* Teeny and especially Chrissy make a SugarWiki/{{Heartwarming Moment|s}} in the attic after Roberta has a breakdown about her mother and the truth about Johnny, and Sam tells the others about her parents' divorce:
-->'''Teeny:''' Screw 'em. [[YouAreNotAlone You guys have us]].
-->'''Chrissy:''' I say we make a pact here and now. We're here for each other, always. No matter what happens in life. If Teeny goes off to Hollywood or I marry a rich doctor... we remember this day and this pact. [[AFriendInNeed When we need a friend we're there for each other.]] [[ThePowerOfFriendShip We can count on it. No matter what.]]
* Sam's scene with Pete in the graveyard, especially "But you were there for me."
* Roberta [[spoiler: delivering Chrissy's baby]] and sharing a warm look between them.
* "Roberta, you're my best friend."
* Teeny mentioning that she had been sending [[spoiler: Crazy Pete]] a Christmas card with some money in it every year.
* Sam snuggling under the blankets with her little sister as their parents heatedly argue downstairs.
* Easy to not notice, but Sam's grandmother, despite treating her daughter-in-law pretty rudely, truly cares about Sam.
* Chrissy's husband is revealed to be [[spoiler: Morton Williams. "Hello, Dear."]]
* Perhaps YMMV but Chrissy seems to be the happiest of all the girls as an adult. As a kid, the others teased her for being so conservative and ladylike, and the movie sort of treats her like the {{Buttmonkey}}, but look at her--she grew up in a happy family, married her childhood sweetheart, kept her mother's home in her safe little hometown, and now has a baby daughter to love. She doesn't have Sam's angst that has torn her apart for years, or Teeny's relationship issues, or was lied to by a parent about her other parent's death like Roberta. She seems very content and fulfilled with her "simple" life as a married homemaker, and that's wonderful.
* Teeny comforting Sam when she breaks down over the fact that her parents are getting a divorce, even making Sam a friendship bracelet out of her own necklace.
** And for that matter, Chrissy being the first to comfort Roberta after the latter's aforementioned breakdown above; especially considering Chrissy was the most upset and angry towards Roberta when she faked her death earlier in the movie.
