* Despite how cheesy it is, Mario, Luigi, and the Princess' congratulating the player is this. Not only does it make the player feel rewarded, but it also ties into the canon games' traditions of thanking the player for completing their games, a little detail that pays homage to the property it's using.
* Seeing both Mario and Luigi win a smooch from the Princess and walk amicably into the sunset hand-in-hand is pretty sweet considering how Mario games usually have it be one or the other to get Peach's affections in the end if Luigi gets any at all.
