* The flashbacks to Aya's time with her family.
* All about the protection charm. ''"May you be smiled upon"''.
** First seen when Monika tells Aya about the story of the charm and gives her a kiss on the forehead, wishing for her daughter to be happy forever.
** The Nintendo 2020 Remake shows that Monika asked Robin to protect Aya and gave him the forehead kiss in order to encourage him.
** In the True Ending, Robin does the same for Aya, bringing the story full circle.
* Maria being taken in by the doctor. She was originally homeless and starving until the doctor took her in. True, she was going to be a test subject, but he decided to use her services.
** The Nintendo 2020 Remake shows that Alfred genuinely cared about Maria, even asking her to protect Aya in case anything bad happened to him.
-->''"Hahaha....You've grown strong. That's why you're my assistant."''
* In a weird, twisted, [[TearJerker Tear Jerker-ish]] way, Alfred himself is this. It's mentioned in one entry of his diary that he "found a dead cat in [Aya's] drawer. Hiding it in a dresser... Exactly as [he] used to." When put in this context, he was afraid that Aya would turn out like him when he was young. His resolve is to turn his precious daughter into a doll so she isn't "dirtied" and doesn't make the same mistakes as he did. He really ''did'' mean it when he said, "I love you."
* Aya's relationship with Maria. While Aya is hostile towards her at first for being her father's lover, after reading her diary and understanding how lonely she was until Alfred saved her, she becomes more sympathetic towards her.
** The If Ending. As Robin and Maria put her back in her room to let her rest after the doctor has died, Aya begins calling for Maria in her sleep, saying that she wants to live together with her.
** This official tweet of [[https://twitter.com/sen_old/status/1351527837853904903/photo/2 teenager Aya braiding her hair and commenting it matches Maria's braids]].
** In the Blood Route the two have becoming like sisters, with Maria being fiercely protective of her and Aya deciding that she can't reunite with her parents in death yet.....because Maria will be all alone. Aww.
* A small one, but in the If Ending, the little doll encouraging Robin to go after Aya and warning him that she might not be so different from her father. What makes this heartwarming? That's the doll Aya had in her room. It's also implied she was one of the Doctor's victims, but choose not to get revenge due to her love for Aya.
* Two words: Adult Aya in the Nintendo 2020 Remake. Thanks to her experiences in the mansion, she's grown into a mature and strong woman. She's also gotten rid of the lack of empathy she had as a child, acting sympathetic towards the monsters and speaking of Robin fondly. She's also very protective towards Maria, with the two having grown close and fond of each other over the years.
* At the end of the Blood Mode, Adult Aya encounters her father once again, who tries to kill her. She resigns herself to her fate, wishing to be reunited with her parents in the afterlife. She then hears Maria's voice calling her. This gives the resolve to continue living, realizing that Maria still needs her. Alfred smiles sadly and wishes her happiness.
* The reveal that Monika brought Robin back to life.
