* While Johnson is no stranger to being awesome or hilarious (or hilariously awesome), [[https://youtu.be/OgJSvWTionE?t=7m54s his 2011]] return to the WWE included a few minutes where he broke Kayfabe in order to tug on the heartstrings of everyone watching.
--> '''The Rock:''' I need to take this moment, and I need to tell you something ''[removes sunglasses]'' as Dwayne.
--> '''Dwayne:''' It's been a long time since I've been back. Seven years to be exact; but I want to take this moment, in the middle of this ring, to tell you why I'm back. It's not because of the money. It's not to promote a movie. I am back in the middle of this ring because of ''you''.
--> '''Dwayne:''' When I left - when I left the WWE seven years ago I dreamed big, and you guys dreamed big with me. You helped me accomplish my goals - accomplish my dreams - because you ''never. left. my side''; and I wanna take this moment to tell you all here - you're live here - millions watching around the world. I wanna tell you thank you. I love you, and it is because of you that I am back in this ring, and it is because of you - and I give you my word - I am never ever going away.
--> ''[puts sunglasses back on]''\\
'''The Rock:''' Simply put, ladies and gentlemen, ''[[HesBack The Rock is back!]]''
** Before all that was another touching moment:
---> "Finally, The Rock HAS COME BACK...home."
* His Team Bring It! Speech. He calls out to his fans, the shyer, younger ones in particular, to [[TookALevelInBadass take a level in badass:]]
-->'''The Rock:''' Ah, Chicago! The Rock participated in his first Wrestling/WrestleMania here in this very building! You know, The Rock never told anyone about this, but the Rock, was nervous. But something happened that night- The Rock decided to Bring It! And that night, was the unofficial birth, of Team Bring It! Team Bring It isn't just some slogan, it's a way of life! The Rock brings it, The Rock's fans bring it! When you're on Team Bring It, you knock down doors! YOU KICK DOWN WALLS! [[{{Jerkass}} And ANYBODY, who tells you can't...]] [[TookALevelInBadass you take your fears, your insecurities, your worries, roll 'em all up into a ball]], [[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments TURN THOSE SONS OF BITCHES SIDEWAYS]], '''AND STICK 'EM STRAIGHT UP THEIR CANDY ASSES!'''
-->'''Crowd:''' ''[[[{{Squee}} goes freaking berserk]]]''
* On May 2nd, 2011, The Rock celebrated his birthday on Raw. It was the usual fun night with The Rock as your host. Nothing unusual happened; the usual owning of Wrestling/MichaelCole, a brief face-off with Wrestling/JohnCena, and The Rock getting frisky with the Divas. Then, at the end of the show as The Rock was thanking all of the fans for participating (by now they all had birthday hats on), Wrestling/VinceMcMahon shows up, surprising pretty much everyone. He offered The Rock [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGz2b4hn4rk this]] as a gift. It's pretty much a CMOH for both guys.
-->'''Vince:''' ... but most importantly, Rock, I'd like to thank you for being The Rock. So on behalf of the WWE organization, we've put together a little birthday present for you. And I'll lead to it by simply saying, of all the thank yous, a heartfelt, Rock, thank you for... [[TearJerker for coming home]].
** If the video doesn't do it for you, Ata Johnson, The Rock's mother, tearing up and clapping vigorously for her son should.
* Anytime he shows the goosebumps on his [[{{Pun}} rock-hard]] forearms.
* When he won the WWE Championship from Punk at Royal Rumble 2013. The emotion radiating from him in those minutes where he held the championship. Don't ever try to convince anyone who saw that that he doesn't care just because he's part-time.
* When Wrestling/MickFoley was announced as an entrant into the Hall of Fame Class of 2013 Rock was right behind him to congratulate him. Watching the two talk and all of the in-jokes they shared with the crowd while they are at it is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqYqhHsITrM worth the watch]].
** Honestly, the team of The Rock and Mankind (The Rock 'n Sock Connection) could count as this. The former was a hip, electrifying, good looking young man with a bit of a bullying streak. The latter was an overweight, scraggly dork who took every opportunity to look "uncool" as possible (to the point of using a dirty sock as a puppet named Socko, hence the "Sock" part of the team name). Nevertheless, they had amazing chemistry together and complimented each other nicely in a match. It was like the high school's popular jock hanging out with the good-natured geek. Even after splitting, they remained good friends in kayfabe and in real life.
* His version of "This is Your Life" for Wrestling/MickFoley. Crosses with SugarWiki/FunnyMoments of course though unlike Mick’s, The Rock actually gets people Mick would enjoy seeing again. His first guest was the woman whose house Mick would leap off during his teen years and his second guest was the man who inspired Mick to be a wrestler, Wrestling/JimmySnuka.
* At the end of his match at Wrestlemania 29, hugging his mother, daughter, girlfriend, ex-wife, and the widow of the legendary Skandor Akbar.
* Dwayne buys a new car as a surprise for his housekeeper.
* [[http://instagram.com/p/v7pUvGIh9A/ Dwayne's 2014 Thanksgiving with his family.]]
* This is a big one that started on the 10/18/99 Raw. After seeing his first book, Have A Nice Day, thrown in the trash, Mankind laid into The Rock with a major TheReasonYouSuckSpeech, ripping on how arrogant and selfish he was after presumably throwing the book in the trash. While Foley was wrong about the book, as [[spoiler: Al Snow was the one who did it]], those words ended up striking a nerve with The Rock, who did not say a word in response. Fast forward to 12/27/99, where Mankind and Rock were forced into a "Pink Slip on a Pole" Match by the orders of the now [=McMahon=]-Helmsley Regime. Mankind lost. The heartwarming part that ties it all together would come on the 1/10/00 Raw: The Rock, armed with the entire roster in tow, threatened to walk out on the Regime if they did not do one thing: reinstate Mick Foley. This also crosses into CMOA territory, as this would be where he really morphed into the true People's Champion.
** A little after it was revealed that [[spoiler: Al Snow]] threw Mick’s book in the trash, what really ties up the angle in a nice bow is when Rock sees Mick again and he actually cites the end of the book (which mentions the Rock), showing that not only did he not throw the book away but even read it all the way to the end. The happiness Mick shows as he walks away knowing the Rock actually cared enough to read his book is something to behold.
* RAW is OWEN: Rock barely keeps it together during his pre-match promo, dedicating the upcoming People's Elbow to Owen Hart. During the match, he hits the move and goes for the cover, furiously pointing up as the referee makes the three count.
** While much of the promo is pretty standard for the character at the time, Rock— who only recently broke away from the Corporation and is still firmly a self-absorbed JerkJock— breaks Kayfabe for a split moment to express some genuine heartfelt emotion for the loss of his real life friend and former stablemate.
-->''Owen, this is your night and ''dammit'' the Rock loved you like no other.''
* On Halloween 2016, Dwayne Johnson dressed up as Pikachu to entertain his ten-month old daughter. He wound up dancing in the hot costume for hours. Because "That's what daddies do."
* After the February 2, 2017 episode of RAW went off the air, The Rock came out to the ring for an out-of-kayfabe chat with the fans in attendance. During that time, he allowed the fans to chant whatever they wanted without any interruption. And sure enough, their chant of choice was Wrestling/CMPunk. Rocky could have simply allowed the chant to carry on for a while to sate the crowd and called it a night, but he instead took it a step further by personally calling Punk himself on the phone. The call sadly went unanswered, leaving only a prompt to leave a voice message...which Rocky did, stating that he was standing in the Los Angeles Staples Center, with fifteen thousand fans loudly chanting and cheering for him. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75qLehyNFCQ The entire segment can be seen here]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHjuyk9r8AM in two parts]]. Regardless of what people say about Rocky putting an end to Punk's early 2010's WWE Championship reign, as well as Punk's own unceremonious departure from the WWE, [[TrueCompanions he nonetheless remains one of a handful of people that Punk is on good terms with]].
** Conversely, Punk didn’t answer due to bad reception making him unaware that Rock was even calling him (Punk would later note he got DOZENS of texts at that moment telling him to answer his phone to the point that he thought someone had died) but managed to text back and open a dialogue to clear the air on any friction that might have occurred during their program together. The Rock made clear he held zero ill will with Punk.
* Generally speaking, whenever any of Johnson's NiceGuy moments arise, heartwarming abounds.
* For years, Dwayne has been wanting to portray Black Adam on the big screen, having been slated since at least November 2007. [[Film/BlackAdam2022 He's able to play him]] [[SavedFromDevelopmentHell after a period of nearly]] ''[[SavedFromDevelopmentHell 15 years]]''. Talk about determination.
