* When Pig (under the disguise of Snotty Boy) comforts Nathan Beady in "A Tale of Two Snottys". It's the only time anyone feels sympathy for the poor uncle of Snotty Boy.
* When Nora notices Snotty Boy's cousin Bernard physically abusing him, she forgets all about filming Otis and doesn't even notice him taking her video camera out of her hand, demonstrating that her love for her nephew is far stronger than her desire to expose the animals.
* Bessy falls in love with one of the alien invaders from ''Aliens'', until he freezes Pip in [[BlandNameProduct carbomite]], then she won't have it.
-->'''Bessy''': [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold Where do you come off]] [[MamaBear freeze drying my friends!?]]
* In Baxter's debut episode, as soon as the others realize "Duke" is an imposter, they immediately want the real one back with no hesitation whatsoever. Because (as they admit later) even if Baxter is much more fun, Duke is still a part of their family.
* Nathan accepting Nora back with open arms in "Beady and the Beasts". It really shows that, as crazy as he thinks she is, [[AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther he still loves her]].
** Nora herself going through a ([[StatusQuoIsGod temporary]]) HeelFaceTurn and befriending the animals at the barnyard. She annoys them, yes, but she still enjoys their company herself and even apologizes for how cruel she had been to them in the past.
** A small one for Otis; he reluctantly allows Mrs. Beady to stay at the barnyard, but is ready to throw her back out when she [[PapaWolf insults Pig]].
* It's played for laughs, but it's still rather sweet to see Everett reuniting with his old Franchise/IndianaJones-expy owner at the end of "Everett's Treasure".
* Otis and the other animals finding out the Farmer wasn't going to eat them in "Escape from the Barnyard."
* Quite a few in "My Beautiful Freddy".
** Freddy allows himself to be shocked to make his friends happy.
** The other animals (Mainly Otis) being nervous to keep shocking Freddy.
** Freddy's chat with Albert Einstein.
* The reveal that Otis and Abby have feelings for each other in "Cupig," [[TwiceShy despite neither of them admitting it.]]
* "Otis vs. Bigfoot":
** It's really sweet to how Bigfoot so readily accepted by everyone at the barnyard (minus Otis) and Bigfoot's relationship with Abby proves to be really sweet.
** After Bigfoot saves Otis from a tranquilizer dart shot by Mrs. Beady, Otis realizes that he had been wrong about Bigfoot all along and he and Abby drag him back to the barnyard.
** At the very end of the episode, after Otis and the rest of the gang have saved Bigfoot from being taken away by the police, Otis apologizes to Bigfoot for how he acted towards him and says that he can stay at the barnyard for as long as he likes. Bigfoot (with Abby translating for him) is touched by the offer but decides to leave anyway--not because he doesn't want to be there, but as a way to protect Otis, Abby and the others (feeling that he'd be a danger to them). So Bigfoot leaves, but not before sharing a heartfelt goodbye with everyone.
