[[caption-width-right:300:[[MilestoneCelebration After 20 years]] of ups and downs, Creator/CartoonNetwork is still [[{{Slogans}} the best place for cartoons.]] [[note]] [[ContinuityNod Not for me, man, not for me!!]][[/note]]]]
* The 20th Birthday Celebration. Cartoon Network devoting the entire month of October 2012 to celebrate their heritage past and present. All the fans praise the network and thank it for 20 wonderful years of memories.
** The 30th Birthday Celebration in 2022, which went even further, with this [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lb7o1E0ImlM&list=LL&index=172 tribute video]], using "Memories" by ''Music/{{Weezer}}''. The video includes not only the Cartoon Network originals such as ''WesternAnimation/DextersLaboratory'', ''WesternAnimation/JohnnyBravo'' and ''WesternAnimation/EdEddnEddy'', but also Golden Age classics from the networks infancy, such as ''Popeye'' and the very earliest ''Loony Tunes''. Not to mention lesser known CN classics such as ''WesternAnimation/SheepInTheBigCity'', ''WesternAnimation/TimeSquad'' and ''WesternAnimation/MegasXLR''.
* After the death of Creator/ChuckJones in 2002, what did the network do? They aired four straight hours of Jones-directed shorts (including the banned "Frigid Hare"[[note]]a Bugs Bunny cartoon that had Bugs doing battle with an Eskimo. It was banned from the June Bugs special that was supposed to have 12 Bugs Bunny cartoons that had racially offensive caricatures as villains[[/note]]) the following weekend on ''The Looney Tunes Show'' (not the sitcom, the installment show featuring nothing but Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoon shorts).
* The InMemoriam segment from the ''Fancy Anvil Awards'' show, which presented tributes to William Hanna, Chuck Jones and Maurice Noble.
* Their tribute to Joe Barbera when he passed away in 2006.
* Heck, [[https://twitter.com/cartoonnetwork/status/1067574249299288064 they even paid tribute to Stephen Hillenburg after his death]], and he was the creator of [[WesternAnimation/SpongebobSquarepants the flagship show]] of '''[[{{Creator/Nickelodeon}} their rival network!]]'''
* Say what you will about the CN Sayin' promotion, but it's kinda sweet to see so many kids saying how much they love the network and its shows.
* The fact that ''WesternAnimation/SamuraiJack'', a show that is often considered to be Cartoon Network's best yet, is being brought back with new episodes is not only awesome, but also heartwarming when you consider this: one aspect of the channel's NetworkDecay was the seeming hatred and dismissal of straight-up action shows such as ''WesternAnimation/SymBionicTitan'' and ''WesternAnimation/BewareTheBatman''. Despite this (and the show being planned for airing on Creator/AdultSwim), the new episodes are still being produced by ''Cartoon Network Studios''. While too early to tell, it could easily be a sign that Cartoon Network is once again beginning to see the merit in action shows.
* The bumpers that depicted [[Franchise/ScoobyDoo Velma]] and [[WesternAnimation/JohnnyBravo Johnny]] as an OfficialCouple.
* It might seem kind of small, but Creator/{{Boomerang}} has been airing some of Cartoon Network's classic shows again, like ''WesternAnimation/CourageTheCowardlyDog'', ''WesternAnimation/DextersLaboratory'', ''WesternAnimation/TheGrimAdventuresOfBillyAndMandy'', ''WesternAnimation/CodenameKidsNextDoor'', and ''WesternAnimation/FostersHomeForImaginaryFriends''. Keep in mind the word "again" there, because Boomerang hasn't done something like that for a while. Even if most of these shows air pretty late, it's still pretty sweet (and kind of [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome awesome]]) to see Boomerang at least ''try'' to do something nice for the fans who miss those shows.
** This is obviously Boomerang's answer to Creator/AdultSwim and Creator/{{TeenNick}}'s [[Creator/NickRewind retro block]]. The channel is airing classic shows at the same time as those blocks to target older viewers. Back when Boomerang relaunched, they only did this after dark and the only classic Cartoon Network show they aired was ''Foster's''.[[note]]There were other older shows they aired during the dead hours of the morning when they relaunched, but those were shows that either already aired [[WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes throughout]] [[WesternAnimation/TomAndJerry the day]], or they [[WesternAnimation/TheFlintstones weren't from]] [[WesternAnimation/TheSmurfs Cartoon Network]] at all.[[/note]]The fact they're actually building on this is something to appreciate.
* Cartoon Network supporting progressive causes like racial justice and the LGBTQ+ community. Although CN has gotten into controversy for canceling ''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse'' for Ruby and Sapphire's wedding, they have shown that they do care for LGBTQ+ people. They teamed up with National Black Justice Coalition to produce ''WebAnimation/TheCrystalGemsSayBeAntiRacist'' and [[https://www.pride.com/geek/2020/12/15/cartoon-network-breaks-down-gender-pronouns-cute-new-psa a comic]] about gender pronouns. They've also been playing up ''WesternAnimation/CraigOfTheCreek'' as of late, and the show is a huge hit with the black community.
