* After a 1997 feud with Randy Savage that made his career, DDP called Randy at Thanksgiving to thank him for helping him reach stardom. Savage called back, so astonished by the call that he had called his own father asking if he had heard of anyone doing something similar.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLOt5kwC4gA This video]], where he and Wrestling/JakeRoberts reach out to Wrestling/ScottHall.
** On that same note, the fact that DDP has played a '''major''' role in helping Hall and Roberts clean up their lives. It's definitely a journey, not a destination, but DDP is dedicated to helping them, and all reports indicated that Roberts and Hall want to follow through.
** And on another note, DDP being the one to officially induct Roberts into the WWE Hall of Fame.
** Just... the work DDP did with Jake and Scott in its entirety. Absolutely ''no one'' would dispute that he ''saved their lives'' when he reached out to them, took them into his home and helped them climb up from the absolute worst places of their lives, to a point where they were able to stand proud like the great men they were before. Both were human wrecks, but thanks to his intervention, both have not only lived to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame alongside their fellow legends, they're both still going strong. (Unfortunately, health issues related to his drug addiction would claim Scott Hall's life in 2022, but it's still far longer than he would have had without DDP's help. Jake however is, as of 9/4/23, still among the living and still incredible friends with Page.) Among the IWC, Diamond Dallas Page is seen as nothing less than a ''saint'' for what he's done for those two beloved icons of the industry.
** Wrestling/SeanWaltman (he of XPacHeat fame) has also credited DDP with helping him get clean, sober, and healthy, and Wrestling/MickFoley thanks him for helping him regain a lot of mobility and quality of life he'd [[DentedIron sacrificed to his brutal career over the years]].
* His Hall of Fame induction, which seemed to be an apology for his disastrous run during the [=InVasion=] Era. His speech itself was a combination of heartwarming, funny and tearjerker.
** Also from his induction [[Wrestling/EricBischoff Eric Bischoff]] saying that he wished he had been in the crowd watching Page's late mentor Dusty Rhodes do his induction.
