as gay, but had a long relationship and two children with Amy Barnes before coming out (and insists that he was genuinely in love with her). He later sleeps with his friend Sinead, has ''another'' child and then (after his marriage to another man breaks down) dates Sinead for several months and claims to be in love with her too.
* Lix Storm from ''Series/TheHour''. She dresses quite ambiguously for the 1950s setting and flirts with women on occasion, but she's had several hook-ups with men as well.
* The title character of ''Series/{{House}}'' is attracted to Cuddy and has had sex with female prostitutes, but also has a lot of HoYay with other males, including jokingly (?) hitting on Chase numerous times and plenty of maybe-romantic moments with HeterosexualLifePartner Wilson. His actor Creator/HughLaurie has agreed with the statement that Wilson is "the other love of [House's] life."
* Most likely due to Alyson Hannigan's role as Willow (see above), Lily from ''Series/HowIMetYourMother'' is often implied to have bisexual tendencies and has a lot of [[HoYay Les Yay]] with Robin.
* ''Series/ICarly'':
** Sam seems to like guys, but almost none ever last more than one episode, including the one in "iMake Sam Girlier" that such a big deal was made over (an episode that seemed to lampshade Sam's ButchLesbian behavior). She and Carly have a ''lot'' of [[HoYay/ICarly Les Yay]].
** There is also speculation that Carly's brother Spencer might be bi, because of the episode where he was wearing a dress and dancing with cute guys saying, "I think I like it." He also crossdresses regularly enough to know his dress size by heart and had a special relationship with a bathroom assistant that was tinged with HoYay.
* In ''Series/KamenRiderFourze'', [[PerkyGoth Tomoko Nozama]] develops a fixation with Yuki and appears to have a crush on her, but later has a romance with [[TroubledButCute Ryusei]], implying she's attracted to both guys and girls.
* DS James Hathaway of ''Series/{{Lewis}}''. His only two love interests have been women, [[spoiler:including one trans woman]]. However, he has some ambiguous background regarding reasons for leaving his training for a priesthood, [[spoiler:he gave homophobic advice to his gay friend, which would ultimately lead to his suicide]], and when asked by Lewis whether or not he is gay, he does not give a clear answer.
-->'''Lewis:''' Are you gay?\\
'''Hathaway:''' What's that mean?\\
'''Lewis:''' You know what that means.\\
'''Hathaway:''' What, that there's boys and girls and a nice neat straight line down the middle, and gay's if you like shoes and musicals and straight's if you read ''Loaded'' and eat Yorkie bars?
* Hawkeye Pierce from ''Series/{{Mash}}'' has flirted with everybody except for Sherman Potter. Admittedly, he was just doing it to be a JerkAss half the time, but there are ways of doing that that don't make people speculate about whether you were sincere or not.
* On ''Series/MrRobot'', CorruptCorporateExecutive Tyrell Wellick is shown having sex with a male secretary in order to hack his cell phone, despite the fact that Tyrell has a pregnant wife at home. It's unclear if Tyrell is gay and in the closet, a DepravedBisexual, or just a straight man willing to do anything for his career.
* ''Series/{{NCIS}}'':
** Ziva, although it's also been suggested that she drops these hints just to torture Tony.
** CGIS Agent Borin. In "Oil and Water", she and Tony are chasing a suspect, which she [=KOs=] with a left-handed swing of an oar. Her explanation is...interesting.
--->'''Borin:''' College softball.\\
'''Tony:''' Southpaw?\\
'''Borin:''' I swung both ways.
* Morello of ''Series/OrangeIsTheNewBlack''. She dreams of settling down with a husband and became a StalkerWithACrush for Christopher but also didn't mind getting intimate with Nicky in prison. Whether she's bisexual or just resorting to SituationalSexuality remains to be seen. There's also Soso who mentioned offhand to Nicky when they were performing oral sex on each other that she may have tried intimacy with a girl before.
* ''Series/ParksAndRecreation'': April marries Andy, and briefly mentions being aroused by a topless centaur painting of Leslie.
* A third of the female cast of ''Series/PrettyLittleLiars'', but most notably Alison Dilaurentis. Her affairs with older men serve as the motive for many suspects in the show's universe, and she was shown to be popular with boys her own age as well. She also had a private, unofficial relationship with the then-closeted Emily, though her attraction was implied to be disingenuous-- even still, she assures Emily that she favors her above all others. Alison's extreme protectiveness over the three girls is evident, but her manipulation regarding Emily seems solely focused on keeping her from coming out and connecting with other queer women. She goes so far as to extort Paige, a later love interest for Emily, and delays their relationship by several years, though Alison likely intended to prevent it entirely. Additionally, she led Spencer in a romantic slow-dance with the casual handwave that it was only "practice" for dancing with boys, the same excuse she gave for kissing Emily, and it's heavily implied Alison would tease and flirt with all the girls under the guise of "practice." [[spoiler: confirmed, when she confessed her feelings for Emily to Paige]]
* ''Series/{{Psych}}'':
** There's little doubt that Shawn likes the ladies, but he's also really quite cool about flirting with/trying it on with the guys as well:
--->'''Shawn:''' This is a great plan. Callum [=McAllister=] deserves to be commended.\\
'''Gus:''' ''[sarcastic]'' Maybe you should date him, too.\\
'''Shawn:''' ''[confident]'' Maybe I ''will''.
** There's an episode where Lassiter ducks to avoid a woman in the police department because he made out with her at a picnic. Several seconds later he ducks again, when a different person passes.
--->'''Shawn:''' That's a dude!\\
'''Gus:''' ''[deadpan]'' Must have been ''some'' picnic.
*** Lassiter has since been [[https://twitter.com/psychwrites/status/12603936587 confirmed as pansexual]], making him neither ambiguous or bi.
* ''Series/{{Riverdale}}'': In the pilot, when Veronica and Betty are doing cheer trials, team captain Cheryl thinks they're boring, so Veronica kisses Betty. Cheryl isn't impressed, but that's beside the point. While Veronica is less "ambiguously bi" and more "all but stated outright to be bi," Betty notably didn't have any problem with the plan.
* Maura and Jane of ''Series/RizzoliAndIsles''. There's the LesYay they have with each other, and Maura's put an awful lot of thought into what kind of women she'd be into if she were a lesbian, and she makes some comments that indicate that she wouldn't mind having sex with a woman. There's also the road trip to Connecticut in "Family Matters" where Jane creates a "mix tape" for the ride, which features the ladies crooning along to Ambrosia's "Biggest Part of Me." Later, Maura discusses a few revelations she's had to Jane, about "work, and (ex-boyfriends), and you..." and then states "If the next awesome person doesn't come along for a while, that's OK."
* ''Series/{{Scream}}'': Audrey Jensen is only seen dating women, but identifies as bi-curious, making her sexuality ambiguous to herself as well.
* In ''Series/ShakeItUp'', leads [=CeCe=] and Rocky have a ton of LesYay. In one episode when Rocky is asked why she's going to a dance with a particular boy she says that the only two people tall enough to dance with her when she's in heels is that boy and the Captain of the girls basketball tea. Then she looks upset and says "and she didn't ask me".
* ''[[Series/SpartacusBloodAndSand Spartacus Vengeance]]'':
** Saxa sleeps with several of the male fighters. After she and Mira win a fight, she gives Mira a celebratory kiss on the lips. In ''Wrath of the Gods'' the first sex scene is her having a foursome with Gannicus, and she later gropes another woman's breast while making out with her.
** Mira, while surprised by the above kiss, is not overly displeased. Her status as a (former) BeautifulSlaveGirl means she may have previously slept with women, though she obviously wouldn't have had any choice in the matter.
* ''Series/{{Supernatural}}'':
** Crowley, Bobby, and Gabriel all show signs of swinging both ways. Crowley flirts with ''everyone'', usually to creep them out, throw them off their game, and/or make them uncomfortable. Gabriel's also very flirty, but it's not nearly as creepy as Crowley. And Bobby not only (according to [[spoiler:Crowley]]) used tongue when [[AMagicContractComesWithAKiss sealing]] the {{deal|WithTheDevil}} for [[spoiler:Death's location]] but also got this line when under a truth compulsion[[note]]Dean was cursed by a goddess of truth so that everyone near him or speaking to him could only tell him true things, usually worded in such a way as to cause maximum emotional damage, with the end goal of [[DrivenToSuicide driving him to suicide]][[/note]], which could be read as either an UnsettlingGenderReveal or an Unsettling ''Species'' Reveal:
--->'''Bobby:''' Did you know, my first girlfriend turned out to be a--
** Castiel has explicitly stated that he is "indifferent to sexual orientation".
** Pretty much every demon or angel can be seen as at least ambiguously bi, given their predilection for genderswapping their meatsuits/vessels. Take Meg when she possessed Sam and went after Jo, or Lucifer appearing in both male and female forms to essentially seduce his vessels. Although the entire concept of gender is pretty ambiguous--especially for [[OurAngelsAreDifferent angels]]--making the question of sexuality even more confusing.
** Dean Winchester has shippy moments with [[FanPreferredCouple Castiel]] and [[FriendlyNeighborhoodVampire Benny Lafitte]] (and [[IncestYayShipping Sam]], and [[KnightTemplar Gordon]], and [[TortureTechnician Alastair]], [[LauncherOfAThousandShips and Crowley, and Aaron, and...]])
*** And then there's his love for Dr. Sexy.
*** Over on the [[HoYay/{{Supernatural}} Ho Yay page]], there's a lovely collection of links to essays on why Dean is probably bisexual (and not all of it involves Castiel or Benny, or even much shipping).
*** Writer Ben Edlund and producer Phil Sgriccia joked about Dean potentially settling down with Aaron (a gay character who hit on Dean in the episode "Everybody Hates Hitler") in the season 8 DVD commentary, though actor Jensen Ackles has stated that Dean is a "[[http://youtu.be/ra60hGY0fjQ?t=18m34s manly heterosexual guy]]", but if anyone thinks that'll put an end to the debate, we have a nice bridge to sell you.
*** In the season 4 episode "Sex and Violence," [[spoiler:Nick Munroe turned out to be the siren, and took on a male form to gain Dean's trust.]]
** Sam Winchester, as overlooked as it is. He's never been shown to correct someone for thinking he's gay unless it's to tell them that Dean is his brother, not his boyfriend, and, two out of three times, his [[AtTheCrossroads crossroads]] demons--demons who make {{deal|WithTheDevil}}s with humans in exchange for their soul in Hell in ten years' time, [[AMagicContractComesWithAKiss sealed with a kiss]]--manifested as men, which Sam didn't seem surprised by. (Though Dean, who was present the second time this happened, ''was'' surprised and asked why the demon wasn't one of the hot women that ''he'' kept getting. Neither Sam nor the demon answered him.)
* Stiles Stilinski from ''Series/TeenWolf'' is very interested in whether or not he's attractive to gay guys, and asks both Scott and [[StraightGay Danny]] whether they find him attractive, which becomes a RunningGag by the second season. After Sheriff Stilinski [[ItMakesSenseInContext finds him at a gay bar]], Stiles tells his dad that he "could be [gay]", and his dad's only argument is that Stiles can't be gay because his fashion sense is so awful. And that doesn't even begin to cover all of the HoYay moments Stiles has with [[NoSenseOfPersonalSpace Derek]] [[WolfMan Hale]]. This seems to have slipped into BiTheWay with Season 3, in which Stiles, while planning to lose his virginity in order to be safe from what he believes to be a rash of virgin sacrifices, is completely willing to do so with Danny after the latter offers to help him out; the only problem is that Danny wasn't serious about the offer (and Stiles seems disappointed after realizing this). The Season 3B episode "Illuminated" has this exchange, when an explicitly bisexual character asks him about his preferences:
-->'''Stiles:''' I thought you liked girls?\\
'''Caitlin:''' I do like girls. Do you?\\
'''Stiles:''' Absolutely.\\
'''Caitlin:''' Great!\\
'''Stiles:''' So you also like boys?\\
'''Caitlin:''' Absolutely. Do you?\\
'''Stiles:''' ''[stares into the distance and doesn't answer]''
** It was more recently stated by Dylan O'Brien that Stiles is ''not'' attracted to guys, and more or less admitted that the whole thing was ShipTease, with deliberate ShipSinking being written into the plot giving both Derek and Stiles female love interests in order to close the matter. Not that [[DieForOurShip fans]] were happy about or accepted it.
* ''Series/TwoBrokeGirls'': Caroline and Max. The series plays with their [[RomanticTwoGirlFriendship relationship]] but also makes it clear that both are attracted to guys. They also seem to have no problem with kissing each other and Max comments, whether jokingly or not, that she'd "come out" for Lisbeth of ''Literature/TheGirlWithTheDragonTattoo'', and that she's kissed girls before. Not to mention her other snarky double entendres.
* Tori Vega of ''Series/{{Victorious}}''. She had a few (one-episode) boyfriends or love interests and expressed attraction to a recurring male character, though notably had less romantic motivation than many leading ladies in her genre; despite this, she had significant amounts of [[HoYay/{{Victorious}} Les Yay]] with Jade and Cat, and has commented on the good looks of both aforementioned girls as well as [[Series/ICarly Carly]] in the crossover and a few minor or background female characters. She also performs several duets with a male character in which she addresses the subject as female, and even sings lead on the cast cover of "[[Music/MichaelJackson I Want You Back]]" without changing the female pronouns. However, her few solo love songs are either unspecific in their subject matter or use male pronouns.
* ''Series/{{Vikings}}'': Floki is in a relationship with Helga, and is heavily implied to be in love with Ragnar.
* ''Series/Warehouse13'' has Myka Bering. She regularly works with Helena G. Wells (who states that "Many of my lovers have been men") and has vast amounts of LesYay with her, including the time H.G. snuck Myka and herself into a lab in a police station by implying that she was trying to "impress her". It's really only ambiguous because she technically never gets shown to explicitly sleep with a man.
* Mulder in ''Series/TheXFiles'' is pleasantly surprised to hear that Scully thinks Gary Shandling has a crush on him.
* Both Xena and Gabrielle from ''Series/XenaWarriorPrincess'' are infamous for this. Their "relationship" and the subtext behind it, despite all of the relationships with men they both had (and the former's continual FoeRomanceSubtext with Ares), is still one of the best remembered things about the show, even by people who haven't seen it. WordOfGod [[FlipFlopOfGod flip flops]] around, but at one time it stated the characters were common-law married. Lampshaded in the Season 6 episode "You Are There", when a modern-day reporter (LongStory) asks Xena and Gabrielle about the "nature" of their "relationship". Just as the Warrior Princess and her long time side kick were about to answer, the reporters cameras cut out.
-->'''Nigel:''' It's dead?! The battery?! This is the world's greatest story and you're telling me the battery is dead?! I don't believe this! Oh, man!
* Karen Walker on ''Series/WillAndGrace''. Married to men several times, has had many male partners, but Wiki/ThatOtherWiki [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karen_Walker_%28Will_%26_Grace%29#Sexuality has a whole section about her sexuality]].
* There's quite a lot of [[HoYay same gender subtext]] between characters in ''Series/{{Zoey 101}}''. Michael, for example, once called a boy attractive.
-->'''Logan''': Why do you waste your time with the drama club? Why don't you go up for the football team or something?
-->'''Chase''': Because the drama club is loaded with hot girls, and I've seen the football team. They're not hot.
-->'''Michael''': I don't know, man, Dave the quarterback's a pretty handsome dude.
-->(Chase and Logan look at Michael oddly.)
-->'''Michael''': I've said too much.
* Series/TrueBlood has Jason Stackhouse. For a ladies' man, he has ''a lot'' of [[HomoeroticDream interesting dreams]] about guys.
* ''Series/TheGoodPlace'' has Tahani Al-Jamil. She's been attracted to both Chidi and Jason at separate points, but has a lot of borderline-flirty moments with her best friend, Eleanor, as well. Eleanor is canonically [[BiTheWay bisexual]], and has an expressed an attraction to Tahani, sometimes openly flirting with her, and Tahani doesn't appear to mind this. [[spoiler:We also find out that in at least one of the reboots, Michael set the two of them up as soulmates, and Tahani seemed quite eager to impress Eleanor upon their first meeting.]] Then there's this bit of dialogue...
-->'''Tahani:''' Oh, this is silly. So, "Tahani" means "congratulations" in Arabic. And "Al-Jamil" means "beautiful," so my full name all together means...\\
'''Eleanor:''' "Congratulations, beautiful."\\
'''Tahani:''' ''(smiling)'' Thanks, Eleanor. You big flirt.

* VisualKei as a genre is somewhat notorious for people both being and pretending to be this, at least with onstage fanservice. It actually pre-dated its current use as YaoiFangirl fanservice, though, with an outsize population of ''actual'' bisexuals or at the very least [[SituationalSexuality men willing to touch, kiss, flirt with, and occasionally even possibly have sex with other men]] from the very beginning of the scene, with ''at least two'' founders of the scene itself being bisexual offstage, although concealing that they actually were. This led to a very accepting climate for gay and bisexual men and [[GuyOnGuyIsHot man on man fanservice]], which began as a way to flip off a conservative Japanese society that believed same-sex attraction among men was "excessive" and "perverted" and a "phase" to be grown out of to marry a woman and have children and to provide a plausible cover story of "it's just fanservice," to protect everyone and their reputations. Music/XJapan was the band that kicked off the entire idea of man on man fanservice onstage - and still holds the title for some of the most RefugeInAudacity examples, ''and'' has had members eventually subtly come out, albeit not in press conferences or exact words. Music/{{Adams}} is a duet centered around the idea of being a male couple, though in their case it's inverted - both members are suspected to actually be heterosexual offstage.
* The LoonyFan in "Stan" by Music/{{Eminem}} sounds like he is in love with Eminem and says that they should be together. His girlfriend is even jealous of his obsession with Eminem.
* "Girl Crush" by Little Big Town is about someone who is jealous of a woman because she's with the man she loves. She also sounds like she wants the object of her jealousy. She sings lyrics like "I want to taste her lips, yeah, 'cause she tastes like you", "I wanna drown myself in a bottle of her perfume", and other romantic sounding lyrics about the woman she's jealous of.
* Much of Music/SufjanStevens' music has an ambiguously bi aura to it. In some songs ("Casimir Pulaski Day," for instance) he seems to be singing about a female love interest, in others ("The Predatory Wasp of the Palisades," "Drawn to the Blood") it's pretty clearly a man, and in a few ("Impossible Soul") it could go either--or both--ways. As Stevens has never spoken publicly about his sexuality, his fans tend to read into his lyrics whatever they want to see in them.

[[folder: Podcast]]
* ''Podcast/DiceFunk'': Rinaldo is introduced as a suave lady's man who hits on the first female NPC the party meets. He then proceeds to flirt with a number of male characters.

[[folder: Professional Wrestling]]
* After gay rights activists [[GenreBlind complained]] about Wrestling/{{Goldust}} on [[Wrestling/WWERaw Monday Night Raw]] for his {{ambiguously gay}} [[GorgeousGeorge gimmick]], Goldust instead began showing an equal amount of interest in men and women.
* Matt Striker seems like a straight man, never expressing attraction to anything but women, but he once had an affair with Buff E [[SecretTestOfCharacter to prove the man wasn't ready for marriage]]. Mace Mendoza, claims to be gay but when the affair was exposed he also revealed he had been cheating with his bride's maid and had gotten her pregnant. Also, Mendoza once stuck his junk in the face of [[Wrestling/MickieJames Alexis Laree]] because he thought it would make Allison Danger happy.
* Wrestling/JimmyJacobs. His StarMakingRole in Wrestling/RingOfHonor revolved around his attempts to woo The Lovely Lacey but he showed an equal amount of interest in later ROH Champion Adam Cole.
* Wrestling/TripleH: "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65OkA2HHLYA There's a lot of bi things I am, but -lingual isn't one of them.]]"

[[folder: Stand-Up Comedy]]
* Creator/LouisCK, in [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hc3t-TdOJuU one of his routines]], mentions that he saw a beautiful couple; a beautiful woman together with a beautiful man. He then says that he doesn't care that the man is beautiful and that he'd be willing to suck his dick. When referring to men who perform oral sex on other men, rather than being repelled by it, he defends it as being one of the gutsiest things a man can do.

[[folder:Video Games]]
* ''Videogame/TheBlackwellSeries'': Joey's a ChivalrousPervert and was very much in love with Lauren Blackwell, but a flashback in ''Epiphany'' implies that he also had feelings for his former assistant, Danny Marconi [[spoiler: (who he died protecting)]]. [[TheEmpath Madeline]] picks up on this very quickly.
--> '''Madeline:''' Danny Marconi is important to you, is he not? Your energy... your aura, if you will... it changes when you speak of him. So tell us.... what is Danny to you?\\
'''Joey:''' ''(agitated)'' I have no idea what you're talking about.\\
'''Madeline:''' [[LivingLieDetector You know precisely what I am talking about.]]
* ''VideoGame/BlazBlue'' has [[AnIcePerson Jin Kisaragi]], whose speech patterns grow very [[{{Yandere}} disturbing]] in a DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything kind of way whenever he gets the chance to talk to his dear [[BigBrotherAttraction 'niisan']]. It's established in ''[[VideoGame/BlazBlueContinuumShift Continuum Shift]]'' though that there is something between him and [[LadyOfWar Tsubaki]], but that doesn't stop the HoYay moments with Ragna.
* ''VideoGame/{{Bully}}'':
** Jimmy can date just about every girl in the game and can also kiss a select few boys [[GayOption if the player elects to]]. During a cutscene, Pinky Gauthier mentions that [[GameplayAndStoryIntegration there are rumors about this floating around the school]].
** A few of Peanut Romano's EnemyChatter lines indicate that he's crushing on both Lola Lombardi and her boyfriend, Johnny Vincent. He's pretty conflicted about it.
---> "Johnny's too good for Lola..."\\
"What does Lola see in Johnny?"\\
"What can I do to please [[FreudianSlip Johnny]]- I mean Lola! [[DiggingYourselfDeeper No, I mean]]..."
** Vance Medici can be seen flirting with girls but is also one of the boys Jimmy can date.
** Another GayOption is Gord Vendome, who's very flamboyant and [[CampGay camp]] but also dates [[FieryRedhead Lola]] at one point.
* ''VideoGame/DynastyWarriors'': Zhang He seems to play this trope to it's extreme given his hyper-flamboyant attitude and intense attraction towards anyone he finds beautiful, elegant, refined etc.
%%* Endrance in ''VideoGame/DotHackGU''.
* ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII'':
** Vanille and especially Fang; while they get the majority of their shipping with ''each other'', Vanille gets significant shipping with Hope - to the point of appearing upset when he makes her think he likes her, only to reveal he was joking - and Fang receives several moments with Snow (despite him having a canon love interest in Serah) and Lightning (in a flirty BattleCouple, SlapSlapKiss, sense) before, and even after, she is reunited with Vanille.
** Lightning receives about an equal amount of shipping moments with Fang and Hope and has no canon love interest.
* ''VideoGame/FireEmblem'':
** Lucia of ''VideoGame/FireEmblemTellius'' is [[RomanticTwoGirlFriendship extremely close to]] [[PrincessClassic Elincia]], yet she also has BelligerentSexualTension with [[PurpleProse Bastian]].
** Legault from ''[[VideoGame/FireEmblemElibe Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword]]'' occasionally makes remarks that could lead to certain assumptions being made about him in his conversations with Lloyd, Matthew, and Heath... but then again, he makes similar remarks to Isadora.
** Florina is afraid of men, yet lived with Lyn for a time on the Sacaean plains, and tells Lyn "Oh, I do so love you!". She can also marry Hector if she gets an 'A' level support with him.
** Ike shows all the female allies he has with the same level of professionalism as the other men in his troop, regardless of how much they obviously like him. And in his ending, he may be accompanied by one of two guys to quest for other civilizations. A character in ''Awakening'' implies that he is Ike's descendant, though in what way is made ambiguous, as a wife is never mentioned, and his sister can marry and possibly bear collateral descendants.
** Kjelle of ''[[VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening Awakening]]'' can only marry male characters, but the sheer amount of LesYay between her and Severa almost removes the ambiguity. And then in a DLC episode Kjelle accidentally takes a truth serum and practically spews a love confession. Severa herself is obsessed with making Kjelle a ProperLady instead of the TheLadEtte, but keeps getting [[DistractedByTheSexy distracted by Kjelle's abs.]]
** Maribelle also counts. She can only marry male characters, but [[RomanticTwoGirlFriendship her friendship with Lissa]] is positively dripping with subtext.
** Similarly, Camilla from ''[[VideoGame/FireEmblemFates Fates]]'' can only marry men. However, she's ''incredibly'' possessive of her retainers (both of whom are female), particularly Selena (who happens to be the aforementioned Severa under an alias) and the Avatar. Her rather flirty-sounding dialogue with Corrin is also unchanged regardless of whether you're playing as male or female.
* ''VideoGame/GuildWars2'':
** In this game, character dialogue varies based on the race and profession you choose for your PlayerCharacter, but (barring a few very specific situations) not with gender. So if a character flirts with the player character, they will flirt with the player character regardless of what gender they are.
** Canach in particular does this with Sylvari player characters during Heart of Thorns.
* ''VideoGame/HarvestMoonDS [[DistaffCounterpart Cute]]'':
** All of the "Special Girls". They can become just as smitten with you when you're playing as a girl as they did when you were playing as Pete. The Japanese version has a gay marriage system for them under the guise of a "Best Friends" system. Everyone calls you "best friends" but you have the exact same dialogue as in the boy version, you can have a child with them, and you go through the same courting rituals (Heart Events and all).
** The Goddess is this even without the Best Friend System. She and the Witch Princess are both available love interests to the male hero but have a FoeRomanceSubtext filled relationship. The Goddess' notorious apathy toward you when she's your wife doesn't help.
** The Mineral Town girls. They are ''very'' friendly with the main character after you befriend them, like visiting your house for play dates, and they even have moments with {{NPC}}s. Similarly, but less apparent and extreme, their [[GenerationXerox ancestors]] in ''[[VideoGame/HarvestMoonBackToNature More Friends of Mineral Town]]''.
* ''Franchise/MetalGearSolid'':
** In the first game, Solid Snake seemed attracted towards Meryl but has been hanging out with Hal "Otacon" Emmerich since meeting up with him in Shadow Moses.
** Hal "Otacon" Emmerich, as mentioned above, has tons of HoYay with Solid Snake, yet he had a crush on Sniper Wolf in the first game and fell in love with Naomi in the fourth game.
** Solid Snake's father, Big Boss has lots of HoYay with Revolver Ocelot and Kazuhiro "Kaz" Miller, yet he fell in love with Eva.
* ''VideoGame/{{Persona 3}}'':
** The PSP remake allows you to play as a female protagonist. The relationship between the canon male protagonist and [[RobotGirl Aigis]] is a major part of the game, and some romantic tension is thrown in it as well. Absolutely none of this is changed for the female protagonist (naturally, she can hook up with three of your four male party members and is the target of two of her male Social Links' affections), and it's highlighted in Aigis's Social Link in that additional {{Gayngst}} is added on her part.
** Yukari and Mitsuru develop a pretty intense friendship towards the end of the game, with a good part of their canonical character growth depending on the other. Both develop a crush on the male MC and can be romanced by him, though their relationship with the female MC shares just enough dialogue to suggest that they might see her the same way.
* ''VideoGame/{{Persona 4}}'':
** [[JapaneseDelinquents Kanji Tatsumi]]. [[CampGay His Shadow]] aside, he has a crush on [[KidDetective Naoto Shirogane]] throughout the course of the game - thing is, [[spoiler:Naoto is thought to be male at first, yet when it's found out that she's female, Kanji's crush still remains, and he's relieved to discover that Naoto was a girl the entire time]]. He also displays a small crush on Chihiro Fushimi, but at the same time, there's...''[[{{HoYay}} something]]'' that seemingly goes beyond friendship in his Social Link with [[HelloInsertNameHere the male protagonist]].
** Yosuke and the protagonist are HeterosexualLifePartners, and he canonically has a crush on Saki, but DummiedOut dialogue indicates he was originally planned as the protagonist's GayOption. Meaning it wasn't so "ambiguous" in early development.
** Chie and Yukiko. It's possible for the main character to date either one (or both) of them, but their relationship with each other is dripping with lesbian subtext, to the point that it forms the basis for their shadows.
** Teddie acts very flirty towards the protagonist, and kissed Kanji while drunk at the kings game. He also enjoyed cross dressing as he dressed up as Alice during the school cross dressing contest and he picked out an outfit for his human form to wear that looked camp. However, he has hit on women too, including Rise.
** The ''P4'' hero can be played this way. There's nothing stopping you from romancing any of the girls while flirting with Kanji, Teddie, and Yosuke, only the latter of whom will have a problem with it. Not to mention ''VideoGame/PersonaQ'' allowing you to do the same with the ''P3'' hero, with other characters noticing how they seem drawn to one another.
* ''VideoGame/Persona5'':
** Yusuke's entire sexuality is up for grabs, as he claims his interest in the human body is purely for aesthetics. He shows interest in seeing both Ann and the protagonist in the buff, and not very professionally either. That said, he shows a similar interest in a pair of lobsters, and shows an aversion to romance at times.
** Futaba develops a crush on the protagonist even without being romanced, yet enjoys the [[MsFanservice kinkiness]] of the other female party members' costumes.
* ''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}'':
** Elsa from ''VideoGame/PokemonBlackAndWhite'' and ''VideoGame/PokemonBlack2AndWhite2'' throws a kiss at you no matter what your gender is. She's also pretty close to Skyla and gravitates exclusively towards Join Avenue shops with a "dazzlingly cute girl".
** Shauna from ''VideoGame/PokemonXAndY'' has dialogue with the protagonist that sounds like {{Ship Tease}}, no matter whether you play as Calem or Serena.
** Lillie from ''VideoGame/PokemonSunAndMoon'' also has a bit of this. She has ShipTease with the protagonist regardless of gender and reacts to the posing of MsFanservice Olivia.
* In the third ''VideoGame/{{Rayman}}'' game, Globox was depicted very... strangely, to say the least. In one boss fight, he shouts "Hey! Get your hands off of '''MY''' Rayman!"; if he's [[VideoGameCrueltyPotential punched during gameplay]] one of the things he says is "I'm a lover, not a fighter!"; and near the beginning he hugs Rayman so closely and tightly that another character is compelled to ask "Hey, you got room for a third?". That's not even covering his dream about pregnancy and maternal attitude towards the main villain... And yet if plot points of the game and previous interpretations of the character are anything to go by, he is quite clearly attracted to other females of his species.
* Carlos of ''VideoGame/RuneFactory3''. There are a few incest jokes about him and his sister, he mentions that he couldn't be tied down to just one woman, and will react positively if you wear the "girly" cologne. However, a lot of his talks with the player make him seem like he's flirting. Give him his favorite gift on his birthday, and he'll ask to kiss you.
* ''VideoGame/SaintsRow'':
** The Boss, especially if you play as a female character. Many of the things she says to Shaundi and Kinzie come off as flirtatious and mentions stripper poles quite often (male strippers usually don't poledance), but also mentions that she likes men (while disguised as Cyrus Temple though). In ''VideoGame/SaintsRowIV'' all crew members except Creator/KeithDavid can be romanced regardless of your character's gender, removing the ambiguity.
** Matt Miller has an unhealthy obsession with Nyte Blayde, but has a girlfriend in ''VideoGame/SaintsRowTheThird'' and mentioned having crushes on Kinzie and Asha in ''IV''.
* Custom female characters in ''[[VideoGame/SoulSeries Soul Calibur 5]]'' with the "Femme Fatale" voice option. Their dialogue consists of a lot of flirtatious quotes, which they'll use whatever the gender of their opponent.
* ''VideoGame/SummonNight Swordscraft Story 2'':
** Lynn flirts with protagonist whether they're a boy or a girl, though it's rather ambiguous if it's teasing or not.
** Aera reacts to Lynn wanting to kiss her rather suspiciously but also has ShipTease with boys.
* Luigi from ''Franchise/SuperMarioBros'' is campy and shows attraction to Prince Peasley. Still he's the ImpliedLoveInterest to Daisy and has shown attraction to several female characters in varying continuities.
* ''VideoGame/TalesSeries'':
** ''VideoGame/TalesOfVesperia'':
*** Estelle has a pretty obvious BodyguardCrush on [[TheHero Yuri]], although she also has way, ''way'' too much ShipTease with Rita for it simply to be called "subtext". While ''Vesperia'' is [[NoHuggingNoKissing pretty platonic on the whole]], some of their moments blur that line. They also get an in-universe PortmanteauCoupleName.
*** Yuri himself gets this - and so does his ChildhoodFriend Flynn who appears to be the target of Yuri's affection, even seeming to return it. Those two are a major reason why ''Vesperia'' has its own HoYay page and you could make a drinking game out of the times Yuri (especially early on) brings up Flynn randomly in such a way to make you wonder. Yuri also can make some comments towards ''[[ChivalrousPervert Raven]]'' who...doesn't seem to mind too much.
** ''VideoGame/TalesOfBerseria'':
*** Velvet is a rare case where both sides are roughly the same level of ambiguous. It's implied she had a crush on Arthur back in her younger years, as Magilou correctly deduced (based on Velvet's surprise and corresponding blush) that Velvet once liked a guy who "[[UnrequitedLove was always on the other side of the door, so you could only look at his feet]]." The anime also plays it up a bit by having her flirt more obviously with Rokurou, but the game itself has her teasing Laphicet about how "I didn't cover my eyes" when she got an eye-full from Rokurou at the bath scene in the BonusDungeon, and her frequent checking of him out when he's training even as she admits she has no reason to by the third time. On the girl side, many of her interactions with Eleanor also veer into LesYay given their status as HeterosexualLifePartners, such as her happily offering to massage Eleanor with sun screen in a summer DLC skit, but it's Velvet's relationship with Niko that seals it. She once remarked how she'd marry Niko if she were a guy; Niko said the same to her. In [[spoiler: Melchior's illusions in Aball]], it's revealed her version of an ideal life has (a very affectionate) Niko refusing to marry anyone or even leave the village until Velvet returns, and that's with Velvet in full awareness of Niko having a crush on a young male vet who works out of town.
*** Eleanor's ShipTease is almost exclusively with Velvet and she turns down the [[DudeMagnet surprising number of men who propose to her]], but she does have a few moments with Laphicet when Bienfu is teasing them.
* ''VideoGame/{{Undertale}}'':
** Alphys confesses her love for fish-girl Undyne in the best ending, but also has a known crush on Asgore and... appreciates Mettaton's male physique.

[[folder:Visual Novels]]
* ''Franchise/AceAttorney'':
** Max Galactica, who is mostly a CampStraight circus performer has his heart set on marrying Regina, the daughter of his boss at the circus but he flirts around with both Phoenix and Maya. He might have been joking when he did that but he does qualify since this is called "Ambiguously" bi.
** Klavier Gavin, from ''VisualNovel/ApolloJusticeAceAttorney'', flirts with just about every girl he comes across but also acts ''very'' flirty towards Apollo.
* Saber of ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'' has her main relationship with the male Shirou, but she also doesn't mind Rin [[ThreeWaySex getting involved]], and in the end of the Unlimited Blade Work ending actually becomes part of ''Rin's'' harem along with Shirou. In ''LightNovel/FateZero'' her relationship with Irisviel is more than a little eyebrow-raising, though it never appears to go past the CourtlyLove level. And that's before remembering that Saber is actually [[spoiler:King Arthur]], and as we all know the legend states [[spoiler:s/he married Guinevere, and though it's specifically referred to as a SexlessMarriage that was only done so Saber's gender wouldn't be questioned the two of them seem to have had some affection for each other, though as another nod to the original legend Guinevere was ultimately in love with Lancelot and we all know how [[LoveRuinsTheRealm that worked out]].]]
* ''VisualNovel/HigurashiWhenTheyCry'':
** Rena [[ImTakingHerHomeWithMe takes home]] anyone regardless of their gender, age, or species.
** Shion has a considerable amount of IncestSubtext with her twin sister Mion, despite having a canon male love interest in Satoshi.
** Rika and Satoko have a considerably LesYay filled relationship but there are implications that Rika is attracted to Keiichi, and arguably Akasaka. Rika also [[spoiler:has an incarnation in ''VisualNovel/UminekoWhenTheyCry'' who is in a relationship with a girl, who is literally a mishmash of Satoko and [[FoeYay Miyo]].]]
* ''VisualNovel/NewDanganRonpaV3'':
** Kokichi Oma provided some HoYay throughout the game as he is implied to have a crush on Shuichi and Rantaro. In addition to that, he had [[spoiler:Kaito (who was impersonating Kokichi for most of the fifth trial) say that he loved Himiko in Chapter Five.]] He repeatedly insults and [[SlutShaming Slut Shames]] Miu from the first trial onwards (even though Miu [[TooKinkyToTorture makes it clear she actually]] [[TheImmodestOrgasm enjoys it quite a lot]]), and in their relationship chart, he demands she get on her knees for him.
** Ki-bo wanted to hold hands with Shuichi in his Love Hotel event and he has some quite strong chemistry with [[{{Robosexual}} Miu]]. Which make sense with him having a NoBiologicalSex.
** Tenko is a rare case of the ambiguity being on the heterosexual side. Tenko gets flustered when complimented by Kaede and is clearly infatuated with Himiko, which Tenko herself outright confirms. Additionally, despite the fact that she DoesNotLikeMen, it does not necessarily mean she is incapable of being attracted to them: in her Love Hotel event, it shows she is not above allowing Shuichi to do what he wants with her, so she can develop feelings for a man that has gained her trust.
* [[{{Tsundere}} Icari Isidolde]] from ''VisualNovel/{{Sunrider}}'' is unquestionably attracted to Kayto Shields (much as she might try to deny it), but thereís also enough HomoeroticSubtext in her friendship with the AmbiguouslyGay Kryska Stares that other characters have pointed it out to her in-universe. She denies this the same way she denies her attraction to Kayto: by getting flustered and saying ďI-itís not like I like her or anything!Ē

[[folder:Web Animation]]
* ''WebAnimation/{{RWBY}}'': Yang Xiao Long is demonstrably attracted to men, but there is a somewhat intimate scene in which she asks her partner Blake (don't let her [[GenderBlenderName name]] fool you) to dance, and really sells the request with a suggestive wink. Nothing is confirmed yet, but the implications are hard to miss. It's also worth noting that after a long TraumaCongaLine for Yang over the course of season 3 the thing she seems to be the more upset over is [[spoiler: Blake abandoning her without a word much like her [[MissingMom mother]] rather then her missing arm]].

* ''Webcomic/ElGoonishShive'':
** Noah, who is well aware of this.
--->'''Noah:''' You are surprised I have a girlfriend?\\
'''Elliot:''' I ASSUMED NOTHING!\\
'''Noah:''' ''(grinning)'' Of course not.
** Ashley was attracted to Elliot just from watching him on his show with Susan and became even more interested in him upon learning he can turn into a woman. Her sexuality was discussed between Elliot and Tedd, but they aren't sure either. Turns out, she [[http://www.egscomics.com/index.php?id=2044 doesn't really like labels but can find both men and women attractive]].
* ''Webcomic/GunnerkriggCourt'':
** Kat has crushes on Alistair and Eglamore, her friendship with Annie has a lot of romantic tinges, and as of Chapter 42 she's [[spoiler:dating Paz]]. It's entirely probable that she's still discovering her sexuality, but bisexual seems the most likely.
** Antimony Carver has an ambiguous relationship with Kat and Jack, and, if what Zimmy [[http://www.gunnerkrigg.com/?p=1036 found in her mind]] is any indicator, she is attracted to Jones.
* ''Webcomic/{{Homestuck}}'':
** Jake is likely [[BiTheWay bi]] to some degree, but there's enough ambiguity about his relationship with Dirk that he could still be exclusively straight.
** Caliborn is clearly interested in "the bitches", but also has quite a bit of a (one-sided) VillainousCrush on [[spoiler:Dirk]], to the point of drawing fanart of the two of them being "more than friendly" together. (This being [[TerribleArtist Caliborn]], though, it's impossible to tell what he ''actually'' drew.)
** Rose is dating a girl, but is also fond of certain masculine literary figures and implies that she and Dave treated one another differently before [[spoiler:they found out they were brother and sister]].
** Post-retcon, the Vriskagram suggests that Dave and [[spoiler:Karkat]] might be in a romantic relationship. In his later conversation with John, Dave resists identifying as either exclusively straight or exclusively gay. He crosses out of this trope and into BiTheWay after asking Dirk for advice on how to come out to one's friends.
** Pre-retcon, Roxy had a staggering amount of ShipTease with Calliope and at least a little with Jane; post-retcon, she spends about 5 lines constructing an elaborate description of how hot Jane is. On the other hand, she's expressed much more direct interest in both Dirk and John.
** Some of the [[AllTrollsAreDifferent trolls]] are only shown attracted to one gender or aren't shown in a relationship at all, but are assumed to be bisexual due to [[EveryoneIsBi that being the norm in troll society]]. As [[LipstickLesbian Kanaya]] demonstrates, it's rare but entirely possible for a troll to be monosexual.
* ''Webcomic/MenageA3'' does this a lot, although over time it tends to settle down to making most (though not all) of its characters definitely bi.
** For example, [=DiDi=], Sandra, Sonya and Gary have all claimed to be straight, but hinted at or dabbled in bisexuality at times from the first ([=DiDi=] and Sandra even went so far as to attempt lesbian sex with each other, only to conclude that they were really "two naked straight girls with poor boundary issues"); [=DiDi=] and Sonya are nowadays fully functionally bisexual.
** Also, Zii always held that Yuki was not a lesbian, she just didn't like penises due to a childhood trauma from the work left lying around the home by her father, a manga-artist who became famous as [[AllAnimeIsNaughtyTentacles "The Tentacle King"]] -- and this now appears to be entirely correct.
** After it seemed that Sandra's heterosexuality had been confirmed by her attempt with [=DiDi,=] spinoff comic ''Webcomic/SandraOnTheRocks'' had Cammi bring the trope racing back to the surface for her. Also in that comic, teenage geek Alex seems increasingly ambiguous about his complete commitment to heterosexuality.
** Another spinoff comic, ''Webcomic/StickyDillyBuns'', has Jerzy, who keeps insisting that bisexuality was a stage on the road to homosexuality for him. This might be more convincing if he didn't still sometimes have sex with women.
* ''Webcomic/TheNightBelongsToUs'':
** Ada specifically tells Hank that she's [[ExactWords "not gay,"]] but Ada's only love interests in the story, including her ex-girlfriend Miss Chief, are female.
** Lendfire, though calling Ada beautiful, is also possessed of an unhealthy obsession with his master, Gustav.
* [[TokenEvilTeammate Belkar]] of ''Webcomic/TheOrderOfTheStick'' kisses gender-ambiguous Vaarsuvius during a New Year's party and seems to love hitting on [[TheHero Roy]], especially when Roy is temporarily [[GenderBender turned into a woman]] and Belkar hits on "her" [[http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0244.html knowing full well who it really is]]. [[http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0698.html Much later]], he volunteers to investigate brothels for information on an elusive character, and isn't at all put out when Roy reminds him to check with prostitutes of both genders.
* In track 5 of ''Webcomic/TheRockCocks'', Elizabeth is sent to wake up a naked Steg and Suria in the grotto. When she finds the two on top of each other, she has a hard time deciding which she should look at; [[spoiler:Steg's "morning wood"]] or [[spoiler:Suria's "pretty"]].
* Captain Tyr from ''Webcomic/{{Skins}}''. He likes a female soldier named Jordan but seems a little too enthusiastic when it comes to arresting the PrettyBoy male vampire, [[http://lj-phillips.deviantart.com/art/Let-s-Party-Thank-You-For-12-000-Views-376924194 Rabbit]] (who is openly in love with Tyr). The entire piece looks like a gay musical version of ''Film/TheBodyguard''.

[[folder:Web Original]]
* ''WebVideo/CatMuto'' is in a straight relationship, but openly admits on having a crush on Creator/MaayaSakamoto.
* ''WebVideo/DragonBallZAbridged'': Dende has a crush on Gohan, and expresses a desire to "nestle inside" Bulma's boobs. The latter coukd just be alien curiosity, however.
* WebVideo/MatthewSantoro has been shown to have a girlfriend, but he's also expressed sexual attraction to the male UsefulNotes/AlGore.
* ''WebVideo/YugiohTheAbridgedSeries'': Yami Yugi. Bakura's gaydar has reacted to him, he believes that the Millennium Puzzle is just fabulous, has an obsession with leather pants, and claimed that he was straight if Kaiba's ghost was real. Turns out the "ghost" was actually a gay clown. However, he occasionally shows interest in both genders, including Téa, though in "They Saved Tristan's Brain," it's revealed that he isn't sure if she's a girl. And then there's Bonds Beyond Time Abridged, where he is openly attracted to Yusei and in "What Would Yugi Do" he pervs on Yugi.

[[folder:Western Animation]]
* ''WesternAnimation/AdventureTime'':
** Marceline the Vampire Queen. We know from "Memory of a Memory" that she used to be in relationship with a BastardBoyfriend, but it has also been ''heavily'' implied in "What Was Missing" and "Sky Witch" that she and Princess Bubblegum were [[LesYay very close]] once and that she still retains feelings for PB. Eventually her voice actress Olivia Olson revealed that indeed Marceline and Princess Bubblegum used to date.
** Princess Bubblegum herself has all the implications listed above with Marceline, but has also described a male character as her "boyfriend" in a flashback to the past, and had a ShipTease with Finn when she was de-aged.
** Finn the Human had a long time PrecociousCrush on Bubblegum and a relationship with Flame Princess, but is either bisexual or ''very'' comfortable in his sexuality. In "The Hard Easy" he saves a cursed frog prince by kissing him, something that the prince says "few guys would do", and Finn nonchalantly shrugs off kissing a man because he's "comfortable with himself like that". In "Davey" he makes a secret identity for himself and goes out to dinner with a guy, then leaves his hero life behind to build a shack and live with his date. He hints that he has "repressed emotional feelings" for [[TheDitz Cinnamon Bun]], has kissed (on the cheek, granted) and cuddled [[DirtyOldMan Ice King]], and admits to watching Jake sleep. Finn reached puberty without ever having met somebody of the same species as him, so it's quite plausible that his sexuality might be a bit... undirected.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Archer}}'':
** Woodhouse had an obvious, HoYay-laden crush on his WWI squadmate Reggie Thistleton, but also finds Malory "drop-dead sexy".
** Cheryl used to date Dr. Krieger and has never been in a relationship with a woman, but gets off to being strangled and beaten, regardless of who's doing it, and may have flirted with Lana in Season 4. She also seriously dug the Queen Kong vibe that Pam gave off after the latter got high on cocaine and carried her off as a hostage.
** Ray identifies as gay and generally only shows interest in men. However, he was once seemingly offered an opportunity to have sex with [[MsFanservice Lana]] and tried to go for it. When questioned about this, he merely replied "Nobody's ''that'' gay."
** And Lana agrees to have sex with Pam in the same episode. Although, Lana has to pretend that Pam is Alex Karras to get through it.
* ''WesternAnimation/AsToldByGinger'':
** Courtney Gripling canonically likes boys but is also unusually fond of Ginger Foutely. She was [[WhatCouldHaveBeen originally]] going to outright confess that she had a crush on her, but Creator/{{Nickelodeon}} nixed the idea.
** Dodie develops a crush on a male foreign exchange student and goes to the dance with a boy but also Dodie seems to be a bit too obsessed with both Ginger and Courtney. Any time Ginger or herself gets an opportunity to be within five feet of Courtney, Dodie freaks out, sometimes almost fainting, such as when she got partnered with her in chemistry class in "The 'A' Ticket". She has a "Ginger wig" and sings Ginger's "Copper-Colored Ponies" song in front of her bedroom mirror while wearing it. Dodie is also very against Ginger spending more time with her boyfriend than her.
** Miranda obviously likes boys (and even dated Darren) but she often comes across as a jealous girlfriend when it comes to Courtney's friendship with Ginger. She also called a girl cute in one episode before [[DistractedByTheSexy Courtney told her to focus]]. Another episode had her act disgusted when Courtney hugged her as well.
* ''WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender'':
** Azula has tons of LesYay with Ty Lee and Mai and she freaks out [[spoiler:after they betray her]] but she also has subtext with [[BrotherSisterIncest her brother]] as well trying (and failing) to seduce a guy at a party, and she generates FoeRomanceSubtext with ''everyone'' regardless of gender.
** Ty Lee seems to show an interest in Sokka, but also seems to show an interest in Azula. On Ember Island, she prefers Azula's company to the company of several attractive boys who really like her. She also tells Azula that she's the smartest, prettiest, most perfect girl in the world. More than once.
* The title character of ''WesternAnimation/Ben10'' has had several heterosexual relationships, and tons of HoYay with Kevin.
* Dana from ''Biatches'' makes it very clear she's into guys, but has a habit of touching her friend Julia in private places and lifting her skirt, supposedly in a purely playful way.
* Bob from ''WesternAnimation/BobsBurgers''. Despite being HappilyMarried to Linda, he's referred to himself as "Mostly straight", admitted the handsome deli guy who [[MistakenForGay thought he was gay]] was out of his league, and only objected to a jab about marrying a guy with the condition that he wouldn't take his last name.
* ''WesternAnimation/BoJackHorseman'': Mr. Peanutbutter is a serial monogamist who's only dated women, and is totally devoted to his wife, but he's perfectly happy to passionately make out with another man under the guise of restoring their friendship. He also has a considerable amount of HoYay with Todd. And let's not forget his complicated relationship with his {{Frenemy}}, [=BoJack=] himself.
** [=BoJack=] himself, although more subtle. He's a serial womanizer who sleeps with a lot of women. Yet, when [[StraightGay Herb]], friend of his, was outed during TheNineties, he asked him with all the sincerity he could muster if his friends have ever done a "party train" or a "fun circle" since he would be into that. Then, there's also [[BigDamnKiss his (slightly reluctant) kiss]] with Mr. Peanutbutter.
* Philly Phil from ''WesternAnimation/ClassOf3000'' is implied to have a crush on Kim, and even had a girlfriend in "Free Philly." However, he's displayed... '''questionable''' reactions towards [[BrainlessBeauty Grayson Brooding]] and appears quite close to (male) friends Li'l D and Eddie.
* Bunny from ''WesternAnimation/CourageTheCowardlyDog'' has a boyfriend however she also has a very close relationship with her best friend Kitty, to the point where her boyfriend became jealous and tore them apart, that is [[HideYourLesbians all but stated]] to be romantic.
* Mandark from ''WesternAnimation/DextersLaboratory'' is in love with Dee-Dee. However, in one beach episode the ending is clearly romantic tinged as he talks with a boy then walks off with him, holding each others shoulders.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Doug}}'':
** Roger seems to be almost obsessed with the titular character but also has a crush on Judy.
** Patti hints at possibly being attracted to Doug and in "Doug's a Big Fat Liar", Patty goes to a dance with "Melvin", really Judy in drag. Seems innocent enough, but when the whole ruse is revealed, Patty isn't even upset! She even says "Melvin" is the best dancer at the hoedown and continues to dance with Judy throughout the rest of the episode. Also, they share Judy's room in an episode of the Disney series.
* ''WesternAnimation/DragonsRidersOfBerk:''
** One episode of ''Race to the Edge'' has [[CasanovaWannabe Snotlout]] completely smitten by Thor Bonecrusher [[spoiler: (who is just Fishlegs suffering from IdentityAmnesia)]]. Astrid, the most long-standing recipient of Snotlout's [[AbhorrentAdmirer unwanted affection]], is delighted by this development and cites LoveMakesYouDumb when Hiccup wonders why Snotlout allowed Bonecrusher to drag him into one of his more dangerous schemes. Once [[spoiler:Fishlegs reverts back to his normal identity,]] Snotlout kisses him on the cheek and then leaves in tears.
** Ruffnut is attracted to Hiccup (and later Eret and [[spoiler:both Fishlegs and Snotlout]]) but also shows interest in [[HelloNurse Heather]] during the "Have Dragon, Will Travel" two-parter.
* ''WesternAnimation/EdEddNEddy'':
** Double D was shown to go all LoveMakesYouDumb over Nazz like most of the other boys in the neighborhood, and some scenes between [[HoYay Double D and Eddy]] in The Movie just ''scream'' UnresolvedSexualTension. (Plus [[spoiler:Eddy's brother]] thought Double Dee was a girl and came to the conclusion that he was Eddy's "girlfriend".) In "Key to My Ed" Ed is dancing around, grabs Eddy and slams him into Double D, the two catching each other in a dancing position; Double Dee's only remark is a smirk and, "What? No flowers?". Also, his only problem with Ed trying to kiss him under the mistletoe was that someone might be watching.
** Jimmy was AmbiguouslyGay to begin with and appears to exhibit gay tendencies towards other guys, especially towards Kevin, but has a crush on Sarah.
** Ed seems to think GirlsHaveCooties ("Yucky, squishy, MUSHY GIRLS, Double D!") He doesn't have this problem with Nazz, since he seems to have a crush on her like Edd and Eddy. Also in some episodes ("Honor Thy Ed", "Key to My Ed") he doesn't mind the Kankers advances and seems less repulsed by them than Edd and Eddy. There's also the moments of ambiguous HoYay towards Edd and Eddy.
* ''WesternAnimation/TheFairlyOddParents'':
** As mentioned in the AmbiguouslyGay page, Juandissimo. His entire role revolves around him having an unrequited love for Wanda but ''The Exciting Middle Part'' has a scene where he and Cupid act like a couple on a date.
** Most male characters who aren't just AmbiguouslyGay give off this vibe from time to time. [[BumblingDad Timmy's Dad]], Creator/AdamWest, [[DumbBlonde Chester]], [[TheSmartGuy AJ]], [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} Cosmo]] and even Timmy himself all have conspicuous HoYay moments, despite also showing attraction to the ladies.
* ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy'':
** Peter is married to Lois is mostly shown to be heterosexual. In one episode where Peter starts spending time with Bill Clinton the two hit it off right away, but Peter spends so much time with him that it damages his relationship with Lois. By the end of the episode both of them have been physically seduced by Clinton, the last scene being a shot of Peter lying in bed next to Clinton, and Peter states: "Boy you are good. You are really good." In another episode, Peter and Quagmire are just about to have sex in order to convince a prostitute that Quagmire is gay. They stop at the last minute, and Quagmire admits he's not gay, but Peter adds "Well I'm something, because I've been at full sail this whole time."
** Lois is married to Peter occasionally hints at having had same-sex experiences in the past. One episode revealed that she had a girlfriend in college. When Peter ranted on TV about how AllWomenArePrudes and lead men on with no intention of ever sleeping with them, Lois (who was watching at home) responded, "He's right! Women are such teases! That's why I went back to men."
** Meg likes boys, but has also hinted being attracted to Connie. There was also the episode where she pretended to be a lesbian to join her school's Lesbian Alliance club and [[IJustWantToHaveFriends actually have friends for once]], but confessed she was straight once she couldn't go through with actually having sex with a girl. However, said girl proceeded to berate Meg for "choosing" to be straight. When Meg replied that sexual orientation was not a choice, the girl said that only applies to guys, while girls ''do'' get to choose. So it would seem that all girls and women in the ''Family Guy'' universe are technically bisexual no matter what they identify as... [[NegativeContinuity at least until the next episode when that joke has been forgotten about]].
** Stewie has had a lot of moments that were considered by many fans to be gay as he apparently showed attraction to several men, which is easily dismissed since he is just a one-year-old baby. However, he has fallen in love with girls, including Olivia.
** Surprisingly enough, Quagmire being a lady's man, has some HoYay moments with Peter. Like how when Peter was upset he asked Peter if he could "drag his ball sac across his face" (it's something he does to all his lady friends) and later willingly got naked in front of him and showed him his penis while also calling them "buddies" that should "have fun". Another scene in the episode "Mr and Mrs. Stewie" had them having to share a bed and Peter hugged Quagmire close from behind making it look like they were spooning and pulled Quagmire's boxers down with his foot because they were too starchy which Quagmire seemed to be fine with. He also seemed willing to lay naked with Peter and Lois when they got nude while doing drugs and said "Room for one more?" However, he did act disgusted when he and Peter kissed to try to prove to a prostitute that he was gay. And in another episode when Stewie places Quagmire, Joe, Brian, and Peter in an alternate reality where they were the only people left Quagmire says that at some point they would have to repopulate the planet. Brian pointed out that there were no woman and Quagmire said "Let's see what happens" leaving it ambiguous as to whether they should wait and see if any woman would show up or if they would try sex with each other.
** Jeff, a son of a nudist family, was definitely into Meg but also smiled happily when Peter got naked in front of him.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Futurama}}'':
** Bender has dated, flirted with, and even slept with several robot women in the series but his obsession with soap opera actor Calculon is filled to the brim with HoYay. His friendship with Fry is also a funny one as Bender often gets depressed and weepy when Fry does something that makes Bender feel that Fry is abandoning him.
** Doctor Zoidberg also shows a lot of this as he was a little disappointed after Leela failed to marry him to Fry in space and there was some HoYay that he exhibited towards Farnsworth and Hermes. However, he has flirted with Edna and an unnamed jellyfish-like alien and near the end of the series, he starts a romance with Marianne. To make it more confusing, Zoidberg has been shown to be unable to tell the difference between male and female humans.
** Amy Wong also qualifies as she is in a romance with Kif and flirts with a lot of guys but she kissed Leela in "Bender's Game" while they are in an alternate reality that resembles Lord Of The Rings.
** Leela has Fry as her canon love interest, having an on and off relationship with him and dated several men, yet she enjoyed making out with Amy in "Bender's Game" while in the alternate reality of Cornwood. Whether that extends beyond that dimension is debatable but has not been seen.
** Zapp Brannigan has flirted with and slept with Leela and Amy and enjoyed getting Snu-Snu from several Amazonian women, yet he apparently went on a date with Richard Nixon's Head in "The Thief Of Baghead". He seemed pretty comfortable with the idea of sleeping with [[SweetPollyOliver "Lee Lemon"]] before finding out "he" was really Leela in disguise. He is also not ashamed to show nudity in front of other men such as Kif. Zapp does not even cover himself in front of other men whenever he is naked and some of the orders he gives out to Kif have some HoYay in them.
** Fry has an on and off relationship with Leela, dated Michelle before being frozen, dated other girls including Colleen, and unknowingly slept with his own grandma in Roswell in 1947. However, Fry has shown affection and love towards an alien being named Yivo, who has masculine and feminine characteristics but sounds more like a guy. Fry has also got HoYay with Bender, Zoidberg, and Jrrr.
* ''WesternAnimation/GravityFalls'': Lil' Gideon has an obvious crush on Mabel Pines, with some of his evil schemes being attempts to winner over. However, his campy and flamboyant nature, combined with the fact that he displayed some HomoeroticSubtext towards some of the male prisoners during his time in jail, seems to give him some traits of a camp bi.
* ''WesternAnimation/HeyArnold'': Gerald definitely likes girls, especially Phoebe, but in ''Hey Arnold! The Movie'', he seems to be infatuated with the main antagonist Scheck, since a RunningGag has him constantly mentioning how good he looks in his suits.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Jem}}'':
** Kimber has multiple casual male love interests and almost marries one of them before copping out. She also had a very close friendship with Stormer that consisted of holding hand on the beach and generally acting like lovers.[[ComicBook/JemAndTheHolograms The comic reboot]] depicts her as being lesbian and has her as a couple with Stormer.
** When introduced, Eric mentions that [[TheVamp Minx]] can have "anyone she wants". He used a neutral term, implying that Minx has seduced women as well.
* ''WesternAnimation/JohnnyTest'':
** Gil occasionally has an attraction for girls but seems much more interested in Johnny.
** Dukey also comes off as this as he wore biker leather in his first appearance, cross dresses, and at one point, almost humped Johnny's leg. However, Dukey has shown attraction to females such as Missy and an alternate female version of himself.
** Federal agents, Mr. Black and Mr. White had a lot of blatant HoYay between them as they are implied to be living together and want to go on a vacation to Fiji together, which pretty much makes their status as HeterosexualLifePartners looks less heterosexual but Mr. Black did give Johnny tips on dating women and he and Mr. White were seen "chatting up" a couple girls in a dog park
** Johnny himself qualifies for this as he has some ShipTease with his rival, Sissy. However, he has cross dressed on occassion and he agreed to go on a date with Gil in one episode.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Kaeloo}}'':
** Stumpy has a girlfriend named [[TheGhost Ursula]], but at the end of the episode "Let's Play Hot-Cold" he seemed to have fallen in love with Quack Quack, and he has admitted to enjoy crossdressing.
** Mr. Cat as well, due to Kaeloo, his crush, having an AmbiguousGender.
* Shego and the title character of ''WesternAnimation/KimPossible'' show considerable amounts of LesYay toward each other, one episode has their 'friendship' overshadowing Kim and her own boyfriend's relationship (his reaction doesn't help), and they have had either male love interests or shown attraction to men.
* ''WesternAnimation/TheLegendOfKorra'':
** Once Korra broke up with Mako and they finally resolved the RomanticPlotTumor in Book 3, the two girls began spending more time with one another and started getting along arguably more so then either girl did with Mako. By Season 4 there are hints they could be attracted to each other, such as Asami being more enthusiastic about Korra's return then Mako was. WordOfGod [[http://bryankonietzko.tumblr.com/post/105916338157/ is that]] [[spoiler:this was completely intentional and a way to [[GettingCrapPastTheRadar get around Nickelodeon's S&P]], and that they are an OfficialCouple]], removing the ambiguity.
** Prince Wu in season four is a CasanovaWannabe who [[EpicFail majorly fails]] at hitting on both Korra and Asami, [[AbhorrentAdmirer much to their displeasure]], and says that he finds Kuvira pretty. He also seems to have [[BodyguardCrush feelings for Mako]]. He seems almost ''flirty'' when he thinks Mako comes from money (the Krew took him to Asami's place to hide out after a kidnapping attempt by Kuvira supporters), and he seems ''very'' eager to learn more about Mako's past in "[[Recap/TheLegendOfKorraS4E8Remembrances Remembrances]]".
* Lil' George from ''WesternAnimation/LilBush''. He has a huge crush on Lil' Laura, but he's also had two incredibly flirtatious friendships with Lil' Tony Blair and Lil' Zac Efron. And he has a man crush on Aquaman.
* ''Franchise/LiloAndStitch'':
** [[Disney/LiloAndStitch Jumba Jookiba]] did mention several times that he was married at one point but his ex-wife divorced him most likely due to his obsession with making experiments. His friendship with Pleakley however is [[HoYay very silly]].
** Pleakley comes off as AmbiguouslyGay in [[WesternAnimation/LiloAndStitchTheSeries the series]] and in the films as he had a lot of interests that are considered camp, rejected any girls that his parents tried to make him marry, and had a very funny friendship with Jumba. However, if [[Anime/{{Stitch}} the anime]] is to be considered canon, then Pleakley definitely qualifies for this as he had a crush on Tigerlily.
** Gantu also showed some traits of this as he and Reuben (Experiment 625) also have a silly friendship that revolves around them bickering and making funny comments about their looks. He fell in love with Pleakley and Stitch as well but this was due to being pecked by Hunkahunka (Experiment 323), which caused him to become gender blind. However, Gantu admitted that he had a middle school crush on a girl.
* Luna Loud from ''WesternAnimation/TheLoudHouse''. She's infatuated with her music idol Mick Swagger (along with Lincoln's tutor Hugh just like her sisters). However, she also finds Lincoln's substitute teacher Ms. di Martino to be rather attractive and also made a flirtatious pass at the woman through the drive-thru speaker. Less ambiguous in "L is for Love" when [[spoiler: her crush, Sam, turns out to be a girl.]]
* The mother[=/=]wife from the Creator/RalphBakshi short ''Malcom and Melvin''. When Malcom played his horn, she burst in and said "I'm in love with the ''person'' playing that music", implying that her reaction would've been the same if it was a woman playing the music and not a man (well, flea).
* ''WesternAnimation/PennZeroPartTimeHero:''
** Penn, who is [[DistractedByMyOwnSexy distracted]] by his male [[{{Shapeshifter}} forms]] just as often as his female ones. One episode features him dancing with both female and male partners and knowing how to perform both the lead and follow roles of the waltz.
** Rippen is smitten by [[AltoVillainess Starblaster]], spending the entirety of her debut episode worrying about their upcoming dance, but is content with dancing with Larry after [[spoiler:she reveals that she never had feelings for him.]]
* ''WesternAnimation/ReadyJetGo'': Jet's sexuality has yet to be confirmed, but Jet always shows signs of being attracted to both Sean (a male) and Sydney (a female).
* Ren Hoek as depicted in ''[[WesternAnimation/TheRenAndStimpyShow Ren and Stimpy: Adult Cartoon Party]]''. He clearly loves the ladies and will try to grab a woman's breast at any given opportunity, yet at the same time he appears in a relationship with Stimpy, with whom he already shared an AmbiguouslyGay relationship with in the original. He denies that he loves Stimpy and insists that they're friends.
* ''WesternAnimation/RickAndMorty'': Jerry is unambiguously in love with his wife, the somewhat shaky status of their marriage notwithstanding, but in "Total Rickall" he is given a male love interest, [[spoiler:who turns out to be a parasite who creates positive memories in people's minds in order to convince them of the parasite's status as a real human.]] It is yet to be seen if his attraction to men [[spoiler:extends beyond a falsified experience with a man who didn't actually exist.]]
** Rick Sanchez is also considered this as he was married to a woman at one point, resulting in the birth of his daughter Beth but at some point he either lost his wife through a divorce or death. He later shows feelings towards an alien named Unity, who could take forms that are both male and female.
*** WordOfGod has all but confirmed that Rick is pansexual.
* ''WesternAnimation/TheRidonculousRace'': Surfer dudes Geoff and Brody showed some HoYay towards each other in the race, especially during the Hawaii leg when Brody mentions that he souls marry Geoff. However, Geoff states that Bridgette is his girlfriend and initially planned on taking her with him to the race and Brody develops a crush on [=MacArthur=].
** [=MacArthur=] on the other hand also has some shades of this as she looks like a lesbian cop, acted butch, and there was some LesYay she exhibited towards her partner, Sanders, yet she reciprocates Brody's feelings for her in the finale.
* ''WesternAnimation/ScoobyDooMysteryIncorporated''i: Velma is in a relationship with Shaggy in the beginning of the series, but looks at [[MsFanservice Daphne]] in a bikini with approval and has a RomanticTwoGirlFriendship with [[spoiler:Hot Dog Water]] in Season 2.
* ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons'':
** Homer is HappilyMarried (most of the time) to Marge, but he's hugged and kissed Ned and filmed him naked in the shower, on several occasions commented how attractive another man was, and is the {{Trope Namer|s}} for StupidSexyFlanders. He's been kissed by another man on two separate occasions, and while clearly surprised didn't react negatively either. In one episode Homer and Chief Wiggum develop a friendship that verges on HoYay at times and in the episode "Donnie Fatso", Homer teams up with the FBI to infiltrate the mob, and becomes incredibly close to Fat Tony. True, the constant touching, hugging, and kisses on the cheek could be HandWaved by Tony being an Italian gentleman, but when Tony dies of a heart attack during a sting, Homer mourns like he just lost the love of his life. He also flirts hopelessly with a "sensitive but rugged" manatee lover, completely failing to understand why Marge isn't in love with him.
** In "Lisa the Drama Queen", Lisa had a RomanticTwoGirlFriendship with a girl named Juliet--no surprise, since this story is a parody of the movie ''Heavenly Creatures''. And according to "Holidays of Future Passed" (which probably isn't canon) Lisa had at least three girlfriends--two at the same time--in college before marrying Milhouse.
** Bart has had crushes on many girls, but has also admitted to being "a little attracted to Milhouse" (this may have been to annoy Homer, but the trope ''is'' called ''Ambiguously'' Bi), got very jealous when Milhouse got a girlfriend, was willing to pose as Ralph Wiggum's date to attend the Krusty Anniversary Special ("You don't want to know how far I'll go!"), and one episode, in which he temporarily becomes best friends with Nelson, ends with a ''Film/BrokebackMountain'' parody.
** Milhouse seems to have crushes on both of the elder Simpson kids--his crush on Lisa is well established, of course, but he has also intoxicatedly said about Bart that "this guy here...this is the guy", was very jealous when Bart spent much time with Nelson and once jumped over a waterfall while exclaiming "I can't live in a world without Bart!". His file in the school psychiatrist's office says that he has "flamboyantly homosexual tendencies". In one episode Bart swaps lives with his rich look-alike and during dinner, Milhouse notices Barts' beautiful "half-siblings". He says they're beautiful, but then says just the girl, he didn't notice the beautiful boy. He says with a dreamy look on his face.
** Abe enjoys dreaming of being the Queen of the Old West (and marrying two gunslingers at the same time), and when he transforms into a woman after being off his meds, he is pretty excited about Jasper's interest in him. Plus he's president of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance for some reason.
** Ralph Wiggum once referred to Bart as his boyfriend, and upon seeing Bart naked in the movie said "I like men now!". Another time he hugs Comic Book Guy and says he will never let go. He also has interest in Lisa.
** Chief Clancy Wiggum is clearly married to a woman and that Ralph is his son, but he has some questionable subtext with his partner, Lou. He also seemed to be attracted to Peter and Homer during their carwash sting operation in the crossover.
** Let's not forget Lenny and Carl, who have shown to have gay subtext between them, yet have also shown attraction to various women.
** Mob boss Fat Tony had a wife (now deceased), but also expressed interest in Homer during the latter's time as TheMole for the police. He described as "heterosexual male friendship like the Greeks wrote about," which is an extremely ambiguous line.
* ''WesternAnimation/SouthPark''.
** Cartman. He's obsessed with Kyle, asked Clyde in french if he wanted to sleep with him, gets HoYay with Butters, [[GirlsHaveCooties hates girls]], and has made out with a cutout of Justin Timberlake while dressed as Britney Spears. Despite this he has had a crush on Wendy, had an attraction to a female substitute teacher once, and confessed he likes a girl named Patty Nelson.
** Stan Marsh also fits this because he had a crush on Wendy but also had HoYay with Kyle.
** Kyle also fits this due to the reason mentioned above with Stan Marsh. However, Kyle has dated Token's girlfriend.
** Randy Marsh, who is Stan's dad is married to Sharon, yet he was seen naked in the "Goobacks episode" during the male orgy scene occurring between a group of men who disliked the people from the future
** Jimbo Kern is living in a single house with his friend, Ned and Jimbo even said the word "fag" without getting bleeped, which if Mr. Garrison is to be believed means that Jimbo is one. Yet Jimbo was revealed to have been one of the people who slept with Liane Carman on the same night of Eric Carman's conception. Jimbo was also one of the men who along with Ned, peeped on Mrs. Tenorman taking off her bra and refused to participate in a gay orgy that was used to protest the future people.
** Ned Gerblansky also fits due to his funny relationship with Jimbo Kern and the fact that he lives with him. However, he was one of them revealed to have slept with Liane Cartman, participated with Jimbo in peeping on Mrs. Tenorman while she took off her bra, and he revealed in "Summer Sucks" that he had an ex wife.
** Mr. Garrison is shown to be a CampGay teacher who first had Mr. Slave as his boyfriend before Mr. Slave left Garrison after Garrison got a sex change. However, Mr. Garrison also slept with two lesbians, who were Alice and Xerxes, while still considering himself gay due to the sex change. Then he went back to being a guy again before he rapes the Canadian president to death out of spite. As of now, Mr. Garrison's sexual orientation is unknown after he reverts back to being a male.
** Butters also fits as his friendship with Cartman is littered with a lot of HoYay and FoeYay and Butters is the most effeminate of all the boys. However, Butters has fallen in love with more girls than all of the four main characters combined.
** Craig Tucker has been confirmed to be dating Tweek according to WordOfGod, yet he dates an unknown girl in "The Stick Of Truth" video game, which makes it unknown on whether he is a closeted homosexual or a bisexual.
* The title character of ''WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants'' is said to be asexual by the creator, but he still is implied to have a crush on both Sandy and Squidward.
* The titular character Star Butterfly from ''WesternAnimation/StarVsTheForcesOfEvil''. In addition to [[AllGirlsWantBadBoys apparently having a thing for "bad boys"]] (given her crush on Earth, Oscar, who "has a record", and her ex Tom, an actual ''demon''), she blushed furiously when the cheerleaders were demonstrating their plan to use their "booty-shaking dance moves" to distract the rival football team, and when [[{{Fangirl}} StarFan13]] shows her that her locker is wallpapered with pictures of Star, the inter-dimensional princess reveals that ''her'' locker is covered with pictures of [=StarFan13=]. Then in another episode, [=StarFan13=] admits to having a crush on her, to which Star has no problem with.
** Not to mention that she's been associated with the Bi Pride colors three separate times (her punk outfit, the background colors to her Warnicorn Stampede, and in a piece of official art by a crew member), and her VERY affectionate interactions with Jackie and Janna.
** WordOfGod said that Rhombulus was in a gay relationship with Lekmet, but in one episode he confesses to having a crush on Queen Moon.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Superjail}}'':
** The Warden is attracted mainly to women (unrequited love for Alice, for example), but is also shown to be obsessed with Lord Stingray and Jared. (Although he was rather {{Squick}}ed out by the latter's dream where they were making out.) And both obsessions come off as rather creepy, [[StalkerWithACrush especially with the former]].
** [[{{Transgender}} Alice]], on the other hand, is usually shown as being attracted to men but [[spoiler:wound up sleeping with the Mistress]] at the end of "Stingstress". She quips afterwards that she had "forgotten how needy women can be". This would also make [[spoiler:the Mistress]], who's normally attracted to men, also Ambiguously Bi.
** While Jared is obviously attracted to women (including his own DistaffCounterpart Cherice), there was one episode back in the first season where he had a dream that he and Warden had switched places. And they proceeded to make out.
* ''WesternAnimation/SuperNoobs'':
** Kevin Reynolds is shown to be this as he runs away from the advances of a female student named Jesse as she has a one sided crush on him and he had an apparent fanboy crush on The Incredibly Amazing Man, going as far as making a marriage like proposal for him to allow Kevin to be his sidekick. However, Kevin is implied in "Noob Colored Glasses" to have a crush on Shope.
* ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitans''
** Starfire notably has interest in Robin but also can get quite affectionate around Raven and Terra (expressed primarily through [[TheGlomp glomping]]).
** Raven is implied but never confirmed to have feelings for Beast Boy (though WordOfGod says [[RelationshipWritingFumble it's unintentional]]) and gets ship tease moments with Robin but also has ship tease moments with Terra and Starfire. However, the extreme emotional reactions she has towards Terra (when she betrayed her and her team) and Starfire (whenever she's hurt or has vanished) could also be because she's a emotionally repressed half demon who is very close to her friends and treats them like family.
* ''WesternAnimation/TinyToonAdventures'': Elmyra and Rhoda. Elmyra has a cute crush on Max and one short called "Can't Buy Me Love" has Elmyra meet an evil little girl called Rhoda. Elmyra sees hearts and positively MELTS when Rhoda says she'll let her be her best friend, and spends the rest of the picture bending over backwards to make Rhoda like her. It plays VERY much like any episode where Elmyra chases Max, only way more seriously, and heck, Elmyra even lets Rhoda HAVE Max (who doesn't want him after mere moments). And after she learns her lesson about not needing to give someone something so they'll like you, Rhoda comes by her window and says she'll be her friend again if Elmyra steals her mom's car keys and drives her to Utah. Instantly Elmyra says "okay" and rushes off eagerly to Rhoda's side. So not only is Elmyra completely infatuated with Rhoda, but apparently Rhoda can't leave Elmyra alone for five minutes, even after Elmyra dumped her. Elmyra also had a thing for chasing Fifi around, a voluptuous female skunk which persisted even after Fifi skunked her and had Elmyra go as far as to pose as Fifi's crush Pepe le Pew. The main thing keeping it ambiguous is the fact that Elmyra is very young and is implied to be [[DesperatelyCravesAffection desperately craving affection]].
* ''WesternAnimation/TotalDrama'':
** In season one, {{deadpan snarker}} Noah displays campy mannerisms but is unaffected by Justin, [[IHaveBoobsYouMustObey who's so attractive he can hypnotize both men and women]]. In season three, his mannerisms are severely toned down but it's implied that he finds both [[GranolaGirl Bridgette]] and [[DashingHispanic Alejandro]] attractive, and in ''WesternAnimation/TotalDramaPresentsTheRidonculousRace'' (a spin-off) he gets a crush on [[{{Tsundere}} Emma]], who's described as the first person he's ever genuinely fallen for.
** Owen is attracted to Izzy (who he later dates) but also obviously has a crush on Justin, often mentioning how attractive he is and even expressing a desire to kiss him at one point.
** Katie and Sadie had a lot of LesYay between them as they cannot [[RomanticTwoGirlFriendship bear to be separated from each other forcefully and they frequently comment on each others looks a lot]]. However, both of them have crushes on multiple boys including Justin and Trent.
** Alejandro showed a lot of HoYay towards Noah as he blatantly flirted with him in the Japan and Newfoundland episodes. However, Alejandro also flirted with several girls before starting a romance with Heather.
** Gwen has dated and made out with Trent and Duncan during her time on the show. However in the fifth season, she was more interested in getting Courtney's forgiveness for taking her boyfriend, Duncan away from her and she does eventually get her forgiveness. There was also tons of LesYay between Gwen and Courtney in "World Tour" and "All Stars".
** Courtney had a romance with Duncan in the first three seasons before flirting with Alejandro and them starting a brief romance with Scott. However, she had tons of LesYay with Gwen in "World Tour" and "All Stars" and even went as far as complementing Gwen's hair in one episode.
* ''WesternAnimation/TotallySpies'':
** Clover is the established boy crazy girly girl of the group who also gets occasional LesYay with her fellow spies.
** Alex is just as boy crazy as Clover, refers to a female model as "super-hot", and gets a lot of LesYay with Brittney and the other spies.
** Brittney shows attraction to boys but also has a relationship with Alex that entails a lot of NoSenseOfPersonalSpace and ''petting'' Alex who morphed into a kitten while she petted her.
* ''WesternAnimation/UglyAmericans'': Twayne Boneraper, a demon who is Mark Lilly's boss, has shown several campy stereotypes and seemed to show attraction towards a sentient painting of a guy. However, Twayne had an obvious crush on Callie, almost married her sister Lilith, and dated a woman who acted like a Christian but was actually a stripper who stole things from him.
* ''WesternAnimation/YoungJustice'':
** Queen Bee, according to Batman, can control "most men and some women", and gets curiously intimate with both Garfield and Megan within minutes.
** Garfield Logan (aka Beast Boy)'s mother Marie Logan, though it's only by reading between the lines that it becomes obvious. Between the first and second season she was killed by Queen Bee, who as stated above uses her powers to control people who are attracted to women, so whatever Marie was she wasn't 100% straight. Creator/GregWeisman [[WordOfGod responded]] when asked if Marie was a lesbian or bisexual with "[[MathematiciansAnswer Yes]]" when asked.
* Jack Spicer from ''WesternAnimation/XiaolinShowdown'' flirts with girls throughout the series (Kimiko, Jessie, Katnappe etc) while developing a fanboy crush on Chase Young (complete with adoring gazes through heart-shaped eyes, repeated attempts to hug and paw at him, and whiny jealous sulks whenever Chase rejects him). He also created an army of cheerleaders robots and enjoyed kissing one. Oh, and in the evil future where he takes over? He apparently has Chase Young constantly being tied up in nothing but his underwear, with butter being slathered on his abdomen, while Wuya is suspended from a wall in a cheerleader outfit.
