* Tiny one from Ector as an EstablishingCharacterMoment; he's ''furious'' with Kay for letting Wart wander off in the woods. When Wart returns with Merlin in tow, Ector clearly has AngerBornOfWorry. He does care, even if he hides it.
* The girl squirrel [[ThePowerOfLove rushing to save Arthur from the broken branch and the wolf.]]
** In fact, the entire scene with Arthur and the girl squirrel, [[MoodWhiplash until]] [[TearJerker the end]].
* The moment where Archimedes treats Wart as a proper student and not like a thorn in his side. He finds out that the boy can't read or write. Archimedes, with a look of IToldYouSo towards Merlin about trying to teach Arthur complex facts, starts with the alphabet. Wart looks very happy as he starts copying Archimedes's handwriting. Later, when Merlin turns Wart into a little bird, Archimedes says that he can take over the lesson from here, and gives Wart basic flying instructions. Soon Archimedes is whooping in joy and praising how well Wart is gliding on the current and tries to protect him from a hawk. When Madam Mim catches Arthur in her house, Archimedes flies to get help from Merlin - it shows arguably, Archimedes would've been a far better teacher for Wart than Merlin.
-->'''Archimedes:''' Well I say, boy! That's pretty good! Why, boy, you're a natural!
* Despite his [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold cranky and sarcastic demeanor]], Archimedes does have several small moments where he shows that he cares for Wart and Merlin. Such as when he saves Wart from the pike, gives advice to Merlin during the wizard's duel with Mim and congrats Wart when he becomes Kay's squire, and at the end, he rejoices when Wart is declared king.
* The moment when Wart/Arthur pulled the sword from the stone in front of everybody.
** Just the look of wonder and amazement on the people's faces were just... [[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments it was a good kind of tearjerker]].
** Most of all when Sir Ector begs for Arthur's forgiveness and demands that Kay bow to his new king.
** The look on Kay's face after he bows. It's a cross between HeelRealization and SuddenHumility.
** Poor Arthur throughout the whole thing keeps ''begging'' Sir Ector and Kay ''not'' to prostrate themselves before him in that adorable squeaky voice of his.
---> '''Ector:''' Oh, forgive me, son. Forgive me.
---> '''Arthur:''' Oh, please don't sir.
---> '''Ector:''' Kay, bow to your king!
---> '''Kay:''' ''(bows with a look of jealousy, but then shifts to one of regret and humility)''
** When Black Bart asks the boy’s name, Sir Ector initially replies “Wart” before catching himself and says “Arthur”, showing that he wasn't so neglectful enough to forget his foster son's actual name.
---> '''Narrator''': ''So, at last the miracle had come to pass, in that far-off time upon New Year's Day, and the glorious reign of King Arthur was begun.''
* There's one just before. When Ector, Kay and most of the lords start arguing with each other to try to pull the sword from the stone, Sir Pellinore and Black Bart come to Arthur's defense, claiming that the boy deserves to try first, since he was the one who told them about the sword. Despite the age of lawlessness plaguing England at the time, it's an uplifting reminder that there were still knights around that exemplified chivalry and fairness.
-->'''Black Bart:''' Now hold on. That's not fair!\\
'''Pellinore:''' I say we let the boy try it.\\
'''Black Bart:''' That's what I say. Give the boy a chance!\\
'''Pellinore:''' ''[to Arthur]'' Go ahead, son.
** Even more so on Bart's behalf: had Arthur not forgotten Kay's sword at the inn, he was to be Kay's opponent in the tournament. Bart had a legitimate shot at winning the tournament and becoming King himself, but he gives it up and supports this squire boy instead.
* Unlike anyone else who tried to pull the sword out of the stone, Arthur had no intention of trying it to be king: he tried because he was being a good squire and trying to get a replacement sword for his adoptive brother. Even when Archimedes, seeing the glow effect of Wart touching the sword suggests he leave it alone, Arthur yells that Kay has GOT to have a sword, pulling it free.
* As Arthur is left exacerbated by his new title, Merlin returns from his TenMinuteRetirement quite happy with the turn of events, returning to his mentor role and giving Wart encouraging words about his future as king.
-->'''Arthur:''' I'm in an awful pickle; I'm king! \\
'''Archimedes:''' Ooh, he pulled the sword from the stone! \\
'''Merlin:''' (''overjoyed'') Ha-ha! Of course, of course! King Arthur and his Knights of the Roundtable! \\
'''Arthur:''' Roundtable? \\
'''Merlin:''' Oh er... would you rather have a square one? \\
'''Arthur:''' Oh no! Round would be fine! \\
'''Merlin:''' (''chuckles with joy'') Boy, boy, boy! You'll become a great legend. They'll be writing books about you for centuries to come. Why they'll even make a motion picture about you. \\
'''Arthur:''' Motion picture? \\
'''Merlin:''' (''chuckles'') Well that's something like television. Heh-heh! Without commercials.
** Even further than that, the instant Arthur calls his name after every exit is denied to him from the castle, Merlin returns from his vacation to the future. Despite his argument with Arthur over his squiring for Kay, he didn't turn his back and he seems to put it in the past (if this wasn't [[TheChessmaster Merlin's plan from the beginning]]).
* The ending which pretty much solidifies Arthur's status as the Once And Future King of England in the hearts and minds of the world. [[RightfulKingReturns And he always will be.]]
--> '''Chorus''': ''Hail King Arthur, Long Live the King!''
