* The titular character from BillyHatcherAndTheGiantEgg has some qualities of this, fitting his role as savior of Morning Land.
* In VideoGame/DissidiaFinalFantasy, Tidus (VideoGame/FinalFantasyX) feels like this. But it's a different play on this trope -- he is not overly upbeat, but when you put him with the rest of the game's cast, he is a damn good machine of mood-lightening...unless you bring up his Father, in which case he becomes a Ball of Angry Angst. Zidane (VideoGame/FinalFantasyIX) counts as well, though he can occasionally get serious, and Bartz (VideoGame/FinalFantasyV) rounds out the trifecta of cheerful FF heroes in the 13th Cycle. And let's not forget Vaan (VideoGame/FinalFantasyXII), who would have been a fourth.
** In the sequel (which does include Vaan), he ends up being pretty laid back about things, along with Laguna. When he's in battle, however, he's extremely loud, self-confident, and boisterous.
* Parry Gotha in VideoGame/DragonQuestV, mostly as the effect of the party talk system. He even think of his uber legendary sword as a toy.
* YesMan of VideoGame/FalloutNewVegas.
* Zack Fair, the thoroughly Adorkable protagonist in the VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII prequel VideoGame/CrisisCore, is enthusiastic, bouncy, and friendly to the point that people start sticking him with the nickname "puppy".
* Snow Villiers from VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII is not a little boy at all -- in fact, he's a positively huge rough-and-tumble looking guy -- but he's got the personality pretty much down pat.
* Kieran and Tormod of FireEmblem qualify.
** In fact, Kieran is so crazy, he'd qualify for Genki GUY.
** Awakenings Henry is a rather twisted example, as while he is unendingly upbeat and never seen without a smile on his face, he also happens to be a dark mage who has a thing for blood and murder.
* InazumaEleven, Endou Mamoru is probably the happiest of the major heroes in the Raimon Academy and Inazuma Japan National. His happy trait and HeroicSpirit are what drive the team to victory. Moreover, he almost never angst after the first game.
* VideoGame/KidIcarus: Surprisingly, Pit, to the point that even when the game gets dark and serious, he's incredibly difficult to take seriously.
* Sora, of the KingdomHearts series can be relentlessly cheerful. He pretty much has to be to be able to keep up with a pair of classic Toons as his sidekicks.
** Ventus is just as adorable and cheerful as Sora, but in less of a "hyperactive puppy" kind of way and more of a down-to-earth, gently smiling fashion.
* CloudCuckooLander Ellis from VideoGame/Left4Dead2 is a Keet, though a toned-down, Southern version.
** Arguably Louis from the original VideoGame/Left4Dead is another, perpetually optimistic flavor of keet, always hopeful, trying to keep the team's spirits up and looking at the bright side of things in the middle of a ZombieApocalypse.
* Conrad Verner from Franchise/MassEffect, a hyperactive, hyperenthusiastic Fanboy who keeps trying to impress Shepard. If you're not careful in dealing with him,
* Claus from VideoGame/Mother 3.
* Teddie from VideoGame/Persona 4. Tiny, loud, hyper, cheerful and the instigator of most of the homosexual things in the game.
* More so then his anime counterpart, Barry/Pearl/Damion from Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.
* Griff Simmons from the SSX Series fits well into this.
* SonicTheHedgehog: Charmy Bee fits perfectly into this trope, as he is often energetic, playful, and very scatterbrained. Of course, his constant buzzing can be annoying sometimes.
* SuperMarioBros: Mario definitely fits as one of these, with his cheerful [=YAHOOs=] and [=WAHAHAHAs=].
* Mao from VideoGame/Tales of Rebirth is an AdorablyPrecociousChild who seems to be always ready to lighten up the mood.
* Fast talkin', skull bashin', cola swillin' Scout, from VideoGame/TeamFortress2. Short, shrill, and hyper to the point of infuriating? You betta believe it pal! Obviously, he is also far more violent than most Keets -- a trait that gets lost when he's subjected to Wimpification, as he frequently is.
* In most of his incarnations, Link is a rather serious young person. By contrast, VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTheWindWaker's Link is cheerful, upbeat, and downright silly at times. He can still go toe to toe with the baddest of the bad, but he was also once turned into a human pancake.
* Cadet Ellis (no relation to the Ellis above) from Vindictus.
