How happy he is to finally have someone who accepts him really is heart-warming, if not somewhat heartbreaking as well as it's mostly faked friendship.

By the end of the episode, they all actually show up first thing in the morning apologizing to Fergy for their comments, indicating it was all in good fun, but are genuinely sorry if they hurt him and make it clear they do appreciate him.
* "My Sweet Swanana"
** Rory managing to win over a Swanana named Svetlana, simply by dropping all fake fancy talk and began showing his true self. They soon got married and had a baby together.
*** What makes them having a child together so special is that, in the game, Pixies are notoriously hated by their parents, including at birth too. Here, there is none of that, the one photo shown is Rory and Svetlana happily cradling their child.
