An All-CGI Cartoon is ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin -- an animated TV show or movie which is generated entirely on a computer, and has no frames drawn on physical media at all. This includes [[AdobeFlash Flash]]- and ToonBoom-based series (which are technically 2-D, just, well... made entirely on a computer), as well as higher-quality digital ink and paint-based films and TV shows. Since the economic downturn of the late 2000s, this has become the rule rather than the exception.

Interestingly enough, most CGI animation tends to be Western. While there are definitely examples of Japanese and Asian forms of CGI, almost all of the major studios, franchises, and series done in computer animation are from the US, Europe, or Canada. [[DoingItForTheArt In the Asian case, this is mostly because animation is normally considered an art and not always a cheap form of entertainment there]].
