* Ken Wyatt's maiden speech in the House of Representatives in 2010. He is the first Australian Aborigine in the House of Representatives and watching his speech the entire way through is incredibly touching and heart warming, especially when every single person in the chamber gave him a standing ovation and shook his hand. * Ricky Muir's tenure in the Senate. Muir was elected off the back of a lot of late preference votes and very few primaries, for a party that didn't exist before the last election. His election came as a surprise to just about everyone, not least him, but he hasn't let that stop him from giving it his all. In the early days, he was a political punchline just from the circumstances of his election, but over the span of this Parliament, he has earned the respect of Australians for being something basically unique in our Parliament right now: an honest man trying to do the right thing.
