* Louise returning to Rose at the end and wrapping her mink stole around her. Not exactly a happy ending, but certainly a hopeful one.
--> '''Louise:''' You really would have been something, Mother.\\
'''Rose:''' Think so?\\
'''Louise:''' If you had someone to push you like I had...\\
'''Rose:''' If I could've been, I would've been. That's show business.
* The strippers showing off their gimmicks. In any good production, they're to be credited for how well Louise takes to her eventual profession.
** There's something to be said for the fact that the other strippers genuinely think Louise could be good at burlesque. She's spent her entire life with her mother making her feel inferior to her sister's talents, but now she has a group of women ''encouraging'' her to develop her performing skills.
* "If Mama Was Married" is about the only time June and Louise have a moment onstage together without Rose breathing down their necks--and it's incredibly sweet. Instead of being [[TheGloriousWarOfSisterlyRivalry rivals]], they genuinely love and care about each other, with Louise fantasizing about getting to live in a proper home and June wishing that she could be free of performing. They support one another's dreams and make lighthearted jokes throughout the song, and most productions will have them laughing and smiling as they sing and dance.
